While Senator Harry Reid professes that he is running the Bundy cattle off of public land because it’s the right thing to do, evidence indicates that Dirty Harry might have a personal interest in seeing that the Bundy’s join the other 52 ranchers they’ve run out of business.
Parcels held by an entity, Reid Bunkerville, LLC, which is partially owned by the Nevada Senator are in close proximity to the Bundy ranch.
The parcels appear to be in the path of future development, which may even involve a freeway interchange and loop, all west of Bunkerville in the same general area as those “trespass cattle.”

That’s why the annual White House Correspondents’ dinner has assumed an outsized importance on the capitol social calendar and one of the reasons many locals are feeling let down by this year’s dearth of A-list actors and film figures.

According to the source, “there are way too many A-listers who have had pretty weird experiences at the dinner. A lot of the people who have gone say they’ll never do it again. It’s like the stars are animals in a cage. People go crazy when they see them. They act like a bunch of kids at the Kids’ Choice Awards.”
Publicists tell their clients that it’s OK to attend the dinner — especially if they want publicity for a project — but that they should be wary. This is a crowd that gropes and grabs. A few years ago, one drunken guest actually bared her breasts to Ben Affleck as he was walking to the men’s restroom. (That was the last time he attended the dinner.) And it’s not just the megastars who get the unwanted attention, which often comes from the correspondents’ dates.

Rep. Gowdy: 'I Have Evidence' of Benghazi Cover-Up

Rep. Trey Gowdy said Friday that he has evidence of a "systematic, intentional" effort by the Obama administration to withhold documents from Congress about the 2012 Benghazi attacks that killed four Americans.

"I have evidence that, not only are they hiding it, there's an intent to hide it," the South Carolina Republican told "On the Record With Greta Van Susteren" on Fox News. "I can't disclose that evidence yet, but I have evidence that there was a systematic, intentional decision to withhold certain documents from Congress — and we're just sick of it."

Scientists confirm existence of elusive 117th element

After four years of painstaking research, the discovery of the periodic table's 117th element has been confirmed. Element 117, otherwise known as ununseptium, was originally discovered back in 2010 by a group of American and Russian physicists with the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR). However, it has taken years for the discovery to be replicated by another independent team, which the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) requires. Now the element, with the approval of the IUPAC, can be named and added to the periodic table, extending our understanding of transuranium elements.

The newest instance of element 117 was created by a team at the GSI Helmholtz Center for Heavy Ion Research in Germany, whose findings were published in Physical Review Letters. Like the team at the JINR, the group managed to create the element by firing Calcium isotopes at radioactive Berkelium — which is no simple task. "Making element 117 is at the absolute boundary of what is possible right now," Professor David Hinde of the Australian National University told I Fucking Love Science. As with other transuranium elements, ununseptium is highly unstable, and has a brief half life of about 80 milliseconds. However, that's still longer than expected, suggesting that there may be an "island of stability" beyond element 118 where elements have half-lives of hours, days, or even years. With the confirmation of element 117 comes, according the paper's authors,"an important step towards the observation of even more long-lived nuclei of superheavy elements located on an 'island of stability.'"

Tina Brown to Hillary: Don't run for president

Over at The Daily Beast, that site's co-founder, Tina Brown, is urging Hillary Clinton to skip a presidential run — for her own good.
The argument seems to be that the actual job of the presidency isn't all it's cracked up to be (that's no doubt true for everyone who aspires to the office), and that — unlike candidates who might need a presidential run as a stepping stone — Hillary already enjoys the spoils of victory.
This is cynical in that it implies one runs for office based primarily on personal advancement (you know, as opposed to the notion that you actually want to do something for the American people) — but that's only one reason to despise this advice.
This relatively short column manages to be borderline offensive in multiple ways. First, consider this argument for why Hillary shouldn't run — that she wouldn't live long enough to really enjoy the post-presidency:

For Obama and Michelle it will be fantastic, because they are young enough to have a long, massive, wildly interesting presidential afterlife. While sitting presidents become more and more despised, ex-presidents become more and more popular. [The Daily Beast]

Second, consider this line, which some might perceive as a suggestion that Hillary ought to, I don't know, stay home and bake cookies:

Now that Chelsea is pregnant, and life for Hillary can get so deeply familial and pleasant, she can have her glory-filled post-presidency now, without actually having to deal with the miseries of the office itself. [The Daily Beast]

It's not clear to me why Brown decided to go in this direction, but it is feels like an example of concern trolling — a terrific way to bring up all of Hillary Clinton's weaknesses, while cloaking them in sincere concern for her best interest.

Venezuela's Latest Military Defector Puts the Focus on Civilian Deaths

Capitán Juan Carlos Caguaripano Scott, crisp in a military dress shirt, a clean white undershirt peeking through at his throat, sat square-shouldered in front of a Venezuelan flag and a plaque of the country’s war hero, Simón Bolívar. The captain of the Venezuelan National Guard placed both hands on the table and leaned forward toward the video camera. “I’ve been called to reflect, and I have been convinced of my duty as a humble Venezuelan. As a national guard member who loves this country and is worried about our future and our children,” he said, “there are sufficient reasons to break the silence.”

In the 12-minute video that went viral on social media soon after Scott posted it to YouTube (GOOG) on Apr. 29, he continued, “There are sufficient reasons to demand the resignation of the president, to free the political prisoners.” He accused the government of conducting “fratricidal war” and made a plea to the country’s generals. “Señores generales,” Scott said, “reflect, ask for forgiveness. We are in time to save the country. Tomorrow you yourselves could be victims.”

A military tribunal ordered Scott’s arrest on Thursday for his participation in a coup against President Nicolás Maduro, joining three generals from the air force and another captain of the national guard already accused of plotting against the state last month. The tribunal declared that Scott “operated in a clandestine plan” with the generals already arrested, as well as an individual operating under the pseudonym “El Llanero,” to “impede the army and disrupt the country’s peace.”

