They said it.  I didn’t. What if Christians held soirées like this?

[ Sidetrack M.C. (and Chicago public school teacher) Bradley Thomas Balof incites a crowd of gay men to hurl expletives at Christians and Republicans in the form of a Chick-Fil-A effigy during a two-minute-hate conducted during a fundraiser for Equality Illinois held at Sidetrack the Video Bar in Chicago in August 2012 ]

Yesterday, Floyd Corkins II of Herndon, Virginia — who worked with The DC Center, an LGBTQAI community center in the nation’s capital — brought a gun to the Family Research Council’s headquarters because he was driven by an all-consuming hatred of Christians and egged on by the nation’s self-styled “gay leaders” to “get in their faces” and inflict harm on the people that the gay community routinely brands as “enemies”.  He concealed his gun in a Chick-Fil-A bag as a political statement and likely got the idea to do that from the nonstop, hate-fueled rage the gay community’s directed against the fast food chain for the last month because of COO Dan Carthay’s unapologetic promotion of traditional Christian values.

Gay bars like Sidetrack the Video Bar here in Chicago are hotbeds of this anti-Christian hatred and encouragement to violence, where patrons are often led in “two-minute-hates” against Christians, Republicans, and other declared “enemies of the gay community”.  It is truly only a matter of time before another gay man like Floyd Corkins picks up a gun, stuffs it into a chicken bag, and sets out to murder Christians because self-styled LGBTQAI “community leaders” put that idea into his head.
If you don’t read gay publications like The Advocate or local gay newspapers and don’t spend much time in gay bars or attending gay-oriented events you might be unaware of just how much hatred and violence is actually promoted on a regular, rolling basis by the men who own these bars and sit on the boards of directors of the myriad nonprofits that always seem to come out of the woodwork to condemn the Tea Party for any and all tragedies that befall this country.  The Left’s agenda is very clear in this:  if anything bad happens involving guns, theres a race to pin it on fiscal conservatives, Governor Sarah Palin, or any group that affiliates even remotely as Christian and then dispatch members of the Democrats’ coalition of identity-based-voting-blocs to vociferously blame Republicans for the tragedy.  It never works — because the Tea Party is nonviolent and wholly lacking of the Alinsky Methods and radical tactics the Left attempts to project on it — but the media and its Leftist operators press on regardless.  Gays comprise a useful goon squad I call the “Gaystapo” because they are enthusiastically dispatched to malign, berate, bully, and impugn Christians and political conservatives (especially Republican women) whenever the Left seizes an opportunity in current events to exploit a tragedy for political gain by desperately linking Christianity or conservatism to violence.

In reality, the people in this country governed by irrational rage with a propensity for lashing out with violence are those who pull the Democrat lever in polling places and proudly deem themselves “liberal” politically (a term deserving of air-quotes whenever spoken aloud because there is nothing truly “liberal” about these violent fascists who declare jihad on anyone who disagrees with them on almost anything; calling them “liberals” is, in fact, like calling cockroaches “hug-a-bugs” and is a habit you need to break immediately because you only help them by using their preferred terminology in your conversations or writing). Religiously, it’s of course Muslims who use violence as their go-to form of expression but the Left in this country are apologists for Islam and seek to continually malign Christianity as a way of mitigating the horrible things that Muslims do around the world in furtherance of their cause.
Unlike conservatives, who are more or less focused on peacefully living their own lives and generally react to events instead of setting them in motion, the political Left in this country feverishly works every day to proactively cause things to happen in the national conversation that will either benefit the Left politically or cause great harm to their perceived “enemies”.  No opportunity is wasted to recruit, train, or rev-up acolytes to go out into the world and serve the Left’s goals or attack the Left’s enemies.  The gay community makes 2012 look horrifyingly like 1984:

I wish conservative writers and pundits would shine a light on what goes on in gay bars because a lot of it is very similar to what’s seen in radical mosques, at home and abroad.  Gay writers and activists mock Christianity and groups like the “Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence” dress up like nuns and priests to garishly lampoon the Catholic Church, but gays on the whole are more zealously devoted to the Cult of Leftism than just about any group out there is committed to their religion besides the Muslim suicide bombers.  Gay “community leaders” convene hate-filled congregations in gay bars and at gay events where speakers take to microphones and encourage the assembled crowds to shout expletives and punch their fists into the air condemning Christians, Republicans, and other declared “enemies of the gay community”.
[ Sidetrack Owner Arthur "Art" Johnston reveling in the Equality Illinois Pie Toss held at the bar, during which much hate-filled political speech was directed against Christians and Republicans ]

