Got's confidence ? I don't think so..nor do I have suicidal tendencies...lol

Confidence is a great trait however sometimes I do believe some people with confidence confuse it with a pure lack of common sense...which is a oxymoron...!

On January 15th, 2014 Alex Honnold made the first-ever free solo ascent of El Sendero Luminoso, a 1500-foot big wall in Monterrey, Mexico, rated 5.12d. This is a raw, slo-mo clip from his climb of pitch 7, 5.12a. Footage shot by Cedar Wright, Renan Ozturk, and SkySight RC.

Was Jay Leno Canned by NBC For Criticizing Obama?

The first mainstream comedian to talk about Benghazi-gate is off the air, despite high ratings
The day after Jay Leno signed off on 22 years of hosting The Tonight Show, suspicions still abound as to why he was canned despite still being on top of the ratings. Could the fact that Leno was the first mainstream comedian to criticize Obama on sensitive issues such as Benghazi-gate have contributed to him being ejected by NBC?
Whereas virtually every late night comic has made superficial sideswipes at Obama in recent years, Leno took the unusual step of taking a conservative talking point, Benghazi-gate, and incorporating it into his Tonight Show monologue on two separate occasions.
The first example occurred back in October 2012, when Leno quipped, “Don’t ask – don’t tell” is back. Not the gays in the military. It’s President Obama’s new policy for questioning about Libya. Don’t ask – don’t tell. That’s the big story. The Republicans are accusing the White House of successfully engineering a massive cover-up of the Libyan attack. But on the plus side, it’s the first time in four years the Republicans have credit to Obama for doing anything successful.”

Obama’s Life Story Continues To Unravel…

In an administration defined by scandal, none have dogged Barack Obama longer or more persistently than the secrecy surrounding his past. While the left tries to discount those who question his life story with insulting pejorative, there has been little legitimate response to the genuine concerns of so-called “birthers.”
In a recent American Thinker report, one specific aspect of Obama’s childhood is explored in detail, resulting in the conclusion that at least one of the president’s biographical timelines is inaccurate.
Citing media reports released over the past 14 years, Jason Kissner highlights a discrepancy that seems to put a young Obama in two very different places at one time. While an Illinois Daily Herald article from 1990 indicates he lived in Asia from the age of 2 until he reached fifth grade, a Los Angeles Times report from the same year suggests he spent just six years in Indonesia before returning to Hawaii in preparation for college.

While those two accounts might suggest Obama reached fifth grade by the age of eight, at which time he promptly began studying for college, a subsequent entry in Hawaii Business adds another wrinkle to his purported past. That report suggests Obama was in Hawaii for at least his kindergarten year in elementary school, which represents a major departure from the timeline advanced in the previous articles.
Furthermore, his education records – along with his mother’s passport – are no longer available for review.
These discrepancies are unfortunately only peripheral considerations in the larger tapestry of Obama’s questionable past. In the same article, Kissner explores Obama’s frequent name changes, focusing specifically on the surname Soebarkah. He suggests the name might have been related to a Muslim cult that encouraged its followers to change their names

Loretta Fuddy, the Hawaiian health official who authenticated Obama’s birth certificate before dying in a plane crash from which all other passengers survived, was a former leader of the Subud cult, he added.
There is no shortage of controversy surrounding Obama’s birth, childhood, and even much of his adult life. The information introduced by Kissner is just one chapter in a long book of questionable autobiographical claims.
Unfortunately, it seems any documents that could unequivocally prove or disprove Obama’s assertions have been forever lost – or destroyed. To a growing number of Americans, that fact makes Obama’s professions appear all the more suspicious.

We know we’re in trouble when an actor knows our president’s place better than he does. But our president doesn’t really seem interested in improving our lives in any truly sustaining or meaningful way… quite the contrary.

The pseudo-commies controlling the Democratic party (and leading along the GOP and half of America) are nothing if not devilishly shrewd. They are using ‘homophobic’ and ‘racist’ accusations/allegations to gain power and control.
Truth is they don’t really care. These same people themselves were the ‘homophobes’ a few years ago (especially when it was politically expedient to be so) before they ‘evolved.’ They have no principles. They will do or say anything to gain power and authority.
These folks are completely untrustworthy. They thrive on chaos and anarchy. Their true plan for America is to create anarchy and poverty to justify making America a big government police/nanny state.

Liberals are some of the most racist, divisive, stereotypical people I’ve ever encountered. They thrive on creating division by perpetuating generalizations. They only see the externals of color and culture and want to keep us in our own mutually exclusive groupings. They are also establishing a form of political correction so precise that we will be reluctant to even speak for fear of unauthorized, governmentally enforced, oral expression restrictions.
They are the ones who ignorantly claim minorities are dependent on governmental assistance, that they are unable to obtain ID to vote, and that they require their numbers controlled via easily accessible abortion/contraception on demand.
They don’t want inclusion, dignity, or self reliance. It’s division, calamity, and anarchy they crave. Screw up society with immorality, violence, and pornography, then when the culture goes to pot, they have further justification to make their play – that a broken society requires a strong government to maintain order and civility.
Examples of their purposefully destructive policies….

*ObamaCare
Who are these young people who are going to pay into the system? Those covered on their parents’ policy til 26 won’t. Those with successful careers covered by their employer won’t. Who’s left? The slackers? Can you spell “rationed care”? Here, let me spell it out for you – D-E-A-T-H…. panels! Kiss grandma and grandpa goodbye!
ACA has been DOA from Day One. It’s nothing but a Single-Payer Set-Up.
*Income Equality
Sounds great, but don’t be fooled. President Obama proposes raising the minimum wage via executive order for workers whose jobs are tied to government contracts. In the meantime, he want to grant amnesty to illegals, which will establish increased competition at a higher pay rate (for those illegals employed by business owners who feel they are over-regulated and overtaxed by this government). All the while, the most wealthy in this country are becoming wealthier as the middle and upper class continues to get pounded by the policies of this administration.
As all this is happening, homosexuals and immigrants are merely being used as ammo to destroy Constitutional conservatives who promote responsible, ethical government and sustainable monetary policy. Ultimately, they will suffer just like everyone else.

If this all continues, we will have a ruling class, and the rest of us will be poor….
But they know how to put their opposition on the defensive; and if you disagree with any alternate form of marriage, you’re a ‘phobe.’ I just don’t see how we could deny polygamy or any other marital arrangement for that matter. Traditional values be damned; the more disorder and confusion, the better….Let’s party!
We are being groomed to become slaves of the state. I don’t know about anyone else, but I’m not playing!

Volkswagen unveiled their plans to bring a 560-hp Beetle racer to the 2014 Global Rallycross stage. The announcement came at this week’s Chicago Auto Show. Powered by the team of Andretti Autosport, Volkswagen will actually enter two of the juiced up bugs in what is becoming one of the largest world racing events.
Volkswagen’s Rallycross Beetle racer will feature a whopping 560-hp pouring out of the little car. Skeptical that the little Beetle can push out that much horsepower? Over the last few years, VW has made a push to supercharge their car that celebrated 75 years in 2013. And last year, popular BBC motor head show TopGear featured the VWVortex ‘Superbeetle’. That sporty version of the popular car boasted an astonishing 500-hp.
Now, Andretti Autosport is bringing the race team of Tanner Foust and Scott Speed (top ten cool racer names) to Volkswagen. The German automobile producer is entering into the field of Global Rallycross for the first time this year and they are doing it with a killer team.
Tanner Foust will drive one of the 560-hp Beetle cars. Foust was the winner of both the 2011 and 2012 Global Rallycross. He comes to the team after driving a Ford Fiesta. He will be behind the wheel of a Rockstar sponsored version. Scott Speed is a former formula one and NASCAR driver who will be behind the wheel of a 7up sponsored punch buggy.