Last week the Supreme Tribunal of Justice ruled that the right to peaceful protest under the Venezuelan constitution isn’t absolute, effectively making the ongoing demonstrations illegal and justifying the use of violence by military forces. As protests—legal or not—haven’t stopped, government efforts to control the streets are provoking increasingly negative public reaction. Soldiers have purportedly fired shotguns loaded with rubber bullets at point-blank range, causing severe injuries, in addition to robbing, raping, and detaining protesters, who for their part have been using Molotov cocktails. The cases of alleged torture are mounting. When a 12-year-old was shot and severely wounded by the national guard on April 26, fresh riots broke out around the country.
As the civilian death toll during the weeks of civil unrest rises to 41, Maduro’s control of the country’s armed forces has become more crucial than ever. But in the past few weeks, more than 30 military officials have been detained and denounced as plotters against the government, although few have been as outspoken as Scott in his call to arms. General Ángel Vivas, the former head of the Defense Ministry who has been defying arrest since early February, has continued to speak out against Maduro’s regime. An active user of social media, Vivas has taken to using Zello, a smartphone radio app, to broadcast his opinions on the state of the country.

But defiance in Venezuela comes with its own risks. Eliécer Otaiza, the ex-chief of intelligence, was found on Thursday shot dead in his truck and left in a wooded area outside Caracas. The former head of security for Chávez, he was involved in the failed military coup in 1992. The authorities have officially declared it a robbery—and in a country with 25,000 homicides last year, it may very well have been random violence. But Maduro himself said during a ceremony for Otaiza that in the context of the protests, there was “no such thing as casual coincidences.”

Following General Vivas’s example, Scott’s outspoken defection may be a harbinger of wider military discontent, a dawning realization in the ranks of the military that even their privileged status is tenuous in the face of public discontent, signaling a reluctance to continue escalating the civilian violence. As higher-level military officials continue to be brought before tribunals, the question remains: How long can President Maduro preserve his hold on power?
 

Obama’s DOJ Wants To Openly Arrest Tea Party Leaders

There’s no questions at all whether or not leaders in Washington D.C. were a part of the IRS scandal that targeted conservative groups to put them under. However recently revealed emails show that Eric Holder’s Department of Justice also played a key role in the scandal. Not only did the Justice Department know about the targeting and not do anything to stop it from happening, but it also tried to assist in what was happening by arresting known conservative leaders on bogus charges. According to the Washington Examiner, Darrel Issa, who’s been leading the investigation into the IRS, is looking for more answers from the Obama administration regarding an email between an official with the DOJ and the former IRS official Lois Lerner. The email discussed potentially prosecuting conservative groups that had applied for tax-exempt status. The email from Richard Pilger, who’s the director of the Election Crimes Branch of the DOJ, said to Lerner “When you have a moment, will you call me? I’ve been asked to run something by you.”

According to the article, Pilger never actually said who had asked him to talk to Lerner, however “he wanted to know who at the IRS ‘DOJ folks could talk to’ about ways to target 501(c)(4) nonprofit groups that are heavily involved in politics and may be pushing the boundaries of the law with their political activity.” Issa believes that the email shows that the DOJ wanted to prosecute conservative groups that were engaging in perfectly legal activities as 501(c)(4) nonprofits, which was engaging in political speech. He has fired off a letter to Eric Holder asking him to provide any and all relevant documents pertaining to such prosecutions when the IRS was already targeting the groups, as well as allowing the House Oversight Committee to interview Pilger about the matter. Issa believes the timing is far too convenient for the type of communications Pilger was having with Lerner. “They show that the IRS and the Justice Department were actively considering efforts to target tax-exempt organizations just two days before Ms. Lerner’s public apology for the targeting.” Such information greatly diminishes the sincerity in Lerner’s apology and really calls to question Holder’s outrage when news first broke about the targeting, Issa also said. “These comments ring hollow in light of evidence that your subordinates apparently colluded with the IRS to target nonprofit groups less than a week before.”

As expected Peter Carr, a spokesman from the DOJ vehemently denied the allegations and said that the phone call between Lerner and Pilger took place after the “alleged misconduct” by the IRS. They also argued that there was no wrongdoing since the DOJ never actually pursued any charges. However an email from Lerner to Nikole Flax, who was the chief of staff to the acting commissioner of the IRS at the time, explained the context of her communications with Pilger and implicated a Democrat Senator as well. She said that Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) suggested that the DOJ “could piece together false statement cases about applicants who ‘lied’ on their 1024s – saying they weren’t planning on doing political activity, and then turning around and making large visible political expenditures.” So the question isn’t so much if the DOJ was involved or if the IRS targeted conservative groups, it’s when is Eric Holder going to be removed from his position, when is Lois Lerner going to jail, and when are heads going to start to roll for this and the many other scandals the most crooked administration in history is responsible for? The manner in which these people have brazenly disregarded our rights and abused their positions of authority should be enough to make anybody sick to their stomachs. Regardless if you’re liberal or conservative, such actions are deplorable and we all need to demand that everyone involved is held accountable, anything else is an injustice to our nation and its people. It’s apparent that these people could care less about their oaths they swore to uphold and protect our constitution. This is what happens when an inexperienced Chicago Senator gets elected president.

Christian Teenagers Crucified, Unborn Babies Hung From Trees in Syria...

A Croatian Catholic website reported the brutal deaths of two Christian teenagers who were crucified for refusing to convert to Islam along with countless other deaths by many Jihadists/extremist Muslim groups in Syria. 

Sister Raghida, former head of a Christian school in Damascus explained the horrific event. "Islam or death" was the choice given to many Christians in Syria on Tuesday during the height of the conflict in Syria. She said many Syrian Christians have been affected by the atrocities taking place in the Christian population of the Middle Eastern country, an area once known for the harmonious coexistence of Muslims and Christians.

According to Sister Raghida, the Muslims came to the two youths and said, "So you want to die as a teacher in whom you trust? Please choose: either to renounce (faith) or you will be crucified!"

