"Idiot Jihad" *Wild Bill*

Terrorists are thrilled when they can get foolish Americans to continue a jihad attack by claiming the USA and Israel bombed themselves.

dog rape sweeping America
by:

There seems to be a very disturbing rise in the rate of dog rape across America. We hear a lot in the alternative press about such issues as the new knock out game for degenerative black youth, but we are hearing very little about the massive spread of dog rape by sickos of all ages and across all ethnic ranges.
A man in California, 22 year old Christopher Alexander Caceres, was caught on surveillance camera last month drugging and raping a neighbor’s dog. The dog owner said that their dog had been acting differently of late, and another neighbor reported hearing the dog make strange sounds and shrieks in the middle of the night. The dog’s owner had found a cell phone and a lighter in their yard and decided to install a security camera. The scene the camera later caught is one of the most disturbing tales you’ll ever here.

Mail Online reports:
Footage shows the suspect stroll into the backyard and feed something to the dog. Normally prone to barking at strangers, the dog was happy to see the man, a sign she knew him, he told the Beacon.
‘He had done this before, it definitely wasn’t the first time,’ he lamented.
Soon after, the degenerate emerges pants-less from a dark corner of the backyard, pins the poor pooch to the ground and has marathon sex with the animal – for almost two hours until nearly 4am, said reports.
The dog tried to break free, but was repeatedly assaulted by the disgusting individual.

caught on cctv raping dog

This incident happened in San Pedro, California and the dog rapist was arrested and held on $50,000 bond.
On the opposite seaboard of California, showing that this disgusting trend of dog rape is sweeping the nation, a 25 year old man, David Lee Carter, of Benson, North Carolina was also arrested in November for raping a dog, and he did so in front of an under age child.
The search warrants in this case, which were obtained by ABC11 said that Carter “willfully and feloniously did commit the abominable and detestable crime against nature with a male canine, family pet named ‘Drake’, (one and half year old Boxer.)”
Finding such disturbing stories had me do further  research only to find that dog rape was common in November in parts of Europe as well. A woman in Berlin last month had tied her dog up outside of a store before going in to do her shopping and it was kidnapped and raped by a gang of thieves. She recovered her dog a couple of days later after an animal shelter phoned her to let her know they had her dog. It was suffering from several internal injuries.

Intelligence Agency Reminds Americans With In Your Face Logo: NOTHING IS BEYOND OUR REACH

Intelligence Agency Reminds Americans With In Your Face Logo: NOTHING IS BEYOND OUR REACH
by
Given that Americans are overwhelmingly concerned about the Federal government’s surveillance efforts in the wake of leaks providing evidence that the National Security Agency has abused its powers and routinely disregarded privacy protections, officials at the U.S. National Reconnaissance Office appear oblivious of current events or are simply unconcerned about the image they present to the American people.
A spy satellite named NROL-39, launched by the office Thursday night, features a new logo portraying a sinister-looking octopus wrapping its tentacles around the globe. A tagline at the bottom of the logo informs: “NOTHING IS BEYOND OUR REACH.”
After questions about the logo intended message arose, an agency spokesperson told Forbes that the logo was not meant to have a sinister connotation.

“NROL-39 is represented by the octopus, a versatile, adaptable, and highly intelligent creature. Emblematically, enemies of the United States can be reached no matter where they choose to hide,” said Karen Furgerson. “‘Nothing is beyond our reach’ defines this mission and the value it brings to our nation and the warfighters it supports, who serve valiantly all over the globe, protecting our nation.”
If you were hoping to find out for yourself if the NROL-39 mission comes with any privacy concerns rather than taking NRO’s word, however, you are out of luck. The mission, like most all of the agency’s undertakings, is classified.
Nasaspaceflight.com reports that launch trajectory suggests NROL-39 is likely carrying a secretive payload that includes satellite for the agency’s radar reconnaissance fleet and a number of “nanosatellites” for scientific missions.
American Civil Liberties Union chief technologist Chris Soghoian offered the agency a bit of unsolicited advice via Twitter Thursday:

Conversely, such in-your-face reminders of the government’s surveillance-state mentality may be just what the American public needs to maintain vigorous opposition to the government’s abrogation of privacy.

PATRIOT Act Author: Jail Intelligence Directors Who Lied About Surveillance On Americans

by
Representative James Sensenbrenner (R-Wis.), chairman of the House Judiciary, believes that Intelligence officials who lied to Congress about government spying during Congressional inquiry in March should be prosecuted.
Sensenbrenner was the original author of the PATRIOT Act, which opened the door for many of the surveillance abuses that the government carries out today. But recently the lawmaker has spent a great deal of time speaking out against the government’s surveillance efforts.
In an interview with The Hill this week, the lawmaker referenced Director of National Intelligence James Clapper’s “not wittingly” answer to lawmakers when asked in the NSA spies on Americans.  Clapper later described his response as the “least untruthful” answer he could give.
“Lying to Congress is a federal offense, and Clapper ought to be fired and prosecuted for it,” the Wisconsin Republican said in an interview.
The lawmaker went on to note that Congress depends on accurate testimony in order to legislate. Furthermore, Sensenbrenner noted, Clappers position in government doesn’t give him the right to break the law.

“The only way laws are effective is if they’re enforced,” Sensenbrenner said. “If it’s a criminal offense — and I believe Mr. Clapper has committed a criminal offense — then the Justice Department ought to do its job.”
The lawmaker suggested that intelligence agencies with more concern for public privacy would exist under civilian leadership.
“The successor of both Clapper and [NSA Director Keith] Alexander ought to be civilians,” Sensenbrenner said.
“I think that civilians would be able to have a better balance in seeing the distinction between security and civil liberties.”
The lawmaker is currently backing the USA Freedom Act, which would place major limitations on government surveillance power.

Congress Fears Out of Control Obama Could Suspend Election Laws

by: Anthony Gucciardi
From DHS enacting ‘Constitution-free zones‘, to executive orders taking over all forms of communication authority within the United States — the Obama Administration has already gone far beyond corruption and deception and into an entirely new level of dictatorial control. And now, even leading congressional officials are openly questioning how truly tyrannical Obama’s next move may be.
Always operating with a straight face while trampling all over the Constitution, it seems Obama has no remorse when it comes to going against the people of the United States and its legal system as a whole. We all remember when Obama began issuing calls to attack Syria following a very sketchy chemical attack scenario, only to be met with fierce opposition. Ultimately, we did force Obama to back off amid complete and utter disapproval, but now even high level congressional officials are concerned as to what Obama’s next move will be.
Specifically, Rep. Trey Gowdy from South Carolina has now publicly raised fears that Obama could go ahead and suspend election laws in order to maintain control of the presidency. Gowdy says that since Obama has already decided to overturn the standing law on illegal immigrants, effectively declaring that the law no longer applies to them without any congressional backing, then what is to stop him from failing to enforce election laws? During  a recorded a House Judiciary Committee hearing, Gowdy asked:
“If the president can fail to enforce immigration laws, can the president likewise fail to enforce election laws?”