Andretti Autosport (@FollowAndretti)

Volkswagen has had rallycross success in the recent past. Last year they won the World Rally Championship on the back of their Polo chassis, which sported a 600-hp engine. That car will be featured the first half of the GRC season. But the team is hoping the 560-hp Beetle will be ready to go by June. The two cars are scheduled to race the second half of the season.
So why go with the Beetle in a rallycross race? According to Motortrend, VW is hoping to attract young urban millenials with their super charged Beetle’s. Their crowd has typically trended older and they want younger buyers excited about their cars. As the popularity of the rallycross sport grows, this is a calculated move to improve visibility on the car market. Of course getting their hands on anything like what Foust and Speed will be driving is near impossible.
The 560-hp VW Global Rallycross Beetle is sure to turn a few heads this year.

It’s The Constitution, Stupid — Republican Form Of Government

Free US Constitution Day, computer desktop wallpapers, pictures ...
by
As an informed American and patriot, I have lived long enough to recognize and identify the ignored liberties and rights of the American people by our government. Our Founding Fathers were students of common sense and history. They knew from the study of past civilizations the inherent nature of man. That inherent nature has shown that when men have unregulated power and authority over other men, they will always abuse that power.
The genius of our founders was that they identified the root cause of the failure and extinction of past governments. They developed a formula to prevent those failures in the future.
To prevent history from repeating its self, a Constitutional Republic was born. America is a Constitutional republic by design and Constitutional guarantee as stated in Article IV Section 4: “The United States shall guarantee to every state in this union a republican form of government.”
A Constitutional republic guarantees officials are democratically elected as representatives of the people and that they must govern according to existing Constitutional law. These laws limit government’s power over the people.
The creation of our Constitutional republic was not a fluke. Our Founding Fathers knew that a pure democracy was akin to the monarchy from which the people had fought and died to free themselves.
Our Founders believed that democracy in its pure form is a government system of mob rule where 51 percent of the population will dictate the fate and the rights of the other 49 percent.

Knowing this, our Founders chose a democratic representative system of government also known as a “republican form,” a system of government that governs the people by Constitutional law and not the tyranny of mob rule that many forms of democracy offered. Australia and the United Kingdom have a democratic system of government that allows the citizens to elect officials to represent them but not necessarily represent their wishes.
In the United States the people elect their representatives, who must abide by Constitutional law and the limitations it places on governments control over the people.
All governments — Federal, State, county and city — are created by the authority of the American people. As such, they belong to the people and are to be obedient slaves not only to every word in the Constitution, but the intent and spirit of its creators.
Let’s be very clear on this point: As a Constitutional republic, no government or its representatives at any level can create a law or rule that exceeds the authority given to that branch of government by the Constitution.
Equally important, the same Constitutional standards apply when laws or rules are created that may restrict, impede or deny any citizen the rights Constitutionally guaranteed by our Bill of Rights.
For the first time in history, a blueprint for freedom was created in the form of a Constitution. As recipients of these protected freedoms, all we the people had to do was to be vigilant and actively participate in the republican process.
This would insure the safety of these freedoms, for all future generations to come.

In 1787, our Founding Fathers gave us the greatest gift mortal man could give their fellow man, the gift of freedom guaranteed by a written Constitution and a Bill of Rights.
Thomas Jefferson observed that the natural progress of things is for liberty to yield and government to gain ground. I believe a great example of that would be the Supreme Court’s claiming an authority and power to interpret the people’s Constitution.
In 1803, just 16 years after the creation of our Constitution, the Supreme Court, in my opinion, used the court case Marbury vs. Madison as an instrument to claim the Constitutional authority to interpret our Constitution.
I believe it is important to note: Nowhere in our constitution is the Supreme Court given authority to interpret our Constitution.
In fact, it was no accident these powers were not put in the hands of nine unelected attorneys who would make up the Supreme Court. The major reason was the people’s justified contempt, mistrust and hatred of attorneys, judges and politicians.
History shows clearly the people of America did not ask our Founders to protect us from government’s attorneys, judges and politicians. Instead they demanded protection through our Constitution’s Bill of Rights and the Constitutional protections of a trial by jury.
There is a reason our Founding Fathers did not clearly announce the authority of our Supreme Court to interpret our Constitution in Article III of our Constitution.
Common sense dictates that he who controls the interpretation of America’s Constitution controls the law of the land and, therefore, controls the United States and its people.

Our Founders and the framers of our Constitution were extraordinary men. These men had a vision for the future of this place called America and its people.
Just as important was their knowledge of history and the failures and success of past societies and their governments.
These men were driven in their quest to prevent anything like the king and his Star Chamber courts from ever existing in America. Thus, their mistrust and outright hatred of judges, attorneys and government officials was known far and wide.
They also shared Montesquieu’s theory of the three branches of government: legislative, executive and judicial. They knew and understood that anyone given the duties of one of these offices shall not perform the duties of the other.
They realized when any one person or group of people possessed all three powers freedom would be lost and tyranny would reign supreme.
These extraordinary men, armed with the above knowledge and experience, fought for more than 10 years to create a Constitution and a country that was the envy of the rest of the world. To believe they would then turn it all over to nine unelected government attorneys is taking stupid to a new level.
You only have to look at the Supreme Court’s decision on Obamacare to understand why our Founders did not give the Supreme Court the authority to interpret our Constitution.
The people of the United States have lost nearly all Constitutional protections, taken for granted for the past 238 years. These protections were removed slowly, one by one, leaving our once-great Nation a “Nation of ignorant sheep.” People forgot true freedom long ago, just like Jefferson predicted they would.

Will our freedoms ever return? Will government officials return to serving the people instead of ruling over them? It is doubtful, but not impossible.
The coming day when citizens of this country are unable to go to the grocery store and fill their carts will be the day we all find out what changes are to take place. I can make the educated guess that none of us will ever live in a true Constitutional republic again.
The fault for this tragedy will lie at the feet of the stupid.

How To Stop More Republican Betrayals

How To Stop More Republican Betrayals

Thanks to yet another “bipartisan compromise” in Washington, we taxpayers have had it socked to us again. This time, it’s a new farm bill that’s made everyone so happy — except for us taxpayers, who will have to pay for the danged thing. Congress hadn’t managed to pass a comprehensive farm bill since 2008, so the fact that this one finally got approved is supposed to be greeted with hosannas.
The bill is 959 pages long and calls for spending nearly a trillion dollars over the next 10 years. The $956.4 billion in expenditures works out to nearly $1 billion for each page. That’s not as bad as the Affordable Care Act (the monstrosity that created Obamacare), but I think you’ll agree it’s a pretty hefty sum.
The measure passed the House of Representatives last week on a vote of 251-166, which meant it had substantial Republican support. The same thing happened in the Senate this week, where it was approved this past Monday on a vote of 68-32.
The biggest single expenditure, by far, is the food stamp program, which has more than doubled since Barack Obama took office five years ago. The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, to give its official name, now feeds one out of every seven Americans. The cost comes to $80 billion a year.

Yet we’re somehow supposed to be grateful that Congress agreed to trim 1 percent from that total bill, or a measly $8 billion? Thanks a bunch, Congress.
Even more idiotic than the farm bill that just got passed, Republicans are now talking about agreeing on a compromise immigration bill. This would be a mistake of colossal proportions. I can’t imagine their being so stupid and self-destructive. But then again, after watching the so-called Republican “leadership” for many years: Yes, I can.
First of all, there is nothing that Republicans could do — not even agreeing to some sort of amnesty program, as they did under Ronald Reagan — that will enable them to win a significant number of Hispanic votes. It just ain’t gonna happen.
Second of all, no matter what new legislation says about protecting our borders, does anyone really believe that Barack Obama will enforce it? The President has shown an utter disdain for his Constitutional mandate to enforce many existing laws. Now we’re going to count on him to do something that would upset a significant number of his supporters? No way, José.
And here’s one other major concern. No matter what sort of bill the Republican majority in the House of Representatives passes, you can bet that a far different and more destructive one will come out of the Senate. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) will make sure of that. Guess which side is likely to win most of the battles when the two sides sit down to hammer out the final legislation?
The smartest thing Republicans could do this year regarding a new immigration bill is… nothing. Let the Democrats issue all of the threats and make all of the promises they want. Republicans should simply sit down, shut up and refuse to bring any immigration legislation to a vote. This is definitely one case where doing nothing is a whole heck of a lot better than any “compromise” legislation they could approve.

