Though her husband has been in office for less than half a year,
first lady Melania Trump has already made a surprising number of
gestures — more than former first lady Michelle Obama ever did, it seems
— to showcase her appreciation for our men and women in uniform.
On Friday, for instance, she posted an image to her Facebook page
thanking a specific U.S. Army regiment for helping her and her staff
arrive safely to their meetings at the G-7 summit in Italy.
“Thank you to the @usarmy 1-214th Aviation Regiment for getting me
& my staff to our mtgs safely today!” she specifically wrote.
This is just one small example of Melania showering our deserving soldiers with love. Many more exist.
Prior to her leaving with President Donald Trump last week for their nine-day overseas tour,
the first lady announced she would be “meeting with the wives and
children of U.S. and allied soldiers” during the couple’s pass through
Italy, according to Newsweek.
Earlier this month, the presidential couple invited “active-duty troops, their spouses and mothers” to the White House for a special Mother’s Day event:
“While you stand with many other parents, so strong and so proud, I
am sure that you sometimes march on this journey alone,” Melania said at
the event. “While your sons and daughters are away serving so
selflessly, having a community share even some of that burden must make
all the difference in the world.”
And just last month the first lady reportedly wore a khaki green, military-themed suit during her husband’s meeting with Argentine President Mauricio Macri and first lady Juliana Awada:
All of this isn’t to say that former first lady Michelle Obama did nothing for the military, as that would be a bold-faced lie.
It does admittedly appear, however, that Melania’s gestures toward
our men and women in uniform have carried more weight and sincerity than
those of her predecessor.
Suffice it to say, whereas it always felt as if Michelle were merely
playing a role, with Melania, the love and appreciation seem 100 percent
real.

While touring the historic city of Siena in Italy, both Barack and
Michelle Obama visited one of the oldest Catholic churches in the
region, but the former first lady shocked onlookers with her
disrespectful attire.
Photos from the U.K. Daily Mail
reveal that Michelle showed a surprising amount of skin while entering
the Siena Cathedral, a famous religious site. Instead of following the
established rules of modesty out of respect for the location, Obama was
seen with a top that was nearly falling off her body.
While the tiny single-strap shirt might have been comfortable at the
beach, it was noticeably out of place at a holy church. According to the
travel information site MyGola, the first lady’s choice was a clear violation of the formal dress code in Italian churches.
“What is the dress code for visiting the cathedral? No bare shoulders
and no skirts or shorts above the knee,” the site warns visitors.
It would be one thing if the top were worn by a random tourist who simply didn’t know better. The Obamas, however, continue to represent the United States as former White House residents.
With all eyes — and cameras — on the couple, the wife of the 44th
president simply should have known better. Instead, Michelle Obama
seemed to be actively flaunting the rules and religious customs in the
home country of Catholicism.
The entire European trip by the Obamas has been a whirlwind of “top one percent” opulence and excess. According to BizPac Review,
the couple arrived in Italy aboard a private plane escorted by a
formation of fighter jets. After a motorcade route through the Italian
streets, a $15,000-per-night luxury villa was waiting for them. For people who railed against the rich and lectured Americans about
their “fair share,” Barack and Michelle Obama apparently have no sense of irony — or modesty.

