Nevada Early Voting 2012 final results..!

Most Republican voters are senior voters and traditionally vote on Vote day (Nov 6)...Independents/others usually break for the challenger...and as the below counts show, Mitt Romney is the leader in all counties with the exception of Clark County (LasVegas) and that is close...I will venture to say Mitt Romney will take Nevada regardless of what the Media Pundits speculate..:)

Obama’s Benghazi investigator tied to Libya bombing

by Aaron Klein

thomaspickering
JERUSALEM – The Obama administration’s lead investigator into the Benghazi attack, former Ambassador Thomas Pickering, previously held clandestine meetings with Hamas aimed at opening U.S. dialogue with the terrorist group, according to informed Middle Eastern security officials.
Sources within Hamas previously disclosed to WND the June 2009 meeting. The gathering allegedly took place in Geneva with two Hamas leaders, Bassem Naim and Mahmoud al-Zahar. Naim is Hamas’ health minister, while al-Zahar is one of the main Hamas leaders in Gaza.
Pickering is further tied to the revolutions in the Middle East and North Africa through his role as a member of the small board of the International Crisis Group, or ICG, one of the main proponents of the international “Responsibility to Protect” doctrine.

The doctrine is the very military protocol used to justify the NATO bombing campaign that brought down Moammar Ghadafi’s regime in Libya.
Gareth Evans, president emeritus of the ICG, is the founder and co-author of the doctrine.
Billionaire activist George Soros is on the ICG’s executive board. Soros’ Open Society Institute is also one of only three nongovernmental funders of the Global Centre for the Responsibility to Protect, the group that devised the doctrine.
The ICG itself has long petitioned for talks with Hamas as well as normalized relations with the Muslim Brotherhood, for years urging the Egyptian government to allow the Brotherhood to establish an Islamist political party, as WND previously reported.
The crisis group has petitioned for the Algerian government to cease “excessive” military activities against al-Qaida-linked groups and to allow organizations seeking to create an Islamic state to participate in the Algerian government.
Get Aaron Klein’s “Fool Me Twice,” the New York Times bestseller called the most important book of the election season

Pickering’s meeting with Hamas in 2009 served as an “important step” to open eventual dialogue between the Islamic group and the Obama administration, Hamas’ chief political adviser in Gaza, Ahmed Yousef, told WND that year.
At the time, the State Department told the Jerusalem Post the meeting between Pickering and Hamas was not sanctioned by the White House and that official U.S. policy regarding the group remained unchanged: Hamas first must recognize Israel, renounce violence and abide by previous Israeli-Palestinian agreements as a precondition for dialogue with the U.S.
State Department spokesman Ian Kelly stressed Pickering acted as a private citizen. Kelly said he was unaware of any prior U.S. governmental coordination with the former diplomat about the meeting with Hamas.

Pickering is not the only member of the ICG that was accused of serving as a conduit between the Obama administration and Hamas.
Another ICG member is Robert Malley, a former adviser to Obama during the 2008 presidential campaign. He resigned after it was exposed he had communicated with Hamas. WND reported Malley long had petitioned for dialogue with Hamas.
Other ICG board members include Zbigniew Brzezinski, who was national security adviser to Jimmy Carter; and Samuel Berger, who was Bill Clinton’s national security adviser.

Military doctrine used to bomb Libya
The ICG is one of the main proponents of the Responsibility to Protect doctrine, championing the doctrine in its official mission statement.
Doctrine founder Evans is the ICG’s president emeritus.
President Obama’s national security adviser, Samantha Power, helped to found Responsibility to Protect, which was also devised by several controversial characters, including Palestinian legislator Hanan Ashrawi, a staunch denier of the Holocaust who long served as the deputy of late Palestinian Liberation Organization leader Yasser Arafat.
Powers, last April, was named the head of the new White House Atrocities Prevention Board.
Responsibility to Protect, or Responsibility to Act, as cited by Obama, is a set of principles, now backed by the United Nations, based on the idea that sovereignty is not a privilege but a responsibility that can be revoked if a country is accused of “war crimes,” “genocide,” “crimes against humanity” or “ethnic cleansing.”
The term “war crimes” has at times been indiscriminately used by various U.N.-backed international bodies, including the International Criminal Court, or ICC, which applied it to Israeli anti-terror operations in the Gaza Strip. There has been fear the ICC could be used to prosecute U.S. troops.
The Carr Center for Human Rights Policy, founded by Power, had a seat on the advisory board of the 2001 commission that original founded Responsibility to Protect.

The commission is called the International Commission on Intervention and State Sovereignty. It invented the term “responsibility to protect” while defining its guidelines.
The Carr Center is a research center concerned with human rights located at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
Power was Carr’s founding executive director and headed the institute at the time it advised in the founding of Responsibility to Protect.
With Power’s center on the advisory board, the International Commission on Intervention and State Sovereignty first defined the Responsibility to Protect doctrine.

Soros funded
The Global Centre for Responsibility to Protect is the world’s leading champion of the military doctrine.
Soros’ Open Society Institute is a primary funder and key proponent of the Global Centre for Responsibility to Protect.
Several of the doctrine’s main founders sit on boards with Soros.
The committee that devised the Responsibility to Protect doctrine included Arab League Secretary General Amre Moussa as well as Palestinian legislator Ashrawi.
Two of the global group’s advisory board members, Ramesh Thakur and Gareth Evans, are the original founders of the doctrine, with the duo even coining the term “responsibility to protect.”
Thakur and Evans sit on multiple boards with Soros.
The Open Society is one of only three nongovernmental funders of the Global Centre for the Responsibility to Protect. Government sponsors include Australia, Belgium, Canada, the Netherlands, Norway, Rwanda and the U.K.
Board members of the group include former U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan, former Ireland President Mary Robinson and South African activist Desmond Tutu. Robinson and Tutu have made solidarity visits to the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip as members of a group called The Elders, which includes former President Jimmy Carter.
Annan once famously stated: “State sovereignty, in its most basic sense, is being redefined – not least by the forces of globalization and international co-operation. States are … instruments at the service of their peoples and not vice versa.”

Right to ‘penetrate nation-states’ borders’
Soros himself outlined the fundamentals of Responsibility to Protect in a 2004 Foreign Policy magazine article titled “The People’s Sovereignty: How a New Twist on an Old Idea Can Protect the World’s Most Vulnerable Populations.”
In the article, Soros said “true sovereignty belongs to the people, who in turn delegate it to their governments.”
“If governments abuse the authority entrusted to them and citizens have no opportunity to correct such abuses, outside interference is justified,” Soros wrote. “By specifying that sovereignty is based on the people, the international community can penetrate nation-states’ borders to protect the rights of citizens.
“In particular, the principle of the people’s sovereignty can help solve two modern challenges: the obstacles to delivering aid effectively to sovereign states, and the obstacles to global collective action dealing with states experiencing internal conflict.”

More Soros ties
“Responsibility” founders Evans and Thakur served as co-chairmen, with Gregorian on the advisory board of the International Commission on Intervention and State Sovereignty, which invented the term “responsibility to protect.”
In his capacity as co-chairman, Evans also played a pivotal role in initiating the fundamental shift from sovereignty as a right to “sovereignty as responsibility.”
Evans presented Responsibility to Protect at the July 23, 2009, United Nations General Assembly, which was convened to consider the principle.
Thakur is a fellow at the Centre for International Governance Innovation, which is in partnership with an economic institute founded by Soros.
Soros is on the executive board of the International Crisis Group, a “crisis management organization” for which Evans serves as president-emeritus.