The best thing the Republicans could do is not even start down this path. Let the Democrats rant and rave and bluff and bluster. Let’s put this one off until next year — when hopefully a Republican will take the reins as Senate Majority Leader. What a difference that would make!
But maybe not, if it’s the current Minority Leader, Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.). What a squishy-soft compromiser he is. If conservatives want tough, determined, uncompromising leadership in the Senate, McConnell is not the man.
The best way to replace him is not by waiting until next year, but by getting a better person to run for his Senate seat this year. And happily, there is a candidate running against him in the Republican primary who would bring a Tea Party brand of conservatism to Washington. His name is Matt Bevin.
In July, National Review ran an article titled “Kentucky’s Ted Cruz?” that was about Bevin. In response, Bevin wrote: “I can tell you, I truly appreciate this comparison. Ted Cruz is exactly the kind of principled, conservative senator I will be–one who isn’t afraid to stand up to the ‘establishment,’ even in his own party.”
Could you imagine McConnell saying anything like that? I can’t.

It should tell you something that The Hill ran an article about Bevin’s challenge of McConnell with the headline “Democrats, for once, are rooting for McConnell in Senate primary.” Why would the Democrats hope a Republican incumbent would win his primary? Because they know — and recent polls confirm — that Bevin has a better chance of beating Alison Lundergan Grimes, the Democratic candidate, than McConnell.
That’s right. As surprising as it may sound, the latest Rasmussen poll in Kentucky says that Bevin has a better chance of defeating Grimes than the incumbent. Kentucky is a deeply red State; heck, Obama lost the state to Mitt Romney by a margin of 22.7 points. So any Republican should be a shoo-in to win an election there.
But not McConnell. It seems that many Kentuckians are as dismayed by his so-called “leadership” as I am. And I’m not alone. Here’s what Erick Erickson, the editor of RedState, had to say about this contest: “You want to change Washington? I’ll say it again — the single biggest thing you can do is support Matt Bevin.”
To learn more about Bevin, go to his campaign website, www.mattbevin.com. But don’t delay. The Republican primary in Kentucky is May 20. That gives conservatives just three months to get a staunch conservative running for the Senate seat there.
I hope the voters in Kentucky will tell McConnell it’s time to retire. If you know any there, please ask them to jump on this bandwagon.
Until next time, keep some powder dry.

Israeli Settlers Mock Kerry’s Peacemaking With Spoof Video

Israel’s Yesha [settlers] Council has posted online a deliberately disrespectful spoof depicting America’s top diplomat – played by an actor resembling John Kerry – riding a camel and making a series of preposterous statements that belittle his understanding of the region’s complexities.

Liberalism Is A Mental Disorder (And This Guy Proves It!)

Obama O'Reilly
by

The interests of full disclosure require me to acknowledge that I have never liked Bill O’Reilly (BOR).
This said, I will nevertheless comment, not on his interview of Barack Obama Sunday night, but rather on a critique of his work offered by a Marc Ambinder, who was sent careening off the walls by BOR’s “ridiculous” interview of Obama. Fair enough; let’s take a look at what Ambinder had to say.
After the obligatory liberal attack on Fox News and a completely incongruent, but equally obligatory swipe at Sean Hannity, Ambinder attempted to establish that he was disappointed because BOR’s questions were not sufficiently tough.  He smugly babbles about “the real world,” betraying the liberals’ insistence that the world is actually liberal and conservatism is an aberration.

When BOR asked Obama when he knew the Obamacare website would fail–something that public record shows he knew months before and was increasingly warned of as the opening date grew closer–Ambinder recoiled in righteous indignation.  In doing so, he either feigns ignorance of the possibility that Obama wanted Obamacare to fail so that he could stampede Americans into a single payer system, or shows that he has not actually given the question much thought. Either way, that alone disqualified him as an honest judge of BOR’s work. Coming to the prevaricating Obama’s defense over his inability to coherently answer the question, he pats Barack on the head and asserts that the question was so ridiculous as to be unanswerable. Clearly, he believes everything his president says.
Having exhausted the small bit of grownup criticism he could muster, Ambinder then fell back on the liberals’ favorite defense of  “Nuts and sluts.” If their conservative target is a woman, she is called a “slut” (Sarah Palin); if a male conservative is the target, he is called a “nut.” Ambinder’s showed us this with this line: “But instead, O’Reilly entered the imaginary world of conspiracies and cover-ups and let the president off easy.

He then addressed BOR’s questioning of Obama over the Benghazi murders. Apparently satisfied that Obama’s Administration had told the truth about how he let four Americans die to prove there was no al Qaeda, Ambinder insists “investigation after investigation” has apparently cleared Obama of guilt in the matter, and Americans have no interest in getting to the truth behind Obama’ and Hillary Clinton’s lies about Benghazi.
Ambinder offers a “better” question, one he thinks is on the mind and lips of all Americans: “Did arms provided to Libyans end up in Syria?” (and you thought you were “on top” of the news.)
Not content to have quit while he could be seen at least as just a wrongheaded liberal cheerleader, Ambinder plunges into a pit that even willfully blind liberals should know enough to tiptoe around.
He insists there is no scandal in Obama’s “Nixonian” use of the IRS to punish conservatives for attempting to exercise our rights to assemble and peacefully demand Constitutional government. This liberal sycophant actually addressed the matter by putting the word “scandal” in quotes. Don’t you love it when liberals try to talk like big boys and girls?
Ambinder suggested that instead of an honest question designed to elicit an honest answer from a dishonest president, BOR should have thrown him a softball set-up like this: “… ask him whether he endorsed the tougher enforcement because of imbalances created by the Citizens United campaign finance decision.”
Liberalism is indeed a mental disorder, and this guy proves it.

John Kerry To Israel: It’s All Your Fault!

John Kerry Credibility Sinking SC
by

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t Secretary of State John Kerry supposed to be a diplomat?
I’m not really sure anymore. Lately, he’s been running around the globe insulting adversaries and allies alike, threatening countries, and furthering the stereotype of the ugly American.
In Europe, the story is making banner headlines. In America, on the other hand, Kerry’s disastrous attempt at brokering peace has completely evaded the press. Domestic coverage of his antics is almost nonexistent!

So in case you haven’t heard, here’s the deal…
Kerry wants a peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians. And because of his oversized ego, Kerry sees himself as the only person capable of brokering such a deal. In reality, though, his overreaching rhetoric has only stunted progress.
Some of Kerry’s most inappropriate comments were spoken recently at the annual Munich Security Conference. When asked about the Middle East peace process, Kerry said:
For Israel, the stakes are also enormously high. Do they want a failure that then begs whatever may come in the form of a response from disappointed Palestinians and the Arab community?… And you see, for Israel there’s an increasing delegitimization campaign that has been building up. People are very sensitive to it. There are talks of boycotts and other kinds of things. Are we all going to be better with all of that?
Kerry’s statements make it sound as though he’s giving a free pass to Israel haters around the world. He’s practically inviting more violence from anti-Semitic terrorists!

