L.A. school district is arguing in court for the same position that pedophiles hold.

The second largest public school district in the nation just argued in court that a 14-year-old girl is old enough to give consent for a sexual relationship with her math teacher. 14 years old. That’s a sum I simply cannot calculate.
From the L.A. Times:

L.A. Unified officials are coming under fire for allowing their attorneys to argue that a 14-year-old student was mature enough to consent to sex with her middle school math teacher.

The arguments were made in a civil case that was filed last year by the student, who was seeking financial compensation from the district. She said she suffered emotional trauma from a five-month sexual relationship nearly four years ago with her teacher at Edison Middle School in Los Angeles.

But the actions in the case, first reported by KPCC, were blasted by legal experts.

“The belief that middle school children can consent to sexual activity is something one would expect to hear from pedophile advocates, not the second-largest school district in the U.S.,” said [attorney] John Manly… 

I agree with Mr. Manly.

David M. Ring, an attorney who has specialized in sex abuse cases for 25 years, said he had never heard of anyone presenting the sexual history of a minor in court and called the action despicable. He also said that middle school students are incapable of consenting to sex with adults, especially with teachers and others who can exploit their positions of authority to manipulate them into such acts.

Activists outraged: Registration does lead to confiscation

Police in Buffalo, N.Y. are demonstrating what gun rights activists across the map have been saying for years – and gun prohibition lobbyists have been denying – about how registration leads to confiscation as they will reportedly begin confiscating guns legally owned by people who have recently passed away, according to a report yesterday on Fox News.

The report has outraged members of at least one popular firearms forum, Defensive Carry.com, along with the New York State Rifle & Pistol Association (NYSRPA). It is news that puts the lie to claims by anti-gunners that gun owners needn’t be concerned about gun registration. That potential is why many gun owners in Washington fought Initiative 594, the 18-page gun control measure that will expand the state’s pistol registry.

UPDATE: The Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms has weighed in, calling the effort “unconscionable.”
“This is the kind of behavior one might expect in a police state, but not the United States,” said CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb. “From now on, no gun control zealot will be able to dismiss and ridicule the concerns of law-abiding firearms owners that there is no reason to fear gun registration, no matter what form it takes. This explains why gun owners are opposed to registration and other forms of record-keeping and permit laws.

The seemingly ghoulish plan in Buffalo will send cops to the homes of grieving, law-abiding families – while criminals continue to commit crimes – to grab the guns of recently-departed firearms owners, the Fox story intimated. NYSRPA President Tom King told Fox News that the police have a little secret about these gun grabs: “They’re quick to say they’re going to take the guns. But they don’t tell you the law doesn't apply to long guns, or that these families can sell [their loved one's] pistol or apply to keep it.”

According to Fox News, “The state law says that if the permit holder dies, the estate has 15 days to dispose of the guns or turn them in to authorities, who can hold the weapons up to two years. LoHud.com reported that violation of the law by survivors is a misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in jail and a fine.”
Under I-594, someone who comes into possession of a handgun due to the death of the owner has 60 days to “either have lawfully transferred the pistol or must have contacted the department of licensing to notify the department that he or she has possession of the pistol and intends to retain possession of the pistol, in compliance with all federal and state laws.” Thus the state pistol registry is expanded, but so far, Washington does not have a law like New York’s, which has been around for some years.

Gun prohibitionists vowed on Nov. 5, the day after passing I-594, that it was just the proverbial “first step” and they had other things on their agenda. Such things as bans on so-called ‘assault weapons” and standard-capacity magazines, the erosion of state preemption and even a rollback on concealed pistol licensing to an arbitrary New York-style “may issue” rather than the state’s long-standing “shall issue” requirement have long been on the wish list.
It is no wonder that gun owners in Nevada are alarmed, and gearing up for a brutal fight following the delivery of more than 250,000 signatures on a petition calling for so-called “universal background checks” in the Silver State. That petition drive is supported by Michael Bloomberg’s Everytown for Gun Safety lobbying group.