‘One World Order’
Doctrine founder Thakur has advocated a “global rebalancing” and “international redistribution” to create a “New World Order.”
In a piece in March 2011 in the Ottawa Citizen newspaper, “Toward a new world order,” Thakur wrote, “Westerners must change lifestyles and support international redistribution.”
He was referring to a United Nations-brokered international climate treaty in which he argued, “Developing countries must reorient growth in cleaner and greener directions.”
In the opinion piece, Thakur then discussed recent military engagements and how the financial crisis has impacted the U.S.
“The West’s bullying approach to developing nations won’t work anymore – global power is shifting to Asia,” he wrote.
“A much-needed global moral rebalancing is in train,” he added.
Thakur continued: “Westerners have lost their previous capacity to set standards and rules of behaviour for the world. Unless they recognize this reality, there is little prospect of making significant progress in deadlocked international negotiations.”
Thakur contended “the demonstration of the limits to U.S. and NATO power in Iraq and Afghanistan has left many less fearful of ‘superior’ western power.”

'Obama is telling kids, f--- your parents'

by Drew Zahn

121102dansavage
A newly compiled video exposes the chief “anti-bullying” activist endorsed by the Obama administration spewing an obscenity-laced, startling message to “gay” kids in America.
The White House website, under its “Civil Rights” section, includes links and videos recorded by Barack Obama, Joe Biden and others, supporting the mission of “gay” activist Dan Savage’s It Gets Better Project, an effort to help homosexual teens survive bullying during their teenage years.
But a recent video produced by the Faith Family Freedom Fund reveals Savage has touted the White House’s support as proof the president is backing his shocking message:

“That meant,” Savage says of Obama’s participation in his It Gets Better Project, “the president of the United States was telling queer kids, ‘There’s something wrong with your parents, there’s something wrong with your preachers, there’s something wrong with your teachers, and f— those people!’”
The video reveals Savage further blasting those who believe in Jesus as “spiritually abused,” wishing Republicans would die and referring to politically conservative Christians as “pieces of s—.”
The Faith Family Freedom Fund, which is a super PAC associated with the Family Research Council, or FRC, seeks to hold Obama accountable for its endorsement of Savage’s project.
“President Obama and his administration have opened the door for Dan Savage to students across America under the guise of ‘anti-bullying,’” J.P. Duffy, the FRC’s vice president for communications, told WND. “In reality, President Obama has created a bully czar through his support of Dan Savage.”

Savage’s history as an X-rated sex advice columnist and controversial public school assembly speaker has been well documented, including an incident from earlier this year, when Savage told a group of high school journalism students, “We can learn to ignore the bulls— in the Bible about gay people,” then taunted the teens who stood and walked out of his rant, calling them “pansy a–es” as they left.
But the Faith Family Freedom Fund video also reveals that Savage’s venom toward the Bible, Christians, Republicans and even liberals who don’t vote Democrat runs far deeper. Savage sound bites from the video include the following:
  • “Right-wing, bast—, fundamentalist, conservative, evangelical Christian pieces of s—”
  • “They have the Bibble [sic.]; they don’t have logic.”
  • “I wish [Republicans] we all f—ing dead”
  • “Any progressive who votes for a Green [Party candidate], anymore … is a f—ing idiot and should be beaten with sticks.”
The video itself can be seen below:
(Editor’s warning: Though the obscenities in the video have been bleeped out, viewers should be aware Savage’s comments include strong language.)

http://youtu.be/v45SU9TnBxM

In the past, Savage has had sharp words for the FRC, too, and for its president, Tony Perkins.
“Every dead gay kid’s a victory for the Family Research Council,” Savage said, as WND reported. “They argue the gay lifestyle is sick and sinful and dangerous and point to suicides … [then they] do everything in their power to make sure that suicide rate does not come down.
“Tony Perkins sits on a pile of dead gay kids every day when he goes to work,” Savage charged.
The FRC video concludes with the statement: “Parents bullied, churches bullied, science bullied – bullied by Obama’s bully. It’s gotta stop. … On November 6, stop the bullying; stop Obama.”

Do FEMA-Lovers Want the Feds to Make Local Rebuilding Decisions?

by

AP reports that NJ residents have to make some tough choices about parts of their historic shoreline. This story caught my eye because I’d been hearing radio reports ad nauseum about how Mitt Romney was planning on doing away with FEMA, reports that were all false.  The story of rebuilding NJ directly addresses the issue of whether or not FEMA is an unambiguously good idea:
 “In its tear of destruction, the megastorm Sandy left parts of New Jersey’s beloved shore in tatters, sweeping away beaches, homes, boardwalks and amusement parks. The devastation left the state a blank canvas to redevelop its prized vacation towns. But environmentalists and shoreline planners urged the state to think about how — and if — to redevelop the shoreline as it faces an even greater threat of extreme weather.”
 The story is marred by an acceptance of global climate change caused by planetary warming bringing about rising sea levels. But pushing that superstition aside, there are multi-generational weather shifts both in temperature and in the frequency of storms in various locations. It may well be that we will see more hurricanes at the Eastern seaboard.

So how do residents and local governments and local development companies decide what to create on the “blank canvas to redevelop its prized vacation towns”?
This is where FEMA is a mixed blessing. Obviously, FEMA can pose like a super kind of insurance. Taxpayers pay in and then, when accidents happen, the victim gets funds to use to rebuild. Except that if you build in a flood plain, you normally won’t get insurance. And the money you pay into the system is pegged to how likely it is that you will need it.

Do we want FEMA telling states and local areas where they can and cannot build? But there are only two alternatives: one must either prohibit people from building in certain areas or else encourage them to do so by paying for the damages they suffer from forces that were foreseeable.

You can only really insure things that are truly random. This is why it took the government to invent FDIC insurance. In the unconstrained world of market and freedom, insurance would mean that the careful and cautious banks subsidized the more risky and speculative banks. Everyone would pay a premium but those who were most likely to need the insurance to bail them out would usually be the ones that looked for higher yields in areas where they could also fail more easily.
To put it another way, there are two means by which you can deal with disasters: take time to avoid them, or figure out a plan to provide for recovering from them. Pushing resources to the recovery means, reduces the incentive to use the other means: avoidance. In other words: it encourages recklessness. The only way to then deter the reckless behavior is to manage all their decisions.
There are actually many other problems with FEMA as it currently exists, but this is the fundamental economic problem. If people know they have access to other peoples’ money when a disaster strikes, they have less reason to avoid disaster. They will have less reason to worry about the risks and more reason to rebuild in unwise or unsafe locations.