A perfect case study in all of this is Sidetrack the Video Bar here in Chicago, owned by Arthur “Art” Johnston and Jose “Pepe” Pepin Pena and strongly affiliated with the political group Equality Illinois, of which Johnston is not only a founder but the primary financial contributor.  I’ve written about Sidetrack in the past on this and other sites and was a loyal patron of the bar for the first five years I lived in Chicago. After I became known as a conservative political writer, Sidetrack employees harassed me with anti-Christian pejoratives, discriminated against me, and even denied me access to this public accommodation because these employees decided they didn’t want “my kind” on the premises because I am openly gay, Christian, and a newly out and proud Republican (after being a Democrat until the 2008 election and ascendancy of the Left into dominance of that party).
Sidetrack, for years, has been the mecca of anti-Christian hatred in Chicago’s gay community. Any and all events the bar holds — but particularly those held for Equality Illinois — metastasize into Orwellian “two-minute-hates” against Christians and Republicans.  The bar’s owners Johnston and Pena not only encourage this, but actively participate in it, as evidenced most recently by the “Equality Illinois Pie Toss” held at the bar two weeks ago where Chick-Fil-A became a rallying point of anti-Christian hatred aggressively stoked by Sidetrack.

Bradley Thomas Balof, who works as a Chicago public school 5th grade teacher in addition to bartending at Sidetrack and serving as its Master of Ceremonies for the “two-minute-hates”, took to the microphone at the Pie Toss and directed the hundreds of gay men in attendance at the event to hurl hate-fueled pejoratives at a man dressed in a chicken costume representing Chick-Fil-A for the night’s festivities.  The point of the Pie Toss, supposedly, was to fundraise for Equality Illinois, which purports to be a nonprofit organization dedicated to “equality” in this state.  Routinely, Equality Illinois serves as the Left’s mouthpiece in Chicagoland whenever its needed to denounce Republicans and call individual candidates bigots (such as the scorch-earth campaign that gay groups led by Equality Illinois waged against gubernatorial candidate Bill Brady in the 2010 elections in Illinois).  It’s not surprising to me that a gay group actually commits all the sins it routinely accuses conservative groups of because this is par for the course in terms of the Left’s consistent and unending hypocrisy:  Leftists are forever accusing other people of doing the hateful things they themselves do to people.

At the Pie Toss, with Johnston and Pena smiling approvingly, Balof launched into an extended tirade against Christians and Republicans that incited the crowd into a frenzy of foul-language berating the Dan Cathay effigy in the chicken suit. If you still use the word “liberals” to describe these people, please stop, because there is nothing “liberal” about hate mongering and inciting people to violence like this. This behavior is positively Islamic, not “liberal”, in its chanting and crowd-riling.  ”We need to get them in November!”, Balof shouted, declaring Christians and Republicans to be the enemy of all gays and thus deserving of scorn, malice, and whatever tactics patrons might employ to “teach them a lesson they won’t forget”. What was supposed to be a fun event where “local celebrities” (and naked men from groups like the gay hockey league) allowed themselves to be smeared with pies for charity degenerated into an organized hatefest against Christians and Republicans using the man in the chicken suit as a focal point.

Allen West To Obama: Show Us Your College Records And Fast And Furious Docs And We’ll Show You Our Tax Returns…

What do you say, Barack?

Via The Hill:
Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) set high stakes in an offered “deal” with President Obama on Friday.
Obama’s campaign isn’t backing down on requests to see Mitt Romney’s tax returns — on Friday, campaign manager Jim Messina offered to stop asking if he releases five years’ worth — but the freshman Florida congressman had a counteroffer for Obama.
“Show us your sealed college records and Operation Fast and Furious White House memos, and we will all show you our tax returns,” West wrote on his Facebook page Friday!

No-bama 2012: Young voters fed up with economy

by: Drew Zahn
Young voters – the ones who so notably turned out for Barack Obama in 2008 – are fed up with being unemployed, and many are beginning to turn against the president’s big-government solutions to America’s economic woes.
One group tracking this turnaround is Generation Opportunity, or GO, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that seeks to mobilize Americans aged 18-29 toward “real solutions” to joblessness and the flailing economy.

