Yesterday’s news became big news on the Fox News Channel on Thursday when former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani brought up the name of President Barack Obama’s childhood mentor, Frank Marshall Davis. It was almost seven years to the day when we published our seminal piece about Davis, “Obama’s Communist Mentor.”
Davis was a member of the Communist Party and a suspected Soviet espionage agent. He was included in the FBI’s security index, meaning that Davis could be arrested or detained in the event of a national emergency. The FBI file on Davis documents his anti-white and pro-Soviet views, infiltration of the Hawaii Democratic Party, and other activities.
Davis also wrote an autobiographical and pornographic sex novel, Sex Rebel, disclosing that he had sex with a young girl and engaged in shocking and bizarre sexual activities.

Giuliani’s public identification of Davis and discussion of his role in grooming a young Barack Obama marks the first time, in my memory, that a top Republican has ever mentioned the Davis-Obama relationship. It was done in the context of Fox News’ Megyn Kelly of questioning how Giuliani could dare ask whether Obama loves America.
If the Republicans had brought this up during the 2008 campaign, Obama might have been defeated and the country could have been spared the last six years of “progressive” hope and change. The Davis-Obama relationship is something so damaging and corrupt that its public airing would have raised questions about the Democratic Party’s vetting of Obama and the direction of the Democratic Party itself.
However, Republican operative Karl Rove was warning Republicans not to accuse Obama of being a socialist. He said such a charge would generate a negative backlash. The result in 2012 was another Obama victory.
Now that it has become apparent to more and more people that Obama is not a traditional liberal Democrat and is, in fact, a Marxist with Muslim sympathies, a figure such as Giuliani feels compelled to speak out. So let’s take a look at what Giuliani said.

“I don’t feel it. I don’t feel this love of America,” Giuliani said, talking about Obama. “I’m talking about a man who grew up under the influence of Frank Marshall Davis who was a member of the Communist Party, who he refers to over and over in his book, who was a tremendous critic of the United States.”
Kelly countered that Obama “was raised in part by his grandparents. His grandfather served in World War II, his grandmother worked in a munitions plant to help the nation during World War II. I mean, to suggest he was raised by people who don’t love America or didn’t help him learn to love America.”
Giuliani argued that “his grandfather introduced him to Frank Marshall Davis, who was a communist.” He added, “You can fight in World War II, and then you introduce someone to a Communist and the young boy gets…”
After Kelly interjected that “it’s a political world view. It’s not a hatred for the country,” Giuliani responded, “Communism wasn’t hatred for America?”
Giuliani is correct about the Davis influence over Obama and the role that the grandfather played in picking Davis as a mentor.

But when Giuliani notes that Obama refers to Davis “over and over in his book,” Dreams from My Father, it’s important to point out that Davis was not identified as Frank Marshall Davis in that book. Instead, Obama identified him merely as “Frank.” The rest of the story was put together by anti-communist researcher Trevor Loudon, and we confirmed the identification with another source in Hawaii who was a close friend of Davis.
Even more of the story was put together by Paul Kengor in his authoritative book on Davis, The Communist. It appears that Davis was an influence over Obama for about nine full years, until Obama was 18 and went off to college. Obama went off to college and, by his own admission, would attend socialist conferences and pick Marxist professors as his friends.
This relationship alone would have disqualified Obama from getting low-level federal employment. The loophole in our system is that background checks are not required for federal elected officials. Our founders counted on a free press to review the fitness of those running for office.

When former Obama adviser David Axelrod talks about Obama being free from major scandals, he is ignoring the biggest scandal of all—how Obama concealed his Marxist upbringing and relationship with Davis. Axelrod of course was part of the cover-up. When “Frank” was identified as Davis, the Obama campaign insisted he was just a civil rights activist.
As we reported at the time, news organizations such as the Associated Press, The Washington Post, Newsweek and even Fox News ignored or downplayed Davis’s communist sympathies.
As Giuliani indicated, there are other influences on Obama that help explain his anti-Americanism. These include the “community organizing” philosophy of Saul Alinsky, his pastor Jeremiah Wright and the communist terrorists Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn.

Giuliani clearly feels, at this stage in Obama’s presidency, that some things have to be said openly for the sake of the country. A former crime-busting U.S. Attorney who was mayor of New York City at the time of 9/11, Giuliani fears for the future of our country. But it’s not just the fate of America that is at stake. It is clear that Obama has no love for America’s traditional allies, such as Israel. Hence, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is coming to America to plead his case personally. He is afraid that Obama wants to make a deal that will allow Iran to acquire nuclear weapons.
Now that Giuliani has publicly raised some inconvenient truths about Obama, the “progressives” and their media allies will naturally scream and cry “McCarthyism.”  Strangely taking this tack, Fox News’ Kelly wondered if Giuliani’s comments about Obama had damaged “the Republican brand.” The Republican brand will only be damaged by an inability to face facts and confront and expose anti-Americanism at the highest levels of the United States government. It is shocking that it has taken this long for the evidence to emerge publicly on a national basis on Fox News and other channels.