NJ Turns Away Non-Union Utility Workers from Alabama

OpEd: Jack
So what has Chris Christie have to say about this? Are these his orders?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
by
Update 11:00 AM: New reports are surfacing that Huntsville Utilities has denied being turned away, yet Decatur Utilities has been unavailable to comment.
New York and New Jersey have been hardest hit by Hurricane Sandy. Some people might not get electricity for another week or more. There aren’t enough utility workers to make the repairs. Utility workers from other states are donating their services to help.
Alabama Power Co. and electric cooperatives in Alabama have sent more than 1,000 workers to help in states damaged by Sandy.
Alabama Power reports that it already has 441 personnel in Atlantic City, and it has 80 others headed to New Jersey, West Virginia and Maryland. In addition, it has released 372 contract workers to help other utilities in the Mid-Atlantic states.
The Alabama Rural Electric Association says 16 cooperatives have sent 141 crew members to help restore power in Virginia and Maryland.
Now there are several stories that say the utility workers from Alabama were turned away from New Jersey because they did not belong to a union.
This is not an isolated story. Reports are coming in from other places where utility workers from non-union right-to-work states are being told to “stand down” because they don’t have union credentials.
“The crews that are in Roanoke, Virginia say they are just watching and waiting even though they originally received a call asking for help from Seaside Heights, New Jersey.”
Some crews have “already headed back home.”
Electric repair work for public utilities in New Jersey is dominated by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, a unit of the politically powerful AFL-CIO.
I wonder if the people in New Jersey are aware of this story. I bet they don’t care anything about a utility worker being unionized. All they want is their electricity back on.
By the way, the AFL-CIO, and unions in general, will be supporting Obama and the Democrats on Nov. 6. Vote accordingly.
Benghazi blunder: Obama unworthy commander-in-chief
by: LV Review-Journal
U.S. Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens and three other Americans died in a well-planned military assault on their diplomatic mission in Benghazi seven weeks ago, the anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. So why are details surfacing, piecemeal, only now?
The Obama administration sat by doing nothing for seven hours that night, ignoring calls to dispatch help from our bases in Italy, less than two hours away. It has spent the past seven weeks stretching the story out, engaging in misdirection and deception involving supposed indigenous outrage over an obscure anti-Muslim video, confident that with the aid of a docile press corps this infamous climax to four years of misguided foreign policy can be swept under the rug, at least until after Tuesday's election.
Charles Woods, father of former Navy SEAL and Henderson resident Tyrone Woods, 41, says his son died slumped over his machine gun after he and fellow ex-SEAL Glen Doherty - not the two locals who were the only bodyguards Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and the Obama administration would authorize - held off the enemy for seven hours.
The Obama administration was warned. They received an embassy cable June 25 expressing concern over rising Islamic extremism in Benghazi, noting the black flag of al-Qaida "has been spotted several times flying over government buildings and training facilities." The Obama administration removed a well-armed, 16-member security detail from Libya in August, The Wall Street Journal reported last month, replacing it with a couple of locals. Mr. Stevens sent a cable Aug. 2 requesting 11 additional body guards, noting "Host nation security support is lacking and cannot be depended on," reports Peter Ferrara at Forbes.com. But these requests were denied, officials testified before the House Oversight Committee earlier this month.
Based on documents released by the committee, on the day of the attack the Pentagon dispatched a drone with a video camera so everyone in Washington could see what was happening in real time. The drone documented no crowds protesting any video. But around 4 p.m. Washington received an email from the Benghazi mission saying it was under a military-style attack. The White House, the Pentagon, the State Department and the CIA were able to watch the live video feed. An email sent later that day reported "Ansar al-Sharia claims responsibility for Benghazi attack."
Not only did the White House do nothing, there are now reports that a counterterrorism team ready to launch a rescue mission was ordered to stand down.
The official explanation for the inadequate security? This administration didn't want to "offend the sensibilities" of the new radical Islamic regime which American and British arms had so recently helped install in Libya.
The official explanation for why Obama administration officials watched the attack unfold for seven hours, refusing repeated requests to send the air support and relief forces that sat less than two hours away in Italy? Silence.
An open discussion of these issues, of course, would lead to difficult questions about the wisdom of underwriting and celebrating the so-called Arab Spring revolts in the first place. While the removal of tyrants can be laudable, the results show a disturbing pattern of merely installing new tyrannies - theocracies of medieval mullahs who immediately start savaging the rights of women (including the basic right to education) and who are openly hostile to American interests.
When Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney promptly criticized the security failures in Benghazi, the White House and its lapdog media jumped all over him for another "gaffe," for speaking out too promptly and too strongly. Prompt and strong action from the White House on Sept. 11 might have saved American lives, as well as America's reputation as a nation not to be messed with. Weakness and dithering and flying to Las Vegas the next day for celebrity fund-raising parties are somehow better?
This administration is an embarrassment on foreign policy and incompetent at best on the economy - though a more careful analysis shows what can only be a perverse and willful attempt to destroy our prosperity. Back in January 2008, Barack Obama told the editorial board of the San Francisco Chronicle that under his cap-and-trade plan, "If somebody wants to build a coal-fired power plant, they can. It's just that it will bankrupt them." He added, "Under my plan ... electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket." It was also in 2008 that Mr. Obama's future Energy Secretary, Steven Chu, famously said it would be necessary to "figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe" - $9 a gallon.
Yet the president now claims he's in favor of oil development and pipelines, taking credit for increased oil production on private lands where he's powerless to block it, after he halted the Keystone XL Pipeline and oversaw a 50 percent reduction in oil leases on public lands.
These behaviors go far beyond "spin." They amount to a pack of lies. To return to office a narcissistic amateur who seeks to ride this nation's economy and international esteem to oblivion, like Slim Pickens riding the nuclear bomb to its target at the end of the movie "Dr. Strangelove," would be disastrous.
Candidate Obama said if he couldn't fix the economy in four years, his would be a one-term presidency.
Mitt Romney is moral, capable and responsible man. Just this once, it's time to hold Barack Obama to his word. Maybe we can all do something about that, come Tuesday.
Allen West Slams Obama Over US Embassy Attacks
by:Clash Daily
From Congressman Allen West- Less than 24 hours after our nation remembered the heinous attacks of September 11, 2001, Americans find their sovereign soil attacked again as more American lives are lost at the hands of intolerant, barbaric, radical Muslims.
United States Ambassador to Libya, Christopher Stevens, and several embassy staff were murdered late yesterday when suspected religious extremists stormed the United States Consulate in Benghazi. This morning, my condolences and prayers go out to the families of the victims.Americans need to question whether the deaths of these innocent patriots could have been avoided. The Obama Administration touted the Arab Spring as an awakening of freedom, which we now see is a nightmare of Islamism.Even more concerning, is the initial response to these attacks last night from the embassy officials of the Obama Administration was to apologize for a Facebook video that supposedly hurt Muslim feelings. President Obama’s policy of appeasement towards the Islamic world has manifested itself into a specter of unconscionable hatred.How anyone can believe this President is strong on national security and foreign policy is beyond my comprehension. President Obama has clearly surpassed former President Jimmy Carter and his actions during the Iranian Embassy crisis as the weakest and most ineffective person to ever occupy the White House.
Benghazi and the Future? Help Denied.
by: Gen. Jerry Curry
In combat, when a commander discovers that some of his people are in trouble and about to be killed, he cobbles whatever forces he has together and launches a military effort to save them. He doesn’t wait for orders from the White House, the Pentagon or the State Department. Been there, done that. He doesn’t CYA by claiming that the “situational awareness” doesn’t provide him with a complete enough picture of what’s going on to enable him to act.
And he doesn’t study the problem ad infinitum trying to learn what all of the ramifications are. Rather, at every level, real combat commanders immediately go to the sound of the guns, assess the tactical situation at the point of military contact with the enemy, and then do whatever it takes to destroy the enemy and rescue his forces.
Everyone knew that the anniversary of 9-11 was coming up, so all of the US Forces in the middle-east should have been placed on alert. They should have planned for the worst, rehearsed their plans ad nauseum, and put their reaction forces on high alert.