Obama admin gave taxpayer money to Soros to spark leftist political revolution
(Free Beacon) – A group of leading senators is calling on newly
installed Secretary of State Rex Tillerson to immediately launch an
investigation into efforts by the Obama administration to sway foreign
elections by sending taxpayer funds to “extreme and sometimes violent
political activists” that promote leftist causes, according to a copy of
the letter.
The lawmakers disclosed multiple conversations with foreign diplomats
who outlined active political meddling by the Obama administration’s
State Department, including the use of taxpayer funds to support leftist
causes in Macedonia, Albania, Latin America, and Africa.
A portion of this State Department funding appears to have gone to
organizations supported by the controversial liberal billionaire George
Soros, according to the letter, which was authored by Republican Sens.
Mike Lee (Utah), Jim Inhofe (Okla.), Thom Tillis (N.C.), Ted Cruz
(Texas), David Perdue (Ga.), and Bill Cassidy (La.).
The senators are asking Tillerson to launch a full-scale
investigation into these funding efforts in order to determine how
exactly the Obama administration sought to promote left-leaning causes
and political parties across the globe.
The latest disclosures of this activity mirror efforts by the Obama
administration to send taxpayer funds to Israeli organizations that
opposed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the country’s last
election.
Political leaders from a range of nations spent months informing the lawmakers about these activities.
“Over the past few months, elected officials and political leaders of
foreign nations have been coming to me with disappointing news and
reports of U.S. activity in their respective countries,” Lee said in a
statement. “This includes reports of diplomats playing political
favorites, USAID funds supporting extreme and sometimes violent
political activists, and the U.S. government working to marginalize the
moderates and conservatives in leadership roles.”
“This sort of political favoritism from our missions around the world
is unacceptable and endangers our bilateral relationships,” he said.
The senators are seeking an investigation that would review “all
funds associated with promoting democracy and governance and review the
programs, accounts, and multiplicity of U.S. entities involved in such
activities.”
Such an investigation could shed light on the distribution of
taxpayer funds to organizations and causes meant to instigate
left-leaning political change abroad.
The letter insists that Tillerson should “review how all our tax
dollars are being utilized in order to halt activities that are
fomenting political unrest, disrespecting national sovereignty and civil
society, and ultimately undermine our attempts to build beneficial
international relationships.”
The lawmakers outline specific evidence of political meddling.
“We have received credible reports that, over the past few years, the
U.S. Mission there has actively intervened in the party politics of
Macedonia, as well as in the shaping of its media environment and civil
society, often favoring left-leaning political groups over others,” they
wrote.
This activity was pushed by USAID and groups associated with Soros’ Open Society Foundations, according to the lawmakers.
The organizations are said to have pushed a “progressive agenda”
meant to “invigorate the political left” using taxpayer funds, according
the letter.
“Respected leaders from Albania have made similar claims of U.S.
diplomats and Soros-backed organizations pushing for certain political
outcomes in their country,” the lawmakers wrote.
“Time and again, foreign leaders visiting Washington have expressed
concerns to us about how American taxpayer funds are being used
counterproductively in their respective countries,” the lawmakers
disclosed, referring to efforts undertaken in Latin America and Africa.
This type of interference in foreign countries must stop immediately, the lawmakers said.
For months, the NYPD has had their hands on Anthony Wiener’s laptop.
Wiener, the estranged husband of former Clinton top advisor Huma Abedin,
was of course just one of the many pedophiles infesting the upper
strata of our society today. And that laptop was chock full of
incriminating information, from the evidence of visits to Jeffrey
Epstein’s sex island and even State Department emails.

administration has been cracking down hard on the DC pedophiles, with
thousands of arrests since his inauguration. Of course, this has
gone largely unreported by the hypocritical mainstream media. However,
the question remains: is what they are doing enough and are they really
going after the pedophiles at the highest level?

NYPD is doing the entire nation a great service, according to Erick
Prince, the founder of Blackwater and a retired Navy Seal. He is well
known in military, security and law enforcement circles and has strong
contacts within the New York Police Department. They are
confirming some very serious and disturbing information that is leaking
out about just what was on the Weiner laptop. Prince was interviewed on
Breitbart radio on Friday.
According to Prince, “They found State Department emails.
They found a lot of other really damning criminal information,
including money laundering, including the fact that Hillary went to this
sex island with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Bill Clinton went
there more than 20 times. Hillary Clinton went there at least six
times.”
He said, “The amount of garbage that they found in emails, of
criminal activity by Hillary, by her immediate circle, even by other
Democrat members of Congress, was so disgusting, they then gave it to
the FBI and they said, ‘We’re going to go public with this
if you don’t reopen the investigation, you don’t do the right thing with
timely indictments.”
Prince reveals that the NYPD wanted to hold a press conference and
announce the additional arrests they were making and they received huge
pushback to the point of coercion from the Justice Department. He
said the Justice Department went so far as to direct them to charge an
unrelated individual in the Eric Garner case of almost two years before.
He says, “That’s the level of pushback the Obama Justice Department is
doing against actually seeking justice in these email and other related
criminal matters. He says in the unfortunate instance of Hillary Clinton
being “elected” president there will be a constitutional crisis unlike
anything since 1860.
Prince says, “NYPD was the first one to look at that
laptop. Weiner and Huma Abedin, his wife, the closest adviser of Hillary
Clinton of twenty years, have both flipped. They are cooperating with
the government. They see potential jail time of many years for their
crimes.”
NYPD kept a copy of the computer and passed a copy on to the FBI, which was what forced Comey to reopen the investigation. He says, “NYPD has all the information and they will pursue justice, within their rights, if the FBI doesn’t. And there is all kind of criminal culpability, there’s all of the emails they’ve seen, of that 650,000, including
money laundering, underage sex, pay for play, and of course, plenty of
proof of inappropriate handling, sending and receiving of classified
information, up to SAP level special access programs.
He quotes one of the NYPD Chiefs, saying, “As a parent, as a father
with daughters, he could not let that level of evil continue.”

I live in Nevada but have a Arizona CCW...I owned property in Arizona and visit from time to time...and yes I had to take the CCW course as well as pass the CCW federal background check for my non resident Arizona permit which is valid in Nevada. Nevada's constitution allows for open carry without permit same as 12 other states including Arizona.