The boys both refused to renounce faith in Jesus Christ and were martyred because of it. One of them was crucified in front of his father, who was then killed. The nun went on to tell the radio station that the Jihadists entered the city of Maaloula and started killing men, women, and children. According to her report, they killed and played football with the heads of those murdered. Sister Raghida also said the killers took pregnant women and pulled out the babies from their wombs and hung them from a tree by their umbilical cords.
The sister explained that the nearly two-thirds of Christians remaining in Syria are those who generally do not have the money to leave or were denied visas, as is the case with her family.

Nevertheless, the sister, as well as the remaining Syrian Christians, are staying strong throughout all of the hopelessness and despair.
She said after the massacre, "We celebrated Mass for the dead, and our prayer was even stronger... The Lord will not abandon us ... Our country will recover and our commitment to Christ will be even stronger!"

20 Million Out of Work Citizens and These RINOs Want to Import 12 Million More

A host of RINO House Republicans are starting to align themselves with their pro-amnesty, anti-citizen counterparts on the Democrat side of what they like to describe as “immigration reform.”
The first point that needs to be addressed, for the record, is that the Democrats have succeeded in mislabeling the debate. Reform implies a correction of what is lacking in something to improve it. There is no improvement being offered in this debate nor are there significant changes.
It is little more than the current law rewritten in virtually the same form, with a new name and 12 million more beneficiaries. It is an instant replay of the 1986 act, which is currently unenforced, presented in the same manner as Lyndon Johnson’s “Great Society” bag of giveaways.
That legislation, aimed primarily aimed at black Americans, still has them voting Democrat fifty years later.

For reasons that only the representatives and possibly some wealthy donors and lobbyists know, there are Republicans endorsing this new Democrat voter importation act.
A partial list of these anti-citizen Republican collaborators includes House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH), Eric Cantor (R-VA), Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA), Peter King (R-NY), Joe Barton (R-TX), Paul Ryan (R-WI), Jeff Denham (R-CA), and Mike Coffman (R-CO).  Of course there are others and more will surface after the primary risk is gone, relying upon the “lessor of two evils” factor to carry them to reelection.
The problem with that line of thinking is the difference between knowing your enemy and being betrayed by someone you thought you could trust.
We know the Democrats could not care less about American jobs or the middle class. On this as most other issues, they are the clearly defined enemy. Traitors within the ranks is a whole other, more disdainful and repugnant individual, and they should not rest comfortably thinking they can claim a lesser of two evils distinction.
As of March 31^st, the United States workforce stood at 145,742 million working, with a U-3 unemployment rate of 6.7% and reported 10,486 million people out of work.

That figure is regarded by many to be an understatement, as those who have been deemed chronically unemployed, part-time workers who want full time work, and those who have simply given up are not calculated into the totals.
The U-6 method of calculating unemployment numbers includes those individuals and the resulting unemployment rate is roughly double that which is generally touted, at 12.7% for March.
An estimate of the unemployed based upon the 12.7% rate works out to 19,876 million American citizens who can’t get a full time job.
Against that backdrop, we have these sellout Republicans wanting to give equal access to the few good jobs which might become available to border crashers that don’t respect our country enough to not violate our laws to get in, and continue to violate them every day they remain. Those who are working illegally are likely doing so with fraudulent documents, a felony which would have Americans locked in prison, but which is only winked at in the case of illegal aliens.

This is a major issue, not only will jobs that should have the names of American citizens attached to the paycheck be going to the wrong people, all of America will experience lower paying wages as the laws of supply and demand come to bear.
These people who don’t give a damn about their oath of office or the people they swore to represent, the American citizens, need to be among those who lose their jobs due to the ravages of this amnesty. It would be unconscionable for them to retain their positions while so many of us are struggling.
These peacocks in their pink ties obviously don’t care now,  but we can make them care a whole lot come November.

Is John Boehner Stupid, Bought, Or On The Other Side?

Something is wrong with the most powerful Republican in the United States Congress. Speaker of the House John Boehner is either stupid, bought and paid for by crony corporate interests, or he’s on the other side (a Democrat posing as a Republican). Because nothing else explains the news that the GOP intends to pass immigration reform (i.e. amnesty) this year.
You might be wondering how I know it’s “amnesty?” Because to pass it through Harry Reid’s Senate and to avoid a veto from President Obama, it must include some form of amnesty for illegal immigrants (i.e. future Democratic voters). Nothing could ever pass Harry Reid’s Senate that doesn’t include some form of amnesty, allowing Democrats to wear the crown of conquering heroes to the Latino community and therefore garner more votes for Team Obama in November.
Democrats are about to be crushed. They are drowning. They are desperate to shuffle the deck. Why would any sane GOP leader throw them a life preserver?
Chuck Schumer — the ultimate liberal — is winking and nodding on Sunday morning TV shows like it’s a done deal. Do you think he’s winking because he’s just agreed in the backroom to a deal that hurts Democratic voters? Do you think the President that has, for all intents and purposes halted deportations, would agree to any bill that sells illegal immigrants down the river? If you believe that, I have a bridge to sell you in… Mexico.

Now let’s examine why even discussing (let alone passing) any immigration bill is self-destructive, stupid and political suicide for Republicans.
First, Democrats are on the run. They are about to be destroyed in November. Every poll shows it. Every bit of common sense tells the same story. Every conversation with average middle class Americans proves it. Obamacare has ruined Obama and the Democratic Party. The latest poll shows Obama at 41 percent approval. There are literally no voters left to support Obama who aren’t being bribed with a government check. Just as I reported earlier this year, Obama’s support among the actual taxpayers, business owners and homeowners of America is darn close to zero.
Knowing this, why would the leader of Congressional Republicans want to change the conversation? Why would he want to let Obama off the hook? Why would he discuss anything but Obamacare for the next six months? Doesn’t Boehner want to win? When you’ve got the opposition on the run, why would you lift your boot off their neck? Makes me wonder which team he’s playing for? What about you?
Why wouldn’t any sane GOP leader keep talking Obamacare 24/7 for six months in a row, until the clock runs out? Millions have lost their coverage; millions more have had premiums raised; millions have lost their doctors; everyone that can think is steaming mad.
The vast majority of people who got free insurance from Obamacare are virtually 100 percent government-addicted, welfare-loving, food stamp-loving, dependent Democratic voters. Obama hasn’t picked up one vote. But he’s gotten millions of independents mad as a hornet’s nest.