The decision of the Obama Administration to deny our Ambassador and his team and staff’s urgent requests for help during the Benghazi attack on the US Embassy tells our allies, including Israel, that they too can expect to be denied American aid and military assistance if they are facing a life and death crisis.
It is not a question of the availability of military assets and resources, or whether our intelligence can be relied upon to completely fill in the blanks of the tactical situation. It is a question of whether the Administration has the will necessary to effectively use whatever forces and means are available to defeat the enemy and extract our people from a dangerous situation.
No matter what we do or how violently we throw our allies and Israel under the bus in our futile efforts to “normalize” relations with the Islamic world, we will never succeed. No matter how much we help Islamic countries or come to their aid in times of grave national crisis, we and the rest of the non-Islamic world will always be “Infidels” to them.
Many months ago when the United States first became involved with the so-called “Arab Spring” movement in Egypt, we didn’t have a clue as to what was really happening there and what political group would finally end up in control of the nation. But unlike as in Bengazhi, we got involved anyway and now we know that the extremist Arab Brotherhood is in charge. All our efforts to bring freedom and democracy to the middle-east crashed and burned in the streets of Cairo.
At least twice, in Benghazi, our US operators at the embassy were told to “stand down,” not to help the Ambassador and his team who were under deadly attack. Those operators knew that standing down was the wrong order to follow and so they ignored it and, responding to the Ambassador’s urgent requests for aid, went out and saved American lives, even though they forfeited their own lives in the process. I assume President Obama intends to posthumously award them medals for their heroism?
Through its handling of the Benghazi action the Obama Administration has made it clear that if you’re serving in a military or diplomatic post overseas or in an agency like the CIA, and if your life is threatened or you are at risk of being killed, or if you are about to be captured and are in need of rescue, you can expect no help from the Obama Administration. Therefore, our generals should prepare, on their own, to come to the rescue of the American troops under their command who are risking their lives for our country.
All we can expect from the Obama Administration are CYA actions and statements. That’s why in this instance CIA Director David Petraeus found it necessary to issue a statement saying: “No one at any level in the CIA told anybody not to help those in need.”
In short, Director Petraeus is saying, “Standing down may be the policy of this Administration but it’s not my policy nor the policy of the CIA, at least not as long as I’m Director.
From the heroic actions of the two CIA operatives in Benghazi, who saved American lives by ignoring orders and acting on their own, it is obvious that Petraeus should be setting policy and the Administration should be following his lead.
General Jerry Ralph Curry (Ret.)is a decorated combat veteran, Army Aviator, Paratrooper, Ranger and retired Army Major General. For nearly forty years he has served his country both in the military and as a Presidential political appointee, including for the Carter, Reagan & Bush 41 administrations.
OBAMA ADMIN GOING DARK: IGNORING LIBYA SCANDAL UNTIL AFTER ELECTION
Surrender is not an option
The Obama campaign is stonewalling any and all media questions about Benghazi-gate. The administration has come to the conclusion that Libya is just too damaging to the President's re-election efforts after yesterday it was revealed that the Obama Administration was warned well ahead of time how vulnerable the team in Benghazi was, and how imminent the threat of Al Qaeda attack was.
The Benghazi Drip-Drip-Drip
Jake Tapper
November 1, 2012
As he left his Marine One helicopter Wednesday evening and walked to the residence of the White House, President Obama did not respond to a question shouted out by ABC News's Mary Bruce about when he would begin to provide answers to the numerous questions building up about what exactly what went wrong in Benghazi, Libya, on September 11, 2012.
The president smiled and continued walking...
...running out the clock until Election Day....the White House has punted, saying the Accountability Review Board established by the State Department is investigating the matter and what went wrong. No detailed tick-tock, no information about the president's involvement in decision-making. In addition, they're preparing for a closed-door hearing of the Senate's Select Committee on Intelligence on November 15.
Since the news of the attack broke, Obama and his administration misled the American people time and time again. First they blamed the ridiculous YouTube video, then they blamed the intelligence community and said they didn't know about requests for extra security.
Now we know without a doubt that the administration was notified about the dangers. The administration knew Al Qaeda was operating in the same city and they knew that Ambassador Stevens and the rest of the diplomatic team feared for their lives, and their security security was inadequate. And yet no action was taken.
This evidence shows as never before, how much of a failure Obama has been on national security! We need a change! November 6th is our chance to fix it! We must do everything we can between now and Tuesday to keep our ad running in swing states so that we elect a new commander-in-chief! We can't risk 4 more years of security failures under Obama! Please donate now!
AAACK! Girls getting eyeful in locker room
by Bob Unruh
Evergreen
“Little girls should not be exposed to naked men, period,” says David Hacker, a senior legal counsel for the Alliance Defending Freedom.
And that’s why the public interest law firm is calling on officials at Evergreen State College in Olympia, Wash., to do something to make their campus safe after it was revealed that, because of its controversial “nondiscrimination” policies, the school was allowing a grown man to get naked and change into his swimwear right alongside a girls swim team.
“The idea that the college and the local district attorney will not act to protect young girls is appalling. What Americans are seeing here is the poisoned fruit of so-called ‘nondiscrimination’ laws and policies. Placing this man’s proclivities ahead of protecting little girls is beyond acceptable.”
Nevertheless, a school spokesman told WND the school would make sure “transgendered individuals” would continue to have access to the women’s locker room, and the school would uphold “civil rights” for all.
“I mean, uh, at this point, too, we have established a, um, privacy screens. These measures should offer everyone more privacy,” the school spokesman said.
ADF jumped into action when it discovered the situation by sending the school a letter warning of the possible consequences of failing to act.
Find out how such outrageous and immoral developments are becoming “normal” in America, in David Kupelian’s blockbuster book, “How Evil Works.”
The letter to Matt Newman, recreation director, and Art Costantino, vice president of student affairs, pointed out that the school’s pool and locker rooms are used by swim teams from Capital High School and Olympia High School, as well as children with Evergreen Swim Club and the Aquatics Academy.
“Most of these students are minors, and range from ages 6 to 18,” the letter said. “On several occasions recently, the children saw a naked man in the women’s locker room sauna who was displaying his male genitalia. The children saw him through the sauna’s glass door, which allowed him a plain view of the young girls while they were changing. The children notified their swim coach, who called police.”
The letter explained that the man, identified as Evergreen student Colleen Francis, age 45, “to be the man in the women’s locker room.”
“Sources indicate that Francis believes he is a woman, even though he is biologically a man. According to the police report, despite Francis’s obvious violation of Washington’s indecent exposure statute, Wash. Rev. Code 91.88.010, the local district attorney declined to pursue charges,” the letter said.
“We are aware Evergreen intends to allow Francis to continue to use the women’s locker room pursuant to its nondiscrimination policy,” the letter said.
However, the legal team warns the college that the situation “endangers the young girls who use Evergreen’s locker room and pool.”
“If harm befalls one of these students, Evergreen and its employees may be held liable for damages. Evergreen has an ‘affirmative duty to use ordinary care to keep the premises in a reasonably safe condition.’”
The lawyers said that letting a grown man use the women’s locker room and expose himself “while young girls are changing demonstrates a clear failure to keep Evergreen’s premises in a safe condition.”
“Placing someone in a known danger with deliberate indifference to her personal, physical safety violates her Fourteenth Amendment rights under the United State Constitution,” the letter said.
ADF officials, who had been alerted to the situation by parents concerned for their children’s safety, told the school: “Any reasonable person would view this as dangerous to the young girls involved. The fact that this individual was sitting in plain view of young girls changing into their swimsuits puts you and Evergreen on notice of possible future harm.”
The alliance said the school’s installation of curtains with instructions that girls change behind them “does not solve the problem.”
The police report notes that the person was “sitting with her [sic] legs open with her male genitalia showing.”
A swim coach who made the report said that girls 6 to 18 years of age were present.
ADF noted that the state’s law is clear: “A person is guilty of indecent exposure if he or she intentionally makes any open and obscene exposure of his or her person or the person of another knowing that such conduct is likely to cause reasonable affront or alarm.”
Secret Iran nuclear-bomb plant expanding
by Reza Kahlili