GO boasted this past week that its family of Facebook pages – with names like “We Like Small Government” and “Gas Prices Are too D— High” – have topped over 4 million “likes” and growing, fueled by a young demographic that polls show is increasingly disillusioned with Obama’s economic policies.
“Every day, young Americans search for meaningful, full-time jobs in a career of their choice and, instead, experience first-hand the stark reality imposed by the poor economy,” states Paul. T. Conway, president of GO and a former chief of staff of the U.S. Department of Labor. “Rather than resorting to pessimism, however, young adults are taking a harder look at who and what is creating barriers to economic opportunity.
“Increasingly, they identify elected officials and policies that result in more government interference,” Conway continues. “As they continue to deal with the highest sustained unemployment since World War II, Millennials have definitely concluded that government intervention in the economy is the problem, not the solution.”
If Conway is right, it puts “Millenials” – 66 percent of whom voted for Obama in the last presidential election – at stark odds with economic solutions the president has touted thus far.

From the stimulus bill passed early in his presidency to proposed job bills and even the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, Obama has repeatedly demonstrated a belief in increased government involvement in the private sector, while at the same time calling for increased taxes on the investors and business owners many Millenials are hoping will hire them.
Conway told WND that message isn’t connecting.
“Whether you’re a Republican, Democrat or independent, at the end of the day, your aspirations, career, dreams, ability the live the life you envision are all tied to full-time work,” Conway said. “When you have politicians who vilify those who have the means and courage to create business, and you have so many looking for jobs … when we’re out in the field talking to people about solutions instead, we get immediate interest.”
“I’ll tell you about an amazing poll,” Conway told WND. “A July 22 poll of 1,000 voters from the Service Employees International Union, or SEIU [which spent $28 million backing Obama in the 2008 election], asked 18-29 years olds whether they would vote for Obama or Romney. Though 66 percent voted for Obama in 2008, only 49 percent answered Obama in 2012, with 41 percent for Romney and undecideds at 10 percent.

“When asked about the president’s job performance, 37 percent approved, 57 percent disapproved,” Conway continued. “When asked if the country was heading in the right direction, 22 percent said yes; 75 percent said America is on the wrong track.
“As a veteran of over 100 campaigns, when you have a swing vote of 10 percent in a demographic and that demographic is saying at 75 percent that the country is on the wrong track – when you’ve got a candidate formerly at 66 percent support now below 50 percent – you have a major problem as a candidate,” Conway concluded.
“The core issue,” Conway told WND, “is that people cannot find economic opportunity, cannot find meaningful, full-time jobs in the field of their choice, and they’re being asked to settle for the status quo instead: part-time work, not in their field, at below their skill level for their education. People are not going to settle for that.”
GO has been tracking the impact of the slumping economy on 18-29-year-olds and has released a series of reports showing how the demographic has not only suffered disproportionately under the economic conditions, but has also turned against the president’s plans for more and more government solutions to the problem.

According to GO’s reports:
  • While the national unemployment rate has hovered around 8 percent, the non-seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for 18-29-year-olds is 12.7 percent
  • If the additional 1.715 million young adults that are not counted as “unemployed” because they have given up looking for work were factored in, the actual unemployment rate for 18-29-year-olds would rise to 16.7 percent.
  • Only 31 percent of those 18-29 approve of Obama’s handling of youth unemployment
  • While the president has touted raising taxes on the wealthy as a key component to financial solvency, 69 percent of 18-29-year-olds prefer reductions in federal spending over raising taxes to balance the budget.
The numbers prompted the organization to launch its newest Facebook page, “We Like Small Government.”
The organization claims its newest page “fosters debate on the appropriate size and scope of government, the impact high taxes and more regulations have on job creation and the importance of economic opportunity and individual freedom. The page has already amassed over 400,000 fans.”
Other GO pages, like “The Constitution by GO” and “Being American by GO” have amassed over 1 million and 1.5 million Facebook “likes,” respectively.
The Facebook pages are part of GO’s strategy to create what Conway called “a true fusion” of education efforts, field organizers, online tools and a social-media audience.