This controversy will help determine what direction the Republicans will take. The Washington Post’s Dana Milbank, who has made it his job to protect Obama from the fallout from major scandals, was quick to label Giuliani’s remarks about Obama as “stupid.” He also attacked Wisconsin Republican Governor Scott Walker as “spineless” for saying Giuliani “can speak for himself,” and not directly challenging what the former mayor had said
“What Scott Walker did ought to disqualify him as a serious presidential contender,” wrote Milbank.
This is a signal from one of Obama’s best friends in the media that the information unearthed by Giuliani is of the blockbuster variety. Giuliani went for the jugular and hit a gusher.
The first thing Republicans can do is simply challenge the media to report on the Davis FBI file. They have been avoiding it for over six years.
Congress could also investigate Obama’s communist connections, which stretch from Hawaii to Chicago, and question the FBI about what they knew, if anything, about the Obama-Davis relationship. The reestablishment of House and Senate internal security committees, including a loyalty program for U.S. officials to eliminate security risks, should be considered.

Republicans could remind people that it was anti-communist Democratic President Harry Truman who started the first loyalty program. He issued executive order 9835 establishing the program in 1947.
The executive order said that “each employee of the Government of the United States is endowed with a measure of trusteeship over the democratic processes which are at the heart and sinew of the United States,” and declared that “the presence within the Government service of any disloyal or subversive person constitutes a threat to our democratic processes…”
It is time for a background check on the President of the United States. Does he pass the loyalty test?

INDIFFERENT OR INTENTIONAL: Obama’s Blind Indifference to Islamic Terror

The threat of radical Islamic terrorism is so clear and plain that even a president could see it. But Barack Obama is blind, deaf or indifferent, and maybe all three, and determined to keep himself that way.

At his White House conference on “extremism” — where it came from and where it wants to go left carefully unsaid — he proposed “building a global partnership” to “show the world the power of peaceful communities instead of extremist violence.” This is a reprise of the War on Poverty from the previous century, a “Jobs for ISIS” approach as set out earlier in the week by an ignorant spokeswoman for the State Department.

The president sometimes insists he’s willing to shoot somebody if that’s what it takes to deal with the growing worldwide plague of gangster religion, but so far he can’t find a suitable somebody to shoot. He can’t see the Islamic terror that everybody else sees. The president is big on the transforming game, but transforming Islamic terror, whose name the president dares not speak, into a branch of the League of Women Voters is a task far beyond even his magic powers.

Ari Waters says she carefully chose a yellow dress to wear to a dance at Mt. Orab Middle School.
“The yellow dress was just right for me. It fit me perfectly. It wasn’t inappropriate,” she said.
When she arrived at the dance, a teacher told her to put her coat on over her sleeveless dress.

Ari asked her mother to pick her up because she felt singled out, being told to cover up when she says more revealing outfits were allowed.
Gina Waters, Ari’s mother, said she demanded an explanation from the school’s vice principal.
“I said, ‘What’s wrong with her bare arms?’ And she said, ‘They are sexual objects.’ And I said, ‘Whoa, wait a minute,” Gina Waters said.

Contrary to the basic principles of checks and balances in our government, more than a quarter of likely U.S. voters think that Obama should be able to override federal court rulings. This is good news for King Obama.
More than one-quarter of likely U.S. voters think President Obama should ignore federal court rulings “if they are standing in the way of actions he feels are important for the country,” according to Rasmussen Reports polling data released Friday.
An even bigger segment of Americans polled — 31 percent — said they believe Obama should take action overriding Congress on “important” issues and that it’s more important that American government operate “efficiently” than it is to preserve America’s checks and balances.

There was a distinct partisan split among the 800 likely voters polled.
On the issue of Obama ignoring court orders, 81 percent of Republicans and 67 percent of unaffiliated voters said the president should not be able to disregard inconvenient court cases, but among Democrats, 43 percent said Obama should be able to brush aside judges’ decisions that don’t go his way.

How different would this story run in the mainstream media if this was a Republican? Michael Gardner is lucky to be a Democrat.
In a letter, received by authorities last month, the inmate told Gardner that he knew someone who could “help with ._._. the ‘3 problems’ you have pre-trial,” according to a motion filed by the prosecution on Thursday, allegedly referring to the two girls and a unspecified third issue. The letter was sent from the inmate in response to “multiple and specific conversations” Gardner allegedly had with the inmate, according to court papers.