Gun confiscations in Buffalo weren’t the only alarming news this week from Fox. On Wednesday, the network reported about Jack McCauley, now retired from the Maryland State Police, who contended in a court affidavit that the administration of anti-gun Gov. Martin O’Malley purposely misled the public about the state’s Firearms Safety Act of 2013.
According to the Fox report, McCauley, who served in the police firearms licensing division, was under political pressure not to answer questions about the Act’s effectiveness as a crime-prevention tool. He accused O’Malley’s office and the mainstream press of “intentionally lying to people,” and now he’s apparently trying to clear the record.
Omalley's would-be successor Anthony G. Brown was defeated Nov. 4 by Republican Larry Hogan. Maryland gun owners are hoping the law, which banned so-called “assault weapons” and placed new restrictions on handgun buyers in the state, gets reversed on Hogan's watch. That will be up to the legislature. A lawsuit to overturn the law was short-lived, so now the only option is repeal.

Following their Evergreen State victory, gun prohibitionists are ambitious. They already have a beachhead in Nevada, and are looking at other states to spread their brand of gun control. If rights activists hope to be successful, they must be willing to do more than exhibit righteously indignant chest thumping on Internet forums. Washington taught them that.

Did You Hear What RNC Chairman Reince Priebus Said?

       "It's unconstitutional, illegal... It is un-American for a president to try and do such a thing... We will do everything we can to make sure it doesn't happen... we can't allow it to happen and we won't let it happen. I don't know how to be any stronger than that. I'm telling you, everything we can do to stop it we will."

       Apparently some in the GOP caucus didn't get the message…

       But here's the ultimate irony... the sad truth of the matter is that it does NOT take Republicans doing "everything we can do to stop it." All it takes to stop Obama's unlawful amnesty decree is a few simple words.

       Senator Jeff Sessions has already laid out what needs to happen: "Here's how we can stop him: President Obama's executive amnesty will not be easy to execute. U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services will have to be ordered to redirect funds and personnel away from its statutorily mandated enforcement duties and towards processing applications, amnesty benefits, and employment authorizations for illegal immigrants and illegal overstays. It is a massive and expensive operation. It cannot be implemented if Congress simply includes routine language on any government funding bill prohibiting the expenditure of funds for this unlawful purpose."

       Simple, right? Apparently, not...

       Sessions again: "Yet reports have surfaced of plans to pass a long-term lame-duck spending bill through Harry Reid's Senate that contains no such prohibition. This would be unthinkable."

       But when it comes to the duplicity of our GOP Leaders, nothing is "unthinkable." The Weekly Standard confirms what Sessions is saying:

       "Rep. Matt Salmon of Arizona is pushing his Republican colleagues to try to block the president from using executive action on immigration, but his plan is likely to hit strong resistance from House leaders."

       "The federal government is currently funded through a continuing resolution that runs out at midnight on December 11. Salmon, echoing similar calls from Republican senators Jeff Sessions of Alabama and Mike Lee of Utah, proposes that Congress pass a bill that would fund the government until early next year. If the president moves ahead with his executive amnesty, the expiring continuing resolution would give Republicans an opportunity to block funding for the president's action after both houses of Congress are under Republicans' control."

       "But that plan has a tough road ahead. Republican leadership in the House is eager to pass a spending bill through the 2015 fiscal year before the start of the new Congress. Members from both parties on both sides of the Capitol began formally meeting last Tuesday to negotiate the details of an omnibus spending bill."

       You read that right. The GOP Leadership is "EAGER" to give Barak Obama the funds he needs to implement his unconstitutional and lawless amnesty decree... they're meeting behind closed doors at this very moment, and it's up to us to see to it that they don't get away with it.

Double-Speak, Double-Talk And GOP Gobbledygook...

       Some Republican Leaders have already tried to rationalize their plans to betray the American people.

       The Weekly Standard also reports that an aide to House Appropriations Chairman Hal Rogers says: "It is my chairman's strong view that we need to complete this critical appropriations work, which is already months behind schedule, in order to 'clear the decks' and get off to a running start in the next Congress, instead of getting bogged down in old work."

       House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy said: "Why put cliffs up that hold us back from doing bigger policy?"

       Now, if the above statements make no sense whatsoever to you, you're not alone... in truth, those statements make no sense.

       The American people gave Republicans a majority to stop Barack Obama, but Chairman Rogers is essentially saying that stopping Barack Obama constitutes "getting bogged down in old work," and McCarthy is essentially saying that stopping Barack Obama is a "cliff" that will hold the "GOP back from doing bigger policy?"

       How many times have we heard Republican Leaders say: Now is not a good time... we'll stop the radical Obama agenda later?

       Senator Sessions said it best: "Why would any member of Congress who opposes executive amnesty provide President Obama the funds to carry it out? A Republican majority must force congressional Democrats to answer this question through their votes."