It would normally be unthinkable for a U.S. official to delegitimize Israel, and Israeli officials are understandably furious. Minister of Intelligence Yuval Steinitz said, “The things [that] Kerry said are hurtful… and they’re intolerable. Israel cannot be expected to negotiate with a gun to its head.”
Naftali Bennett, Minister of Industry, Trade, and Labor, blasted Kerry as a mouthpiece for anti-Semitism, saying, “We expect of our friends in the world to stand by our side against the attempts to impose an anti-Semitic boycott on Israel, and not to be their mouthpiece.”
And That’s Not All
While Kerry’s insensitive handling of Israel’s concerns is worrisome enough, it’s not even the extent of the damage he’s done! Somehow, Kerry has also managed to piss off the Palestinians. This report comes to us from The Jerusalem Post:
According to a Palestinian source,”U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry recently threatened PA President Mahmoud Abbas that he would meet the same fate as his predecessor, Yasser Arafat, if he turned down Washington’s proposals for peace with Israel.”
The source claimed that Kerry told Abbas his fate would not be “less than that of Yasser Arafat.” This reportedly caused President Abbas to storm angrily out of a four-hour meeting with Kerry in Ramallah after the Secretary of State tried to pressure Abbas into accepting Washington’s proposals.
The same Jerusalem Post explains why this language is so infuriating to the Palestinians: “Jamal Muhaissen, a senior Fatah official in the West Bank, said that if the report is true, ‘this shows that Israel assassinated Yasser Arafat after receiving a green light from the U.S. administration.’ Muhaissen said that Kerry’s threat comes in wake of his failure to impose a settlement on Israel that is ‘consistent with international law.’”

Putting Out Fire… With Gasoline
I was always taught that the United States’ objective in the Middle East was fostering peace. America was to act as an impartial third party, with the goal of inspiring trust between two parties that have none.
Unfortunately, Secretary of State Kerry can clearly be seen doing the opposite. He’s threatening both sides and telling them that they must accept his peace plan or face severe consequences. To me, this sounds more like a dictator than a diplomat.
I can’t help but notice that, since Obama’s team took over the White House, America’s reputation around the world has been shredded by inconsistent and bullying behavior. On top of that, the Mideast is in complete chaos. Syria is burning. Iran is building nuclear weapons. Violence is commonplace in Egypt, Iraq, and Libya. Parts of northern Africa are in open civil war.
And as for our U.S. Secretary of State? He’s busy pouring gasoline on the bonfire. God help us.

OBAMA: FALSE HOPE, FALSE MESSIAH

And it came to pass in the Age of Insanity that the people of the land called America, having lost their morals , their initiative , and their Will to defend their liberties, chose as their Supreme Leader that Person known as "The One."

He emerged from the vapors with a message that had no meaning; but He Hypnotized the people telling them , "I am sent to save you."

My lack of experience , my questionable ethics , my monstrous ego , and my Association with evil doers are of no consequence. I shall save you with Hope and Change. Go , therefore , and proclaim throughout the Land that he who preceded me is evil , that he has defiled the nation , and that all he has built must be destroyed.

And the people rejoiced , For even though they knew not what "The One" would do , he had promised that it was good; and they believed.

And "The One" said " We live in The greatest country in the world. Help me change everything about it!"

And the people said , "Hallelujah! Change is good!"

Then He said , "We are going to tax the rich fat-cats."

And the People said "Sock it to them!"

"And redistribute their wealth."

And the people said , "Show us the money!"

And the he said , "Redistribution of wealth is good for everybody.."

And Joe the plumber asked , "Are you kidding me? You're going to Steal my money and give it to the deadbeats??"

And "The One" ridiculed and taunted him , and Joe's personal records were hacked and publicized.

One lone reporter asked , "Isn't that Marxist policy?" And she was banished from the kingdom.

Then a citizen asked , "With no foreign relations experience and having zero military experience or knowledge , how will you deal with Radical terrorists?"

And "The One" said , "Simple. I shall sit with them and talk with them and show them how nice we really are; and they will forget that they ever wanted to kill us all!"

And the people said , "Hallelujah!! We are safe at last , and we can beat our weapons Into free cars for the people!"

Then "The One" said "I shall give 95% of you lower taxes."

And one , Lone voice said , "But 40% of us don't pay ANY taxes.

"So "The One" Said , "Then I shall give you some of the taxes the fat-cats
pay!"

And the people said , "Hallelujah! Show us the money!"
Then "The One" said , "I shall tax your Capital Gains when you sell your homes!"

And the people yawned and the slumping housing market collapsed.

And He said. "I shall mandate employer-funded health care for every worker and raise the minimum wage. And I shall give every Person unlimited healthcare and medicine and transportation to the Clinics."

...Oh, except for Muslims for Muslims shall not pay their share of healthcare.

And the people said , "Give me some of that!"

Then he said , "I shall penalize employers who ship jobs overseas."

And the people said , "Where's my rebate check?"

Then "The One" said , "I shall bankrupt the coal industry and electricity rates will skyrocket!"

And the people said , "Coal is dirty , coal is evil , no more coal! But we don't care for that part about higher electric rates.

So "The One" said , Not to worry. If Your rebate isn't enough to cover your expenses , we shall bail you out.

Just sign up with the ACORN and you troubles are over!"
Then He said , "Illegal immigrants feel scorned and slighted. Let's grant them amnesty , Social Security , free education , free lunches , Free medical care , bilingual signs and guaranteed housing...

" And the people said , "Hallelujah!" and they made him king!

And so it came to pass that employers , facing spiraling costs and ever-higher taxes , raised their prices and laid off workers. Others simply gave up and went out of business and the economy sank like unto a rock dropped from a cliff.

The banking industry was destroyed. Manufacturing slowed to a crawl and more of the people were without a means of support.

Then "The One" said , "I am the "the One"- The Messiah and I'm here To save you!

We shall just print more money so everyone will have enough!"

But our foreign trading partners said unto Him. "Wait a Minute. Your dollar is not worth a pile of camel dung! You will have to pay more...

And "The One" said , "Wait a minute. That is unfair!!"

And the world said , "Neither are these other idiotic programs you have embraced.

Lo , you have become a Socialist state and a second-rate power. Now you shall play by our rules!"

And the people cried out , "Alas , alas!! What have we done?"
And the change agent's name was changed to dung. And the once mighty nation was no more; and the once proud people were without sustenance or shelter or hope.

And the Change "The One" had given them was as like unto a poison that had destroyed them and like a whirlwind that consumed all that they had built.

And the people beat their chests in despair and cried out in anguish , "Give us back our nation and our pride and our hope!!" But it was too late , and their homeland was no more.

‘Ridiculous’: Firef!ghter Ended Up Handcuffed While Helping Victims of Serious Car Accident

While responding to a Tuesday night rollover accident in Chula Vista, Calif., a police officer and firef!ghter got into a dispute over where the fire engine should park. It ended with the uniformed firefighter in handcuffs.

The California Highway Patrol officer reportedly ordered the firefighter, identified as Jacob Gregoir, to move the fire engine off the center divide or he would be arrested. As he worked the scene and checked the overturned car for more victims, he reportedly told the unidentified officer that he would have to check with his captain.

That’s when the officer decided to detain the firefighter instead.

According to UT San Diego, Gregoir — a fire service veteran of more than 12 years — parked the truck behind an ambulance to provide protection to the emergency responders from oncoming traffic. This is apparently a standard safety procedure fire crews are taught.
“To detain one of our firefighters in the middle of an incident is ridiculous,” Chula Vista Fire Department Chief Dave Hanneman said. “It doesn’t provide the good customer service, the good public service that both of our agencies are there to do.”

Hanneman later confirmed to UT San Diego that fire crews are trained to park their rigs with the intention of blocking oncoming traffic.

“I know clearing the freeway is a priority for the CHP. Our No. 1 priority is the safety of our firefighters and patients,” he said.

“The driver of a white Honda Civic involved in the crash was transported to the hospital. No word on the condition of the second driver,” KFMB-TV reports.