Loudoun County prosecutor Nicole Wittmann said she did not know whether Gardner contacted a hit man.
Gardner was convicted in 2012 of molesting two girls, who were 9 and 10 at the time, during a slumber party for his daughter’s 10th birthday.
He was sentenced to 22 years in prison. Then his conviction was overturned by the state Supreme Court, which said the trial judge improperly stopped Gardner’s defense attorney from asking character witnesses about Gardner. He was granted a new trial.

Is President Obama a Muslim?  A lot has been written about this, but if photographs speak louder than words, then a photo taken at last August's U.S.-African Leaders' Summit in Washington D.C. might shed considerable light.
It shows Barack Hussein Obama flashing the one-finger affirmation of Islamic faith to dozens of African delegates.

The Associated Press took this astonishing photo as the African dignitaries joined Obama, who hosted the event, in a State Department auditorium for a group photograph.  It was published in an article in Britain's Daily Mail, and it was the only use ever of the photo.
The one-finger display is the distinctive Muslim gang sign: The index finger points straight up while the thumb wraps underneath and presses against the digital phalange of the middle finger.  The remaining fingers are squeezed against the palm in order to highlight the extended forefinger.  The extended finger is symbolic of the one-God concept of Muhammad and is understood by all believers to be a symbolic shahada, the Muslim affirmation of faith: There is but one God and Muhammad is his messenger.

Thus when believers stick their index finger in the air, they demonstrate they are partisans of Muhammad's God concept.  And they also affirm their belief in Muhammad's claim he was the interface between God and man. They also demonstrate they are part of the umma, the exclusive transtribal supertribe of believers that Muhammad started 1,400 years ago.

ISIS fighter displays the gang sign. To Muslims, the extended forefinger is symbolic of the fundamental belief of Islam: There is but one God and Muhammad is his messenger.

The Daily Mail editors did not understand what they were looking at.  They captioned it "finger wagging" by Obama.  But the African dignitaries understood, and a range of reactions can be detected among the ones who observed the gesture: amusement, surprise, curiosity, disapproval, contempt.  Note the reactions of Abdelilah Berkirane, the prime minister of Morroco pictured just behind Obama's left shoulder, and Ibrahim Boubacas Keita, the president of Mali in white garb and hat. They are Muslims through and through, and they are all smiles. They knew what Obama's upright forefinger meant.   

The reaction of Togo president Faure Gnassingbe, at the top row second to the left, is less approving.  Through his face you can read the mind of this Sorbonne- and George Washington University educated leader. His mind is screaming, "You gotta be kidding!"
Gnassingbe's country is squeezed between Benin and the Ivory Coast and is not far from Nigeria and its Boko Haram plague — perhaps a two-hour flight in a slow Cessna from Togo's capital to the Nigerian capital, less than an hour in something faster.  At the time of the Washington conference, Boko Haram's leader Abubakar Shekau had just declared Borno State in northeastern Nigeria as the seat of his caliphate.  Massacres of entire villages were taking place; only a few months earlier nearly three hundred girls were abducted from a Borno secondary school.

Togo has seven million people, 50 percent animists, 30 percent Christian.  The remainder are Muslims, part of the umma. Gnassingbe and all other non-Muslims of Togo have reason to worry about radicalization of some of these members of the transtribal supertribe of Muhammad who reside among them. And so his look of disdain. "You gotta be kidding."
Maybe it was Obama's idea of a joke, but that is unlikely.  The finger in the air was a position statement brazenly stated.  His entire administration has been a promotion of Islam at home and abroad, and just cataloging the evidence would fill a book.  He has made this country cozy for Islam, from ordering NASA to make Muslims feel good about themselves to calling ISIS beheading victim Peter Kassig by the Muslim name that he had adopted in the vain hope of saving his life.

If only Obama's coziness were limited to such gestures, but from the very beginning of his administration, he labored to topple the strongman governments that had kept a lid on Islamic extremism:  Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Yemen.  Overthrowing the Syrian government was also part the program, not yet achieved but still possible. The methodology of each was a tactic from old-school radicalism: stir up domestic trouble that triggers a crackdown, then use the reaction to discredit the government and as a pretext for stirring up greater cycles of trouble until the targeted regime is replaced.
Obama is comfortable with Islam's extreme.  He arms such people throughout the Middle East.  He has let them into our government.  He supported the Muslim Brotherhood's Muhammad Morsi as the replacement for Hosni Mubarak, a staunch US ally and enemy of the Muslim Brotherhood, and threatened and bullied Egypt when a massive revolt replaced Morsi with a religious moderate.

The thread of all of these efforts was the reestablishment of the Islamic caliphate, the line of successors of Muhammad that ended nearly a century ago with the collapse of the Ottoman Empire.  This has always been a Muslim Brotherhood objective.  In their grandiose plans, the reestablished caliphate would stretch across the Middle East with Jerusalem as its capital.  The glory of Islam resurrected!  These people aspire to world domination, and the caliphate would serve as the base for an ever-expanding war on the world until domination is achieved.  That was always the goal of their role model.  Muhammad ordered his followers to make Islam the only religion — to create a universal umma.  As with Obama, they are just following orders.
The caliphate was resurrected last year, only it is not in the hands of the Muslim Brotherhood — not yet anyway.  However it came about, the caliphate was Obama's creation, and he has only half-heartedly pushed back against it.  Now he has asked the U.S. Congress for authorization for use of military force against what he created.  What is Obama up to with this? In everything he does, mischief is the purpose.  What mischief does he intend now?