And he is asking a valid question, though it’s essential to understand that Obama and his administration have already gone above and beyond the already unprecedented levels of tyranny set by the Bush administration with legislation like the Patriot Act. Now, we must understand that Obama is getting away with completely stepping over the Constitution and the overall foundation of the United States — and it’s time we raise that message loud and clear.

The Obamacare Train’s Final Destination

by
In its heyday, Cunard cruise lines used the tagline, “Getting there is half the fun.” It worked well because the “there” its ships were getting passengers to was a happy vacation in an attractive part of the world.
Now that Obamacare’s website repairs have “fixed” 90% of its problems, according to Barack Obama, we are to believe that getting to Obama’s promised land, “..is half the fun.”  But believing this means believing there is actually a desirable  “there” at the end of one’s Obamacare journey.  Clearly, a growing majority of Americans don’t believe this.
Like all liberal programs, Obamacare relies on keeping the masses ignorant of what its final results will be. Obamacare has been popular only with his ignorant masses. The less they knew about the program, the more these greedy idiots liked it, and the better chance it had of  pulling America down into a socialist gulag.

When it was launched on October 1st, Obamacare’s problems made it a laughing stock; but Obama’s ignorant faithful dismissed them as “glitches” caused by Republican sabotage.
Two months later, we are to believe that Obamacare is not a train to a national concentration camp because a few tweaks have given it the equivalent of comfortable seats and a small box lunch for its passengers. Those who are not part of Barack  Obama’s ignorant masses know the train is still roaring toward destruction, no matter how comfortable it has been made.
Thinking Americans know that the problem with Obamacare has never been its website. The website is merely the wrapper for a stinking pile of rotting fish.  Making it easier to fall prey to Obama’s schemes doesn’t change this.

It doesn’t change the fact that Obamacare will cause tens of millions of Americans to lose their health care and be forced onto Obama’s train to destruction. It doesn’t change the fact that Obama lied to us and is still lying to us as he goes about explaining how we can keep our plans and our doctors, how abortion isn’t funded by Obamacare, and how illegal aliens  aren’t given free coverage at our expense.
If they were really smart, the Democrats would sabotage Obamacare so that their ignorant masses will stop learning what is in it. Obamacare is really only popular with those who don’t know what’s in it, and those days are ending.

Chattanooga Choo Choo:

Beware the menace of unity

John Hayward
The House Judiciary Committee held hearings on Barack Obama’s abuse of power this week, leading to a good deal of dismissive commentary and general neglect from the media, because apparently it’s not even worth talking about the proper checks and balances of government power if you’re not ready to impeach the President as the grand finale.  It’s too bad more attention was not paid to the hearings, because there was much powerful criticism of the imperial presidency, not all of it from conservative Republicans.  Law professor Jonathan Turley of George Washington University warned that Obama has “become the very danger the Constitution was designed to avoid.”  That’s pretty heavy talk.
The arguments from Obama defenders were interesting, too, and I say that as a champion of the Old Republic who has more than a few reservations about where Emperor Palpatine is taking us, how much this sweet Death Star project is going to cost taxpayers, and why we’re still putting up with Hutt gangsters running our desert planets.  We heard much discussion of the popular will, and how it doesn’t make sense to hold elections that just result in gridlock.  People want Washington to Get Things Done, you know!  And if that means the President has to make a few end runs around the tar pits of Congress, and violate the letter of the Affordable Care Act to protect its spirit, so be it.  He’s the most powerful man in the world, the one and only public official everyone gets to vote for.

Democrats have generally made a big stink about how opposition to Obama’s agenda is “sabotage” or “treason,” even when the subject of that opposition is a bill absolutely no one in the GOP voted for, and whose failure they accurately predicted.  It’s supposedly their patriotic duty to step forward and fix ObamaCare anyway, because it represents the Will of the People, even though most of them hate it, and they dislike it more with every day of prolonged exposure.  We’re told the people approve of many of the stated goals of ObamaCare – insurance for everyone, nobody should be financially ruined by illness, 26-year-old “children” should be covered by Mom and Dad’s insurance, etc.  Therefore they support ObamaCare, even if 60 percent or more of them tell pollsters they don’t.  In the name of national unity, can’t we all come together and make the darn thing work?
This is where we run into an important sub-paragraph of the Left’s vow to execute the Will of the People: the People are short-sighted greedy dimwits who don’t really know what they want, so the highly educated power brokers of the Left have to figure it out, and take control of their lives to make utopia happen.  The Left tells the People what they really want, then gives it to them good and hard, concealing the true costs for as long as possible, until there’s no way the People can vote themselves off the path of virtue.

My advice to anyone who hears talk of “national unity” is to grab your wallet and run, as fast as you can.  There is no reason to expect anything approaching unanimous consensus on anything but a few core issues, most of which are nicely covered in the Constitution.  There are not many activist projects “everyone,” or even nearly everyone, energetically supports.  Therefore, there aren’t many things a lawful and humble federal government should be doing.  How does it make sense to seek, or demand, “unity” from a nation of 300 million diverse people, scattered across dramatically different regions?
One cannot help noticing that the quest to manufacture “unity” and consensus leads the Ruling Class to tell a lot of gigantic lies, and not just the patently obvious “if you like your plan, you can keep your plan” hoodwinks.  Nearly everything about our oh-so-”progressive” tax system is a lie, an illusion, designed to conceal the true cost of what government does.  The political class is never honest with us about the “problems” it means to solve, or how it plans to go about solving them, or what it will do when the solutions don’t work out.

It’s not surprising that we have a contentious Congress that bickers and argues a lot.  That’s their job.  The Founders were very concerned about “factions” seizing power and declaring themselves the authentic voice of the People.  The division of powers, and the machinery of political representation, was supposed to gum up the works.  The Senate was supposed to give state governments a voice in Washington, not serve as another instrument of popular “democracy.”  The tyranny of the majority was a danger forever on the Founders’ minds.  They certainly weren’t comfortable with the idea of an all-powerful capital city forcing 49 percent of the country to do what the other 51 percent thought best – never mind that it doesn’t take anything like 51 percent support for a canny politician supported by devoted voting blocs to declare himself the Voice of the People.

Break power down to the state level, and you give citizens an easy method for escaping from what they find intolerable.  But bring all discourse to Washington, settle everything at the federal level, use inescapable national power to force dissenters into compliance…. how can such a system avoid becoming tyrannical, even when the people running it have (or claim to have) the best intentions?  The essence of freedom is the ability to refuse, the right to say “no.”  The crusade to divine popular will, and command obedience in the name of unified purpose, inevitably tramples on that right.  We’re told that elections are the only check on power we require… by people who are confident that the work of the previous election winners can never be repealed.
There’s no reason to entertain anyone who claims to know what the American people want.  We are a nation of free individuals, not a collective hive.  We empower our federal government to secure individual, inalienable rights.  Everything else should involve the long, hard, but extremely rewarding process of persuading people to cooperate voluntarily, not defeating and subduing the minority in an election and spitting “I won” in their faces when they express reluctance to go along with the agenda of the victors.  But that’s the inevitable, dreary, oppressive result of every ideology that cooks up plans for the people to march in unison until they reach utopia.