To change the conversation now would be dereliction of duty. If this were the military, General Boehner would be relieved of his command and brought up on criminal charges. He is harming his own troops. He is purposely losing the war. He is pulling defeat from the jaws of victory. Who does that?
Secondly, my grandfather taught me about how to treat your loyal customers. He was a successful small business owner. He always said the key to success was “the customer is always right.” Why would Boehner poke a stick in the eyes of his best customers? Why would he mock conservatives? Why would he turn off his loyal conservative base now, on the precipice of a landslide in November? It defies logic.
Third and most importantly, if everyone “in the know” believes the GOP is on the verge of a massive landslide victory (and they are), why would you even think of negotiating an immigration reform bill now? Think about it. Now it’s a lose/lose. Obama and Reid hold all the cards. But starting in January of 2015, with a GOP Senate and House; and Obama an embarrassed, emasculated lame duck; the GOP would hold all the cards.
What Republican leader would be dumb enough to pass the bill now? Wait until 2015 and instead of begging for crumbs, the GOP is dictating the terms of Obama’s surrender. What sane leader would trade a win/win for a lose/lose scenario?

Into this situation steps John Boehner, leader of the party that practices shooting itself in the foot. Boehner is theoretically on our side, yet he wants to let Democrats off the hook for Obamacare; change the conversation to something divisive and controversial; demoralize and anger his own best customers; hand a moral victory to Obama; inspire the Democrats’ core voters; and negotiate from the worst possible position, instead of waiting just a few months to negotiate from the best possible position.
Does any of this make sense to you? So I ask you…
Is John Boehner stupid, bought and paid for, or on the other side? He’s either not thinking clearly, or he’s not on our side. No matter your answer, it’s now clear Boehner has to go.

Tennessee Imam Abu Ammaar Yasir Qadhi: “Jews and Christians are Filthy”

Memphis imam Abu Ammaar Yasir Qadhi, Dean of Academic Affairs at the Al-Maghrib Institute, is back in the news this week for a controversial video that he has made saying that Jews and Christians are filthy and that their lives and property can be taken in jihad by the Muslims.
The thing is, this video is nothing new. I reported at my website PamelaGeller.com about Qadhi's outrageous statements about jihad in July 2013, and about other vicious Islamic supremacist statements he made in August 2013. That was seven months ago. Why is Qadhi still an imam in good standing in Memphis? Why has he not been dismissed by the Al-Maghrib Institute, or by Rhodes College in Memphis, where he is an assistant professor of Religious Studies?

Qadhi quotes Muhammad saying: "I have been commanded to fight the people until they testify la illaha illa Allah [there is no god but Allah]." He also says: "The life and property of a mushrik [one who worships others besides Allah] holds no value in the state of jihad… which means if they don't say la illaha illa Allah, their lives and property are halal" — that is, they can lawfully be seized by Muslims.
Qadhi has an impressive Islamic academic record. According to his biography on the Rhodes College website, he "studied classical Islamic sciences at the University of Medina in Saudi Arabia. There, he completed his second Bachelors in Hadith Studies, and an M.A. in Islamic Theology." How could someone who has dedicated his life to studying Islam and has studied it at the city where Muhammad had his headquarters not be expressing what is mainstream Islamic belief? This may be why Muslims in Memphis and elsewhere in the U.S. have remained silent about his hateful statements: they know that Qadhi was just teaching basic Islam.

With Hands on Gun Bundy Militia Told #OathKeepers "I'm Gonna Kill You"

Oath Keepers Founder Stewart Rhodes put out a "Debriefing" video where they claim that the Bundy Militia put their hands on their guns and said "I'm gonna kill you."

STEVE: Well like I said there was quite a few people comin in ta CP in order ta get more information -- cuz we were tryin ta get em out.  A couple of trucks drove inta the yard -- uh -- guys started jumpin out and I could see right away when they were gettin out of the truck they were very agitated.  We had one of the men run out toward our car.  I was standing in front of one of our cars John Bidler, the Connecticut President was standing over by the driver's door -- the gentelman came and he - uh - all of the sudden the gentleman started runnin toward me and hit me right in the chest with his forearm and -- uh -- put me down.
RHODES: That was Jack, that's one of Jerry DeLamus' guys from New Hampshire. That's who did that.  Dropped you in the dirt right?
STEVE: He dropped me down and he immediately went to John Bidler and -- uh -- basically done the same -- he just physically threw him ta the ground.
RHODES:  So he came and forearmed you in the chest?

At timestamp 20:49 Stewart Rhodes says that Bundy's militia put their hand on their gun and said "I'm gonna kill you."

I'm sorry to cuss but that's what he said.  So they were being threatened.  Guys with hands on their guns threatening them.  That's why we told them [Steve & John] to get out of there.  We knew the situation was this close [signals an inch] from being a gun fight, right there inside the camp.

Then at Timestamp 37:28 Stewart Rhodes said a different Bundy Militia dude pulled an AR on another Oath Keeper and the Oath Keeper almost had to kill him.

RHODES:  ... and this is the tip of the iceberg of the cluster out there.  One of our guys from Montana, Rick Delap, who was there from the beginning he's been out there for 2 weeks in the dirt.  The day of this confrontation [with Steve & John Bidler] I come to find out he [Rick Delap] had to draw on somebody.  Two of the Mountain men guys came up to him -- were aggressing on him. Then one of them ran back to his vehicle and grabbed an AR and came back with an AR in his hand and Rick had to draw on him. And those two ran off.  That was this close [hand signals an inch] from Rick having to shoot that ding-a-ling.  If that guy had raised his barrel, Rick would have had no choice but to shoot him.