“We have a full-time, paid staff and a huge volunteer network to help with a series of events,” Conway told WND. “In the past 10 days, we’ve hit 10 states and 35 different events, booths to meet people or sign up people with iPads, to meet with those who feel disaffected, those who are not registered to vote, we work to register them – tens of thousands of people.
“We also have campaigns to call voters, reminding them to vote, and a series of training guides on our website,” Conway said. “We’ve already had tens of thousands of downloads, people using the guides to organize friends, learning from guides on how to be an effective radio call-in guest, how to organize events, how to blog, write a press release or a letter to the editor and more.
“The response has been fantastic,” Conway said. “We tell the young voters, ‘We know you changed history in 2008; we know you can do it again in 2012.’”

Was Hillary Offered VP Slot?

Did Hillary Clinton turn down the opportunity to get on this year’s ticket with Barack Obama as vice president? Was there an offer to replace Joe Biden with Clinton as soon as two weeks ago at a lunch with Valerie Jarrett at the White House? According to author of “The Amateur”, Ed Klein, the answer is “yes.”
Klein appeared on CNBC with Larry Kudlow and claimed that his sources inside the Hillary Clinton camp say that the opportunity did present itself. Klein said,
“Up until just a couple of weeks ago the White House was putting out feelers to see if Hillary would accept the vice-presidential nod and replace Joe Biden. Bill Clinton was, I’m told, urging his wife to accept the number two slot. He saw this as a great launching pad for her for running in 2016.”
“But then Hillary had lunch in the White House a couple of weeks ago with Valerie Jarrett — Michelle [Obama]’s best friend, senior adviser to both the first lady and the president … and she told Valerie that she would not accept the vice president’s spot. The lunch was ostensibly about other matters, but it came up. … Hillary felt burned out after four years as Secretary of State. But I’m told there were more important reasons for her not accepting.”

Klein said among the reasons that she would not want on the ticket is that she would be put in vulnerable positions, should she decide to run for president four years from now in 2016. He also went on to say,
“She felt that if she were on the ticket with Obama and he lost, she would be tarred as a loser when she tried to run in 2016. On the other hand, if she was on the ticket and he won, and he continued his far left-wing socialistic policies, she’d have to defend those policies when she ran in 2016.”
“You can assume if Valerie Jarrett is speaking to Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama — who is connected at the hip with Valerie Jarrett — knew all about this.”
“There is one caveat: If Obama gets in desperate straits and Romney and Ryan pull way ahead of him, and he and Bill Clinton team up and put pressure on Hillary, there’s still a possibility.”

More than likely Obama will stick it out with Biden, Klein said.
“I think they are stuck with him. I think they have to go with him, unless, as I say, Bill [Clinton] and Obama can team up on Hillary and say to her, ‘You’ve got to do this.’ She does not want to do it. He would like her to do it — her husband. But I don’t think she will.”
This doesn’t really come as a shock to anyone I’m sure. After all for the Democrats, they love Hillary. However, this revelation here comes on the heels of two huge gaffes by Biden, which have resulted in him being sent on a bit of a vacation from the campaign trail.
Also noteworthy is Sarah Palin’s admonition that Obama drop Joe and put Hillary on the ticket. Even she claimed that would be better for Obama.

A debate between Hillary and Ryan would have at least been interesting to watch. The one coming up between Ryan and Biden will not even be bearable I’m afraid. After all, it’s hard to debate when you are intellectually challenged.

The Picture That Will Burn Obama In November

Obama Presidential Seal Podium Speech SC 780x1024 The Picture That Will Burn Obama in November
A picture of “tens of thousands” of Barack Obama’s Chicago illegal aliens lining up to complete the process of “legally” stealing jobs from unemployed/underemployed Americans will prove the adage that “a picture is worth a thousand words.” For Americans searching for work, this image has to be downright sickening. It will come back to bite Barack Obama in November.
Initially, when Barack Obama decided to use our money, our jobs, and our lives to buy Hispanic votes with his illegal amnesty of illegal aliens, it seemed like he had produced a stroke of genius. The media fawned over the president (don’t they always?), and all was well in Leftistville.  There would be an influx of once-illegal aliens who would now become newly registered Democrats. “So what if they’re not citizens – they’re Americans just like you and me!” the Democrats’ media cheerleaders told us. But alas for Team Obama, that was then, and this is now. This scheme promises to be yet another example of how adept Democrats have become at stomping around in the tall grass and finding rakes whose handles come flying up to hit them in the face.