Obama Offers The GOP Distractions

Funny-squirrel-Pic
streiff
The Democrat party is in disarray. It is led by a pathological liar who has no credibility with the nation or with anyone but the most mindless partisans in the media and Congress. As Obamacare continues to be a veritable Pandora’s Box of evils seemingly designed to drive insurance companies out of the business and strip most Americans of their health insurance, vulnerable Democrat officials are looking for ways to distance themselves from both the man and his plan. Louisiana Senatory Mary Landrieu found an urgent engagement elsewhere when Obama showed up to give a speech in New Orleans. Arkansas Senator Mark Pryor has been reduced to blaming Jesus for his Obamacare vote.
In face of this the Democrats have returned to their old standby: misrepresentation and diversion.

Some weeks ago I wrote about how the Democrats were attempting to use a three-pronged strategy. First, they were conflating Obamacare with the Healthcare.gov website (see Healthcare.gov: Beware the Shiny Object). Second, they intended to challenging us to “fix” it (See Obamacare and the Governing Trap). Third, they are attempting to change the national conversation from Obamacare to some other shiny object. The first strategy is deadly because even the feckless gits in the White House will eventually figure out how to get the Healthcare.gov website running. No matter that they are giving your personal information to the Russian Mob or anyone else with the ambition to crack their non-existent security protocols. The second is positively lethal because it would make the GOP complicit in the insurance meltdown and give the GOP a vested interest in saving Obamacare. The third is equally lethal in that it results in us fighting 2014 and 2016 on turf of the Democrats’ choosing, not the ground we wish to fight on.

With the dependability of a high quality chronometer Washington Post columnist Kathleen Parker weighed in yesterday on the subject. Apologies for the extended quote but there is a lot of good stuff in here.
As the government health-care Web site chugs along, the Obama administration has begun a counter-initiative to combat Republican naysaying — and its weapons are of superior grade.
[…]
Even if the president at times resemblesBaghdad Bob, the Iraqi spokesman who said everything’s fine here as U.S. bombs exploded in the background, Republicans are the shock-and-awe gang with no plan for the day after.
Democrats have targeted the GOP’s soft spot, which is a hard line on social services. Thus, when Republicans want to drastically cut food stamps, it is a piece of cake (and not the moldy sort Marie Antoinette suggested the peasants eat) to designate conservatives as cruel and heartless.
When Republicans say the health-care plan is doomed, a train wreck, a disaster, etc. — and offer no hopeful options — they appear to be rooting only for failure.
[…]

What Democrats know keenly — and Republicans seem never to learn — is that positive beats negative every time. Thus, we see MSNBC’s clever montage of Republican negativity: A series of unfriendly faces decrying the Affordable Care Act (ACA) with apocalyptic language. Which would any everyday American prefer? The healer or the doomsayer? The elves or the orcs?
[…]
Then what? What alternative solutions are Republicans hiding behind their backs?
Frank Macchiarola, former Republican staff director of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee (and my patient guide through the ACA) proposes in a commentary , co-written with Republican former senator Kay Bailey Hutchison of Texas, that the GOP lead with solutions rather than piling on criticism. The authors agree with Democrats’ goal to expand access to care, including to those with preexisting conditions. But the cure, they suggest, is in targeted policy solutions rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

Given the president’s low favorability rating these days — with 52 percent of voters saying they don’t trust him and 60 percent disapproving of his handling of health care, according to last month’s Quinnipiac poll — Democrats are scurrying to shift attention from Republican opportunity to the hope formula that worked so well in the past.
The same aspirational attitude could work for Republicans, too, if they can stop shaking their heads long enough. “No” gets you nothing but nothing — and gloating floats no boats.

This leave this for a moment and go to yet another utterly banal, lie-laced speech by Obama yesterday you see the strategy trotted out.
And that’s why, even as I will keep on offering my own ideas for expanding opportunity, I’ll also keep challenging and welcoming those who oppose my ideas to offer their own.  If Republicans have concrete plans that will actually reduce inequality, build the middle class, provide more ladders of opportunity to the poor, let’s hear them.  I want to know what they are.  If you don’t think we should raise the minimum wage, let’s hear your idea to increase people’s earnings.  If you don’t think every child should have access to preschool, tell us what you’d do differently to give them a better shot.

If you still don’t like Obamacare — and I know you don’t — (laughter) — even though it’s built on market-based ideas of choice and competition in the private sector, then you should explain how, exactly, you’d cut costs, and cover more people, and make insurance more secure.  You owe it to the American people to tell us what you are for, not just what you’re against.  (Applause.)  That way we can have a vigorous and meaningful debate.  That’s what the American people deserve.  That’s what the times demand.  It’s not enough anymore to just say we should just get our government out of the way and let the unfettered market take care of it — for our experience tells us that’s just not true.  (Applause.)

To underscore the futility of actually doing anything in regards to Obamacare, we have his vow to not repeal it.
“We’re not repealing it as long as I’m president,” said Obama, who was flanked by Americans who have benefited from aspects of the law. He said, “If I have to fight another three years to make sure that this law works, then that’s what I’ll do.”
So, really the only option he is offering the GOP is to work within a framework that is showing itself to be unworkable. This is not a good faith offer.
Back to the Parker article, I’m not sure why any sane person would want to be associated with anything produced by Kay Bailey Hutchinson or her hangers-on but is shows that there is a substantial portion of the GOP, mostly in the Senate, that is willing to go the Vichy route.

When it comes to Obamacare we can win by doing nothing but highlighting the way it is bringing fire and sword to the American economy. That the rent-seekers that helped craft this bill are being hit hardest is a feature not a bug. The worst thing we can do is to let attention lapse on the way this has hurt American families. We can do this with clean conscience because the only real solution is to repeal Obamacare and start from scratch. As repeal has been taken off the table there is nothing to talk about.
We can’t get sucked into other battles on social programs and we don’t have to. There is no reason why the House has to take up a minimum wage bill. Extended unemployment benefits sunset on December 31 and unless the House brings up the issue there is no reason to address it. Likewise with the food stamp program. Rather than get dragged into a no-win debate on food stamps, not that we shouldn’t have the debate but that we have to realize it is a fight that will result is a huge diversion of attention from the real prize, the House should take no action on the Farm Bill.

What we have to realize is that we are dealing with a president who is devoid of integrity or respect for the institutions of United States government. The same can been said for Senator Harry Reid. There is no way you can negotiate with such men. There is no way you can participate in governance with them. You can only oppose them.
The good news is that opposing them is easy. Obamacare will continue as a suppurating wound. Absent a thermonuclear war, Obama’s approval numbers will continue to slide. His lack of integrity is leaving him politically isolated.
Once we start floating alternatives or policies we are giving them a piñata to whack at. Our goal should be that Obama gets not a single piece of legislation approved before he leaves office.