Keep in mind, the Bundy militia who are physically assaulting and drawing ARs and other weapons on the Oath Keepers are the same Bundy militia who Nevada Congressman, Rep. Steven Horsford (D-NV), was talking about when he contacted law enforcement saying supporters of rancher Cliven Bundy have set up checkpoints for drivers’ “residency” before letting them pass.<~ [oped this was debunked there is no evidence of this no pics nor videos substantiating this claim]
This video shows crimes are being committed on the Bundy Ranch and those crimes need to be investigated.  (Crime of: Assault and pointing weapons at people without being in self-defense)
I think this video should be sent to Senator Dean Heller and should be preserved as evidence to be given to Law Enforcement so that Law Enforcement can investigate and so they can do what they need to do to keep the residence of Bunkerville and the surrounding areas safe from these fly by night militias!

Islamic Extremists Now Crucifying People in Syria—and Tweeting Out the Pictures

The jihadist group so radical it got kicked out of al Qaeda has apparently hit a new and shocking low: It’s allegedly crucifying its enemies.

Public crucifixions are mostly ceremonial these days, staged rituals that some Christian communities enact as part of their Easter observance. But the real thing may be returning to Syria. Two men were reportedly crucified in Raqqa on Tuesday, their bloody corpses displayed in the center of a town controlled by the most severe of Syria’s Islamist factions.

Among the forms of slaughter that have become commonplace in Syria’s civil war, crucifixion may be no more brutal than barrel bombs or sarin gas attacks. But the revival of an ancient form of torture is one sign of what life is like under the rule of one of Syria’s powerful Islamist factions. And it’s an indication that, despite years of public hand-wringing in the West over Syria’s bloody and rapid decline, the country is continuing to plummet into new depths of the abyss.

Below the photo of a crucified body, the message on a jihadist Twitter account reads,  “One of 7 people executed by ISIS in Raqqa today on charges of planting IEDs,” or improvised explosive devices. The person behind the account, which is not being linked here to prevent driving traffic to a jihadist site, claims to be a member of the Islamic State in Iraq and the ash-Sham (ISIS), an Islamist group that was repudiated by al Qaeda in early 2014, in part for being so extremist that they became a “liability to the al-Qaeda brand,”  according to Aaron Zelin, a jihadi-watcher at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy.
The dead man in the photo hangs limply from a makeshift crucifix; blood stains the wooden plank to which his outstretched arms are bound. The black stripe of a blindfold covers his eyes. A young boy stands feet from the strung-up body, at the front of a crowd gathered around the cross.
Another photo of a different man’s crucifixion shows a similar scene. In that image too, a young boy stands only feet from a lifeless corpse bound to a cross and publicly displayed.

It’s unclear whether those killed belonged to pro-regime factions or were members of other anti-Assad Islamist groups that have been warring with ISIS for control in Syria.



The details surrounding the photos have not yet been verified but the founder of a group called “Raqqa is Being Slaughtered,” Abu Ibrahim Alrquaoui, claims that he was present at the crucifixions when they occurred and took the photos. Little is known about Alrquaoui.
Images of the crucifixion have been spreading over social media since Tuesday morning, pushed out both by anti-ISIS accounts to show the group’s brutality, and by proud members of ISIS who view the public crucifixions as a sign of their strength and an effective recruiting tool.

One jihadist twitter account commented on the crucifixion, ‘LOL become new false jesus.’ Another replied, “the spy next to him started urinating as soon as we tied him up.’

Congratulatory messages quickly appeared beneath the original tweet announcing the executions in Raqqa and displaying the crucifixion. Another jihadist Twitter account, fluent in both English and Internet-speak, responded to the photo with gloating congratulations and a quip about the image of the murdered man, “lol become new false jesus.” Egged on, the original poster replied “the spy next to him started urinating as soon as we tied him up, about 10 minutes after he was killed.”

Raqqa, where the crucifixions reportedly occurred, was the first Syrian province the Assad regime lost to the rebels when ISIS took control of the area in 2013. Since planting the black flag of extremist Islam, ISIS has placed Raqqa under its repressive rule. Earlier this year, the small Christian community remaining in Raqqa received an ultimatum from ISIS leaders demanding that they pay a tax and submit to a set of prescriptive rules in exchange for a guarantee of their safety. In an official statement ISIS claimed to have met with Raqqa’s Christian leaders and presented them with three choices: conversion to Islam, accepting the restrictions placed on them, or death.
The executions reported to have taken place on Tuesday were not the first crucifixions carried out by ISIS since it took control of Raqqa. They were only the first after this year’s Easter celebration. Last month, the group publicly crucified an accused thief.

The crucifixions appear to document ISIS’s barbaric idea of justice and the group’s use of terrorism, staging brutal symbolic acts of violence, to maintain the complete obedience of the populace under its rule. The crucifixions may be disturbing to Western eyes because of their Biblical resonance. But the gruesome scene may be even more symbolically potent to the Muslim residents of Raqqa as a message about what happens to those that ISIS judges against.
Any one individual victim’s death is final. But the image of bodies hanging on crosses in the center of town serves as ongoing reminder about ISIS’s power and a warning.

Earliest Jesus Depiction May Have Been Discovered In Ancient Egyptian Tomb

A team of Catalan archaeologists have discovered what they believe to be one of the earliest depictions of Jesus in an ancient tomb in Egypt.
The researchers uncovered an underground structure in a series of buried tombs that date to the 6th and 7th centuries. Among the Coptic, or early Christian, images painted on the walls was what lead researcher Josep Padró described as "the figure of a young man, with curly hair, dressed in a short tunic and with his hand raised as if giving a blessing."
"We could be dealing with a very early image of Jesus Christ," Padró told La Vanguardia.
Archaeologists believe the tomb belonged to a well-known writer and a family of priests in the ancient Egyptian city of Oxyrhynchus, according to The Local.
The researchers removed 45 tons of rock to access the tombs, which are situated among several sites Padró has been excavating for the last 20 years.
The drawing is under lockdown while researchers begin to translate the inscriptions surrounding it.