The law of unintended consequences
All the flowery heart-breaking language about people “being forced to live in the shadows and now finally being able to step into the sunlight and reveal their presence” will do JUST THAT. They reveal themselves and remind us they are here and should be sent home.
The latest polling on what is important to  likely voters done in June shows that just 5% are concerned about immigration issues, and it ranks fifth of eight issues. BUT the number one issue is JOBS, a concern for more than 1/3 of those surveyed.
This stunt has catapulted illegal aliens back into the consciousness of likely voters. Obama has taken an issue that was not on voters’ minds and slammed us in the face with it. Coupled with worry over how to get back into the workforce,  pictures of tens of thousands of Obama’s illegal aliens lining up to now LEGALLY steal the  few hard-to-find jobs that still exist have elevated a “nothing issue” to a major issue.
This was another mistake by Team Obama.

Want to really defeat Obama?~Cancel your Progressive Insurance Policy!

Progressive Insurance: Cancel your policy!

Peter Lewis, the hidden George Soros.
If you have Progressive Insurance, you are indirectly donating to the progressive agenda of the likes of George Soros and the hard far left. If you are for conservative values and against a liberal/progressive central government, you need to cancel your Progressive Insurance policy now. Find a local agent and get a new, probably cheaper policy. Support your local businesses.
FoxNews, why do you accept advertising from Progressive Insurance? I swear I see at least 20 adverts per day... and I don't watch all day! Is it time for us to start an e-mail campaign to compel FoxNews to drop Progressive Insurance?
Peter Lewis, Progressive Insurance Companies Donations
America Coming Together and (with George Soros matching his $10 and $2.5 million, respectively)

Peter B. Lewis gifts $8 million to ACLU
Cleveland-based philanthropist and chairman of the Progressive Corporation,
Peter B. Lewis, recently made a donation of $8 million to the American
Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). It is a gift with "no strings attached" for
the ACLU to use as it sees fit, says national ACLU spokesman Richard

Lewis' donation is the largest in the history of the organization, topping
his own previous gift to the ACLU of $7 million in 2001 and a $7 million
match he made to a donation by the Ford Foundation in 1999. Lewis, an ACLU
member since 1972, approached the organization with his desire to donate
the money, Alleyne says.
During the 2004 election cycle, Lewis was the second leading donor to the non-party organizations known as "527s" -- named after a section of the U.S. tax code that permitted unlimited "soft money" donations to groups pledging to use the funds not for the "express advocacy" of any particular political candidate, but rather for "voter education," "issue-oriented" political advertising, and other nebulous enterprises. Lewis donated nearly $23 million to such organizations in 2004, including $16 million to the Joint Victory Campaign, $2.9 million to America Coming Together, and $2.5 million to Move On.Org.

Along with George Soros, Lewis is a key financial supporter of Democracy Alliance and Media Matters for America.
Now you know why it's called "Progressive". It's not progressive insurance.. it's a front for Progressivism. Your monthly payment is supporting their causes.

A typical slogan used by liberals, progressives and community organizers, as well as Cynthia McKinney and the Green Party. In reality, the parties and ideals they support take power from the people and give more of it to the government!
Another thing to think about... I find it disturbing that they already know everything about the customer that walks in the door. Could they be connected to that national health care database that Obama, GE and the progressives want?

Flo (Stephanie Courtney) is much prettier as her self.

Obama Demands Court Uphold His “Right” To Ignore Constitution

by: Doug Book
obama speech 7 SC Obama demands court uphold his “Right” to ignore Constitution
Obama’s Department of Justice is demanding a federal judge dismiss the injunction with which she sought to uphold the constitutional rights of the American people.
On May 16th, federal judge Kathleen Forrest granted a preliminary injunction to plaintiffs in a lawsuit filed against Barack Obama and the National Defense Authorization Act of 2012 (NDAA), striking down those sections of the Act that provide the president the power to indefinitely detain American citizens without benefit of their 5th and 6th Amendment rights.