There is nothing in Obama's head that is American.  He is an antithetical American, a polar opposite of its values that he is routinely undermining.  He is an unabashed member of the transtribal supertribe that Muhammad created 1,400 years ago; he is of the umma, not of America.  His finger in the air at the African Leaders' Conference is unambiguous evidence.
And it is evidence that you have been had, America.  God, have you ever been had.

Texas Governor Sticks it to Gun Grabbing Moms Demand Action – Will Sign Open Carry into Law

Texas will become the 45^th State to allow Open Carry, according to Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) in comments he made during his 2015 State of the State Address. 

"Let me briefly follow up on a word I mentioned a moment ago – liberty," Abbott said. "In a single word, it encapsulates what this country stands for, what Texas symbolizes. I will expand liberty in Texas by signing a law that makes Texas the 45th state to allow Open Carry."
The anti-gun Moms Demand Action, a Michael Bloomberg concoction, has been desperately attempting to do anything and everything to pitch their anti-American propaganda to the public over the past year, but overall, with utter failure.

The group's useful idiot leader Shannon Watts has lied about statistics, endorsed public indecency for the cause and even gone after Jeff Foxworthy and Alan Jackson.
Of course, Watts is not the only one that has not been completely ethical in her behavior. Kelly Burke, the president of the Texas chapter of "Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America," is now being called into question regarding her testimony before the Texas Senate last Thursday, as many of her claims were said to be a "bold-faced lie."
Last year, after applying Alinsky-style tactics in Oklahoma, a Tulsa Chipotle kicked out Moms Demand Action supporters for rude behavior.

Additionally, Moms Demand Action has also suffered losses at various businesses, including Kroger, Fred Meyer, Staples and Harris Teeter.
This is just one of many results of the people being sick and tired of open communists and socialists who do not believe in individual liberty. Whether most politicians get it right or not, the recently elected Texas governor got this issue right.
There is also a campus carry bill before the Texas Senate that is being considered as a measure to allow students to protect themselves.

It’s Time For a Remake of “The 300″ Only This Time, In Iraq and Starring…

The United States Marines.  As a refresher, here’s the background on The 300.
A Greek force of approximately 7,000 men marched north to block the pass at Thermopylae in the summer of 480 BC. The Persian army, alleged by the ancient sources to have numbered over one million arrived at the pass in late August or early September.
The vastly outnumbered Greeks held off the Persians for seven days (including three of battle) before the rear-guard was annihilated in one of history’s most famous last stands.

During two full days of battle, the small force led by Leonidas blocked the only road by which the massive Persian army could pass. After the second day of battle, a local resident named Ephialtes betrayed the Greeks by revealing that a small path led behind the Greek lines. Leonidas, aware that his force was being outflanked, dismissed the bulk of the Greek army and remained to guard their retreat with 300 Spartans,
Because of the heroics of the 300, the Greeks were able to win the day and defeat the Persian army.

The story has been made into a number of movies.
It’s time for a remake that will once again stop the march of the modern day Persians, the army known as ISIS that is overrunning Iraq and Lybia and butchering everyone in their path.
The Obama administration seems to think that we need to fund  a jobs program for ISIS and that will take them off the battlefield.  We prefer the solution put forth byformer Navy SEAL and author of “Lone Survivor” Marcus Lutrell.

We’d quibble a little with Lutrell, but only on the numbers.  We’d prefer a Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), a special operations force made up of roughly a battalion of infantry plus air power.  It amounts to about 2,200 Marines.  They can be operational anywhere in the world in less than 48 hours and can carry out sustained combat for two weeks without resupply.  Today is Wednesday, they could be on the ground and fully engaged against ISIS by Saturday.
The critical element is not the deployment of the Marines, it’s the revision of the Rules of Engagement which are now designed to put our Marines at risk to protect ISIS fighters and supporters.  Eliminate the current RoE and Lutrell is absolutely right, ISIS would cease to exist in short order.

The Marines have been in Anbar province before.  They’re very well known.  It was the most dangerous place on earth when they arrived last time and when they left it was more peaceful that your average Chicago Southside neighborhood.
It’s time for a real fight.  Time to take off the gloves and wipe out not just Islamic terrorists, but we need to wipe out the desire of Muslims to even think about terrorist acts, slaughtering their neighbors, or 72 virgins.  Send in the Marines, it’s way past time Mohammad ran out of virgins.