Work surrounding Iran’s latest secret nuclear site continues unabated, new satellite images from DigitalGlobe show. The existence of the site was first revealed by WND on Oct. 8.
The site – Velayat 1 – which is in the province of Isfahan on the outskirts of the small city of Najafabad, was built for research and development and has a capacity of 800 centrifuges for uranium enrichment. It already has successfully tested a neutron detonator and implosion system for a nuclear bomb.
According to the source for that exclusive WND report, research at the site includes design of a nuclear warhead for the Iranian Shahab-3 ballistic missile, which is now almost complete. The source added that there is also a nuclear reactor at the site along with a separation plant as another path to acquire a nuclear bomb.
To avoid suspicion, the site was built below a medicine factory called Abu Reyhan. The facility beneath the factory has three levels, with two underground entrances away from the facility.
This is where the father of Iran’s nuclear program, Mohsen Fakhrizadeh-Mahabadi, assisted by 10 other scientists, is working on Iran’s nuclear bomb program, within the SEPAND project (known by the IAEA as SPND) and under the AMAD (weapons program) to build atomic warheads.
The new images of the above-ground facility show that main buildings have been completed.
This is a new image by DigitalGlobe of the main installation:
This year
The new images also clearly show trees planted around the site, a routine measure by the Islamic regime to hide the facility, according to a specialist on proliferation of atomic weapons who is familiar with Iran’s nuclear program. The trees camouflage barbed wires surrounding the site.
In parts of this vast site, earth has been covered, similar to what took place at the Natanz nuclear facility, a sign of underground building.
Covered surface area
Other images show signs of digging and holes in the skirt of the nearby mountain which could corroborate the information about tunnels and passages underground.
Holes in the hillside
According to a source who has been in the underground facility, military trucks covered with tarps for disguise have transferred equipment with “radiation warning” signs to the facility and that an entrance on the side of the so-called medicine factory leads to the underground facility.
Another entrance to the underground facility, according to the source, is far to the north of the “medicine factory.” Large equipment has been observed being transferred through that entrance, which is almost a third of the actual size of the factory itself.
Entrance 2
Dr. Peter Vincent Pry, executive director of the Task Force on National and Homeland Security, an advisory board to Congress, has experience analyzing imagery of underground facilities from his service at the CIA.
“It is difficult to ascertain the purpose of any underground facility just from imagery,” he cautioned. “We have been studying the Russian deep underground complex at Yamantau Mountain, which is the size of a small city, for years, and it is still a mystery. However, these photos of the facility in Iran have all the earmarks of an elaborate attempt to conceal an underground complex of significant size and strategic purpose by hiding it under a legitimate factory, concealing the original excavations, and elaborate and costly landscaping to screen everything from public view.
“Because an Iranian source of proven reliability claims this is a previously unknown nuclear facility, the allegation should be taken very seriously and regarded as credible,” Fry said. “Iran has a long history of successfully concealing its nuclear weapons program and nuclear facilities. What we know about is probably only the tip of the iceberg. Iran’s nuclear weapons program may well be larger, more sophisticated and more advanced than is generally suspected.”
The site operates under the control of the Revolutionary Guards to expand research and development of nuclear, plutonium and atomic warheads. Its activities include:
  • Enriching uranium to weapons grade.
  • Testing a neutron detonator and implosion system (chemical explosive lens). As a result of research at this facility, a test was done at Iran’s Parchin military site several months ago. After the revelation of the high-explosives experiment activity, Iran started to clean up the site but continues to stonewall on the IAEA’s request to inspect the Parchin site.
  • Designing and building a nuclear warhead to arm Iran’s Shahab-3 ballistic missile.
  • Separating plutonium for a plutonium implosion-type fission bomb. Iran’s heavy-water reactor near the city of Arak is nearing completion and is capable of providing spent fuel that, once processed, could produce plutonium for nuclear bombs. The separation of plutonium from fuel is an easy process requiring dual-use off-the-shelf equipment that Iran has already purchased.
  • The source indicated that Fakhrizadeh-Mahabadi’s atomic warhead project seeks to build three nuclear warheads in its initial phase and that tests of the implosion system and neutron generator have been successful and the design of the nuclear warhead is nearly complete.
Obama campaign accused of illegal war chest stuffing
WND Exculsive
Obamalogo
A complaint is being filed with the Federal Election Commission that alleges the Obama re-election campaign, in headlong pursuit of illegal war chest stuffing, has been accepting donations from foreign entities that are banned by U.S. election law from contributing.
The complaint is addressed to the FEC in Washington and cites the Obama for America campaign as well as treasurer Martin H. Nesbitt. It is signed by Joseph Farah, founder and CEO of WND.com, which has been running a series of stories about the controversy.
It alleges the Obama campaign has been systematically violating the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971 as well as the regulations of the FEC, specifically by “soliciting, processing, accepting and confirming contributions from foreign nationals and non-U.S. citizens” in contravention of federal law.
The complaint explains the law states that it is unlawful for a foreign national to directly or indirectly make a contribution of money or to promise a contribution of money in connection with a federal, state or local election.
It also is illegal for a person to accept or receive such a contribution.
“Notwithstanding the clear legal prohibitions against soliciting and accepting foreign contributions, the Obama campaign has repeatedly and willfully ignored the law in order to amass a vast campaign war chest, primarily of non-disclosed donors,” the complaint states.
“Reports have increasingly noted evidence of the Obama campaign’s unwillingness and continued failure to install the safeguards used by other campaigns, such as the Romney for President campaign, as well as to utilize industry standard protections against illegal contributions.”
According to a story posted just hours earlier, “Osama bin Laden” this week used a Pakistani proxy server to run a grassroots fundraising page titled “Fatwa: Foreign Donations” on Obama’s campaign website that openly seeks foreign donations.
“Bin Laden’s” foreign donors page was not removed by the Obama campaign after a WND report earlier this week exposed how the same “bin Laden” account had successfully donated twice to Obama’s presidential re-election campaign. After the WND report, one of the donations was officially returned while another is listed as pending.
The “bin Laden” foreign donors page was still active even after “bin Laden” sent an email to the Obama campaign yesterday alerting them to “his” page.
The email concerned a campaign competition for supporters who had donated $3 to meet President Obama on Election Night. “Bin Laden” had donated the $3 for the competition and had asked the campaign in the email whether he could bring wanted al-Qaida leader Ayman Al-Zawahiri as a guest. The email also provided a link to “bin Laden’s” grassroots page seeking foreign donations.
“Bin Laden’s” page was set up by WND staff on Tuesday as a test after media reports described the ability of foreigners to donate to the Obama campaign.
The test was also in response to a nonprofit group’s report alleging Obama’s campaign had solicited foreigners for political donations through its social media websites.
The FEC complaint notes that stories about Obama’s acceptance of donations from foreigners arose during the 2008 election cycle, when Newsweek, the Washington Post and ABC News all cited such claims.
In the past few months, the complaint said, “there have been increasing published reports of individuals making contributions to the Obama campaign using foreign names and/or addresses, foreign IP addresses and many other serious breaches of security that would have prevented such contributions. ”
Those reports have been cited in RedState.com, the Washington Examiner and other publications.
Farah explained “to ascertain whether the other published reports were true or exaggerated,” his news staff “planned and executed transactions using clearly bogus names, addresses, and, in particular, a foreign (Pakistani) internet protocol address.”
For example, a $15 donor was Osama bin Laden of 911 Jihaad Way, Abbattabad, Calif. His occupation is deceased terror chief and his employer is al-Qaida.
“The contribution from this source, with this information, to the Obama campaign was accepted and the disposable credit card was charged the amount of $15.00,” the complaint explains. “We then conducted the same transaction with the Romney for President campaign. The attempted contribution was rejected immediately.”
Other donations that should have been rejected then were made to Obama, to make certain the first donation was not an anomalous result.
“Clearly, the Obama campaign is more concerned with fundraising than in abiding by federal law,” the complaint said. “The Obama campaign has made it clear that despite the multiple stories confirming illegal foreign contributions to the campaign, it has no intention of establishing the safeguards necessary to halt the flow of illegal funds into his campaign coffers.”
Said the complaint, “It is well past time for the Federal Election Commission to conduct an audit of the Obama campaign to ascertain, once and for all, the extent of the foreign and illegal funding of the Obama presidential campaign.”