Sandra Bullock Gets Sentimental Saying Goodbye to Jay Leno

oped: Hey Sandra is cool...she is a class act and for the record I liked all of her movies...the only thingee that had me scratching my proverbial head is when she married that creep 'Jesse James' or whatever his real name is...as for Jay ya I agree he is also a class act...and he does have a cool oldies car collection:) 'Too Die For' imho and I do believe FoxNews should grab Jay up he would make a great addition to FoxNews and imho he would be more at home...he does exhibit conservative values:)

Sandra Bullock is sad to see Jay Leno go.
The 49-year-old "Gravity" star stopped by "The Tonight Show" Wednesday and, while reminiscing about her many appearances on the show, she shed some tears over Leno's (forced) retirement from the show.
"I'm going to start crying," she said after Leno thanked her for "coming here all these years." "You've always been so kind. That's saying a lot in this business, because we like to be mean."

"There's not been one time that you haven't treated me like I had something to offer — even when the film was horrible and you knew it, you never let me see it in your eyes," she said with that trademark Bullock charm, likely referring to earlier in the interview where he chided her for the masterpiece that was "Speed 2."
She added: "When I made crazy life decisions, you never questioned. You were so welcoming. ... I just felt special, even when I felt very insecure. And everyone in this room and in this country has felt this every day that you have been in their home."
"Well, you are special," Leno replied, planting a kiss on Bullock's hand.
Other guests helping say goodbye to Leno, whose final episode of the show airs Thursday night, included Carrot Top and director Kevin Smith.
And the tributes haven't been limited to "The Tonight Show" set. On Wednesday night, NBC honored the outgoing comedian, who is being replaced by Jimmy Fallon after 22 years as host, by decorating the tallest building in Burbank, where the late show has taped, with lights spelling out "Thx Jay!"

The network also took out ads in magazines last week thanking Leno for his time as host of the famed talk show.

Police State: Watch Iowa Cops Go SWAT On Family Home During Fruitless Warrant Raid

by
An Iowa family is confused and angry in the wake of a recent brush with America’s highly evolved military police, who executed a search warrant on their home by suiting up a dozen officers in tactical gear, battering down the door and generally treating everyone as though violence was an expected outcome. The police were looking for someone who had used a credit card to fraudulently buy stuff. They found nothing like that.
Thankfully, a surveillance video captured a significant portion of the raid. It doesn’t bear out the cops’ claim that they knocked on the door and gave homeowner Sally Prince adequate time to open it. It does show a cop destroying one closed-circuit security camera outside, and another attempting to cover up a camera inside the house.

Iowa’s WHO-TV reported on the shock raid Monday, including plenty of surveillance video that clearly illustrates the extent of the SWAT-style overkill.
“Sally Prince is afraid to stay in her Des Moines home,” reported the station’s Aaron Brilbeck. “She isn’t afraid of burglars breaking in — she’s afraid of the police.”
“I’ve been so traumatized. I don’t sleep at night,” Prince says.
On Thursday, Ankeny police executed a search warrant looking for someone they suspected of using stolen credit cards to buy clothes and electronics.
The whole search was caught on surveillance video.
Ankeny police tell us they knocked first, but the video shows one officer pounding on the side of the house and seconds later, officers use a battering ram to force their way in.
The video also shows an officer destroying a security camera outside the home.
Two people in the house were arrested on unrelated charges, and the family says none of the items listed on the warrant were [sic] found.
The raid, although conducted by police from the town of Ankeny, took place at a home inside the Des Moines police jurisdiction “because the alleged theft took place in Ankeny, but the suspects live in Des Moines.”
Ankeny police captain Makai Echer said the squad made a tactical decision to use force to gain entry because the department believed the occupants’ criminal records justified it. Here’s WHO-TV’s report on the occupants’ criminal past:

Monday, we reported one of the four people listed, Richard Forestier Adair, had no real criminal record.  But the name on the warrant is apparently wrong. Adair’s middle name is Foster and he does have a long criminal record but very few violent arrests. Adair has two assault convictions about 14 years ago and a domestic assault conviction in 2002.
A police spokeswoman also said officers believed there was a gun in the home.  The man [Justin Ross] who lives there, who does not have a criminal record, does have a weapons permit.
Ross, Prince’s son, was in the bathroom and was legally armed at the time. A cop kicked the door once; it didn’t open. He got it on the second try. The time between those two kicks may have made the difference between Ross living and dying, because he realized the situation as the cop was kicking away, and went from a defensive stance, with his weapon drawn, to a submissive one.
“I stood up; I drew my weapon; I started to get myself together to come out the door,” explained Ross. “I heard somebody out in the main room say ‘police’ — and I re-holstered my weapon, I sat back down and I put my hands in my lap.”
If he hadn’t quickly holstered his gun, said Ross, “I would’ve been standing there with my weapon drawn, pointed at the doorway, and they probably would’ve shot me.”
“This was over… property purchased with a stolen credit card,” said Prince. “It doesn’t make any sense that they would go to such extremes for something that simple.”
The search yielded nothing named in the search warrant. Two people living in the house, Miranda Scigliano and Richard Adair, were arrested on unrelated charges. Scigliano was taken in for probation violation; Adair for possession of drugs with intent to deliver.

Congressman Adam Kinzinger: ‘Our Enemies No Longer Fear Us, And Our Allies No Longer Trust Us’

Rep. Adam Kinzinger
by
The U.S. House of Representatives’ customary general speech sessions, which permit Congressmen to speak from the floor for five minutes on any topic of their choosing, can yield a lot of bloviating and hot air. But Congressman Adam Kinzinger’s (R-Ill.) floor speech Tuesday should be required listening for Secretary of State John Kerry and the U.S. diplomatic corps, who must walk the Mideast policy path laid down by President Barack Obama.
Kinzinger, an Iraq veteran, lamented the way in which recent American Presidential Administrations have devalued our Nations’ global credibility. And he and drew a line between President George H.W. Bush’s myopic understanding of Islamist terror and Obama’ present approach — which attempts to treat Islamist fundamentalism as a fly-in-the-ointment security problem, even as the President expands upon the fear-based domestic security apparatus he inherited from President George W. Bush.
“…[W]e have people who live solely for the purpose of killing and destroying people that don’t see eye to eye with their specific religious ideology,” said Kinzinger. “Failure to confront those terrorists in the 1990s led to the big problem we have today. And what we’ve seen lately is that same kind of retrenchment by the United States of America — undoubtedly, still the most powerful country in the world. Our enemies no longer fear us, and our allies no longer trust

Kelo Forever

<em>Kelo</em> Forever
by
In 2005, a property-rights case made its way to the U.S. Supreme Court. Entitled Kelo v. City of New London, the case represented the last-ditch attempt by a small group of middle-class Americans to save their middle-class homes from an eminent domain seizure. Led by a nurse and single mother named Suzette Kelo, none of the six plaintiffs was the sort to spend a lot of time in the highest court in the land. And their opponents made the case an almost blatant metaphor for David and Goliath. Standing opposite the everyman plaintiffs was the city of New London, Conn. And standing behind New London was the pharmaceutical giant Pfizer. Thanks to a sweetheart deal proffered by a city nearly desperate for incoming capital, Pfizer was the incoming tenant of a tract of land just across the water from the Kelo homestead.
In the eternally infamous decision, the court’s liberal wing ruled in favor of the government-industrial complex. At the time, the decision sparked a brushfire of outrage amongst the politically active segment of the population; but the blaze was unable to breach the walls of American indifference. Of course, the Kelo decision hardly marked the first time our government stepped on our fellow citizens’ necks. But Kelo represented a new low. Kelo wasn’t a ruling extending freedom. Kelo was a ruling that specifically limited freedom. And it didn’t take place back in the days before 24-hour news channels and 24-second news cycles. Kelo happened against the backdrop of the Internet age. And we ignored it.