Californians have a lot on the line in the next
congressional debate about America’s gun laws. Two bills stacked with
legislative sponsors — HB 38 in the House, SB 446
in the Senate — would override our state’s longstanding rules governing
who is allowed to carry a concealed, loaded firearm in public. These
bills, both called the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act, would dictate
that if a person can carry a concealed weapon in any state, that person
could carry it everywhere in America. This should be a call to action
for all Californians concerned about keeping their families safe.
Twelve
states do not require any permit to carry hidden, loaded guns within
their borders. Some states’ rules have been so ineffective as to allow
felons to carry concealed weapons. Not so in California. Our laws
require good cause for the issuance of a concealed weapon permit.
Applicants must undergo a comprehensive background check. No one with a
serious criminal conviction may receive a permit, nor may subjects of
temporary or permanent domestic violence restraining orders.
But if concealed carry reciprocity were the law of the
land, all this would change. Unbelievably, the House version would allow
an individual denied a permit in California to cross the border to a
more permissive state, obtain a permit there, then return to California —
with a new right to carry here.
Because
concealed carry reciprocity poses grave risks, the National Law
Enforcement Partnership to Prevent Gun Violence, including the Major
Cities Chiefs Assn. and the International Assn. of Chiefs of Police,
along with the Assn. of Prosecuting Attorneys, the leaders of
Prosecutors Against Gun Violence and many other partners in law
enforcement, have strongly opposed it.
While the
practical implications of this proposal are deeply troubling, the
politics surrounding the debate are surreal. Members of Congress who
have invoked states’ rights for years have supported these bills, even
though concealed carry reciprocity destroys the notion that states
should decide for themselves which rules best keep their residents safe.
Why lawmakers in D.C. are acting this way would be
something of a mystery but for the fact that concealed carry reciprocity
has been a top priority of gun rights organizations such as the
National Rifle Assn. Invigorated by the recent election, gun rights
advocates deride what they see as an inconsistent “patchwork” of
concealed carry laws across the nation.If that were the
real concern, though, Congress could take entirely different steps.
Robust, national concealed carry standards similar to California’s would
address the patchwork issue while protecting law enforcement officers
and the public. Instead, concealed carry reciprocity defaults to the
least stringent standards, with states like Arizona — where there are no
universal background checks and residents can carry concealed weapons
with no permit at all — dictating policy nationwide.
Finally,
concealed carry reciprocity could damage our business community. Were
great numbers of out-of-state visitors authorized to carry concealed
guns in California, all sorts of venues — sports arenas, theme parks,
commercial buildings — could be choked with metal detectors or other
barriers installed by business owners legitimately concerned about their
patrons’ safety.
Forcing concealed carry reciprocity is
dangerous and undermines California’s gun laws. Lawmakers should find

As a crowd chanted “Take him down, Take him down,” a statue of Civil
War Gen. Robert E. Lee that has stood in New Orleans for over 130 years
was removed by activists last week.
With efforts by liberal activists to erase Confederate history growing across the nation, some worry that the Arlington House memorial for deceased Gen. Lee might be next.
Situated in Arlington, Virginia, the memorial is in fact a mansion
(Arlington House, but formally known as Custis-Lee Mansion) adjoining a
former plantation that overlooks the Potomac River and the National Mall
in Washington, D.C., and whose sacred grounds constitute the home of
Arlington National Cemetery.
The property was inherited by Gen. Lee’s wife, Mary Lee, in 1857 from
her father, George Washington Parke Custis, and served as the Lee’s
family home up until 1864, or approximately three years into the Civil
War.
Two years earlier, Congress passed a law allowing commissioners to
impose heavy levies “on real estate in ‘insurrectionary districts,'”
according to Smithsonian magazine. The bill was designed “to raise revenue for the war, but also to punish turncoats like Lee.”
Stuck elsewhere due to the raging war and poor health conditions,
Mary Lee reportedly sent her cousin to pay the tax sometime afterward.
The commissioners rejected her money, arguing that Lee had to be present
in person — and subsequently declaring the property in default. It was
sold on January 11, 1864, in an auction to the federal government.
Given that “the increasing number of battle fatalities was outpacing
the burial capacity of” cemeteries in Washington, D.C., 200 acres of the
plantation were immediately set aside as a cemetery, according to the
Arlington National Cemetery’s official website.
As of 2016, more than 400,000 Americans have been buried there, according to CNN,
making it the second-largest cemetery in the nation. Among the dead
were heroes of every stripe, including former President William Howard
Taft, former President John F. Kennedy, former Supreme Court Associate
Justice Thurgood Marshall, etc.
As for Gen. Lee and his family, they never returned to the property, as noted by the National park Service. Instead they resettled in Lexington and were later financially compensated for the estate.
Last but not least is Arlington House, which still stands tall and
proud in 2017, serving as a stark reminder of the unintentional but
still fundamental role the deceased Confederate general and his family
have played in the lives of over 400,000 American heroes and leaders.
To try and destroy this memorial would be the worst decision of a pitiful liberal’s life.
We understand loud and clear that liberals loathe history, particularly
if it offends their sensibilities, but here’s the thing: History cannot
be changed; it’s an inexorable component of existence.
Moreover, the history of this particular memorial is especially
ironclad, and any attempt to pervert it would be more than just wrong;
it would be sacrilegious, and we’d like to think that liberals are above
sacrilege.