In an attached affidavit, Farah explains that the Obama donation system is set “to accept all credit card contributions, regardless of source or other information.”
“From WND.com’s own investigative and reporting experience in 2008, we established that Palestinians in Gaza successfully donated to the 2008 Obama campaign. Only after our story was published and the illegal contributions reported did the Obama campaign claim to refund the money. WND.com has … been unable to verify that claim by the Obama campaign from 2008,” he explained. “With no safeguards against illegal foreign campaign contributions, and absent a forensic audit of the Obama campaign’s fundraising by a government agency or an independent auditor, there is no way to know the extent of the funds raised illegally by the Obama campaign, including from non-US citizens. ”
He noted the Obama campaign refuses to release its donors under $200, thus there is no way to know the names and addresses of those who give under the required limit for disclosure.
The Nixon Tapes (Watergate) v. the Obama Tapes (Benghazi)
by
History always repeats when people fail to pay attention! (OpEd: Jack)
Many of you are too young to remember the Watergate Hearings. They were on TV all day, every day. The Democrats wanted to rub our faces in the scandal. After President Nixon’s resignation, Vice-President Gerald Ford pardoned the former president. This didn’t sit well with the American people. In the end, we got Jimmy Carter.
The June 1972 break-in at the Democratic National Committee headquarters at the Watergate office complex in Washington, D.C., was covered up by the Nixon administration. The scandal eventually led to the resignation of President Richard Nixon on August 9, 1974. The scandal also resulted in the indictment, trial, conviction, and imprisonment of 43 people, including dozens of Nixon’s top administration officials.
In July 1973, as evidence mounted against the president’s staff about the break-in at the Democratic headquarters, it was revealed that President Nixon had recorded many conversations in his office. Recordings from these tapes implicated the president, revealing he had attempted to cover up the break-in. Before long, and after a lot of legal stonewalling from the Nixon Administration, the Supreme Court ruled that the president had to hand over the tapes to government investigators; he ultimately complied.
Now it seems that there are Obama tapes of the Benghazi attacks. Will they be released, or will Obama and Co. stonewall through the courts to keep them under wraps arguing Executive Privilege, Separation of Powers, and Checks and Balances like Nixon did?
Here’s the latest from Fox News:
Sean Hannity was debating liberal Juan Williams Tuesday on the Benghazi massacre. Hannity revealed this on the audio tapes of Tyrone Woods begging for air support on 9-11, “My sources tell me they’re pretty damning, Juan. They’re begging for help.”
Tyrone Woods was screaming for air support and Barack Obama did nothing.
Then he lied about it.
Hannity later said there are three tapes the Obama administration is holding onto including audio of Tyrone Woods begging for air support.
Will the press in 2012 be as relentless as the press was in 1973 and 1974 when it reported on Watergate, the tapes, and Nixon not making the tapes available?
Will we find portions of the Benghazi tapes erased like the infamous 18½ minute erasure in one of the tapes that some people speculate had recorded incriminating information?
The media have been protecting President Obama for nearly four years. If a Republican President were in office, the media would be in attack mode. So far, President Obama is not worried because his media friends have lost their journalistic fire. Truth no longer matters to them.
Insane MSNBC: Romney’s Charitability Is Offensive
by
While the East coast was being blasted with wind and water from Hurricane Sandy, both President Obama and Mitt Romney suspended their campaigning–Obama to give a press conference and walk around New Jersey to look at the damage, and Romney to donate one of his campaign buses to the cause of delivering goods to the Red Cross, and also to donate his time and manual labor to load those trucks himself.
Because Mitt Romney is not only a public figure, but a Republican public figure trying to unseat a Democratic deity, he is always a suspect; he must undergo intense suspicion and never-ending scrutiny. What the media has been doing is hypothesizing Romney’s intentions in his helping with relief efforts, coming to false conclusions about his intentions, and then attacking the intentions they’re projecting onto him.
MSNBC’s Martin Bashir poses the question to Ana Marie Cox as to whether she finds it “strange” that Romney is helping with relief efforts, and she responds, “I found that sort of fake relief rally, whatever it is, to be pretty offensive, and also wrong-headed.”
So what other alternative does Romney have? He could have decided not to help out and instead continued campaigning. Bashir would have asked the question, “Do you think it strange that Mitt Romney continues to campaign through all of this?” and Cox would have responded, “Yes, I find it to be pretty offensive, and also wrong-headed.”
Of course, Romney could have done absolutely nothing, neither helping nor campaigning. But then the question from Bashir would have been, “Do you think it strange that Romney isn’t helping out with relief efforts?” and Cox would have said, “Yes, I find it to be pretty offensive, and also wrong-headed.”
MSNBC host and Obama-voter Andrea Mitchell also suggested Romney’s volunteerism was phony, questioning why he chose to do so at the same place he canceled a campaign event. Oh, I don’t know, maybe because he was already there, and because it really would be strange if he went out of his way to go to another state before feeling he could safely be charitable without his motives being questioned by pompous hacks who are offering no sort of help at all?
What these media folk fail to acknowledge is that Mitt Romney has done this sort of charitable work his whole life, certainly long before he was ever a political figure. And he’s never done charitable work with fanfare, never made announcements about it. He has goodness in his blood. It’s part of his religion. Mormons are notoriously charitable, or what Ana Marie Cox would call “pretty offensive” and “wrong-headed.”
Can’t a Republican catch a break?
No, of course not. You will recall that in the aftermath of the shooting in January of last year in Tucson, AZ, liberals high and low immediately went to blaming Sarah Palin, and then became enraged when she ignored their calls for her to respond to the shooting…but then she did respond to it, and they became enraged that she dared insert herself into the issue.
As a Republican, you’re damned if you do, damned if you don’t. So you might as well be damned while you’re helping the needy. Good for Mitt Romney for not worrying what the media thinks.
What a difference a few days makes. Supporters like you got behind our latest initiative..!
Mitt Romney
Walt~Battleborne Nevada,
What a difference a few days makes. Supporters like you got behind our latest initiative to expand the electoral map, and take Governor Romney and the Republican team's plan for a real recovery to new states.
Thanks to your support, the Obama campaign and his liberal allies have been forced to play defense and place significant television buys in states they once considered "safe" wins.
Minnesota has now been moved from solid blue to "Lean Dem." And now the Obama campaign is buying ads in Pennsylvania -- they're even sending in Vice President Biden to help prop up their flagging campaign.
With one week to go, and 96% of the vote on the table on Election Day in Pennsylvania, this expansion of the electoral map demonstrates our momentum.
Your fundraising efforts have enabled us to compete with the billion-dollar Obama juggernaut on a level playing field -- helping us shape the landscape for this presidential election.
The Republican team has the resources to expand the map in ways that weren't possible in past cycles -- without reducing any effort in any other target states.
After fully funding the paid media effort, the ground operations, and the voter contact programs, Governor Romney's plan continues to resonate with voters, volunteers, and donors.
Your help is working -- and together, we will win on November 6th.
Please contribute now to help us and the Republican team keep up the momentum.
Thanks,
Rich Beeson
Media Research Center analysis, ABC, CBS, and NBC have failed to cover Benghazi..!
MRC Action Email
From the Desk of:
L. Brent Bozell III, Founder and President
Media Research Center
November 1st, 2012
Dear Patriot,
For the sixth night in a row, ABC World News, CBS Evening News, and NBC Nightly News refused to give one single second of coverage to a Fox News report that the Obama Administration denied help to those attacked and killed by terrorists at the US consulate in Benghazi on September 11.
According to a Media Research Center analysis, ABC, CBS, and NBC have failed to cover this devastating story - not to confirm it, not to knock it down, and never mind do their own investigation. The story broke last Friday, long before Hurricane Sandy swamped the news cycle.
The story broke Tuesday night on CBS Evening News. Since then, according to a Media ResearchCenter analysis, ABC has almost completely refused to report the email evidence, giving it a scant 25 seconds on Good Morning America and 20 seconds on World News yesterday.
Further, neither The Washington Post nor The New York Times has committed a single inch of their newspapers to a news story about this report.
According to Fox News, "sources claim officers at the nearby CIA annex in Benghazi were twice told to stand down when they requested to help those at the consulate.
They later ignored those orders. Fox News was also told that a subsequent request for back-up when the annex came under attack was denied as well.”
In response, I just released the following public statement.
"Every other broadcast news network has produced at least one major story on the release of emails related to the attack in Benghazi that killed our ambassador and three other brave Americans. While not enough, in some cases, it's something. From ABC News, it's nothing.
"The liberal ‘news' media's refusal to cover this story exposes how corrupt they have become.