Is the President Smoking Weed Again?

Erick Erickson
The President is either high or ignorant, though perhaps we should embrace the healing power of “and.” He posits that if the nation raises the minimum wage, there will be an economic boom.
Only in leftwing fantasy land and Das Kapital does such a concept even come close to being credible. What’s worse, via his twitter account his minion tweeted out an info graphic making the case. One can only assume this is why he does not want poor children in Louisiana to get a better education. If they did, they’d quickly realize the President is full of . . . choom maybe?
In the land of unicorn farts that powers the Obama Administration — that magical land where the bad thoughts of Republicans can obstruct Obamacare — diverting capital to mandated wage increases can cause an economic boom. But in reality, it does not work that way.
At the same time the President is pushing this, he is also speechifying against inequality. The media has gone gaga over his speech, but here too the President has shown a deep ignorance.

In his speech, the President said,
“A new study shows that disparities in education, mental health, obesity, absent fathers, isolation from church, isolation from community groups – these gaps are now as much about growing up rich or poor as they are about anything else. The gap in test scores between poor kids and wealthy kids is now nearly twice what it is between white kids and black kids. Kids with working-class parents are 10 times likelier than kids with middle- or upper-class parents to go through a time when their parents have no income. So the fact is this: The opportunity gap in America is now as much about class as it is about race, and that gap is growing.”

As Ben Domenech noted after the speech
Does the president really not realize that he has the causation here completely backwards? He’s spoken eloquently in the past about the dangerous decline of fatherhood among the working class. It’s not that being poor means you’ll have absentee parents, it’s that absentee parents – particularly absentee breadwinners – means you end up poor. Where the middle class and upper class are better insulated from the consequences of the economic pain that comes from family breakups, the poor are not.
Given this President’s position, he has been uniquely qualified to make the case in favor of stable two parent families. Without making that case and without changing the statistics, the long term ability to lift the poor to the middle class will fail. But the President, starting out exactly backwards, has no hope of getting it right.

Of course the President really does not hope to get it right. He is not even serious. These campaigns for an increased minimum wage, coordinated with union activists encouraging fast food workers to strike, along with calls to close the gap in income inequality through speeches, are just designed to turn the media’s attention away from Obamacare.
Make no mistake about it, the President has seen his polling. He wants to distance himself from Obamacare as quickly as he can. The media has just needed an excuse to help him. He is giving the media the excuse. That does not mean Republicans need to play along.
In fact, the GOP needs to point out how President Obama’s healthcare scheme is further exacerbating inequality in the country by creating a multitiered healthcare system where the outcomes depend on just how far removed you can get yourself from Barack Obama’s death panels.

Ben Stein on Obama: Should Be "Charged With Criminal Fraud"

Actor and author Ben Stein is the latest pundit to point out the Obama regime’s criminal behavior. Stein told the Cavuto panel yesterday if the administration were a bank they would be charged with criminal fraud for their repeated lies to the American public.
“The president lied to us about every aspect of this… I’m getting kind of sick of him saying he didn’t know what was in his own bill. He didn’t know what happened in Benghazi. He didn’t know what happened in the US. If he didn’t know what was in his own signature legislationhis own most important document, his own most important achievement, he should not be president
If this government were a bank, a large investment bank, it would be charged with criminal fraud for the lies Mr. Obama has told over and over again about this healthcare. Every single ‘scare’ that the Republicans said wasn’t scary enough.” [SOURCE]

The winter holidays are traditionally supposed to embody a certain ideal of that which is best in the hearts of human beings. As the world around us retreats into ice and snow and the Earth's northern cycle returns to death once again, the holidays represent a time of contemplation, as well as an opportunity to shine a light in an otherwise dark and dreary period. This heritage is as old as history, dating back to an era in which agriculture was paramount and men garnered far more respect for the tides of nature. The parallel relationship between social "renewal" and seasonal renewal has served the collective psyche of Western society, in my view, for the better. Unfortunately, this process has all but vanished today, twisted and mutilated into something sinister and poisonous.

Those of us who pay attention are well aware of a trend of cultural decline within our nation, and this problem is disturbingly visible from Thanksgiving to Christmas. It's not just the highly publicized Black Friday (now Black Thursday) riots over semi-cheap Chinese-made garbage.

Every year, we see this behavior, shake our heads in dismay and look forward to the beginning of January, when Americans go back to being only moderately disdainful toward each other. This time, however, instead of merely gawking in disbelief at the circus sideshow, I would like to challenge people to explore more deeply the true motivations of the mob itself, as well as the motivations of the elitists who manipulate the mob for their own purposes. Let's take a look at the fundamental dynamics of the psychology of mobs and the madness of crowds.

2015 Ford Mustang GT Reveal Shows 34 MPG EcoBoost, Compares To Corvette Stingray

The 2015 Ford Mustang GT reveal is also showing off a 4-cylinder engine option that is rumored to get in the ballpark of 34 MPG yet still output good horsepower. But who wins the 015 Ford Mustang vs 2014 Corvette Stingray battle over engine efficiency?
As previously reported by The Inquisitr, the manual edition of the 2014 Corvette Stingray gets an amazing 17/29 MPG even though it’s powered by a 455-hp 6.2-liter LT1 V-8 with 460 lb-ft of torque.
Ford executive vice president for global marketing Jim Farley announced the 2015 Ford Mustang in this fashion:
“We crafted this car with the goal of creating a contemporary interpretation of Mustang — an American icon that symbolizes optimism and freedom.”

And apparently part of that freedom is the ability to choose to not be a gas hog. But that’s not to say there won’t be power. The 2015 Ford Mustang GT engine is an upgraded 5.0 liter V8 that outputs 420 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque. The Ford Mustang 2015 also has a base model with a 3.7-liter V6 putting out 300 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque.
But the 2015 Ford Mustang EcoBoost option might be of interest to greenies and hipsters all over the world. This 2.3-liter V4 (yes, that’s right… a 4-cylinder in a Mustang) is turbocharged and manages to outperform the base model with 305 horsepower without shooting butterflies and rainbows out its exhaust (although, maybe Ford could make that an option).

The 2015 Ford Mustang is the first time Ford has put a four-cylinder performance engine in a Mustang since the ill-fated Mustang SVO model from the 1980s. Despite matching the V8 Mustangs for power, the Mustang SVO was a lot more expensive, and a four-cylinder muscle car was a hard sale. But now that gas prices are so darn high (despite the United States exporting more oil than Saudia Arabia as of this fall) some people might find this option much more palatable.
Earlier evaluations were rumored to claim the 2015 Ford Mustang as returning 34 MPG on the highway although Ford hasn’t submitted the new Mustang for its EPA rating quite yet. The 5.6-liter manual 2014 Mustang GT got 15/24 MPG so it’s possible a 2015 Ford Mustang vs 2014 Corvette Stingray battle over engine efficiency is likely to tip in favor of the Corvette unless Ford greatly improved the gas efficiency of the V8 engine in the 2015 Ford Mustang GT. But anyone interested in gas efficiency in a muscle car probably isn’t going to be flooring it or racing so the lesser powered EcoBoost Mustang is likely to be of great interest since there isn’t even a Stingray model that gets 30+ MPG.