Beginning in the fall of 2014, however, something truly amazing for American consumers occurred: Gas prices suddenly started to fall, and at a rapid pace. According to AAA’s Fuel Gage Report, gas prices in September 2014 averaged $3.39 per gallon, but by January 2015, gas prices had plummeted to below $2.20, with many states like Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas seeing gas prices fall below $2 for the first time in nearly five years.

The leader in the race to replace retiring U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA) in America’s most liberal state is… Republican Condoleezza Rice, according to a new Field Poll released Wednesday. Rice, the former Secretary of State and Stanford don, is backed by 49% of voters–ahead of Attorney General Kamala Harris, the liberal Democrat who was the first to declare.
The poll, which sampled 972 likely voters in California, presented respondents with a list of 18 potential candidates and asked if they “would be inclined or not inclined to vote for that person,” with no limit on the number they could support. Rice led among both male and female voters, and did well among Latino voters, though the top choice for Latinos remains former Los Angeles mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. Rice and Harris each polled 74% among their respective political parties.

If there is one thing all of the police strikes have shown us lately, it's that not all arrests are "absolutely necessary."
They have literally admitted this. Makes sense when you consider that America has the largest prison population per capita far and away beyond any other country on the planet and most people are in there for non-violent crimes. California Prison Focus spells it out succinctly: "no other society in human history has imprisoned so many of its own citizens." It's ultimately about revenue generation. There's a whole economy in this country based on enslaving a booming prison population who end up working for megacorporations for pennies, the same corporations who, not-so-coincidentally, bankroll the prison-industrial complex.

But more and more, the American police state is just getting ridiculously out-of-control on a cartoonish, Monty Python/Saturday Night Live level. New Jersey ranks right at the top of this security theater circus.
Take the case of 72-year-old retired schoolteacher Gordon VanGilder who is currently facing up to a decade in prison because he was caught with an unloaded, antique flintlock pistol from the mid-1700s in his car. It was found during a supposedly unrelated routine traffic stop.
"His attorney notes that VanGilder is facing the same felony charge for his unloaded mid-1700s firearm as he would be for a loaded .44 Magnum," according to NRA News.

VanGilder tells his story in the video below. The sheriff's deputy who pulled him over wanted to immediately search the car and reportedly got forceful about it right away threatening to sick a K-9 on the man, meaning the stop likely had nothing to do with whatever the traffic violation supposedly was in the first place. With the kinds of big data algorithms our police run on us these days, they already had a threat profile with detailed information about VanGilder before officers ever approached him in person. It's highly likely they knew he owned that gun and were on a mission.

And by the way, what police officer goes to the academy and says, "Yep, someday I'll be keeping the public safe by threatening to sick dogs on old men and throwing them in prison for owning unloaded antiques! Just doing my duty…" What duty???
The man will be 82 when he gets out if they use this situation to its fullest extent to make an example out of him. A felony charge would also threaten the pension he spent 34 years as a teacher to earn.
And that's how it is today. If you are an American as I am, then we are citizens of a country where an elderly retired schoolteacher might go to prison as a felon for simply possessing an unloaded antique gun from the 18th century.
The outright criminalization of our natural rights continues to get ratcheted up and we're all treated as guilty until proven innocent by the police state.

What American slave under the influence of cognitive dissonance and misplaced critical thinking skills can even begin to justify that this is in the interest of public safety? What was this guy going to do, club someone over the head with his unloaded, antique pistol? Go on a mass clubbing? Get road rage and throw it at someone's car?
This entire scenario actually reminds me of V for Vendetta, where the police state gets so outrageous and so controlling over the populace that average citizens are labeled terrorists, black bagged, and/or killed for owning antiques and other forbidden items of art, music, and books that the government has banned.

Why banned? Because it's ultimately about banning our culture.
Once upon a time, American patriots fought in a Revolutionary War for our freedom from a tyrannical government in this country. The Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms is built into the very fabric of our nation. By attacking it on every level possible — from suspending kids and locking down schools over a Hello Kitty bubble gun or a Nerf toy gun, to arresting elderly members of our society for possessing 300-year-old firearms — it is not just our rights but our very history that is being attacked. They are socially re-engineering us into defenseless, scared little children with the government as mommy and daddy and only mommy and daddy can have something as dangerous as a gun.
They are also rewriting what the very definition of patriotism means.

Now it means you wave a flag (probably made in China) and love your tyrannical government, support it and your troops without questioning our endless wars for empire while giving up all of our rights here at home to everything from gun ownership and even free speech in the interest of "national security" and "public safety" which also just means "national security."
The tyranny has been creeping so incrementally slow, and people are so busy trying to survive and asleep to it, they don't realize how far down the rabbit hole we've fallen and where this is ultimately going.
We are living in the precursors to every dystopic film you can name. 1984 has become an instruction manual. Idiocracy is a documentary. Someday when reading is likewise outlawed down to only what literature can be found on a government-approved reading list, I hope this quote below from one of our founding fathers isn't totally forgotten.