House Speaker Paul Ryan said Wednesday he disagrees with President
Donald Trump’s stance that former FBI Director James Comey is a “nut
job.”
Ryans remarks were in response to a New York Times
report that Trump told Russian officials in the Oval Office that firing
“nut job” Comey relieved the “great pressure because of Russia” he was
facing.
“Yeah, I don’t agree with that and he’s not (a nut job)” Ryan told Axios reporter Mike Allen at the Axios News Shapers event.
Ryan later added, “I like Jim Comey.”
Allen asked the house speaker if he was concerned that Comey was
reportedly alone with the president when asked if he would drop his
investigation into former national security adviser Michael Flynn.
Ryan refused to answer, saying he had no way to verify the accuracy of the reports.
“I don’t know the veracity of these things but that — that’s what we
have an investigation. What I’m not going to do is comment on things
that are under ongoing review,” Ryan said.
Ryan said he would not play “armchair quarterback” and prejudge an
outcome when the federal government has three concurrent investigations
into alleged Russian interference in the 2016 presidential elections.
“You’ve got a House Intelligence Committee investigation, a Senate
Intelligence Committee investigation and a special counsel run by Bob
Mueller who I don’t think anybody has any problems with his
credibility,” Ryan said.
“These are independent investigations. They will follow the facts
wherever the facts go and we need to let that happen here,” Ryan
added. “Let the investigation take its course. Don’t prejudge it and
goes wherever it goes.”
White House press secretary Sean Spicer did not refute the Times’ story that Trump views Comey as a “nut job.”
Spicer accused the ousted FBI director of “grandstanding and
politicizing” the Russia investigation to such a degree the Trump
administration was unable to properly engage with Moscow.
“The president has always
emphasized the importance of making deals with Russia as it relates to
Syria, Ukraine, defeating ISIS and other key issues for the benefit and
safety of the American people,” Spicer told CNN. “By grandstanding and
politicizing the investigation into Russia’s actions, James Comey
created unnecessary pressure on our ability to engage and negotiate with

South Korea will not allow North Korea to threaten its people, so
after North Korea launched an unidentified object into their southern
neighbor’s territory, the country responded with military force.
According to Newsmax,
the incident occurred on Tuesday, May 23. Some media outlets speculated
that the object might have been a drone. But South Korean officials
didn’t care what it was — they immediately sent a military warning to
North Korea. Fox News reported that in response to the incident, South Korea fired 90 machine gun rounds toward the North Korean border.
But they didn’t stop there. South Korean officials then launched air
surveillance to make sure their adversaries understood the consequences
of their actions.
According to BBC News,
South Korea’s military is not letting up. In a statement, the country’s
leaders promised to “maintain high vigilance” after the incident.
This after a May 22 gathering of the UN Security Council, during
which members agreed to “take further significant measures including
sanctions” to force North Korea to stop its “highly destabilizing
behavior.”
This is not the first time South Korea
has warned its neighboring country about foreign objects. In January
2016, South Korea fired warning shots when a North Korean drone flew
into the country’s airspace.
North Korea recently announced its ability to successfully produce
long-range drones. Although it is unconfirmed, the theory that the
“unidentified object” in South Korea was a drone might very well be
true.
The country, led by Kim Jong-un, continues to intensify its nuclear missile tests in an effort to tout military prowess and defy calls to cease its tests.

In President Trump’s search for the new FBI Director, one under
serious consideration as a nominee is Senator Joe Lieberman. Democrat
leadership is going nuts because they feel like he is not a good fit

seems the Trump Administration is soft shoeing it to make some
political peace. I, for one, am here to tell them, STOP! It doesn’t

is not his area of expertise. No. No. No. The Democrats reason for not
wanting Joe Lieberman is because he is too extreme in his views.