Under the terms of the Act, Obama had been given exclusive authority to direct members of the US military to arrest and imprison anyone he believed to have “substantially supported” al Qaeda, the Taliban, or “associated forces.” When pressed by plaintiff’s attorneys about the practical extent of this authority, government lawyers admitted “…the NDAA does give the president the power to lock up people like journalist Chris Hedges and peaceful activists,” admitting that “…even war correspondents could be locked up indefinitely under the NDAA.”
And when asked by the judge what it meant to be an “associated force”, Obama’s lawyers “…claimed the right to refrain from offering any clear definition of [the] term, or clear boundaries of the president’s power under [the] law.” In short, it is the federal government’s scheme that the Act remain so vague that a corrupt and power-hungry Administration may imprison virtually anyone it considers a threat to its pursuit of absolute power.

On July 25th, Administration lawyers filed papers demanding Judge Forrest’s preliminary injunction NOT be made permanent. In the filing, Obama made it clear his Administration would ignore the court and its injunction regardless of what the judge may decide, claiming incorrectly that “…[the] injunction would have ‘nil’ effect, for the government would continue to possess the identical detention authority under the 2001 Authorization for Use of Military Force…” Of course, that is a lie, as the AUMF applies only to known members of al Qaeda or the Taliban.
Most indicative of the Obama Administration’s contempt for Judge Forrest, the law, and the American people was government attorney Benjamin Torrance’s claim that it was “the Obama Administration’s position” NDAA detention provisions do not apply to American citizens living in the US. Judge Forrest responded by quoting Chief Justice Roberts, who wrote in a 2010 case that the Supreme Court “…would not uphold an unconstitutional statute merely because the government promised to use it reasonably.” So much for Judge Forrest’s faith in the validity and value of Obama’s signing statement promise to not employ his Section 1021 authority to indefinitely detain the American public!

Yet incredibly, when pressed on the issue, this Obama mouthpiece suggested to Forrest that concerns about the president’s detention powers were excessive as American citizens would, after all, have the ability to file  a writ of habeas corpus should they be illegally or improperly jailed! “How long does [such a] petition take,” asked Forrest? When Torrance refused to answer, the Judge continued, “Several years, right”?
So not only did Obama’s attorney lie about his Marxist boss’s corrupt intentions; he actually claimed that the abuse of American citizens was somehow acceptable because those unconstitutionally imprisoned might ask that the charges against them be produced after ONLY a few years behind bars!
Judge Forrest will soon decide whether to make the injunction permanent. Every citizen must watch very carefully for that ruling, as the “mainstream” media has ignored the story completely. We must all hope the Judge will not be intimidated by this corrupt Regime as so many of her colleagues have been before her.

Why he's the 1st 'gay' president

Deja vu rings a bell dating back to Hitlers SA/SS troops:

by: Jerome R. Corsi
In the wake of a Newsweek cover proclaiming Barack Obama as the “First Gay President,” the Lesbian & Gay Victory Institute has published the names of more than 250 openly LGBT (Lesbian-”Gay”-Bisexual-Transgender) professionals appointed by the Obama administration to federal government policy jobs.
The institute said the long list means the Obama administration has set a record for appointing more openly LGBT individuals to the federal government than all previous administrations combined.
In an “outing” move that would have likely drawn criticism if published by someone else, the names were released under the headline, “The Presidential Appointments Project,” an effort started in 2008 by the Lesbian & Gay Victory Institute in conjunction with some 20 other LGBT advocacy groups aimed at increasing the number of openly homosexual persons receiving presidential appointments to government posts.
Asked why the Lesbian & Gay Victory Institute published the names of LGBT appointees under the Obama administration, the group’s spokesman, Denis Dison, vice president of communications, said LGBT applicants applying under the Presidential Appointments Project have given permission to make their names public.

“These are all people who have applied through our program,” Dison said, claiming that more than 3,000 LGBT applications have been received so far by the organization for the approximately 7,000 positions throughout the federal government open to presidential appointment.
As seen from an examination of the list, the Obama administration LGBT appointments range throughout the federal government, from inside the office of the president to multiple government agencies and the federal judiciary.
On Oct. 26, 2010, Sam Hananel of the Associated Press reported that, less than half-way though his first term, Barack Obama already had appointed more openly “gay” officials than any other president in history, with “gay” activists estimating more than 150 appointments at the time, surpassing the previous high of 140 reached during Bill Clinton’s two full presidential terms.