3 American Journalists Die within 24 Hours – One Hours After Interviewing Edward Snowden

In an incredibly strange coincidence, four journalists from several mainstream media outlets dropped dead within 24 hours of each other. NBC, CBS and the New York Times lost three members of their teams within 24 hours last week.  
NBC reported on February 12 the former NBC New reporter Ned Colt died in Boston after suffering a massive stroke. Colt reported for NBC from Latin America, Europe, Beijing, Hong Kong and the Middle East. It was also reported that he was "instrumental in the network's coverage of the Iraq War, and was part of a four-person team that was kidnapped and held for three days in Fallujah. He was 58.

Also on February 12, it was reported that CBS' Bob Simon was killed in a New York City car crash. Simon, a correspondent for 60 Minutes, had covered a wide range of stories in his career. However, he was also held captive for more than a month in Iraq. He was 73.
Then, on February 13, it was reported that David Carr of the New York Times died suddenly after collapsing in the NYT newsroom. Carr had just completed an interview with NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden just hours before he died. He was 58.
Additionally, NBC's Bob Hager was also involved in head on collision on February 12, but he uninjured, even as his wife was taken to the hospital with neck and back injuries.
Consider all this happened following Brian Williams' admission of lying about his time in Iraq, which led to his dismissal, as well as Jon Stewart stepping down from The Daily Show on February 10.

While there are some that are attempting to tie this all together somehow as conspiratorial, I'm not necessarily of that opinion. However, I do wonder about all of this happening at the same time, as well as the recent train wreck in New York City which claimed the lives of five prominent NYC figures, including 3 top investment bankers. Is there something that does tie these events together other than the hand of Providence?
I don't often ask those in this audience for opinions, but in this case I would be genuinely interested. What do you make of all of this?

U.S. Muslim Leaders Silent On Christian Beheadings; Christian Leaders Must Not Be

I just finished reading Graeme Wood’s piece in The Atlantic entitled “What ISIS Really Wants.” It’s a long and comprehensive essay intended to intellectually define an enemy who has already by its actions expressed who it is and what it wants.
Wood does seem to realize who this enemy is as he writes, “The reality is that the Islamic State is Islamic. Very Islamic. Yes, it has attracted psychopaths and adventure seekers, drawn largely from the disaffected populations of the Middle East and Europe. But the religion preached by its most ardent followers derives from coherent and even learned interpretations of Islam.”

Then why does it seem the official policy of the Obama administration — as well as Islamapologists — is to dismiss any aspect of religion being a part of the ISIS equation? Even the White House statement after the horrific beheading of twenty-one Egyptian Christian men referred to them only as “citizens” and “victims.”

Leading Democrats Condemn Obama

People who care deeply about our country have been raising the alarm for a long while, including prominent Democrats who are now speaking out with greater intensity, calling this President both a failure, and a threat to our future.
Pat Caddell has been working for Democrat candidates for decades. He has worked for George McGovern in 1972, Jimmy Carter in 1976 and 1980, Gary Hart in 1984, Joe Biden in 1988, and Jerry Brown in 1992. Caddell urged Obama not to run for re-election.  That was extraordinary.  Today he is calling on Democrat leadership to meet with Obama, urging him to finally come up with a robust strategy for dealing with ISIS, one that is actionable near-term, refusing the self-limiting authorization Obama recently submitted to Congress.

Imagine, in a time of war comparable to the years leading up to the Second World War, a chief executive asking Congress to scale back the war powers he presently possesses! Caddell says Obama’s state of the union speech was terrifying, revealing a President who has lost touch with reality, both in terms of domestic and foreign policy, and man surrounded by people keeping him in a bubble of fantasy, while the Democrat Party has become dictatorial.  Given Obama’s weak and aimless foreign policy, and in view of escalating Jihad globally, especially in the Middle East, Caddell says it is likely we are seeing the development of another world war.

The Sword Of Romans 13

My topic here involves how we are to understand the sword – and the state’s use of it – as found in Paul’s discussion of government authority in Romans 13:1-7. Many scholars understand this to be a reference to the death penalty, and that is the case I seek to make here.
I should first point out that the Bible makes it clear that God has ordained the death penalty (even before the giving of the Mosaic law), and it is not rescinded in the New Testament. But read this two-part article for much more detail on this:

The passage in Romans speaks about the reason why God has ordained human authorities to rule in a fallen world, and the first five verses provide the context for the verse about the sword (v. 4):

Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience.