Democrat leadership refuses to look at why they have lost so many
seats in so many houses across the nation. Why they lost the Senate, the
Congress, and the Presidency. And they keep pushing the same ideas that

their message out well enough, so they are doubling down on it. God

Bernie Sanders said that Joe Lieberman’s political history and extreme viewpoints on a number of issues make him unacceptable.
But Joe Lieberman received 100% from NARAL on abortion issues. That
means it’s a woman’s total right to choose, anytime and without apology!
Joe believes in manmade global warming/cooling climate change. Joe was
for the Cap and Trade bill. Joe received an almost 90% rating by the
Human Rights Coalition because he voted no on a constitutional ban of
same-sex marriage. He got an “F” from the NRA as a protector of Gun
rights (every Democrat’s dream!)
Joe was critical of Bush’s Medicare plan, and he voted in favor of
HIV early treatment initiative allowing people with HIV and aids to get
the medical treatment they needed through Medicare.
Joe has a 100% rating by the AFL-CIO and many other unions. Joe voted
against Bush’s Social Security overhaul plan along with the Dems. He
almost switched to Republican registration but decided not to because it
would have given an even 50/50 split in the Senate giving Dick Chaney
the deciding vote. And Joe supported NAFTA and CAFTA (along with Dems).
But he’s way too radical for Dems, right? OK, I get it. Maybe it was because Joe didn’t agree with Democrats on:
His support for Israel.
Not supporting IRAN.
Believed Saddam Hussein was developing WMDs.
He supported military action In Iraq.
Joe supported formation of a Department of Homeland Security.
Joe believes in MASSIVE defense spending.
Joe backed every military action we have taken since the early 1980’s.
Joe backs voucher programs for education.
Joe wanted to rescind American Citizenship for Americans who joined ISIS.
Now many of you won’t agree with me, but Joe sounds like a Great
American. He’s an independent thinker. He doesn’t always side with Party
ideology. What he is doing is what he believes to be right for
Americans, not party or particular groups. He works across the aisle
when needed.
And apparently, in the New Dictionary of Democrat Terms (soon to be released on Amazon) that makes you extreme.

undercut more generous Medicare benefits in Obamacare and his relative
closeness to Trump.
Senate Minority Whip Dick Durbin (D-Ill.): “All the voting history, all the party history, UGH!”
Many said it was his relationships with past Presidents Bush and
current relationships with Senator John McCain and President Trump that
also made him suspect.
All great reasons not to bring him up as a nominee… NOT!
Once again, Democrats are proving the point that they are so out of
touch with Americans. Americans want movement in government. Real
movement. On real issues that actually help Americans get jobs and build
businesses.
Americans don’t want Republicans or Democrats. And they sure as heck don’t want Democrat Progressive Socialists in office.
They want America. A solid and secure America. They want a real free
America. With freedom of religion, freedom of speech, and freedom to
grow your business the way you should be able to. Simply put, the
freedom and liberty to pursue happiness and prosperity.
Both party leaders need to listen and act. Democrats, your policies
were rejected and rejected big. You need to listen to your Average
American Democrats and adjust accordingly.