       "We cannot surrender Congress' most powerful Constitutional tool before a single newly elected Republican is sworn-in. Acting in this manner would betray the very voters who gave us this majority before we’re even in possession of it."

Terrifying Video of College Students Revealing How Little they Know of American History Read

In a YouTube video posted at the end of October, PoliTech's Courtney Plunk went on the campus of Texas Tech University to see just how much the students there knew about American history. What she discovered was not only surprising, but downright shameful.
In the video titled "Politically Challenged" the following questions were asked:

• Who won the Civil War (that's the War of Northern Aggression for all my Southern
• brothers out there)?
• Who is our Vice President?
• Who did we gain our independence from? 

Of the answers given to the above questions (most of which were "I don't know"), only the first and second question got one correct answer each. These are college young people who are going into various professions from psychology to nursing. Yet, they don't know some basic, simple questions about their own history. 

 

 

 

However, you will be delighted to know that they did know what show Snookie is on and who Brad Pitt is married to.
One would think Texas Tech would be a little upset and one would be right. Sara Carden, senior public relations student at Texas Tech, wrote a letter to the editor of PoliTech chastising them for not properly representing the student population of Texas Tech nor the people in the video. She claimed, "It has been cut and edited to make Tech students as disengaged from current events as possible. Although PoliTech was trying to make a point about college students' lack of current interest in politics, they did so in an unethical and immoral way."
"As a self-proclaimed unbiased political organization, PoliTech does a great job of not showing all of the facts and only featuring their own side of the political awareness of Tech," she wrote. "PoliTech should release the rest of the footage from their student interviews. This will not completely repair the damage it has done to Tech's academic reputation, but it would restore the community's confidence in Texas Tech students and bring accountability and transparency to an organization with little support on Tech campus."

However, on the other side of the campus, John White, a columnist for the University's newspaper compared the video to Fox news' "'Watter's World,' in which correspondent Jesse Watters interviews random students on college campuses to 'expose' how little they know about current events. Most of the responses that are kept by the editors, of course, show the incorrect responses, because those are the ones that draw a reaction from the audience, not because of any malicious intent."
White said that while the video showed the students answering incorrectly or pausing on the questions asked, there were no incorrect answers or pausing when asked about pop culture. 

"…It is ridiculous to blame the video's creators for making the student body appear uneducated, assuming the video was not manipulated to change people's answers," he wrote. "If blame is to be assigned, it clearly should be to the ones who gave the incorrect answers. All the video's producers did was expose the truth, for which they should be commended." 

He added, "Likely, the reaction to the video is more widespread than even the producers could have expected or even hoped. But the reality is that their purpose was to make students realize how unaware their counterparts are of history and politics, and the video has definitely done that."
"That being said, at this point, there is not much the university can do in terms of making people learn this information prior to graduation. 12 hours of history and political science are already required of every Tech student," he continued. "These courses should more than cover these basic facts. Almost all high schools require basic history courses as well. The reality is that there's no acceptable excuse for graduating college without knowing the basics of U.S. history or even an inkling of current events."
White then concluded, "It is incumbent upon our generation to reverse this disturbing trend. In order to fulfill our responsibility as citizens, when making an informed decision at the polls or serving on a jury, it is crucial to understand our nation's history. It is our duty as Americans to take this responsibility seriously and ensure we are aware of the basic principles of liberty and the means by which they are safeguarded."

Plunk stood behind her video in a follow up to her critics. She stated, "Texas Tech University, and the majority of its students know, that this video is not a criticism of the school's academics, but instead a bold message to college students everywhere to be more politically involved. "

"We are confident that if we were to perform this same experiment in any other university in the nation, we would receive similar answers," she added.

"PoliTech and its members stand behind our video 100%, and we will continue to bring political awareness to Texas Tech and the community of Lubbock," Plunk declared.
I stand with them. There is no doubt that college students, as well as many working adults, know more about pop culture than they do their own founding documents or the current political landscape. If this video embarrasses students into learning more about what's more important, then I say it has done it's job. What say you?