More States Considering No PermitRequired Conceal Carry Laws

Just when Barack Obama and his liberal tyrant friends have been pushing so hard to enact stricter anti-gun and Second Amendment defying laws, some states are looking to pass laws that would not require a special permit to carry a concealed weapon.
Currently, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Vermont and Wyoming do not require any special permit to carry a concealed weapon. At one time, Alaska, Arizona and Wyoming did require a state issued permit for concealed carry, but more recently laws did away with the permit requirements.
Now, state legislatures in Kansas, Mississippi, Montana and New Hampshire have introduced bills to eliminate their state’s special conceal carry permit and open it up to every citizen. Of course anti-constitutional tyrants are trying to defeat the measures, claiming that crime rates will sky rocket by allowing law abiding citizens to arm and protect themselves.

A video shot on a cell phone reportedly shows a nuke detonating in Ukraine.
InfoWars reported that the video “is seemingly consistent with a smaller tactical nuke designed for use on a battlefield in a military situation, as opposed to much larger strategic nukes used to level cities.”
A man recorded the video from inside his house. The window he was filming out of reportedly broke from the blast.
According to Russia media outlets, the explosion could be felt for “tens of kilometers” and occurred in Donetsk, Ukraine.

Our lawless President takes issue with adherence to the rule of law.

The Alabama Supreme Court has agreed to expedite our petition requesting that probate judges cease the issuance of same-sex marriage licenses. Meanwhile, the mainstream media is vilifying Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore and Liberty Counsel for our staunch defense of the rule of law and natural marriage.

The Alabama Supreme Court is taking a close look at our petition and may soon weigh in on the probate judges that are violating Alabama law that permits marriage licenses only for opposite-sex couples.
 

The probate judges must follow the law, which was clearly set forth in Chief Justice Roy Moore's Administrative Order. No single federal judge has jurisdiction over all the Alabama probate judges.

Judge Callie Granade's opinion last month regarding Alabama's marriage laws has no basis in the U.S. Constitution. There is no constitutional prohibition against a state affirming the natural created order of marriage as the union of a man and a woman. Her ruling does not automatically create a law that validates same-sex marriages, as is being alleged by legal activists, the media, and the ACLU.

Judge Grande does not have authority to order all probate judges to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples. The law in Alabama remains that marriage is the union of one man and one woman! 

Because of our unified stand, pro-homosexual media outlets all over the nation are advancing the legal opinion of any legal activist in order to justify their demonization of Chief Justice Moore and Liberty Counsel.

+ + Our lawless President takes issue with adherence to the rule of law.

President Obama also managed to weigh on on Judge Moore's stance by telling Buzzfeed, "When federal law is in conflict with state law, federal law wins out.  I think the courts at the federal level will have something to say to him."
 

Mr. President, the opinion of one federal judge on a specific issue does not create a new "law" as Judge Granade has attempted to do. When the United States Supreme Court rules this summer, there will be a national federal standard. Right now, we have  the judicial activism of one federal judge who has no authority over the state's probate judges. Until the Supreme Court rules otherwise, Chief Justice Moore is correct in adhering to the Alabama Constitution.

Should Republicans kill the filibuster?

To invoke, or not to invoke, the "Reid Rule?" That is the singe most important question facing Senate Republicans.
Simply put, if destroying what is left of the Senate's tradition of the filibuster would save the country from terrible crises and hardship, almost every senator of both parties would vote to abolish it.
Indeed, all but one of the currently serving Senate Democrats who also served in 2013 voted with their leader to break the filibuster rule by simple majority, thus creating "the Reid Rule" that the rules of the Senate can be modified by a simple majority of the senators present. (West Virginia's Joe Manchin voted against breaking the filibuster then, along with Carl Levin and Mark Pryor — the former retired, the latter was defeated in November.) 
It was the Republicans who first threatened to use the "nuclear option" in the summer of 2005, an action avoided by the compromise cobbled together by the "Gang of 14." Had the GOP not fallen for the Democrats' promise of comity, the "Reid Rule" would have been born as the "Frist Rule," named instead for the majority leader of the Senate in '05, Bill Frist. 


But Frist didn't pull the trigger and fracture the filibuster. Reid did. Thus Reid will live on in infamy, at least in the eyes of Senate traditionalists.
The filibuster is not part of the Constitution, however, and all that ever preserved it was a bipartisan sense of the necessity of maintaining a tradition that honored the role of the minority in a long-enduring Republic. Now with the president embarked on an unconstitutional abdication of his oath to faithfully execute the laws, along with his adventures with Cuba and Iran that have many in his own party alarmed, the question is squarely presented: Does the near term of the Republic's future outweigh the long term interests of the Senate?

In the past week I have heard from two former senators and one theologian on this key debate. Both senators are greatly respected for their intellects and integrity — former Colorado Sen. Bill Armstrong and former Missouri Sen. Jim Talent — but they differ on the subject of whether the Mitch McConnell-led Republicans ought to clear away what is left of the wreckage of the filibuster by invoking the Reid Rule to end filibusters on legislative matters as well as nominations. The theologian, Phoenix Seminary's Wayne Grudem, is known as the country's pre-eminent systematic theologian and a prolific and thoughtful political essayist as well. 