The court had not entertained an “eminent domain” case for more than 20 years. With Kelo, for the first time since the dawn of the digital age, the government blatantly abrogated the Bill of Rights — specifically the 5th Amendment’s Takings Clause — on behalf of the promise of corporate cash; and the people let them get away with it. Moreover, the government-industrial complex conclusively learned that outrage, even over the most egregious crimes the State might commit, has a definitive shelf life.
In the most recent edition of The Weekly Standard, writer Charlotte Allen presented ‘Kelo’ Revisited.” Allen reveals the postscript to the Kelo group’s heartbreaking saga is sadder than Justin Bieber in the county lockup’s general population. After years of legal warfare, crippling financial losses, endless hours of time and effort, the city of New London and its accomplices have turned Kelo, et al.’s homes into… nothing.
There’s nothing there. The land deemed so prime for a conference/condo/recreational/retail/riverwalk/tourist trap/airbrushed T-shirt mega-center remains little more than scrub pine and seagulls. Pfizer ended up canceling its expansion plans and left New London with nary a little blue pill as a parting gift. The construction company hired to develop the seized land failed to secure financing and hightailed it back to Boston. Government wanted Kelo’s land. Government got it. And then government left it sitting there. In the Kelo context, government is a spoiled baby — albeit a spoiled baby whose tantrums can involve drone strikes.

And we’re still paying for it in spades. Kelo was the go code for government to roll heavy across our Constitutional landscape. From Kelo came the unmitigated gall of every fraudulent, crony-capitalist, government abuse of power since. The bank and auto bailouts, the “green” energy scams, the gunrunning disasters, the terrorism cover-ups, the domestic spying, the Internal Revenue Service bullying and Obamacare all got their green lights from Kelo.
I might be overestimating Kelo’s import. Perhaps Allen caught me on a particularly impressionable day. But I can’t help but note the striking rise in unapologetic government intrusion into private life in just less than a decade since. Nine years after Kelo, a simple land-grab seems almost quaint.

Constitution Check: What does it mean that there is a right to “bear” guns?

2nd Amendment~~Alabama & Tennessee Residents (and surrounding areas ...

THE STATEMENT AT ISSUE:
There is “a growing line of court of appeals decisions that, while stopping short of holding that there is no Second Amendment right outside the home, consistently reach the same result by deeming any right to bear arms in public to be, at best, outside the Second Amendment’s ‘core’ and then balancing it away under an anemic form of intermediate scrutiny.”
 – Charles J. Cooper, a Washington, D.C., attorney for the National Rifle Association, in a brief filed at the Supreme Court on Monday, urging the Justices to strike down a law that bans minors from carrying a handgun in public, beyond the home.

WE CHECKED THE CONSTITUTION, AND…

The Second Amendment, at its core, spells out not one, but two, rights when it protects “the right of the people.”  There is a right to “keep” a gun, there is a right, to “bear” a gun.  There is an “and” between the two in the text, so that might well be taken as a significant indication that these are separate rights.
The Supreme Court in 2008 made it clear that the right to “keep” a gun is a personal right, and that it means one has a right to keep a functioning firearm for self-defense within the home.   But it has refused repeatedly since then to take on the question of whether that right exists also outside the home.  If there is a separate right to “bear” a gun (and the Court, in fact, did say in 2008 that the two rights were separate), it has not said what that means.
The National Rifle Association, and some of its members, are now pressing the Supreme Court to answer that question.  They are doing so in two cases testing whether the federal government and the states can restrict the rights of minors to possess a gun outside the home.   The Court is expected to take its first look at those cases later this month, to decide whether it will hear either or both of them.   The federal government, once again, is urging the Court to bypass those cases, as it has done with perhaps a half-dozen others seeking clarification of the Second Amendment’s scope.

In a case from Texas, the NRA’s lawyers have reduced to elementary constitutional logic the question of what a right to “bear” guns means: “The explicit guarantee of the right to ‘bear’ arms would mean nothing,” the NRA’s filing argued, “if it did not protect the right to ‘bear’ arms outside of the home, where the Amendment already guarantees that they may be ‘kept.’   The most fundamental canons of construction forbid any interpretation that would discard this language as meaningless surplus.”
While the NRA and its lawyers are sharply critical of the lower federal courts for failing to explicitly extend the Second Amendment beyond the confines of one’s home, there have been a couple of breakthrough decisions doing just that.  For example, the Seventh U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals based in Chicago did so when it ruled unconstitutional an Illinois law banning the carrying of guns in public, at least when that was for the purpose of self-defense.  That decision had seemed headed for the Supreme Court, but the state legislature chose to eliminate the ban and the appeal prospect vanished.
The lower courts that have declined to enlarge the right have seemed to be convinced that it would be a bold step to do so, and some have suggested that it should be up to the Supreme Court to make the ultimate decision on that point.  The Court might be expected to step in to resolve the issue, if it were convinced that there is actually a true split on it among lower courts.

In the new NRA cases now awaiting the Justices’ attention, separate groups of judges on the Fifth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, based in New Orleans, rejected NRA challenges to the federal and state laws restricting minors’ access to guns.   The case involving the Texas law is explicitly about a right to carry a handgun in public, at least for minors.   In that state, they may own a handgun, but without a license to carry it in public – for which they are ineligible because of their age – they may have such a weapon only at home.
One of the reasons why the Justices might find the NRA challenges more appealing cases to review is that, in both, the federal appeals court came very close to creating an entirely new category of individuals ineligible to “bear” arms, merely because of their age.   In both of the decisions at issue, the appeals court said it was “likely” that they were not protected at all under the Second Amendment, or under the separate parts of the Constitution that guarantee all individuals equal legal rights.
If the Justices do agree to return to the ongoing controversy over the reach of the Second Amendment, it is probably too late in the current term to add that to the docket.  If granted review, it would very likely go over to the next term, starting in October.

Christian activist Joni Eareckson Tada accuses Hollywood of "shunning Christ"

Christian activist Joni Eareckson Tada accuses Hollywood of "shunning Christ" after the Academy Award rescinded a Best Original Song Oscar nomination to the independent Christian film Alone Yet Not Alone.

Tada – a severely disabled evangelical author, radio host, and public speaker – was chosen to sing a song of the same name as the central theme to the movie, and she believes its rejection by the Academy board reveals the entertainment world's anti-Christian culture.
"I don’t think we should be surprised that Hollywood is shunning Christ," she told Breitbart News. "Jesus was shunned by much weightier adversaries than those in the field of entertainment."
Tada spoke to Breitbart News yesterday, describing the story behind the film:
The movie is a true story about two sisters taken by a tribe of Indians during the French and Indian war in 1775. During the eight years of their captivity it is their faith and that song, a hymn taught to them by their mother, that sees them through. When they were reunited with their mother, the girls were unrecognizable. The girls were in a huddled group of youngsters also taken by the Indians, and the mother did not recognize them, so she sang the hymn – and it was that way they were reunited with their mother.

Tada was 18 when she was paralyzed from the neck down after a freak diving accident in the Chesapeake Bay. She went on to a career telling her story and inspiring others through her books and personal appearances. It was at one of her personal appearances that she was asked to sing the song.
“I was speaking at a convention, giving the closing message and in the audience were friends of the filmmakers. I quote hymns throughout my message and they approached me [and] asked if I would like to sing the song for the movie,” Tada told Breitbart News.