 

Tone Deaf John McCain Attacks Ted Cruz in Liberal Magazine

The Republican Party won sweeping election victories just last week. The nation gave clear indication that it wishes to see a return to more conservative governance from our leaders, and the GOP now has an opportunity to take some momentum into the 2016 Presidential/National Elections.
Seems like the perfect time for the GOP to begin coming together in solidarity and working towards our conservative goals in Washington, D.C. doesn’t it? Apparently Senator John McCain (R-AZ) doesn’t think so. Apparently Senator McCain thinks now is a great time to do an interview with a liberal magazine and attack members of his own party.
Salon: You mention Sen. McConnell promising to make the trains run on time; I gather you don’t agree with the “Ted Cruz’s Senate” narrative? 

Senator John McCain: Oh, no. I was very pleased when one of the first things Mitch McConnell said yesterday was, “We’re not going to shut down the government again.” I think that you just saw a McCain-Graham injection into the United State Senate — Joni Ernst, comes from the military; Tom Cotton, comes from the military; Dan Sullivan, comes from the military … I’ve campaigned for literally every one of them and I have not seen any indication that they are of that desire for confrontation. And I was with most of them when they campaigned and said, “I’ll go to Washington and get things done.” 

Once again Senator McCain shows his absolute tone-deaf nature. Ted Cruz has energized the base over the last few years – personally driving much of the excitement around the country for the GOP. While McCain may be jealous about Cruz’s bona fides with the grassroots, ginning up Democrat opposition to Cruz is not the way to handle that animosity.
To make matters worse, this interview was conducted with Salon, the same magazine that just released an article attacking the military (and police) and laying waste to our history and tradition of honoring our service members for their service.

Why is that McCain seems to continually find himself as the darling of the liberal media? (Oh, except of course when he runs for President – then liberals hate him…)
Why doesn’t he do these interviews with conservative publications, websites and radio/TV shows? Would Rush, Mark Levin, Sean Hannity, Herman Cain or Erick Erickson let Senator McCain get away with hammering at Ted Cruz? No way.
McCain has plans to run for the Senate again in 2016; can we please agree together that we are going to demand a conservative alternative to him in the primary. It’s long past time for Senator McCain to ride off into the sunset.

Muslim Monsters Burn Christian Couple Alive

Last week while American Christians were heading to the polls to participate in the freedom that we enjoy here in the United States, two of our fellow Christian siblings were dying for their faith in Christ.
It seems that the story of Shahzad Masih and his wife Shama are very similar to the stories of other persecuted Christians in the Muslim world. He couple had run afoul of a local Muslim man to whom they owed money, and when this man saw his chance to for payback he took it.
Shahzad’s father recently died and so his wife collected some of his things and burned them before throwing the ashes in the garbage. Shahzad’s employer to whom they owed money charged that he had seen them burning the Koran and unless they paid him the money they owed - he would not let them go.

The news that a Koran had been desecrated (though seemingly false) traveled quickly to the local mosque and a mob soon arrived at the place where the couple ws being held. The mob forced their way into the room, violently beat the Masihs and then burned them alive in the furnace of a kiln.
The BBC was told by Pakistani security forces that they tried to save the couple “but they were outnumbered and attacked by the angry crowd.” 
The director of the Peace Center Lahore, Fr. James Channan, had much to say about this murder and the general persecuation faced by Christians in Pakistan.

“The burning alive of a Christian couple is a test case for our government. Our government must provide protection to all citizens and especially to the poor and downtrodden Christians. I demand from the government and law enforcing agencies of Pakistan that justice must be done and culprits must be punished.”
Fr. Channan lamented that the couple was burned to death “on mere accusation of burning some pages which contained come verses from the Holy Quran. I am 100 percent sure that it was not a deliberate act, if any from Shama. They would have not dared to do so knowing the consequences. It is a false accusation. To burn alive on mere accusation by a mob of fanatic Pakistani Muslims is a barbaric act in the modern age: I condemn it in the strongest words possible. It is worse when fanatics take these laws in their hands and beat or kill on simple accusations,” Fr. Channan said. “It has become a tool to persecute Christians and other minorities. Very often police does not provide protection to the accused due to the angry mob.” 

Fr. Channan added that the blasphemy laws have “made Christians vulnerable and insecure. The misuse of these laws is very common. Once a person is accused he or she cannot live in Pakistan, even if the court will set that person free. Therefore it is very important for the government of Pakistan to prevent the misuse these laws and punish those who falsely accuse.”
The priest said there is “a grave need to educate people to live in harmony, respect and not to take such laws in their own hands. Let the courts decide such cases without any pressure. I will be going to visit (Kot Radha Kishan) tomorrow (Wednesday) and will express solidarity with the grieving family and raise voice for speedy trial of those responsible for this barbaric act of murder.”
For their part it does seem like the Pakistani government is attempting to do something about the vicious killing. They’ve arrest 48 people they believe to be part of the attack and have established a committee to “fast track” the investigation. The local government has also added extra security in Christian neighborhoods throughout the province.