Obama smashes record for LBGT appointments
The Gay & Lesbian Victory Institute website said, “To date, the Obama-Biden administration has appointed more than 250 openly LGBT professionals to full-time and advisory positions in the executive branch,” and said that was “more than all known LGBT appointments of other presidential administrations combined.”
Central to the effort to expand the number of LGBT presidential appointments, the Lesbian & Gay Victory Institute offers itself to serve “as a talent bank for openly LGBT professionals seeking opportunities to improve our federal government policies and processes.”
Inviting LGBT candidates for federal government jobs to file a resumé with the Presidential Appointments Project, the institute provides a link for applicants to upload resumés electronically.
Only openly LGBT individuals seeking an appointment to federal government positions are encouraged to submit resumés to the “Presidential Appointments Project:”
Whether you are a recent graduate or a seasoned professional, if you have ever considered public service, now is the time to share your experience and give our community a voice at the table.
In addition to full-time appointed positions, there are opportunities to serve on boards, advisory committees and grant renewing groups across the country. These bodies make recommendations on how government can work better, smarter and more efficiently.

In a “Frequently Asked Questions” segment of the Gay & Lesbian Victory Institute website, candidates are encouraged to follow these guidelines in posting their resumés:
  • List your professional experience in reverse chronological order, starting with the most recent.
  • Provide bullet lists for each experience that highlight specific skills, inputs and outcomes with quantifiable metrics.
  • If applicable, include the size of your budget and the number of staff for which you were directly responsible for managing.
  • Be sure to include any public service at the local, state, or federal levels of government or volunteer service with non-profits.
  • Do not include references or salary information. Generally, purpose or objective statements should not be included.
Dison explained to WND that the first duty of LGBT applicants seeking presidential appointments for available federal positions would be to apply for those positions directly.
“Those submitting resumés through us are letting us know what types of jobs they are interested in, so we can also advocate for them,” Dison explained. “Sometimes the applicants contact us and say they are interested in us promoting them for a particular position. Other times, it works the opposite way, and we notify applicants positions appropriate for them may become available.”
Dison also explained to WND that the White House will reach out to the project in search of candidates with a particular skill set.

He denied that the Presidential Appointments Project seeks to obtain federal appointments to government positions for LGBT candidates on the basis of sexual preference.
“Our applicants do not get a federal appointment unless they are qualified for the positions they get,” he insisted.
Dison also acknowledged that the Obama administration has politically appointed positions.
“At the highest reaches of the Obama administration the president has put a premium on having a diverse administration that, as he puts it, ‘looks like America,’ and that includes LGBT people,” he said.
An LGBT political agenda to oppose Romney/Ryan?
Dison denied the institute has a political agenda to support the Obama administration.
“We only work with openly LGBT leaders,” he insisted. “We are a 501(c)3 organization and [don't] do any political work. We intend to work with Democratic or Republican presidential administrations, whoever wins the next election.”
Still, on Aug. 11, the day Romney announced his pick of U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan for his VP slot, Dison posted several anti-Romney, anti-Ryan comments on his Twitter account.
As seen in Exhibit 1, Dison posted two comments, one demeaning the Romney-Ryan ticket as “good hair, bad ideas,” and the second suggesting that Ryan’s record would restrict freedom for LGBT individuals.

In a third Twitter post, as seen in Exhibit 2, Dison attacked Ryan for lacking private sector experience in a partisan suggestion that Obama’s years as a community organizer in a Saul Alinsky-oriented organization represented superior qualifications.

Obama LGBT appointments to U.S. military
In line with the ending of the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy of the U.S. military, Barack Obama also has appointed openly LGBT individuals to key military positions.
On Aug. 3, the Obama administration announced the intention to appoint openly “gay” nominee Eric Fanning as the next undersecretary of the Air Force.
Fanning, who currently serves as deputy undersecretary and deputy chief management officer of the Department of the Navy, will be responsible as undersecretary of the Air Force for the organizing, training and welfare of more than 333,000 active duty men and women, 178,000 Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve members, and 182,000 civilians and their families.
On Aug. 11, Brig. Gen. Tammy Smith became the first openly LGBT officer to be promoted to the rank of general.
According to a Los Angeles Times report, during a promotion ceremony at Arlington National Ceremony, Tracey Harper, the co-founder of the Military Partners and Families Coalition, placed the first star on Smith’s uniformed shoulder, acknowledging her partner’s official appointment to the rank of an Army brigadier general.
“With that simple gesture, Brig. Gen. Tammy Smith became the country’s first openly gay general,” reporter Laura J. Nelson wrote.