What do you think about the 2015 Ford Mustang GT reveal?

The Fix Is In John Boehner/ Rebecca Tallent..!

[House Speaker John Boehner announced on Tuesday the hire of Rebecca Tallent, a top immigration policy aide who will advise the Speaker on the topic]

[Rebecca Tallent talked about what should be considered in immigration ...]
Erick Erickson
In case you missed it, John Boehner has hired Rebecca Tallent. Tallent worked for the left-of-center “Bipartisan Policy Center,” and is a serious amnesty advocate. She helped John McCain and Ted Kennedy during the Bush era on that disastrous plan.
Here’s what is going to happen.
Boehner will wait until 2014, after qualifying for all the serious challenges to incumbents is over. Then he’ll get all these Republicans talking out of both sides of their mouths and the Democrats together for a bipartisan immigration reform push. The threat of primary challenges well passed, they’ll get their amnesty deal done.
The only way conservatives can stop this from happening now is to line up primary challenges early. In Texas, the period to challenge ends very shortly. Same goes for other states. If conservatives do not find credible, quality challengers ASAP, we’ll see amnesty steam roll through once the threat of the primaries is passed.

The Republicans are so convinced you will turn out and vote for them in 2014 to spite Obama, they are perfectly happy to screw you over in this fight knowing how cheap a date the conservative movement has become.
BOHICA kids, BOHICA.

Wendy Davis Will Be Charitable With Your Tax Dollars

Erick Erickson
The problem with liberals is they always want to be charitable with your money and never with their own.
Wendy Davis has released her tax records. Turns out she’s only managed to fund about 2.7 abortions over the last three years. She’d rather use the power of the state to make you fund the abortions.
In all seriousness,
Davis’ adjusted gross income rose from $130,931 in 2010 to $235,428 in 2011 and $284,183 last year. She made roughly $12,000 to $14,000 a year from capital gains, mostly from the sale of mutual funds.
In 2010, Davis’ combined legal work brought in $126,043, then rose to $223,263 a year later before hitting $275,271 in 2012, according to figures filed under tax schedules for business and partnership income.
But then consider what she has given personally to charity.
Davis has made relatively modest contributions to charity. In 2010 she reported giving $2,700. She gave $515 in 2011 and $950 in 2012, the tax returns show.
This is a woman who refuses to provide the press a full list of her law firm’s “public-sector clients” as more and more evidence crops up she’s used her position in the state legislature to steer the public-sector to her office door. In fact, as the Texas Tribune notes, her legal work has gone from $126,043 to $275,271 over a three-year period. A good bit of that work could be from using her position in the legislature, which would give it the appearance of all sorts of conflicts of interest and kickbacks. Again, though, she refuses to provide a full list of public-sector clients. What’s she hiding?

What she is not hiding is that she is not a charitable person. She has demanded taxpayer dollars be used to fund her favorite causes, including aborting kids, but she herself refuses to put her personal dollars where her mouth and pink shoes are. Less than 1% of her income over the last three years — more like 0.6% of her income — has gone to charitable causes. But I’m sure she thinks happy thoughts toward charities. So typical of a liberal.
Attorney General Greg Abbott’s relatively paltry charitable giving generated a big news story. But Abbott still gave more than Davis. I wonder if the Dallas Morning News will write a story on Davis’s lack of charity or even investigate how many public sector clients her law firm has because of her position in the state legislature.
On Twitter earlier today, Wendy Davis tweeted, “As governor, I’ll always make investing in our Texas children my first priority.” Just remember, as a private citizen, she won’t invest in Texas children. But in the Cult of Wendy, all things are possible with your tax dollars — provided the kids are past 20 weeks.

White House Loses Leverage in Iran Talks

http://s2.freebeacon.com/up/2013/12/Iran-Negotiations.jpg
BY:

As the Obama administration works to finalize the details on an interim deal aimed at freezing Iran’s nuclear program, former top U.S. officials and lawmakers say that the White House has squandered all its leverage, leaving Iran in the driver’s seat.
After announcing that Iran and Western nations known as the P5+1 had reached an interim accord two weeks ago in Geneva, the White House admitted last week that the deal still needed to be finalized at a later date.
This admission was followed by the revelation that the Obama admission is now “prepared” to let Iran keep its contested uranium enrichment program under a final deal that has yet to even be negotiated with Tehran.
The diplomatic back-and-forth and willingness to make concession to Iran before it begins a six-month freeze of its nuclear program has lawmakers and top former U.S. officials concerned that Tehran has conned the West.

“I don’t think they [the White House] had much leverage to start with, and they’ve got less now,” former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton told the Washington Free Beacon.
Tehran would be required to temporarily halt some of its nuclear activities under the yet-to-be finalized deal. It would receive at least $7 billion in economic sanctions relief as well as the ability to continue some nuclear activities in exchange.
Bolton and others lambasted the agreement and accused the White House of capitulating on key nuclear thresholds before a final deal has even been brought to the bargaining table.
“Tehran can see just how desperate Obama is for a deal,” Bolton said. “The perception of weakness they see will cause them to go forward.”
“In fact, my view is that Iran isn’t going to stall or slow down” its nuclear work, he said. “Now, if I were Iran, I would press ahead and give more superficial concessions to get more sanctions relief.”

Iran has announced in recent days that it plans to build at least three new reactors with the help of the Russians. This would significantly boost its nuclear output.
These nuclear announcements have been accompanied by an uptick in military movement.
Iran’s elite Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed last week that it had mastered ballistic missile technology, which would allow it to potentially fire a nuclear payload over great distances.
Lawmakers and congressional insiders insist that the administration has ignored warning signs from Iran and plowed ahead with a deal that could end up benefiting Iran’s nuclear weapons program.
“What leverage does the U.S. have when the Obama administration is easing up on sanctions while a final agreement is still just a tiny speck on a far away horizon?” asked Rep. Peter Roskam (R., Ill.)

“The single most significant thing we can do to help stop a nuclear weapons capable Iran is to pass crippling new sanctions in the Senate and further tighten the vice, forcing Iran’s leadership to choose between abandoning this dangerous path or facing certain economic ruin,” Roskam told the Free Beacon.
The White House opposes these new sanctions and has reportedly been lobbying its allies on Capitol Hill to fight against them.
This anti-sanctions push has left congressional insiders with few options.
“Unless Israel is willing to strike, I think we need to start mentally preparing ourselves for a world with Iranian nuclear weapons,” said one senior congressional aide.
“Iran has played Obama like a violin—we’ve lost all our negotiating leverage and already publicly admitted that compliance with past [U.N.] Security Council resolutions are merely a maximalist negotiating position,” the source said.
Former Bush administration official Elliott Abrams said that as the White House fights against new sanctions, the Iranians “are acting boldly, like people who just won something.”