The song, written by the team of Bruce Broughton and Dennis Spiegel, shocked the world when it was nominated for an Academy Award, going up against songs from blockbusters like Frozen, Despicable Me, and Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom. After all, Alone Yet Not Alone was only in eleven theaters for a few weeks last year and grossed only $133,000.
Tada said, “I was stunned when it happened. A friend called from back east and I thought it was a joke, then I saw it on Facebook and Twitter and email, and it was clear we had been nominated.”
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the song encountered immediate opposition, including from rival song promoters who hired a private investigator who called Alone Yet Not Alone producers pretending to be a “researcher.” He asked how the film was advertised during the film’s eleven-day, single-theater release in November. The movie was given a limited release in order to qualify for this year’s Oscars.
“They actually hired private investigators to determine whether the movie had met the criteria for being nominated," said Tada – "how much was spent on advertising, how long it was in release, how much it made when it was released. It looks like a lot of people were offended this song was up against such box office hits.”

The Academy rejected this approach and then were informed that Broughton, former Academy governor and at one time on the Executive Committee of its song branch, had sent emails to some voting members asking them to listen to the song.
This, they decided, was undue influence.
After only thirteen days as a nominee, the song was formally rejected by the Academy, claiming it was protecting the “integrity” of the voting process.
Tada claims foul:
I can’t say the reason the nomination was rescinded, but it has to be more than a few emails. But if they pulled the Oscar from all the movie people who campaigned for an Oscar, they would probably all have to give them back. And the fact that he used to head the music branch and was on the board of the Academy must mean he knew he was not breaking any rules.
Gerald Molen, the Oscar-winning producer of Schindler’s List, was even more blistering. In a letter sent to the Academy and made public, Molen wrote, "Every film, director, writer, cinematographer, actor, art director, costume designer and efx house finds a way to pitch or promote their work. Many will see this decision as faith-based bigotry pure and simple.”
Tada will meet the filmmakers and the songwriters for the first time this Friday night at the Movie Guide awards in Los Angeles.

Boehner, Undeterred, Moves Forward on Immigration

Speaker John Boehner isn't ready to let the dream die.

On Tuesday, Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell told reporters immigration is just not in the cards in 2014. Last Thursday, rank-and-file House members sent a loud message at that President Obama is not the partner for legislation, spooking even top proponent Paul Ryan.
The editors from National Review, Weekly Standard, and numerous other top conservative pundits have urged the Ohio Republican to cut it out.
However, since the GOP retreat last week, Boehner has just kept marching along.
“I think leadership's focus and my focus is to get [immigration] done as early as possible,” said Rep. Jeff Denham of California, who Boehner recently met with on the issue.
“It's part of our conference agenda right now. It doesn't go on the agenda without scheduling bills and scheduling time on the floor,” Denham added.
“Clearly, the draft principles we outlined, members seemed to be supportive of them,” Boehner said at a press conference Tuesday morning in response to a question from Breitbart News, adding, “no decisions have been made” on whether to move forward.
“I wouldn't be surprised” if immigration legislation came to the House floor as early as this spring, one well-connected GOP member said.
Boehner's office has released several documents touting the GOP principles since the retreat, some of which include almost cartoonish defenses of a proposal.

The “principles” would “eliminate the ability for any administration to arbitrarily decide which laws to enforce,” a Q&A posted on Boehner's website says.
Meanwhile, top amnesty proponents outside Congress say they were relatively pleased with the principles and how they were received by the GOP.
"What has surprised me is how few people in House Republican caucus have stood up and opposed the policy," said Frank Sharry, founder and executive director of America's Voice and one of the nation's leading proponents for immigration reform. "Now maybe the concern about timing, and Obama's trustworthiness are excuses, ways to get to 'no' without seeming to be in league with the hardliners. For us, watching it from our somewhat distant perspective, it's the dog that didn't bark," he continued.
"This is the party that voted against the DREAM Act in Dec. 2010. Republicans backed Mitt Romney and his call for self-deportation in 2012," Sharry added. "And now in early 2014 the House Republicans are saying citizenship for DREAMers and legal status with no special path for the rest. That's a pretty significant shift, it seems to me."
In the House, immigration is still going to be a tough slog, no matter what Boehner wants.
For example, the push back from conservatives has caused significant tremors of doubt within Boehner's leadership team.

GOP Whip Kevin McCarthy, who on a personal level strongly supports moving forward on the issue, is feeling the heat back home, Republicans familiar with the matter say. The California Republican represents a highly conservative district with a lot of anti-amnesty sentiment. But it also has a significant percentage of Hispanics and pro-immigration bill activists have staged sit-ins in McCarthy's district offices.
Majority Leader Eric Cantor has put major effort into a GOP version of the DREAM Act, which grants amnesty to the children of illegal immigrants. But he is also keeping an eye on his right flank in the event Boehner retires at the end of this Congress, leaving the seat open for Cantor to claim.
Responding to Denham's claim that floor time has already been scheduled for immigration bills, Cantor spokesman Rory Cooper said, “There has been nothing scheduled as of now.”
Ryan, meanwhile, confirmed Tuesday that he had met secretly with top Democrat Sen. Chuck Schumer on immigration but dismissed the importance of the session, which he said occurred last year.

After raising serious doubts about whether immigration could come to the floor this year in a Sunday television interview, Ryan was more optimistic in remarks to reporters Tuesday.
“It wasn't really bad,” Ryan said about the immigration showdown in Cambridge, MD. “The substance of our document people really appreciated. It's just, like I said, the lawlessness of the White House makes us lose confidence that the President will enforce the laws,” Ryan said.
What took place in the meeting has emerged as a point of debate among Republicans.
GOP sources who participated in the meeting – both those who support moving on the issue and those who don't – said in the hours afterwards that about 80 percent of the lawmakers who spoke were against bringing a bill forward this year.
“I would say that's ridiculous,” Denham said Tuesday about their accounts.
The issue is complicated because some of the lawmakers who spoke in favor of the substance of the principles were not in favor of moving forward on legislation. In many cases, members only implied their stance on the underlying question rather than explicitly stating it. They also mostly only had one minute to speak each.

Still, conservative heavyweights like Reps. Tom Price and Jeb Hensarling came out strongly against moving forward, and the result of the meeting seemed to change Ryan's tone in the days afterward.
One conservative lawmaker who said the meeting was deeply lopsided against bringing forward legislation in 2014 warned Boehner: “I think he is out for a walk with nobody tagging along.”
“At this point I don't anticipate legislation will come to the floor,” said Rep. Tom Cotton, a freshman member running for Senate in Arkansas.
A top immigration proponent from the upper chamber, meanwhile, pitched a new argument for why Republicans can trust Obama to enforce any immigration bills they send him.
"80 percent of Americans, if not 90, want to secure the border. So, lets say that for some reason the Obama administration backed away from what Congress mandated – fellow Democrats would get killed," said Lindsey Graham, the South Carolina Republican up for reelection this fall. "He's not running again, other people are. This scenario that he could just unilaterally back away from border enforcement and politically that not be damning to the Democratic party… the reason I know that we could move forward with securing the border is the Democratic party would get killed if they didn't,” Graham said.

Senator Marco Rubio, another Gang of Eight member, was more pessimistic. Asked if the House should move forward in 2014, Rubio said, “That's not my role to give them advice on. They're working on what is a very difficult issue. The resistance they're running into is a lack of confidence that this president and the federal government will enforce the security measures no matter what they're written as.”