Talent and Grudem both pointed out that so much damage has been done by the president and his allies in Congress that the repair job will require passing laws, not merely halting the passage of additional ill-conceived statutes, and Grudem detailed a long list of crucially necessary reforms left for dead because of the filibuster, a list that grows longer every week. Much needs to be repealed and righted, and that won't happen even with a Republican president and GOP Congressional majorities in 2017 if at least 41 Democrats remain in the Senate. This is an argument built on the urgency of the times and the scale of our problems at home and abroad.
Armstrong, now the president of Colorado Christian College, argues still for the long term interest of stability and comity, but recognizes as well that Republicans risk being patsies if, when the Democrats next return to the majority with a Democratic president, they simply invoke the Reid Rule again to jam through more big government laws.


The Armstrong suggestion: The GOP Senate leadership ought to require as a condition of laying down the Reid Rule now a written pledge — a solemn oath — signed by individual Democrats, that they will honor the legislative filibuster for the balance of their careers. There can be no repairing the damage the precedent of the Reid Rule over the very long term, but there can be begun a new tradition of personal commitments to comity that might last as long as the stigma of oath-breaking backed it up.
Certainly the GOP ought to ask for such a written commitment from every currently serving Democrat. If some critical mass of signed commitments is not forthcoming, the GOP could break the remains of the filibuster using the Reid Rule assured that they were not the radicals — Harry Reid owns that title — but rather realists quicker to the draw in a fight with politicos who care not a whit about the long term but only their short term social engineering goals.

Michelle Obama dodges accident to hit Aspen's ski slopes

After trying to keep secret the first lady’s annual skiing vacation to Aspen, Co., an Instagram photo and police report about a car wreck finally confirmed the trip.
The police report said that Obama’s motorcade had to go around a head-on car wreck Sunday in which both drivers walked away.
“They had to go around the accident this morning,” Police Chief Brian Olson told the Aspen Daily News. He said that the procession carrying the first lady and her daughters in Aspen for their fourth consecutive winter break was allowed to “sneak through while they waited on tow trucks.”
The day before, Saturday, the Obamas skied at Buttermilk, host of the Winter X Games.
The family, minus dad who is golfing in California, arrived Friday. An Instagram user posted a picture of what he called the first lady's Air Force jet parked at the airport.

ISIS Sends Out This Message To All Christians:

‘You Will Soon See An Ocean Of Blood For All The Nation Of The Cross’

ISIS today sent out a "Coming Soon" documentary titled Warning: Message Signed In Blood Coming Soon To 'Nation Of The Cross.' It will be as ISIS promised, showing a wave of Christian blood which it has spilt. It is quite horrifying. 
This morning I noticed some western speculation as to what ISIS had in mind for this sinister surprise which makes it obvious that from the beach wave mixed in blood as to another slaughter of Christians.  

Some social media in the west speculated that this has something to do with Denmark, for example:

"Speculation as to 'nation of the cross' spans from Denmark (flag with cross) to 'community of Christendom.' This announcement came after the Denmark attacks yesterday, so is not a reference to yesterday's attacks." (Weasel Zippers)

Westerners care more about Charlie Hebdo, a liberal who mocked Christ portraying the Virgin Mary giving birth to a pig. But all throughout the Middle East, the speculation is quite different, the beach and the waves shaped red, a reference to the blood was a clear message to the Copts in Egypt, a people who are rarely cared for and to Egypt it is about the slaughter of the 21 Christian Copts who were dragged to a beach front in Libya dressed in orange jump suits. The picture shows from ISIS magazine Dabiq, a group of Copts bowing on a beach, which can be linked to the image of the new promotional video issued by ISIS.

While ISIS did not issue any additional information about the nature of the video and what can be contained, the phrase "Cross nation," referred to in the Tweet, raises doubts about the fate of 21 Coptic Egyptian kidnapped by a group "Soldiers Of The Caliph" loyal to ISIS in Libya, and who had been abducted from the city Sirte, Libya.
And while the families anticipate the fate of their 21 sons in suffering, I am reminded of Christ's descending on earth. The two places in Scripture I find Jesus landing to rescue folks are Zechariah 14 and Isaiah 19. We all know that Zechariah 14 is about rescuing the Jews and converting them to Him, but Isaiah 19 should shock some folks and get us to ask who and why is Christ coming for in Egypt:

"And it will be for a sign and for a witness to the LORD of Hosts in the land of Egypt; for they will cry to the LORD because of the oppressors, and He will send them a Savior and a Mighty One, and He will deliver them." (Isaiah 19:20)

Here we have the "Mighty One" is the Messiah, who fights on the day of the Lord to fight the oppressors.