carry out what you were voted in to do or get ready to collect

Liberals the nation over have been unabashedly supportive of the New
Fascist movement in America, with the First Amendment being the primary
target of their heinous affront on our national dignity.
Not only have New Fascist rioters violently shut down conservative
engagement on more than one occasion, some of the internet’s most
prominent social media sites are getting in on the action as well,
censoring any sharing of information that refutes their invented
narrative. Facebook’s trending topics section has been completely
cultivated by leftist ideas, complete with a blacklist of conservative
websites that are automatically removed from the algorithm, no matter
the popularity of their stories.
Now, only a few days after one of Twitter’s founders declared his
regret over allowing free speech on the platform, the realtime social
media giant has taken another step toward full-on fascism with the suspension of a news outlet’s account after they reported on a potentially disastrous story for the DNC.
“On Wednesday, Twitter sent a message to WND with the tweet, and a
button to click for deletion. ‘If you feel that your account has been
locked in error, you can appeal by contacting our support team here,’
the company said.
“Another message stated: ‘We’ve temporarily limited some of your account features.’
“’What happened? We have determined that you have violated the
Twitter Rules, so we’ve temporarily limited some of your account
features. While in this state, you can still browse Twitter, but you’re
limited to only sending Direct Messages to your followers – no tweets,
retweets, or likes. Your account will be restored to full functionality
in: 11 hours and 10 minutes.’
“A WND company official confirmed the tweet was deleted per the company’s instructions.
“The news story was about a hot political controversy sweeping Washington these days, about
how a private detective revealed it was former Democratic National
Committee interim chairwoman Donna Brazile who was the high-ranking DNC
representative who allegedly called police and the family of murdered
DNC staffer Seth Rich and demanded to know why a private investigator
was ‘snooping’ into the case.
“The detective, Rod Wheeler, told WND, ‘The high-ranking DNC official
that called the police after I inquired about Rich’s case was Donna
Brazile. Why shouldn’t I reveal who it was?'”
This new tactic of blatant media censorship is not only an affront to
the First Amendment in the U.S., but also extremely dirty – even by
democratic standards.
Twitter’s complacency to whomever requested that news regarding Seth
Rich be censored is an extraordinarily terrifying new development in the
New Fascism movement. Not only are ground-level activists now able to
completely eradicate conservative speech via their hate-filled rioting,
but one of the most prominent sources of realtime information on the
internet has also been compromised.
Twitter has been an incredible tool for news organizations and
citizens alike. Their previously unfiltered feeds were once the
lifeblood of the 24 hour news cycle, allowing outlets to contact those
directly involved in breaking news stories directly, massively
increasing the speed at which the American people could experience the
world around them. Now, as Twitter has proven to be compromised by the
leftist powers that be, we are now finally catching a glimpse of the
totalitarian future that the democrats would have for us should we ever
allow them back into power.
Those who do not study history are doomed to repeat it, and for
tonight’s homework, every American should research the Nazi propaganda
machine and their book-burnings.
A century before American soldiers fought Muslim terrorism in the
Middle East, they fought it in the Philippines. Their attackers were
Moro Muslims whose savage fanaticism appeared inexplicable. A formerly
friendly Muslim might suddenly attack American soldiers, local Muslim
rulers promised friendship while secretly aiding the terrorists and the
yellow left-wing press at home seized on every report of an atrocity to
denounce American soldiers as murderers whose honor was forever soiled.
Much of what went on in that conflict, including the sacrifices of our
soldiers, has been forgotten. The erasure has been so thorough that the
media casually claims that the American forces did not use pig corpses
and pig’s blood to deter Muslim terrorists. Media fact checks have
deemed it a “legend”.
It’s not a legend. It’s history.
The practice began in
the Spanish period. A source as mainstream as the New Cambridge History
of Islam informs us that, "To discourage Juramentados, the Spaniards
buried their corpses with dead pigs."
Juramentados was the
Spanish term for the Muslim Jihadists who carried out suicide attacks
against Christians while shouting about Allah. American forces, who had
little experience with Muslim terrorists, adopted the term and the
Spanish tactics of burying Muslim terrorists alongside dead pigs.
It was a less sensitive age and even the New York Times
blithely observed that, “The Moros, though they still admire these
frenzied exits from the world, have practically ceased to utilize them,
since when a pig and a man occupy a single grave the future of the one
and the other are in their opinions about equal."
The New York Times conceded that the story "shocked a
large number of sensitive people," but concluded that, "while regretting
the necessity of adopting a plan so repugnant to humane ideas, we also
note that the Moros can stop its application as soon as they choose, and
therefore we feel no impulse either to condemn its invention or to
advise its abandonment. The scheme involves the waste of a certain
amount of pork, but pork in hot climates is an unwholesome diet, anyhow,
and the less of it our soldiers and other ‘infidels’ in the Philippines
have to eat the better for them."
Colonel Willis A. Wallace of the 15th
Cavalry claimed credit for innovating the practice in March 1903 to
dissuade the Muslim terrorist who believed that “every Christian he
kills places him so much closer in contact with the Mohammedan heaven.”
“Conviction and punishment of these men seemed to have no effect,”
Colonel Wallace related. After a “more than usually atrocious slaughter”
in the marketplace, he had the bodies of the killers placed on display
and encouraged “all the Moros in the vicinity who cared to do so to come
and see the remains”.
"A great crowd gathered where the internment was to take place and
it was there that a dead hog, in plain view of the multitude, was lifted
and placed in the grave in the midst of the three bodies, the Moro
grave-diggers themselves being required to do this much to their horror.
News of the form of punishment adopted soon spread."
"There is every indication that the method had a wholesome effect," Colonel Wallace concluded.
Colonel Wallace was certainly not the only officer to bury pigs with
Muslim terrorists in the Philippines, though he was apparently the only
one to discuss it in such great detail.
Medal of Honor winner
Colonel Frank West buried three pigs with three Muslim terrorists after
the murder of an American officer. He appears to have done so with the
approval of General Pershing. Some stories mention Colonel Alexander
Rodgers of the 6th Cavalry becoming so celebrated for it that he was
known to Moro Muslims as “The Pig”. One contemporary account does
describe him burying a pig with the corpse of a Muslim terrorist who had
murdered an American soldier.
Rear Admiral Daniel P Mannix
III had contended that, "What finally stopped the Juramentados was the
custom of wrapping the dead man in a pig's skin and stuffing his mouth
with pork".
Media fact checks have claimed that General John “Black Jack”
Pershing would not have offended Muslims by authorizing such a course of
action and that any claims of his involvement are also a legend.
General Pershing however wrote in his autobiography that, "These
Juramentado attacks were materially reduced in number by a practice that
the Mohamedans held in abhorrence. The bodies were publicly buried in
the same grave with a dead pig. It was not pleasant to have to take such
measures, but the prospect of going to hell instead of heaven sometimes
deterred the would-be assassins."
We can be certain then that
the practice of burying Muslim terrorists with pigs was indeed real and
fairly widespread. Was pig’s blood also used on Muslim terrorists as a
deterrent to prevent attacks?
The Scientific American described just such an event. In a
hard look at the area, it wrote of a place where, "Polygamy is
universally practiced and slavery exists very extensively. Horse
stealing is punishable by death, murder by a fine of fifty dollars. The
religion is Mohamedan.”
A Muslim terrorist, the magazine
wrote, “will suddenly declare himself ‘Juramentado’, that is inspired by
Mohammed to be a destroyer of Christians. He forthwith shaves his head
and eyebrows and goes forth to fulfill his mission."
The Scientific American
described how a Muslim terrorist who had disemboweled an American
soldier was made an example of. "A grave was dug without the walls of
the city. Into this the murderer was unceremoniously dropped. A pig was
then suspended by his hind legs above the grave and the throat of the
animal cut. Soon the body lay immersed in gore... a guard stood sentry
over the grave until dusk when the pig was buried side by side with the
Juramentado.”
“This so enraged the Moros that they besieged the city. Matters
became so grave that General Wood felt called upon to disperse the mob
resulting in the death of a number of Moros.”
It is clear from these accounts which encompass General Pershing’s autobiography, the New York Times and the Scientific American
that the use of pig corpses and pig’s blood in the Philippines was not a
legend, but fact. It was not carried out by a few rogue officers, but
had the support of top generals. It was not a single isolated incident,
but was a tactic that was made use of on multiple occasions.
American forces in the Philippines faced many of the same problems that
our forces do today. But they were often free to find more direct
solutions to them. When Muslim rulers claimed that they had no control
over the terrorists whom they had sent to kill Americans, our officers
responded in kind.
"Shortly after General Bates’ arrival on
the island, the Sultan sent word that there were some half dozen
Juramentados in Jolo over whom he had no control. General Bates replied,
‘Six hundred of my men have turned Juramentado and I have no control
over them.’"
Another version of this story by Rear Admiral Mannix III had
Admiral Hemphill dispatching a gunboat to shell the Sultan's palace and
then informing him that the gunboat had "turned Juramentado". As with
pig corpses and blood, such blunt tactics worked. Unfortunately
political correctness makes it difficult to utilize them today. And
political correctness carries with it a high price in American lives.
It is important that we remember the real history of a less
politically correct time when American lives mattered more than
upsetting those whom the New York Times deemed “sensitive people” and what another publication dismissed as the “sensitive spirit” of the Muslim terrorist.
But as that publication suggested, "It is not necessary to go into
spasms about the insult to the Mahometan conscience. Every Christian
that walks the earth is a living insult to that 'sensitive spirit'”.
“The murderer may feel that he is unduly treated by being defiled with
the touch of the swine, but he can avoid it by refraining from becoming
a practical Juramentado. Our sympathies, if anywhere, are with the
innocent pig slaughtered for such a purpose and buried in such company."
These days we do not bury pigs with Muslim terrorists. Our political and
military leaders shudder at the thought of Muslims accusing us of
blasphemy. And so instead we bury thousands of American soldiers.