“The Iranian regime has been using its time announcing new reactors and new ‘red lines,’” said Abrams, who served as National Security Council (NSC) senior director for Near East and North African Affairs under Bush.
“And the White House seems concerned above all not to make [the Iranians] angry. It’s bizarre,” Adams said. “I mean, what would they do if they were angry—announce new reactors and new ‘red lines?’”
“The administration is much more concerned about the feelings of unelected officials in Tehran than those of elected officials in Washington,” he said.
The White House will likely forge ahead at this point and ink a deal with Iran, according to Bolton
“For them to turn their back on the interim deal, [to admit] that this was just smoke and mirrors by Iran, is not only admitting they made a mistake, it’s an admission that their fundamental ideological proclivity is wrong,” he said.

David Brog, executive director of the Christians United for Israel (CUFI), said that soft negotiations in Geneva has left Tehran with little fear of the West.
“In the past, Iran at least had the courtesy to deceive us about their nuclear intentions,” Brog said. “They no longer feel the need to do so. By agreeing to that deal in Geneva, we’ve not only released the economic pressure on Iran — we’ve shown our weak hand. Iran has nothing left to fear from us, they know it, and they’re acting accordingly.”

Is Obama Too Big To Jail?

by
Hello, I’m Wayne Allyn Root for Personal Liberty. A Chinese proverb says, “May you live in interesting times.” We certainly do. Historians will look back on this time as “the Obama criminal years.”
How lawless is the Barack Obama Administration? Many of the dirty deeds and scandals of Obama & Co. are public knowledge. Let’s start with the most astonishing.
Most citizens are aware that because of Obamacare, millions of Americans are losing their healthcare coverage. Is this incompetence or criminal fraud? One thing is certain: It would be fraud if a private-sector CEO knew that millions of customers would lose their insurance, yet repeated the same lie over and over: “If you like your health insurance, you can keep it. Period.” Why would we not hold a politician to the same standard?
That brings up the question: Is this President too big to jail?
But this fraud isn’t just about money and power. It’s about cancer patients, our fellow citizens, who may lose their lives as well as their healthcare coverage because of Obamacare.
Even innocent children with cancer are among the victims of Obamacare.
Yes, it turns out Obamacare is one big death panel. With their policies being canceled, these sick Americans are losing the very doctors, hospitals and treatments that have kept them alive. What if some of them die from the stoppage of treatment? What if some die from stress and worry? What if some commit suicide from depression? These are complicated questions. But isn’t the person whose lies and misrepresentations killed them responsible for their deaths?

So is this President too big to jail?
This President has no shame. How many Americans know that a cancer patient merely discussing the disastrous ramifications of Obamacare in public (thereby embarrassing Obama), is now being persecuted by the Internal Revenue Service? Yes, it’s true. Bill Elliott is that terminal cancer patient. He was audited by the IRS within days of a FOX News appearance.
The IRS scandal is far more widespread than the American public knows. It is not just about Tea Party groups. The IRS was used by Obama to go after any citizen daring to criticize him in the national media. I’m one of those victims. These actions by a President are absolutely criminal. Richard Nixon’s articles of impeachment included the same charge of using the IRS to punish critics and silence free speech. But terminal cancer patients?
Obama has sunk to new lows. I’m a big boy. What he did to critics like me is disgusting and un-American. But what he did to a terminal cancer patient is disgraceful and unimaginable. This President is an out-of-control bully, pure and simple. Will anyone show the courage to investigate and prosecute Obama?

Is this President too big to jail?
But wait (as late night infomercial pitchmen like to say); there’s more. When the citizens went to the “state-of-the-art” Obamacare website for help (to try to save themselves), they found it defective. It turns out the website was built so poorly, the personal information of consumers can be easily stolen. And it’s not just online scam artists we’re worried about. The Obama “navigators” themselves might do the stealing. After all, it turns out many of them have criminal records.
Rather than hiring one of many highly qualified American high-tech Internet companies, why would Obama give a no-bid contract for hundreds of millions of dollars to a firm with less than stellar credentials? Surely the reason couldn’t be that it’s the firm of one of Michelle Obama’s Princeton Black Alumni Association buddies? Don’t you wonder how many of those millions of taxpayer dollars are committed to Democrat causes or are now sitting in a Swiss bank account?
Can you imagine if this happened at a private-sector company? Can you imagine the outrage and criminal accusations coming from consumer protection advocates? Can you imagine how quickly the Federal government would shut down the business? The criminal would have been “perp walked” out of his office in front of waiting journalists and photographers. He’d be facing decades in prison.

So is this President too big to jail?
As bad as it is, Obamacare is just another of the nonstop scandals of this Administration. Any one of these scandals would have already forced a Republican President out of office. Obama owns all of them.
Benghazi: More absurd lies than Obamacare, a possible arms deal with rebels gone bad, and the cover-up of murder.
Fast and Furious: Another government arms deal gone bad, responsibility for the murder of a U.S. border guard, another blatant cover-up.
The National Security Agency scandal: Obama listens into all of our calls and communications. I hope he’s listening to mine. He’ll hear the word “impeachment” come up in every sentence.
The Associated Press scandal: Obama and paranoid buddies like Eric Holder are even illegally spying on their adoring Kool-Aid drinking friends in the media.
The IRS scandal: It’s not just about targeting his political opposition. It’s about the much more serious scandal of using the IRS to change the outcome of the election. Obama’s goal was to neutralize the powerful Tea Party groups to prevent a repeat of the 2010 GOP landslide. Guess what? It worked. Obama used the IRS to kill conservative momentum, intensity, and enthusiasm; silence criticism in the media; and starve conservative fundraising. These guys put the “thug” in Chicago.
The Census Bureau scandal: It appears government employees faked the unemployment numbers in the weeks leading up to the election to re-elect a President who wouldn’t know what a job looked like if it hit him in the face.

How could one leader be involved in this many lies, frauds, scandals and cover-ups? There’s enough here for a century of Presidents!
Forget impeachment; it’s time for criminal prosecution. There’s enough here to put any CEO away for multiple life sentences. Bernie Madoff would blush at what Obama has pulled off.
The question is: Is this President too big to jail?
I’m Wayne Allyn Root for Personal Liberty. See you next week. Same time, same place. God bless America. And always remember: In this great country, no one is above the law.

WATCH Obama’s Illegal Kenyan Uncle Gets Amnesty

A federal immigration judge ruled Tuesday that Barack Obama’s uncle, Onyango “Omar” Obama, may remain in the United States…

Q: Where do the IRS fines go for those who choose not to sign up for ACA/Obamacare??