In 2011, archaeologists working near the Sea of Galilee discovered a 2,000-year-old booklet with what was then thought to be one of the earliest depictions of Jesus. The booklet reportedly bore the inscription ‘Saviour of Israel’ and was found in a cave in Jordan among other ancient artifacts.

And that is true. And that is why Oath Keepers is being kicked in the teeth by people purporting to be pillars of the patriot community. Justice will arise from the smoke of this obvious fray, and it won’t take very long. Oath Keepers would seriously like to thank Sheriff Mack and his CSPOA and Mike Vanderboegh and his national Three Percenters movement. 

But this advisory is not the place to develop themes which can reveal who and what is trying to sabotage the Bundy stand against federal land management. This advisory is just to let our members know that we’re all over this. Regarding your humble servant, I’ve been so heavily inundated with articles, videos, audio files, phone calls and emails – all relative to this affair – that I’ve been unable to even crystalize a simple concise report with which to update our people on what’s really been happening there at the ranch. I also have not been able to talk with Stewart to wish him a happy birthday. Stewart is traveling home to Montana with Renn and company so Stewart can be home with his family for his birthday. I shall get to other details as they can be assimilated – there is much material to share with our readers, and some of it is quite remarkable. Some follows in this advisory.

Bundy Ranch Advisory for April 29, 2014

Yes, it is true: Oath Keepers received a bizarre bit of leaked info which could not be verified but which also could not be ignored. Our contact is connected with the Department of Defense – or “was”. The info we received stated that Eric Holder of the Department of Justice had okayed a drone strike on the Bundy ranch near Bunkerville, Nevada, within a 48 hour period over the weekend of April 26/27, 2014.

That, fortunately, turned out to be “dis-info” – a false rumor. And though it came from a trusted source, Oath Keepers could neither prove nor disprove it. Oath Keepers is thankful that the rumor was false and no one got hurt. Oath Keepers also is aware that the source of that rumor requires debriefing, which would hopefully lead to the author of that operation. It was a directed attack on Oath Keepers to do several things including gaging our comms depth, our speed in Intel, and study how we responded. The project’s cheerleaders were already implanted in the militias operating on-site at the ranch, so that when Oath Keepers responded to the rumor new forces would be ready to pounce on Oath Keepers.

Oath Keepers is doing excellent work at the ranch. We are in touch with the family and they wish to continue working with us. Oath Keepers are encouraged to donate at our website or send checks directly to Cliven and Carol Bundy (* see below) 

This mis-info came from a trusted source, a former Special Forces soldier with significant connections inside DOD. Though the info was unbelievable, in the present climate generated by the BLM and Senator Harry Reid (who called the ranchers and their friends “domestic terrorists”), Oath Keepers decided that the info must be regarded as indicating that a drone attack was at least “possible”.

Knowing that this sort of info is at least bizarre, Stewart and our Board members who were there at the ranch finally, after painstakingly going over all possible angles, decided that this should be handled just as the authorities would handle a bomb threat at a school – evacuate the kids from the school immediately and then sift for the bomb, if indeed one turned out to exist there. Stewart knew this was a potential trap for Oath Keepers, but felt that he could not remain quiet about the info which had come to us. Better safe than sorry, in a nutshell, defines his thinking on this. Oath Keepers is tremendously happy that nothing happened and that this was a bad tip, a piece of “dis-info”, a “psy-op”.

On the basis of that, Oath Keepers alerted the Bundy ranch and all who were working there this past weekend. Oath Keepers advised people there to consider evacuation. Now we’re being attacked on many fronts in the backwash. 

Let’s take a moment to assess the psychological environment in which this rumor was active. The BLM had already accosted members of the Bundy ranch on the road, tackling a woman roughly, letting one of their combat dogs loose on Ammon Bundy (Cliven’s son), and tasing him in a confrontation brought about when armed fedgov troopss accompanied a BLM effort to round up the Bundys’ cattle and the Bundy family came out to protest. Ensuing days saw rising tensions and a build-up of troop levels by the BLM, which had finally amassed a veritable army which included S.W.A.T. and helmeted combat agents and snipers. The Bundy’s children could look up and see snipers aiming rifles at them from ridge-lines. There was much fear, much agitation, and much tense concern, as we might imagine each of us would feel if a federal agency sent troops into our own yard.

So that was the temperature on the ground leading into last weekend. But in the national political environment we saw a very damning picture presented by a Nevada Senator named Harry Reid. Senator Harry Reid greatly fueled the tensions nationwide, deliberately. Reid, as the whole world knows, publicly declared that the Bundy family and their neighbors and supporters were “domestic terrorists”. Yes, believe it or not, a sitting U.S. Senator actually said that. His statement is now coming home to roost. Here is why. 

All Oath Keepers know that President Obama signed into “law” the infamous NDAA-2012, which placed American citizens under military jurisdiction. Under the NDAA-2012 any American citizen may be picked up by the military and placed in custody under a military tribunal – without even being charged with a crime – and – without benefit of a lawyer – and – may be held indefinitely until the so-called “war on terror” is finally over, which some politicians have said could last a hundred years or more. We also know that the USA PATRIOT ACT of 2001 greatly released restrictions on government enforcement agents and permitted them to violate American citizens’ unalienable rights. We all know that the NSA is collecting all of our communications. We know that dissent against current policy in government is being targeted by government agencies including the IRS and DHS.

Additionally, our situation includes the observation that Americans now bear the brunt of more than 70,000 S.W.A.T. raids a year, mostly over victimless so-called “crimes” or just to serve warrants. Our police are being militarized and under the command of the US Department of Homeland Security are now in effect an extension of a standing army being readied to control mass dissent among the people. (See: NORTHCOM in Colorado, which is now home of the first US military deployment of combat troops on US soil. Worse, we note that federal agents are now militarized and are extensions of the military, same as are our local police. All are interfaced under DHS authority. We notice that the BLM placed combat troops online against the Bundy family, pointing military guns at our cowboy citizens in an unacceptable and unforgiveable portrait of enforced tyranny. The fedgov cannot take back the fact that they brought a ghastly army down to bear on an American ranching family and their friends. They did it. 