Former Sen. Joe Lieberman is no longer under consideration to head
the FBI as President Donald Trump continues to search for a replacement
for ousted James Comey, CNN is reporting.

Lieberman, an ex-Democratic senator and former candidate for vice
president who changed his affiliation to Independent, had been
considered a frontrunner for the post, The New York Times reported.
And shortly before leaving on his current foreign trip, Trump said he
was "very close" to selecting someone to fill the position that became
vacant when he fired Comey.
But, according to the Times, Trump's staff had urged him to take more time in making the decision.
And now Trump has decided he want a broader range of candidates for the post, CNN reported.
Trump is retaining the services of lawyer Marc Kasowitz to help navigate the investigations into his campaign, The Washington Post reported.
And the Post noted naming Lieberman to head the FBI would likely have
presented a conflict of interest since Lieberman is currently a senior
counsel at Kasowitz's law firm.
Democrats were opposed to naming Lieberman as FBI director, Politico reported.
"Some Senate Democrats hold a grudge against Lieberman for his
rightward turn and opposition to some of President Barack Obama's agenda
late in his Senate career," Politico wrote in its report. "Others say
even though they respect Lieberman, the job of FBI director should not
go to a former politician. And all Democratic senators interviewed for
this story said the former Connecticut senator lacks the kind of
experience needed for the post."

Upon arriving in Israel on Monday as part of his nine-day overseas tour,
U.S. President Donald Trump and his wife, Melania, shared a touching
moment of bonding and camaraderie with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin
Netanyahu and his wife, Sara, during a brief discussion on the tarmac.
“I talk every place about how great she is and how great you are,” Sara Netanyahu told the president.
“I can testify to that,” the Israeli prime minister chimed in.
“Because the majority of the people in Israel, unlike the media, they
love us — so we tell them how you are great, so they love you,” Sara
Netanyahu continued.
“We have very much in common,” the U.S. president replied.
“Sounds familiar,” the Israeli PM added.