Ok let's get real folks...where does this money go? into the general fund like Social Security and Medicare went? To fund more Socialist/Marxist [sneaky taxes] pork funding to bust our economy? You be the judge...demand that our media  'MSM' ask the real questions...and quit enabling the Obama Marxist agenda...that would be nice yes?

A taste of the horrible things to come for Windows XP

... mu taw chye taw nga ai Microsoft Windows XP logo hpe draw ai lam re

Windows XP is now more than 12 years old but according to data from Net Applications, it is still used on more than 31% of desktop and laptop computers around the world. Those tens of millions of PC users could be in for a very rude awakening next year once Microsoft cuts off support for the aged operating system. Microsoft itself even warned users of the imminent tsunami of viruses and other malware that will inevitably wash over XP stragglers once it stops issuing updates and fixes for the OS. Now, a recently discovered critical zero-day flaw has been acknowledged in a Microsoft support document that could cause serious problems for XP users.
“The vulnerability is an elevation of privilege vulnerability,” Microsoft said in a recent security advisory. “An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could run arbitrary code in kernel mode. An attacker could then install programs; view, change, or delete data; or create new accounts with full administrative rights.”
Microsoft confirmed that it is working on a fix for the flaw, but let this serve as a warning — after April 8th next year, critical flaws like this one (and worse) will go unfixed, thus leaving gaping holes in Windows XP that are just begging for malware to exploit them.

Americans Believe U.S. Has Lost Respect At Home And Abroad

by
The second-term slide of President Barack Obama continues to mirror that of his Republican predecessor. The latest parallel between the faltering Obama Administration and the rocky second term of George W. Bush comes courtesy of a new poll conducted by the Pew Research Center.
Released Tuesday, the poll finds a majority of Americans believe that, under Obama, the United States is experiencing a loss of international prestige that closely mimics a similar dip in confidence about America’s place in the world during Bush’s second term.
According to Pew, 70 percent of Americans believe the U.S. has lost the respect of the international community compared with its status a decade ago, a number nearly as high as the results of a similar poll conducted during the Bush era.

In addition, the poll shows that 53 percent of Americans think America’s role as a leader in world affairs has diminished over the last ten years. That’s the lowest statistical ebb of Americans’ confidence in their leaders’ diplomacy in three decades. And 56 percent of Americans said they disapprove of the diplomatic strategy of Obama in particular; 52 percent said they felt the U.S. should “mind its own business” in world affairs. By contrast, only 31 percent said the ongoing American presence in Afghanistan has made the U.S. safer from terrorist threats.
Check out a video synopsis of the poll’s key findings below.

Cato Representative Suggests That Obama’s Actions Could Spark Revolution

by
During a Congressional committee hearing Tuesday concerning Presidential powers and President Barack Obama’s failure to implement his “law of the land “Affordable Care Act as written, an expert from the Cato Institute said that the President’s flagrant disregard for the rule of law has the potential to spark an armed rebellion against the government.
Michael Cannon, Director of Cato’s Health Policy Studies, said that the President’s failure to adhere to laws could give American citizens justification to follow suit in seeking to improve government on their own terms.
“There is one last … thing to which the people can resort if the government does not respect the restraints that the Constitution places on the government,” Cannon told lawmakers. “Abraham Lincoln talked about our right to alter our government or our revolutionary right to overthrow it.
“…That is certainly something that no one wants to contemplate,” he continued. “…If the people come to believe that the government is no longer constrained by the laws then they will conclude that neither are they.
“That … is a very dangerous sort of thing for the President to do, to wantonly ignore the laws,” Cannon concluded, “to try to impose obligation upon people that the legislature did not approve.”

Can Age-Old Remedies Douse Inflammation And Turn Back The Clock?

Can Age-Old Remedies Douse Inflammation And Turn Back The Clock?
by
Inflammation is the root cause of wide-ranging medical problems, including the development of diseases ranging from cancer, diabetes and arthritis to neurodegenerative conditions and cardiovascular and pulmonary problems. It is also a key player in premature aging and early death.
“For thousands of years people used natural remedies to try — and sometimes succeed — in curing their ailments and preserving their youth,” said Professor Declan Naughton from Kingston University’s School of Life Sciences. “Now the latest research we have carried out suggests a number of naturally occurring substances may offer the hope of new treatments to block the progression of inflammation.”

The study builds on work undertaken by Naughton and Kingston University Ph.D. student Tamsyn Thring, along with the technical team from Neal’s Yard Remedies, a British beauty brand. They tested 21 plant extracts for evidence of their efficiency in fighting cancer and also in the battle against aging. Of the 21 extracts, three — white tea, witch hazel and rose — showed considerable potential because of their anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activity, with white tea displaying the most marked results.
“Indeed it appeared that drinking a simple cup of white tea might well help reduce an individual’s risk of cancer, rheumatoid arthritis or even just age-associated wrinkles,” Naughton said.

Obama Asks: Will You Shoot Americans?

Dr. Jim  Garrow was recently contacted by a high ranking military official who implored him to reveal the truth about a “litmus test” that is being proposed by the Obama administration to the military, asking the question “will you shoot Americans if they won’t give you their guns?”

Pope Francis, Jihad, and Moscow’s “Espionage Church”

Before Pope Francis created a controversy by denouncing “trickle-down” economics, the pro-growth policies associated with President Reagan, Russian President Vladimir Putin was visiting the Vatican and acting like a religious believer. Putin made the sign of the cross, gave the pope a Virgin Mary icon, and bent over to kiss it. The pope followed suit.
The Putin visit carries far more significance than a papal document which criticizes free markets and is considered a step toward the possible collaboration—or even merger—of the Roman Catholic Church and the Russian Orthodox Church in global affairs. Discussions between these churches are already taking place under the rubric of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity. The Russian Orthodox Church has been dominated by Putin’s old KGB and continues to serve the interests of the Kremlin.
The document, labeled an “apostolic exhortation” and titled “The Joy of the Gospel,” also purports to describe the nature of global Islam. But these comments, even more controversial than the statements attacking free markets, have been mostly ignored by the press.

Pope Francis insists, in the face of evidence to the contrary, that “Faced with disconcerting episodes of violent fundamentalism, our respect for true followers of Islam should lead us to avoid hateful generalizations, for authentic Islam and the proper reading of the Koran are opposed to every form of violence.”
Pamela Geller of Stop Islamization of Nations was greatly alarmed, writing, “At a time when Christianity worldwide is under siege by Islamic jihadists, the leader of the Catholic Church claims that the Koran teaches non-violence.” She adds, “Nothing will be gained by this refusal to face reality. Christians will still be slaughtered in the name of Islam and jihad all over the Muslim world. And now the Pope has forbidden Catholics to speak honestly about what is happening and why. It’s a disgrace.”
The papal document is addressed to Catholic bishops, clergy, and the lay faithful.