Four Americans died in Libya in a coordinated terrorist attack on the anniversary of 9/11.
The Obama Administration has been caught in a maze of falsehoods. This reeks of a cover-up. This scandal could and would derail the Obama re-election efforts. ABC, CBS, NBC, The Washington Post, and The New York Times are so vested in the re-election of Barack Obama that they are deliberately spiking this huge story. It's sickening.
How big is this story? Bigger than Watergate. No one was killed in that burglary, and no one covered up the truth about the deaths of four brave Americans.
"Now there are rumblings that one or more of these so-called news networks have emails from the National Security Advisor's office telling a counter-terrorism unit to stand down. If that's true, they must tell the American people what they know, and how long they've known it. And if it isn't true, then the networks need to say so. Their silence is deafening.
"The Obama administration's cover-up of their deceitful response to the Benghazi terrorist attack is without a doubt the biggest political news story of 2012. The American people have a right to know what really happened before they cast their ballots on Election Day.
"If ABC, CBS, NBC, The Washington Post, and The New York Times refuse to ask the tough questions, then they no longer serve any purpose. And if they're sitting on evidence to help Obama win re-election, they're as guilty in this cover-up as is the administration.”
Sincerely,
lbb
L. Brent Bozell III
P.S. Please chip in a tax-deductible contribution of $25 so the MRC can continue to shine a bright light on liberal media bias and demand they tell the truth!
Libyans: Al-Qaida handled 'security' at Tripoli embassy
by Bob Unruh
walid
A secret document that has been obtained by former terrorist turned peace advocate Walid Shoebat suggests the Obama administration apparently approved assigning a member of al-Qaida to handle security at the U.S. Embassy in Tripoli.
According to a report published today by Shoebat, the confirmation comes from a letter dated Aug. 30, 2011, that informs the al-Qaida member that he now has responsibility for security in Tripoli, “to include all international embassies.”
The letter was to Abdel Hakim al-Khowailidi Belhaj and it was signed by Mustafa Muhammad Abdul Jalil on behalf of the National Transitional Council, with which the U.S. was working at the time after Moammar Gadhafi fell from power in Libya.
Belhaj previously has been described by al-Qaida kingpin Ayman al-Zawahiri as “the amir of the mujahideen, the patient and steadfast [Belhaj].”
Shoebat, who was joined by Ben Barrack in the investigation of the document, said the letter was from “a treasure trove of secret documents” that was obtained by a Libyan source.
“It shows that in supporting the removal of Gadhafi, the Obama administration seemed to sign on to an arrangement that left forces loyal to al-Qaida in charge of security at the U.S. embassy in Tripoli from 2011 through at least the spring of 2012,” they wrote.
Shoebat’s translation of the letter reveals it said, “We would like to inform you that you have been commissioned to the duties and responsibilities of the military committee of the city of Tripoli. These include taking all necessary procedures to secure the safety of the Capital and its citizens, its public and private property, and institutions, to include all international embassies. To coordinate with the local community of the city of Tripoli and the security assembly and defense on a national level.”
Shoebat explained that al-Zawahiri’s endorsement of Belhaj came in a 2007 interview that was replayed by ABC.
The report also said that Belhaj had been identified as “a Libyan rebel and a moderate person who commands wide respect,” but Shoebat noted the source of that statement was “a leader with the Libyan Muslim Brotherhood” – Ali Sulaiman Aujali.
Aujali appeared at a convention for the Islamic Society of North America, considered by many to be a front group for the Muslim Brotherhood in America, just a few weeks before vouching for Belhaj, Shoebat reported.
And the Libyan ambassador to the U.S. reported at one point that “[Belhaj] should be accept[ed] for the person that he is today and we should deal with him on that basis.”
The Benghazi controversy has been developing since Sept. 11 when on the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans were killed in an organized terror attack there.
While evidence now reveals that the White House knew almost immediately that terror was suspected, for weeks after officials were blaming the deaths on Muslims being upset over a trailer of an online movie that purportedly criticized Muhammad.
There also now are reports that there were orders for the military to stand down and not respond to the calls for help from Benghazi, and also reports that there was video being streamed back to the U.S. of the attack.
The report from Shoebat said the documents from Libya suggest secularists there increasingly want to see Mitt Romney defeat Obama – despite Muslim Brotherhood losses in Libyan elections last year.
Shoebat is the grandson of the Muslim Mukhtar of Beit Sahour-Bethlehem, who was a friend of the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj-Ameen al-Husseni, who was a friend of Adolf Hitler.
After serving as a member of the Palestinian Liberation Organization and participating in acts of terror against Israel, Shoebat studied the Tanach, the Jewish Bible, in a challenge to convert his wife to Islam.
He reports himself, six month later, he realized “that everything he had been taught about Jews was a lie.”
He said he was convinced he had been on the side of evil, so became an advocate for his former enemy.
Mitt Romney speak up on Benghazi Gate...!
 Your silence is defeatism and will degrade your standing as the potential new CIC if you fail to stand tall and take action!
There are just six days before the election...it is imperative that you speak up and bring the issue to the forefront, MSM will only cover the issue if you as the alternative to Barack Obama brings the issue up!
The evidence to date is overwhelming that a coverup has taken place... in order for the electorate to make a informed decision as to Obama's ability and whether he is trustworthy  to continue as our CIC... all information related to e-mails classified as well as non classified must be released and get out to those who do not view Fox News...as Fox is the only outlet covering the issue.
I gave you my early vote in Nevada...I expect you to act like a CIC and take charge of this important and necessary issue...we cannot afford 4 more years of a failed CIC anymore than we can as a failed fiscal POTUS! The ball is in your court should you choose to take this mission...God speed and speak up NOW!
NBA team suddenly 'not black enough'
by Joe Kovacs
Are the Minnesota Timberwolves "too white" for the NBA?
A racially charged article by the Minneapolis Star Tribune is raising eyebrows this week for suggesting the NBA’s Minnesota Timberwolves team is not black enough.
The story, titled “Timberwolves: Pale in comparison to the rest of the NBA,” was written by Jerry Zgoda and Dennis Brackin, and points out the Wolves have only five black players on a 15-man team, or a 33 percent ratio.
Overall in 2011, the National Basketball Association featured American-born black players making up 78 percent of roster spots.
The paper calls this year’s Minnesota roster “the league’s whitest since the Boston Celtics teams of the 1980s.”
Local black leaders in the Twin Cities have noticed, according to the Star Tribune, “suggesting the franchise strategically has rolled back the calendar by decades in a league that long has been at the forefront of diversity among America’s professional sports leagues.”
“How did we get a roster that resembles the 1955 Lakers?” Tyrone Terrell, chairman of St. Paul’s African-American leadership council, told the paper. “I think everything is a strategy. Nothing happens by happenstance.”
Ron Edwards, a civil-rights advocate in Minneapolis, said he found it “somewhat disturbing” to see only one black player, Wes Johnson, on the floor as he watched a game last winter. He told the paper his sentiments grew stronger as he watched the Timberwolves roster grow even more white this offseason.
“It raises some real questions to me about what’s really intended,” Edwards said. “I think, personally, that it was calculated. Is this an attempt to get fans back in the stands? Minnesota, after all, is a pretty white state.”
He added it was a “nullification of diversity and a reversal of history.”
But David Kahn, president of basketball operations for the Wolves is crying foul, calling the suggestion of pandering to a white fan base “patently false.”
Tuesday night, comedian Conan O’Brien clowned about the team’s predominantly white players on his late-night TBS show, joking that “the owner claims it’s not a ploy to win fans – it’s a ploy to lose games.”
Brandon Roy, a three-time All-Star and Minnesota’s only expected black starter, told the paper he never noticed any racial distinction until a friend mentioned it this summer after he signed as a free agent with the team.
“It’s just basketball,” Roy said. “I never really had to feel like I’m the only black guy out here. I’ve played on teams that maybe had all black guys and the feeling is just the same when I’m out there on the floor playing with these guys.
“The only problem we have is in the weight room, arguing over what music we’re going to listen to.”
The racial makeup of the NBA has changed dramatically over the past half-century. In 1957, 93 percent of its players were white.
The paper notes the number of blacks rose in the 1960s, even though many believed there was an unspoken quota system among league owners that former Celtics great Bill Russell, the NBA’s first black head coach, once described as “you’re allowed to play two blacks at home, three on the road and five when you’re behind.”
The Star Tribune is coming under some heavy fire from its own readers for its article, as many claim it’s racist to suggest the team is either too white.