However, many similar cases have been judged before and more often than not the guilty parties go free with hardly more than a slap on the wrist. The problem for the Pakistani government is that punishing Muslims for doing something that their religion allows could create an uproar in the mostly Muslim nation. Also, there is a large and powerful “extremist” element within Pakistan and punishing Muslims for hurting Christians (who they believe to be inferior – or sub-human) could drive these “extremist” elements to riot, commit acts of terrorism or worse. 

Basically… don’t expect justice to be done here.
We at Eagle Rising weep with our brothers and sisters living under the torment of Islam. While we may enjoy the blessings of liberty afforded to us in the Unites States, many of our siblings are suffering harsh and terrible pain. We hurt with them, we bleed with them and one day we will rejoice with them… because they suffered well for our Lord and Savior.

The words “shameful” and “vulgar” were thrown around as social media networks lit up with outrage at Mr. Obama’s display.
“Obama do you want a Coke too while chewing gum while the Marseillaise is being played?” one tweet fumed, in reference to the president’s lack of respect for the French National anthem.

So one might think the president would be a little more careful about the international image he projects for the United States when appearing among world leaders at a highly publicized event. One might think….

I don’t use it; would never use it. But it has become astonishingly ubiquitous in modern American society.

According to a new data survey by social media analytics Web site Topsy.com, it will be used, either as ‘n****r’ or ‘n***a’, 500,000 times on Twitter today.

By comparison, the words ‘bro’ and ‘dude’ are only used 300,000 and 200,000 times per day.

These shocking statistics form part of a powerful study in today’s Washington Post.

Headlined ‘THE N-WORD’ – even the Post shies away from actually saying it – it concludes: ‘The slur has become more prevalent in American life, but remains as divisive and complicated as ever.’

Forget Congress! Liberal Groups Send Obama Executive Action ‘To-Do’ Lists

Dozens of liberal-leaning groups are lining up to demand President Obama take executive action on a wide range of regulations and reforms that have no chance of passing a Republican-led Congress next year.
For some groups, the lists are long and specific: A call by the Center for Progressive Reform to implement stricter smog rules, tougher food safety regulations and expanded federal oversight of streams and wetlands.
Dozens of Hispanic organizations, meanwhile, joined together a day after the election to demand in writing that Obama take executive action to legalize millions of immigrants now living in the United States.
Other groups are suddenly asking for new executive action to further raise the minimum wage and implement other workplace requirements aimed at raising the standard of living for low-wage workers.

A coalition of liberal lawmakers and advocacy groups on Monday plans to announce a “To-Do List” for Obama, which includes raising a $10.10 federal minimum wage that would be implemented in January.
“The president has two years left,” Paco Fabian, a spokesman for Good Jobs Nation, an advocacy group for low-wage federal contract workers, told the Washington Examiner. “He’s got a legacy to worry about. That could be a definite incentive for him to do this.”
More than 50 liberal groups that have sent similar post-election wish lists, hoping Obama will agree to their demands out of a desire to cement his legacy.

Liberals Say Honoring Soldiers is ‘Childish' and 'Frightening'

Salon writer and obviously unbalanced liberal, David Masciotra, recently wrote a piece that attacked the American tradition of supporting our military and our police as “a frightening cultural streak of nationalism, chauvinism, authoritarianism and totalitarianism.” 
Here is just a taste of what Masciotra believes…
Put a man in uniform, preferably a white man, give him a gun, and Americans will worship him. It is a particularly childish trait, of a childlike culture, that insists on anointing all active military members and police officers as “heroes.” The rhetorical sloppiness and intellectual shallowness of affixing such a reverent label to everyone in the military or law enforcement betrays a frightening cultural streak of nationalism, chauvinism, authoritarianism and totalitarianism, but it also makes honest and serious conversations necessary for the maintenance and enhancement of a fragile democracy nearly impossible….  

And so goes most of Masciotra’s pages long screed against our history of honoring our veterans and respecting those in authority. The folks at Fox and Friends had the requisite level of disdain and disgust for Masciotra’s article.