Further, we also know for fact that the President has a private, secret “kill list” of people his Administration may consider killing on sight, sans any due process, simply on the President’s word.

So all of that is in the picture here as we look at the “leak” which got everyone excited. Considering how bizarre that listing of government sins-against-the-people really is, it’s not such a far reach to understand why a threat of a war-on-terror-styled attack in retribution for the Bundy cowboy defeat of the BLM gov-thug soldiers earlier this month is not such a far-fetched idea after all. At the very least, and under current environment terms, letting people know the nature of the alleged threat was the right thing to do.

In the wake of this remarkable anomaly, I see that some so-called “patriots” have gone to exaggerated extents to attack Oath Keepers. The hysteria levels are up past flood-stage markings. We have people accusing Oath Keepers of many different offenses, including stealing money we collected for the Bundy family. Oath Keepers has resources and attorneys and a good name to protect. Regarding the money-related accusation, the Oath Keepers book-keeper just informed me that we have raised more than forty thousand dollars for the Bundy Ranch operation, and of that sum we have presented a check for $12,500.00 to the Bundy family – not cash, a check. All accounting will be available in coming weeks as receipts are collected, and our membership may know with confidence that full reckoning will be completed. Here is part of the statement I just got from our book-keeper: 

“Here are the things I know we bought, food, water, ice, clothing, tents, field equipment/supplies, port-o-potties and travel expenses for the OK BODs and anybody willing to take rotating shifts out at the Bundy Ranch. We also gave the Bundy’s $12,500.00 via a check, not cash.”

She told me that we’ve taken in more than forty thousand dollars.

Please allow me to explain something in better detail. First, Oath Keepers raised that money from sympathetic members and supporters. We are very proud of everyone who shouldered the cost of doing this at the Bundy Ranch. We presented the Bundys with the check for $12,500.00 without any stipulation – it is their money to do with as they choose, and we need no accounting from them regarding that money. We will be able to account for all monies we’ve taken in. Oath Keepers is grateful to every member and supporter who sent money to this project, and we stand honorably to account for that money.

Also regarding the money part of this operation: The following is a video showing part of what that money accomplished at the Bundy ranch. Oath Keepers has played a powerful role in how the public came to see the justice in Cliven Bundy’s battle for his State’s right to own and manage its own land. We work with People Against the NDAA, and we work with the Tenth Amendment Center, among other fine organizations including the Fully Informed Jury Association. 

We understand that the Bundy affair is classic and that Mr. Bundy himself is a patriarch of our American heritage and as such he is to be protected by the people at all costs. His vision is in harmony with that of the founders, and we all know it. When Oath Keepers brings in to the Bundy Ranch out-of-State legislators, and when CSPOA and Oath Keepers bring in men and women from our Peace Officer community to stand by Mr. Bundy, the power in the unique outreach style of Oath Keepers becomes clear. Chinese management of Nevada land is at the bottom of this, as Alex Jones exposed Senator Reid’s connections with a Chinese firm wanting to operate a solar energy farm on land related to the eco-plans for developing that site, which included moving a population of desert tortoise from that site to the area where Bundy’s cows graze – and that was a problem for EPA as well as the Endangered Species Act, which caused seriously-armed federal force to move in to make sure that the Bundy cattle were removed from the new home of the tortoise – correct me if I’m wrong. This is United Nations covert activity inside the United States and it involves the planet’s largest Communist nation, China. The Bundy connection connects also the relationship of the BLM to the Reid family. It is deep stuff. 

And that is why suddenly, as Oath Keepers is getting into gear to ramp up and build upon this defense of the people against the BLM’s tyrannical forces, and as we are making awesome strides, all hell suddenly breaks loose with the militias, who in a surprising twist of fate, have decided to destroy Oath Keepers at the same time we’re hit with a rumored leak about a drone attack being possible. Sheesh. The militias are being unruly about it, and somewhat rude, assuming that the word “rude” includes threatening to shoot Stewart or his officers in the back “for desertion” – if you can believe that. Some of the alleged militia leaders are threatening to accost Oath Keepers’ leadership if leadership step foot on the Bundy Ranch. That is fairly rude, but that has actually been said.

Other accusations bordering on the absurd are being passed around, and it appears to be a concerted or choreographed Internet activity as if designed by anyone wanting to discredit Oath Keepers. There are pieces to our puzzle which are not yet on the table, but it is obvious that somebody wants us shut down and will use what national media coverage exists to smear us to a progressive audience we would not otherwise know existed. 

A typical FBI psy-op would plant “leaders” in every militia they could infiltrate. What those sorts of FBI agents or surrogates do is always “handled”. Some of the purported “leaders” of the militia at the ranch are doing exactly what any agent provocateur would do after having infiltrated the militia and claimed a role in leadership. Did you notice the massive ego about who is going to command who? Did you notice the drama in the tendency to speak of Oath Keepers as if we were a militia, which we are not. These militia “leaders” would judge us by battlefield standards even though there has not been a “battlefield” since April 12, 2014? They would shoot us for desertion? Really? That is amazing, and is the kind of bumbling consciousness which a conditioned and programmed special warfare officer or a federal agent would offer if he had to think on his feet of a sudden.

I’ll confide something with you. Let us not be deceived about the real strength and power of the true American militia. Let us examine any militia which opposes the historic role of the Constitutional militia of the several States. Yesterday I had a longish phone conversation with Mike Vanderboegh, who was wanting to think-tank some stuff with me for concurrence in what we might do next to combat the idiocy being circulated presently. All you III%ers listen-up. As Mike and I were talking about the situation I said something to which he replied, “Well, how do we know that *they* are *the* militia of the people?” I pondered that and thanked him for bringing it up. 