The MyRA Scam

The MyRA Scam
by
Don’t fall for the President’s MyRA scam. You’d be better off putting that money under your mattress. It will still lose value because of inflation, but at least the government won’t know where it is so it can steal it.
The President announced MyRA (though he pronounced it like he was reading for the first time) during his State of the Union address Jan. 28. If you didn’t smell boondoggle right off, you should have.
According to the plan as announced, savers can begin with an initial deposit of $25 and contribute as little as $5 per payday. The money is invested in a Treasury security.
The U.S. government is currently living off quantitative easing. I have described it in the past as pouring water into milk. But here’s a better analogy I heard over the weekend:

A couple is short of money but has some bills they must pay. They have some old items they need to get rid of so they decide to hold a garage sale. On the day of the sale, the husband helps the wife set the items in the yard, then trots off to work.
When he comes home that afternoon, all the items are gone. He’s ecstatic, the sale was a success and they have the money they need to pay the bills. The husband congratulates the wife on her entrepreneurship. She proudly proclaims they now have the money to pay the bills.
When the husband looks into the garage he sees that all the items that were in the yard have been stored. He turns to his wife and says, “I thought you sold everything.”
“I did. When nobody came to buy anything I just wrote a check and sold it to us.”
That’s what the government is doing with Treasuries through quantitative easing to infinity. When the government goes bankrupt — and it will — those Treasuries will be worthless. And now the government is encouraging you to buy them.
MyRAs will earn the same interest as the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) Government Securities Investment Fund that is available to Federal employees. The TSP’s own paperwork says this about its interest rate: “The G Fund is subject to inflation risk, or the possibility that your G Fund investment will not grow enough to offset the reduction in purchasing power that results from inflation.”

All your savings will be visible to government and available for confiscation — the same government that is already eyeing $19 trillion in pension funds, individual retirement accounts and 401(k) plans. Don’t think this will happen? Governments across the globe have already done so.
If you want to “invest” in the U.S. government, there is currently a provision to do so. The MyRA plan mimics it. Just open an account with Treasury to buy U.S. savings bonds. The difference is that MyRA will be run by a crony Wall Street firm.
President Barack Obama claimed the MyRA plan is a “starter savings account” to help people on low incomes and without employer-sponsored 401(k) plans save for retirement. But those on low incomes have no discretionary income for putting into a retirement account. In fact, according to the Corporation for Enterprise Development, nearly half of all Americans are currently living paycheck to paycheck. Many Americans have depleted their retirement savings to survive the current depression.
The MyRA plan is a scam and a sham and another Ponzi scheme and should be avoided at all costs. Any discretionary income should go to pay off debt and/or buy silver or gold and store food and water, guns and ammunition, not prop up the government’s house of cards.

Is Obama’s Secret Army Mobilizing In The Wake Of The Dow’s Demise?

Is Obama’s Secret Army Mobilizing In The Wake Of The Dow’s Demise?
by
The Dow Jones industrial average, the stock index that represents the wealth and welfare of the Nation, is collapsing before our eyes. With the Dow down almost 1,000 points in just three weeks, I have no doubt that President Barack Obama’s personal police force, his Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC), is on standby to engage American citizens in big cities and country communities.
Anyone who believes that JSOC, which originally numbered in the dozens and is now 25,000 strong, was built up to its current size to deal with a few thousand Muslim extremists is disconnected from reality.
“We’re the dark matter. We’re the force that orders the universe but can’t be seen,” a Navy SEAL and JSOC soldier told The Washington Post in 2011.
From whom does this dark force take orders? The son of a Kenyan Marxist commands them. JSOC operates exclusively under the orders of the President of the United States and the Secretary of Defense. What would mobilize this super army into combat? It certainly wouldn’t be some Muslim militants living in the desert 8,000 miles away, sleeping beside their camels and reading from the Quran.

The Hammer Is Cocked On Obama’s Martial Law Mandate

The real purpose of JSOC may be to deal with the millions of Americans who may revolt after years of suffering a sick economy and an onrushing calamitous financial crisis. Many Americans who were once blind can now see. They recognize that the emperor, Barack Obama, has no clothes. They know that the President ruefully ignores the Constitution.
To what extent will Obama and his ruling elite go? The only logical answer is that they will bring any force necessary to protect Obama’s vision of what America should be. The trigger will be a financial collapse, beginning with the Dow and ending with the dollar. It is already set in motion. Neither all of Obama’s horses nor all of Obama’s men can restore our financial system again.
Obama’s personal army already has preparations underway, as Global Research reported in October:
Reports are that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is engaged in a massive, covert military buildup. An article in the Associated Press in February confirmed an open purchase order by DHS for 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition. According to an op-ed in Forbes, that’s enough to sustain an Iraq-sized war for over twenty years. DHS has also acquired heavily armored tanks, which have been seen roaming the streets. Evidently somebody in government is expecting some serious civil unrest. The question is, why?

The answer is obvious. Only due to massive Federal spending and the infusion of trillions of fiat dollars by the Federal Reserve did the U.S. economy not collapse completely in 2009. But the Fed and the Federal government only bought themselves some time — enough time to recruit JSOC and provide military orders against Americans. If you think I am being outrageous, then consider recent history.
The BBC reported that “ex-Labour spin doctor” Damian McBride wrote in his book Power Trip that former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown had his hand next to the red phone ready to call out troops during the financial collapse in 2008. McBride, who was the special economic adviser to the prime minister, quoted brown as saying:
If the banks are shutting their doors, and the cash points aren’t working, and people go to Tesco and their cards aren’t being accepted, the whole thing will just explode.
If you can’t buy food or petrol or medicine for your kids, people will just start breaking the windows and helping themselves.
And as soon as people see that on TV, that’s the end, because everyone will think that’s OK now, that’s just what we all have to do. It’ll be anarchy. That’s what could happen tomorrow.
If a recent prime minister of Great Britain was ready to point bayonets at the people who elected him, then it stands to reason that Obama has already planned to do the same. It no longer seems a question of if, but rather how soon. How soon will it be before our troops are patrolling our streets?
In the wake of a stock market (that old exchange that underpins the banks and our monetary system) in its demise, I expect it will be sooner rather than later. How can an American President fail to warn of an economic impending disaster? The answer is he doesn’t want to trip the panic button, at least not until JSOC and other military and police forces are poised to respond.

Contingency Plans

When I was a teenager, my mother and I went to Ottawa, Canada, to visit my brother and his wife. My brother was an economist for the Bank of Canada. One night, at a small gathering, I was able to talk with a retired Canadian general who had been stationed at NORAD. He told me that the United States had a contingency plan to invade Canada. It seemed inconceivable to me, and I told him so. He said there were a great many contingency plans in Washington I would find even more inconceivable.
Now that I am some decades older, not much seems inconceivable. That the financial system is hanging by a thread is to me irrefutable. I’ve been at this game too long to not know better. It would be naïve to think Obama will not put troops on the ground near our homes.
The list of enemies of the state — most of them American — continues to grow. That is why billions of dollars — the real numbers are kept top secret — are pumped into the National Security Agency and JSOC every year. They have huge underground bunkers and satellites that fly constantly over us. Anyone who believes this spy and police apparatus exists to protect us should invest every cent he has in the Dow Jones industrial average. Perhaps the Dow will go above 20,000 this year. Then again, I might meet the Easter Bunny this spring.

The Dow Jones Debt Average Will Soon Crumble

I first started writing about the markets in 1981 when the Dow stood around 1,000. Today, it stands at nearly 16,000. Do most Americans feel 16 times wealthier than they did 33 years ago? For anyone other than a Wall Street financier, the answer is no. America’s bread-and-butter industries like steel and automobiles are a shadow of what they used to be. Unemployment levels that our President so often brags about are hinged on millions of Americans who have quit looking for work.
Since 1979, U.S. productivity has soared by 79 percent, while real wages have increased by only 8 percent. After you factor in the ultra-rich bankers on Wall Street and the Hollywood moguls on the West Coast, it’s apparent that real wages haven’t budged an inch in 35 years. What has changed from when I was young is a pyramid of debt and trillions of dollars injected over the past decade (especially over the past five years of the Obama Presidency). Under his leadership, America’s financial system is nothing more than cardboard. It supports shockingly overpriced stock market values, a dysfunctional banking system and a U.S. dollar that is on the brink. One whisper of wind will bring it tumbling into ruin.
This leaves us with the greatest challenges any generation of Americans has faced. Martial law will follow as surely as red, black and pale followed the white horse in the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.