The Vatican’s dealings with Putin and the Russian Orthodox Church also deserve major media attention. David Satter, a former Moscow correspondent, says Patriarch Kirill, head of the Russian Orthodox Church, was exposed by material from the Soviet archives as a KGB agent. “This means he was more than just an informer, of whom there were millions in the Soviet Union. He was an active officer of the organization,” writes Satter.
Former KGB officer Konstantin Preobrazhensky has called the church “Putin’s Espionage Church,” and devotes a major portion of his book, KGB/FSB’s New Trojan Horse, to the topic. “During the Soviet period,” wrote Preobrazhensky, “the Moscow Patriarchate [of the Russian Orthodox Church] bishops were all KGB agents, and the highest of them were also members of the Communist Party.” The FSB is the successor to the KGB.
In connection with Putin’s visit to the Vatican, Lt. Gen. Ion Mihai Pacepa, who worked on KGB operations as head of Romanian intelligence, explains the background of what is coming to pass: “On December 5, 2008, Aleksi II, the fifteenth Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia and the primate of the Russian Orthodox Church, died. He had worked for the KGB under the codename ‘Drozdov’ and was awarded the KGB Certificate of Honor, as was revealed in a KGB archive accidentally left behind in Estonia when the Russians pulled out. For the first time in its history, Russia had the opportunity to conduct the democratic election of a new patriarch, but that was not to be.”

He goes on: “On January 27, 2009, the seven hundred Synod delegates assembled in Moscow were presented with a slate listing three candidates: Metropolitan Kirill of Smolensk (a secret member of the KGB codenamed ‘Mikhaylov’); Metropolitan Filaret of Minsk (who worked for the KGB under the codename ‘Ostrovsky’); and Metropolitan Kliment of Kaluga (who had the KGB codename ‘Topaz’).”
In the end, when the bells at Christ the Savior Cathedral tolled to announce that a new patriarch had been elected, Kirill proved to be the winner.
“Regardless of whether he was the best leader for his church, he certainly was in a better position to influence the religious world abroad than were the other candidates,” Pacepa explains. “In 1971, the KGB had sent Kirill to Geneva as a representative of the Russian Orthodox Church to that Soviet propaganda machine, the World Council of Churches (WCC). In 1975, the KGB infiltrated him into the Central Committee of the WCC, which had become a Kremlin pawn. In 1989 the KGB appointed him chairman of the Russian patriarchate’s foreign relations as well. He still held those positions when he was elected patriarch.”
Pacepa tells Accuracy in Media: “In his acceptance speech as the new patriarch, ‘Mikhaylov’ announced that he planned to take a trip to the Vatican in the near future. His boss went ahead, to prepare the way.”

Except for the Associated Press, the major U.S. media failed to report Putin’s display of religious piety at the Vatican, preferring to emphasize a matter of protocol—that he arrived at the Vatican late for his meeting with the pope. Perhaps the omission could be explained by the mystery associated with a former KGB officer from the Soviet era professing a belief in God. The odd spectacle just raised too many questions requiring too many complicated answers.
The AP said, “Russian President Vladimir Putin has shown off his religious side during a visit to the Vatican, stopping to cross himself and kiss an icon of the Madonna that he gave to Pope Francis.” It did not explore the issue of Putin’s sincerity.
Moscow-funded Russia Today (RT) television reported, in a matter-of-fact manner, that “Putin, an Orthodox Christian, has repeatedly said that he is a man of faith and his administration has consistently sought closer ties with the Russian Orthodox Church.”
Some Catholics are buying it. “The return of Christianity to Russia should give us hope for our own Nation as we face the effects of moral relativism, secularism and the growing hostility toward Christianity,” writes Deacon Keith Fournier, the Editor in Chief at Catholic Online.
But the “The Joy of the Gospel” document, with its attacks on the free market, has others worried.
One conservative Catholic Priest told me, “Pope Francis may have opposed Liberation Theology in Argentina, but he does not seem to be opposed to Marxism in general. It concerns me that we may have a heretic Pope.”

Despite some initial reports, the papal document does not condemn “unfettered capitalism.” It does, however, attack “trickle-down theories which assume that economic growth, encouraged by a free market, will inevitably succeed in bringing about greater justice and inclusiveness in the world.” The term “trickle-down” is associated by some in the liberal media with President Reagan’s pro-growth policies and is meant to disparage the beneficial impact of tax cuts on the economy.
The Washington Post noted, “The phrase has often been used derisively to describe a popular version of conservative economic philosophy that argues that allowing the wealthy to run their businesses unencumbered by regulation or taxation bears economic benefits that lead to more jobs and income for the rest of society.”
In fact, however, as Richard Butrick notes in his 2012 article, “The Trickle-Down Hoax,” there is no “trickle-down school of economic theory” or economic thought. He explains, “From Hayek to Friedman to Sowell, the main thrust of conservative economics is that money in the private sector is much more productive than money in the public sector and that the path to growth is to keep government (taxes-spending) to a minimum.” This was the Reagan approach.
Conservative Catholics should not “worry that the throne of Peter has been seized by a Marxist anti-pope,” writes Ross Douthat of The New York Times. “But his plain language tilts leftward in ways that no serious reader can deny.”
The big mystery, which may cause even more concern, is what Pope Francis intends to do in the future regarding the Kremlin and its “espionage church.”

Ad Reveals Obama As Arab Sheikh

obama_aotw_1
by

As part of a trio of print ads for Nigerian bleach company Hypo, Obama has taken the form of a Middle Eastern man dressed in a traditional Arabian robe and headdress. With an upturned nose and a wide smile, the two-dimensional figure is pictured marching proudly across the page.
Ostensibly, his bright, white garments were laundered with the advertised product. The only text in the ad is, as translated into English, “Damn good whites.”
Beyond that tagline, the consumer is left to wonder exactly what message the advertising professionals behind the ad hoped to convey. Noah’s Ark, the advertising agency behind the campaign, was not immediately available to comment.

Considering both the agency and advertised company are based in Nigeria, it could suggest this is how people in the region view Obama. After all, his frequent odes to the Middle East and poetic praise for Islam have convinced plenty of Americans that his alliance lies elsewhere.
His initial support of the Muslim Brotherhood during the Egyptian uprising gained him credibility among protesters in the region. He has arguably lost some of that influence through a series of bumbling missteps since; however, his own autobiography offers numerous ties to the culture.
In fact, photographs exist of a younger Barack Obama dressed very similarly to the animated version portrayed in this advertisement.
On the other hand, the purpose behind this campaign could be as simple as the driving force of all advertising efforts: attention. The Obama ad is one of three similar pieces, each featuring a famous figure in unusual garments.
In the two other ads, anti-apartheid hero Bishop Desmond Tutu is wearing a white robe while clutching what appears to be a Ku Klux Klan hood, while lesbian entertainer Ellen DeGeneres is pictured in a wedding dress.
No matter the motives – political or otherwise – behind this campaign, it has succeeded in sparking conversations half a world away. Even advertisers sinking millions into next year’s Super Bowl won’t be able to make that claim.