While Fox may have been upset, the piece caught fire across the Internet and caused outrage everywhere it went.

I don’t want to downplay how disgusting the entire Salon piece is… but I really don’t understand the outrage. This is exactly what most liberals believe and have believed for years. Sure, they play it off (and lie about it) in front of Middle American voters… but you all knew that they were just playing politics, right? This is like when President Obama was pretending to be against gay marriage because he had to be against gay marriage. Everyone knew that he was actually okay with it… he just couldn’t admit it to America or he wouldn’t have been elected. This is the same thing.

Most liberals, most Democrats hate the military, hate the police and hate the conservatives who teach their kids that these two groups should be respected. Why any soldier or any police officer ever votes Democrat is beyond me.
By the way, today is Veterans Day and yes, that Salon anti-soldier hit piece was very poorly timed as well as very poorly reasoned.

Sheriffs Plan Massive Opposition to Obama’s Executive Amnesty in Washington

In light of Barack Obama's defiance to institute amnesty to tens of millions of illegal aliens in America, following his public spanking on Tuesday, constitutional sheriffs from across America are planning a massive meeting in Washington to oppose his usurpation of power.  
Bristol County Sheriff Thomas M. Hodgson sent out a letter recently which called on sheriffs to descend on Washington on December 10 to meet with congressmen and encourage them to secure the border and oppose Obama's executive action regarding amnesty. The meeting will occur just days before the existing government funding bill expires.

"Never before in our nation's history has it been so important for the American sheriffs to stand united and speak with one voice to secure our nation's borders," Hodgson wrote. "No longer can we sit idle while the inaction of our Federal Government marginalizes our ability to preserve public safety, enforce our laws, and protect the Constitutional rights of all who legitimately reside and work in our communities."
"As a fellow Sheriff, and someone who shares a common mission and obligation to defend the public safety and national security concerns of our citizens, I am respectfully asking that you join me and our brother and sister Sheriffs on December 10, 2014 in [sic] at the United States Capitol to encourage immediate action by Congress and the Administration to pass legislation that will secure border security once and for all," he added.

Hodgson said that he already had the support of members of Congress, as well as several senators.
"Senator Jeff Sessions, Senator David Vitter and other members of Congress have agreed to join us at the Capitol to demand immediate action to secure our borders as the first step in achieving legitimate immigration reform in the future," he wrote. "Several sheriffs have agreed to work in a spirit of cooperation to assist in recruiting at least 200 sheriffs to travel to Washington, D.C. for this historic meeting and press conference with members of Congress.

Sheriff Hodgson told National Review Online, "I think by the sheriffs going there in big numbers, it places an incredible amount of emphasis on the most important thing that is impacting us in the biggest way in our country across every spectrum of our society, from medical to economics to safety and national security, and that is secure the borders. We don't need people to sit down there in Washington and sort of intellectualize what they think is the right thing to do without listening to the people who are dealing with these problems day-in and day-out and know the problems intimately."
The Massachusetts sheriff believes that the meeting will motivate citizens to rally around the sheriffs to address the "significant threat to the welfare and safety of our American people and legal residents."

He wrote that the policies of the Obama administration, which have encouraged illegal immigration, "have created serious threats to our domestic and national security."
"The citizens of our nation are counting on the American Sheriffs to fulfill our oath to preserve law and order and live up to our responsibilities as guardians of the United States Constitution," he exhorted. "Given the fact that 25 people in the United States are killed each day by illegal immigrants, and our schools are becoming overcrowded and more costly, our public health is threatened by new diseases and ailments introduced by people living in our communities illegally, and the fact that benefits are being given and violations of laws forgiven for a select group of non-citizenss, makes clear our obligation to act now before we erode the confidence and faith citizens have in Sheriffs across the country and throughout our history."

Hodgson also told NRO that US sheriffs are "sick and tired of being marginalized in our ability to protect our citizens. We want the border secured. And until you do that, until you secure these borders, which you've been telling us since Day One, you will never ever have legitimate, comprehensive immigration reform."
Constitutional sheriffs are the last line of defense against a tyrannical government and as we have seen many sheriffs stand against the Obama administration's push for more unconstitutional gun legislation and against Islamic State threats, we now see them beginning to take a stand against their illegal policies regarding immigration. Take the time to call your sheriff and encourage him to attend in December. Let's show them that we support upholding the law of the land and are behind them in their efforts.