We were suggesting that the FBI (and other related groups) firmly believes in creating its own opposition for purposes of controlling it from atop and within. The model is searchable online as “COINTELPRO”. The fedgov infiltrates all social and cultural segments of America’s population. It is best to presume that the militias across America are all infiltrated. If you want to see the leadership of the co-opted militias currently at the Bundy ranch, you will have to search for a video put out to smear Oath Keepers. The link I had last night (April 28, 2014), is now invalid. The video of a circle of men denouncing Oath Keepers and threatening Oath Keepers with being shot in the back as “deserters”, and accusing Oath Keepers of stealing from the Bundy family, will give you the true insight into the steroidal psycho-pathic dreamwish of little boys playing “Army” in the fields near the house forty and fifty years ago, who somehow retained that aloofness and swapped it for a job with a badge or uniform and a gun and a retirement plan that could be counted on, or worse, in some cases, self-proclaimed “officers” who never bothered to go into the military when they grew old enough to enlist, or never made the police force. If just one of those militia leaders’ personal scenarios, isolated into private little spheres of command and control as they may be, could be synthesized and condensed for distribution to the vast majority of thinking Americans – if these aberrations were not so sad, they would be funny, and I might have more to say to and about the mental states possessed by such “patriots” in coming times. But whatever the situation in anyone’s perception, Oath Keepers is not a militia and we do not take our marching orders from any militia. We merely support the idea of reinstating the Constitutional Militia of the several States as revealed by Dr. Edwin Vieira, Jr. 

This much is certain: The federal government has many agencies and contracting private-sector corps to which it can send requests for certain clandestine or covert actions in the public sector. All Oath Keepers officers are aware of that, and we stand strongly and without fear, to oppose the tyranny which has gripped our nation. In the face of personal hardship, discomfort, and deep-seated concerns about personal safety, our officers, myself included, actually live the fight for liberty every day. We have noticed that the more successful our mission becomes, the more flak is thrown at us. My comment today is, “When we look about, who today is tossing slings and arrows at Oath Keepers? To see who is trying to destroy Oath Keepers, we see those who make wild accusations, unfounded charges, and imaginary scenaric situations glossed over by their berserk egoism which presupposes that the rest of the world can’s see their motivation and their jealousy and their fear.

Know this. Oath Keepers has a contingent on the ground there right now working in an Oath Keepers-directed security op. I’m told my good friend from Kalispell, Montana, Brother Paul Stramer, is down there with equipment for comms at present. And Sheriff Mack sends me this word regarding the continuing stream of Sheriffs who will come to the ranch to stand with the Bundys:

BOMBSHELL! Newly Released Emails Reveal Obama Admin’s Reaction to Benghazi

Emails obtained by Judicial Watch have revealed that the top priority after the Benghazi terrorist attack was not national security nor was it ensuring a proper investigation into who orchestrated an attack on our consulate that left four Americans dead.

 

No, the priority of top advisors in the earliest days after the Benghazi attack was ensuring that President Obama “looked good” prior the 2012 election.

 

As part of a Freedom of Information Lawsuit, the Obama Administration released nearly 100 pages of documents to Judicial Watch, the government watchdog group, that shows that then-Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice was prompted to lie to the American people repeatedly during her round of appearances on morning talk shows where she pushed the narrative that a YouTube video was responsible for an impromptu protest in Benghazi that simply got out of hand. 

In reality, the terrorist attack on the consulate in Benghazi was an orchestrated attack- a fact that had been denied by the Obama Administration for weeks following the attack and Rice’s appearances.

 

Among the pages of documents was an email from Ben Rhodes, assistant to the president and deputy national security adviser for strategic communications, dated September 14^th, 2012. The email was sent to around a dozen members of the president’s top advisors and assistants with the subject: “RE: PREP Call with Susan: Saturday at 4:00 pm ET.”

 

The email enumerates the top priorities of these media appearances as being:  

To underscore that these protests are rooted in an Internet video, and not a broader failure of policy.”

 

and

 

“To reinforce the President and Administration’s strength and steadiness in dealing with difficult challenges.”  

Rhodes also wrote, 

“I think that people have come to trust that President Obama provides leadership that is steady and statesmanlike. There are always going to be challenges that emerge around the world, and time and again, he has shown that we can meet them.” 

Payton Knopf, the former deputy spokesman at the U.S. Mission to the United Nations also communicated in the released emails that the Benghazi attack was “complex,” but Rice still maintained her narrative that the Benghazi attack was “spontaneous.” 

Then-CIA Deputy Director Mike Morell is credited in the emails as being the person chiefly responsible for altering the talking points. An email notes, 

“The first draft apparently seemed unsuitable … because they seemed to encourage the reader to infer incorrectly that the CIA had warned about a specific attack on our embassy. Morell noted that these points were not good and he had taken a heavy hand to editing them. He noted that he would be happy to work with [then deputy chief of staff to Hillary Clinton] Jake Sullivan and Rhodes to develop appropriate talking points.”

Judicial Watch’s President Tom Fitton expressed outrage over the emails, noting that the emails appeared more in-line with a public relations strategy dedicated to damage control rather than dealing with the terrorist attack that killed Americans. 

“Now we know the Obama White House’s chief concern about the Benghazi attack was making sure that President Obama looked good,” Fitton said in a statement. “And these documents undermine the Obama administration’s narrative that it thought the Benghazi attack had something to do with protests or an Internet video.”

 

“Given the explosive material in these documents, it is no surprise that we had to go to federal court to pry them loose from the Obama State Department,” Fitton said. 

The Benghazi terrorist attack occurred as President Obama maintained a tight presidential race with Mitt Romney. By refocusing the narrative, the Obama Administration was able to largely downplay the significant impact of his administration’s weak foreign policy on American security abroad.

 

The released emails appear to confirm what the Tea Party and conservatives have long believed, that the Obama Administration has been infinitely more concerned with avoiding blame than ensuring this kind of tragedy doesn’t happen again or finding justice for the families of those ruthlessly murdered.