How right they are. Both the Israeli PM and the U.S. president faced
seemingly insurmountable opposition from the media during the 2015
Israeli elections and the 2016 U.S. elections, respectively.
In both instances, the media wanted these candidates to lose. Yet
both times they won handily, enraging the media in the process.
“For anyone who did not sleep last night, but spent the wee hours
watching as television exit polls began slowly to give way to the actual
results … there was a surreal moment … when the floor seemed to give
way under your feet,” Israel’s most liberal newspaper, Haaretz, whined following Netanyahu’s latest election victory on March 17, 2015.
“Donald John Trump was elected the 45th president of the United
States on Tuesday in a stunning culmination of an explosive, populist
and polarizing campaign that took relentless aim at the institutions and
long-held ideals of American democracy,” The New York Times cried after Trump’s victory on Nov. 8, 2016.
To be fair, Netanyahu did enjoy one advantage over his U.S. peer:
There wasn’t a concerted effort by his nation’s liberal media to undo
his victory via the promulgation of uncorroborated claims
of Russian collusion. Suffice it to say, Israeli media had the sense to
accept its election loss, whereas American media continues to mope in perpetual sorrow.
Regardless, if the media in the U.S. and Israel had been aware that
their blatant disdain would lead to such a touching moment of bonding
between the two sets of people they seemingly hate the most, perhaps
they would have kept their traps shut in the first place.

TAMPA — At a time when journalists are under fire both literally
and figuratively, Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn’s “joke” this week at a
military conference about pointing twin 50 caliber machine guns at
journalists and watching them “cry like little girls” rankled several
reporters in the room.
Buckhorn’s remarks at the Special Operations Industry Conference
quickly became fodder for the Facebook page of Military Reporters &
Editors, which represents about 300 journalists.

“Personally, I was appalled,” wrote Susan Katz Keating, a
freelance writer and organization board member who was in the
conference room Tuesday for Buckhorn’s keynote address. Katz Keading had
guns pointed at her while covering unrest in Northern Ireland in 1988.
Buckhorn said his critics are being overly sensitive. “I think that
is a silly reaction,” he said of those upset by a story he has told “a
dozen times.”
But some journalists in the room said they weren’t being
thin-skinned. No skin is thick enough to stop a bullet or bomb blast,
something Daily Beast national security reporter Kim Dozier knows all
too well.
In 2006, she was nearly killed in a car bombing that took the life of
the U.S. Army officer her team was filming Capt. James Alex Funkhouser,
along with his Iraqi translator and Dozier’s CBS colleagues Paul
Douglas and James Brolan.
“As someone who had been under fire once or twice, and lost two
colleagues to a car bomb in Iraq that nearly killed me, I didn’t
appreciate the remarks,” said Dozier, who wrote a book about her
experiences and efforts to recover. “The mayor probably didn’t realize
how many of the reporters in the room had risked their lives to bring
Americans the story of U.S. troops in the field, including
veterans-turned-journalists with prior special ops service.”
At the conference, Buckhorn told a crowd of more than 1,000 commando
and defense industry leaders about his experience as a “hostage” during a
demonstration of special ops rescue tactics. The highlight, he said,
was when he was aboard a Navy special warfare boat, firing blanks from
50-caliber machine guns.
“And so the first place I point that gun is at the media,” he told
the crowd. “I’ve never seen grown men cry like little girls, for when
that gun goes off those media folks just hit the deck like no one’s
business. It’s great payback. I love it.”
No one actually ducked or cried as he was firing the blanks. And
Buckhorn, whose father was a wire service reporter, enjoys an unusually
positive relationship with the local press.

The latest ISIS-inspired bombing has claimed the lives of 22 innocents
in Manchester, U.K. Most of the victims were little girls, teenagers,
young women and their parents attending a concert.
This morning, a Grassfire staff member wondered aloud, "What kind of
evil targets little girls?" Moments later, we looked to the TV screen as
FOX News displayed a photo of one of the first victims to be publicly identified. She was only eight years old.
How
much longer is the world going to put up with this barbarism, brutality
and bloodshed? The list of ISIS crimes grows longer and longer.
Social-media posts and hash tags aren't stopping the terrorists. So, who
will?
Grassfire believes that it's time for the United States Congress to formally declare war on the Islamic State.
As Americans, we may feel insulated from ISIS. None of our cities have
been forced to endure the kinds of bomb attacks that ISIS has launched
against "western" targets, like Paris, Belgium, London and now
Manchester. But make no mistake. If it happened there, it can happen
here. When good men and women do nothing, evil will continue to triumph.

When
does it end? Right now, the world has no idea. But the beginning of the
end could come when America officially declares war against ISIS and
leads the nations of the world against the heinous terror group.