A reader with a handle of “edweasel” blasted the authors of the news report, saying, “They didn’t have a problem selling tickets when they only had three white guys and made it to the Western Conference finals in ’04. Same owner, same white fans. This isn’t the first time you’ve whined about the number of white guys on the team. Sounds like you’re trying to make a name for yourself by stirring up some controversy, because you definitely aren’t making a name for yourself with the quality of your writing.”
“With all of the talent and interesting story lines that this team has to offer, you choose to write about their race?” said “nexus612.” “Thanks for taking us back about 50 years. Like so many other basketball fans in this state, I cannot wait to see these guys take the floor.”
And David Tengbom said, “The Wolves, for the first time in years, have gone out and acquired excellent players that should help them reach the playoffs. For African-American leaders to play the ‘race’ card is ridiculous and unfortunate!”
Businesss Insider magazine has taken a look at the “white conspiracy” theory, and says there are a few problems.
“First of all, the T-Wolves sold 90.4% of their tickets last year, which ranked 14th in the league,” reports Tony Manfred of Business Insider. “Only two other non-playoff teams ranked in the top 15. And they did it with a majority black roster (8 out of 15 players). So they didn’t have an attendance problem at all.
“In addition, it’s clear that the T-Wolves think there is a market inefficiency when it comes to international players. Five players on their roster are from other countries, which is double the league average (~2.5 in 2011-12). Since international players come from predominantly European countries, developing a team with an international focus is inherently going to shift the racial makeup of your roster.
“It’s not a race conspiracy, it’s a calculated move to identify under-the-radar players that the rest of the league isn’t looking at.”
Sports is not the only venue where “not black enough” has been a theme in recent years.
In 2003, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas, felt that names for hurricanes were too “lily white,” and she sought to have better representation for names reflecting African-Americans and other ethnic groups.
“All racial groups should be represented,” Lee said, according to the Hill. She hoped federal weather officials “would try to be inclusive of African-American names.”
A sampling of popular names that could be used include Keisha, Jamal and Deshawn, according to the paper.
“You know nobody’s very excited when a hurricane’s heading their way, and yet here she is demanding that hurricanes be named after black people,” said radio host Rush Limbaugh at the time.
“You know it used to be that hurricanes were named only after women because they were destructive and unpredictable. And that’s the reason. The feminists grew upset about that, demanded that hurricanes be named after men, and so now, the civil rights leaders are demanding black names for hurricanes.”
Iowa warns international observers of arrest
Iowa has joined Texas in warning international election observers of possible criminal prosecution if they violate state laws and get near polling places on Election Day.
Iowa Secretary of State Matt Schultz — like Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott last week — on Tuesday threatened Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe election observers with arrest if they came within 300 feet of a polling place’s entrance, in violation of state law. (In Texas, it’s 100 feet.)
“My office met with two delegation representatives last week to discuss Iowa’s election process, and it was explained to them that they are not permitted at the polls,” Schultz said in a statement. “Iowa law is very specific about who is permitted at polling places, and there is no exception for members of this group.”
The OSCE — comprised of 56 countries, including the United States — is chiefly a crisis mediation and conflict resolution group in Europe, Asia and North America. Since 2002, the organization’s poll watchers have observed six U.S. elections, without incident, said Janez Lenari, the OSCE’s director for the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights.
In a letter to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Lenari wrote, “The threat of criminal sanctions against OSCE/ODIHR observers is unacceptable. The United States, like all countries in the OSCE, has an obligation to invite ODIHR observers to observe its elections.”
Victoria Nuland, a State Department spokesman, said last week the group assured Texas authorities and the State Department that observers will respect Texas laws.
“To my knowledge, [Texas] is the only state that came forward and said ‘please reassure us that you’re going to follow our state electoral law.’ And they have now been reassured,” Nuland said.
Facebook admits error in censoring anti-Obama message
OpEd: Jack
*sigh* they only admitted they made a mistake and apologized because the were called out nationally and were taking severe heat for their censorship practices which are well documented!
Larry Ward will concede that he “poked the bear.” As president of the D.C.-based Political Media Inc., Ward administers the Facebook page of a group called Special Operations Speaks (SOS), an anti-Obama group consisting of “veterans, legatees, and supporters of the Special Operations communities of all the Armed Forces.” Essentially hard guys who want the president out of office. “These are the toughest sons of a guns out there and they say what they mean,” says Ward.
On Saturday, Ward woke up and realized he needed to post something on SOS’s page. He checked the news, which was still buzzing with Friday’s report by Fox News that a request for military support from besieged U.S. personnel in Benghazi “was denied by the CIA chain of command.” Ward’s takeaway was that it had become “more evident that Obama was responsible for denying the troops backup.”
Time to cook up a meme. Ward settled on a provocative one: “Obama called the SEALs and THEY got bin Laden. When the SEALs called Obama, THEY GOT DENIED.” It worked. Over the next day or so, the thing had racked up 30,000 shares, says Ward, noting that it “was by far the best meme we’d had to date.”
The meme had a touch of the mischievous in it as well. It tagged the picture of President Obama to his Facebook campaign page, a move that officially alerted Team Obama that its guy had been featured in a photo on the SOS page. In other words, it was guaranteed to antagonize the president’s supporters. And that's pretty much what happened, in Ward’s version of events. The next steps came quickly:
*Likely driven by offended Obamaites, Facebook sent Ward a warning about the meme. Take it down, said Facebook. Ward didn’t comply.
*Facebook took down the image, with this explanation, as discussed on a Breitbart.com story on the matter:
We removed content you posted.
We removed the content you posted or were admin of because it violates Facebook’s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities.
*Ward re-posted the image along with Facebook’s rationale for removing it.
*Facebook took the image down again and froze the account for 24 hours, in effect stifling SOS on Facebook.
After all that censorship and bureaucracy, Facebook is now acknowledging that it was a mistake. Here’s the note that Facebook’s Andrew Noyes passed along to the Erik Wemple Blog: “This was an error and we apologize for any inconvenience it may have caused. They can feel free to repost the image.”
What a privilege!
There’s no question about the inconvenience: SOS is a group that’s trying to influence political behavior through open communication, something that Facebook is in business to defend and promote, not to crush. That it did so with just more than a week left before the election poses more of a crisis than an inconvenience for SOS. As Ward notes, SOS “invested a lot” in the Facebook page and spent 12 weeks building the thing.
As for the meme itself, it might draw a snicker or two from journalism’s fact-checking police. After all, the Fox News report alleged that the CIA “chain of command” had denied military assistance for U.S. personnel in Benghazi, not Obama himself. Whatever — the meme was miles inside the bounds of acceptable political expression, not to mention Facebook’s own standards. It’s almost an insult to the meme to examine it vis-a-vis those standards, but here goes anyhow.
Facebook says “You will not bully, intimidate, or harass any user.” SOS merely voiced an opinion.
Facebook says “You will not post content that: is hate speech, threatening, or pornographic; incites violence; or contains nudity or graphic or gratuitous violence.” SOS was fully clothed.
Facebook says “You will not develop or operate a third-party application containing alcohol-related, dating or other mature content (including advertisements) without appropriate age-based restrictions.” SOS was kid-friendly.
Mistakes happen, for sure, yet Facebook made three or four in quick succession, evidence that this wasn’t just a goof. “They warned us once. They censored it twice and then they suspended our account,” says Ward. (Under Facebook terminology, a suspension is more severe than merely freezing the ability of the user to post). The social networking site reportedly has automated systems that police its content, though Ward says he received word that the censorship in this case came from a human being, and he cites this e-mail as proof:
Hello,
A member of our team accidentally removed something you posted on Facebook. This was mistake, and we sincerely apologize for this error. We’ve since restored the content, and you should now be able to see it.
Brevity doesn’t work here, Facebook. An accounting of just why a perfectly reasonable, catchy and inoffensive post, customized for the Internet, triggered a multi-step clampdown requires more than a couple of sentences. Attempts to get a more detailed accounting of the SOS incident from Facebook have failed.
SOS booster and retired U.S. Navy SEAL Larry Bailey puts the situation this way: “It looks like Obama’s liberal followers in Facebook HQ are terrified of how damaging the Benghazi scandal is for the President. We understand that Facebook can run their site however they’d like, but when they’re trying to quietly squelch opposition to what is a clear leadership failure that resulted in the tragic deaths of some of our nation’s heroes, they deserve the to be called out on it,”