In June, the Pentagon for the first time in the history of the U.S. military celebrated LGBT Pride Month with a ceremony that was broadcast on an internal TV network to U.S. military bases around the world, featuring pre-taped videos from Obama and Defense Secretary Leon E. Panetta.
In a presidential proclamation published on the White House website on June 1, Obama declared June 2012 as “LGBT Pride Month,” and wrote: “Since I took office, my administration has worked to broaden opportunity advance equality, and level the playing field for LGBT people and communities.”
The presidential proclamation cited as achievements the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” as well as Obama’s open declaration that he now believes “in marriage equality for same-sex couples.”
LGBT Victory Institute names names
The Gay & Lesbian Victory Institute published a list of names identifying the 250 openly LGBT individuals appointed to federal government positions by the Obama administration since Jan. 20, 2009.
The source of the list can be found on the “Presidential Appointments Project” web page of the Gay & Lesbian Victory site.

National Review's Rich Lowry Destroys MSNBC's Rachel Maddow on Meet the Press

By Noel Sheppard

She's touted by the liberal media as one of the brightest commentators on television, yet MSNBC's Rachel Maddow got thoroughly demolished by National Review editor Rich Lowry on Sunday's Meet the Press.
When continually asked by Lowry to defend the President's $700 billion Medicare cuts in ObamaCare, Maddow repeatedly refused making herself look tremendously foolish.

RICH LOWRY, NATIONAL REVIEW: Republicans should go on offense on Medicare, because the president as part of ObamaCare passed $700 billion in cuts in Medicare. And Romney wants to repeal ObamaCare, including those cuts. So at the top of those…
RACHEL MADDOW, MSNBC: Wait, wait, wait.
LOWRY: Hold on. Hold on. So at the top of the ticket, Romney versus Obama, there's only one of those guys who wants any cuts affecting current seniors.
MADDOW: Wait, wait, wait, does Romney versus Ryan, then. The Ryan plan keeps the Obama cuts for Medicare.
LOWRY: The Ryan plan does…
MADDOW: So is it Romney or Ryan?
LOWRY: …mostly as a matter of just preserving the CBO baseline. But the top of the ticket is Mitt Romney. Mitt Romney wants to repeal those cuts, and the fact is, Rachel ...
MADDOW: That's amazing...
LOWRY: The fact is Rachel if a Republican were proposing $700 billion, had passed $700 billion in Medicare cuts, you'd be savaging that president for their brutality to seniors.

Indeed, as would the media. But instead of going after Obama for real cuts to Medicare, his media have and will continue to distort what's in Ryan's plan specifically to save the program.
[Editor's note: The Media's Top Ten Most Outrageous Attacks on Paul Ryan]
But I digress:
MADDOW: But what you're saying…
LOWRY: That is Barack Obama.
MADDOW: Is Romney running on the Ryan plan or not?
LOWRY: He's running on his own version of those ideas.
MADDOW: That’s amazing.
LOWRY: Paul Ryan is the second on the ticket.
Exactly. What doesn’t Maddow understand about who’s in charge on a presidential ticket? That would be the man at the top.
But this debate got better about ten minutes later:

LOWRY: And this whole idea of the Obama campaign and the Democrats have been pushing that Romney, because he hasn't said what deductions and loopholes specifically he's going to close, which no presidential campaign ever does, therefore he's going to raise taxes on the middle class to pay for lowering rates is an utterly fantasy made out of utter whole cloth.
MADDOW: What he, Paul Ryan was on the Simpson-Bowles Commission and dissented from it because it did raise revenue. He dropped out. He blew that up. He blew up the Gang of Six. He got zero Democratic votes for any of his budgets.
If only Lowry had mentioned that Obama didn’t get any Democratic votes for his own recent budget proposals. But I once again digress:
DAN BALZ, WASHINGTON POST: Not only because of revenue, but he dissented because he did not think it went far enough on healthcare.

DAN BALZ, WASHINGTON POST: Not only because of revenue, but he dissented because he did not think it went far enough on healthcare.
LOWRY: Right. And that's the key thing. Even President Obama, who's cut $700 billion from Medicare, which I guess you support…
MADDOW: Which Paul Ryan will keep doing…
LOWRY: Do you support $700 billion in cuts in Medicare over the next ten years?
MADDOW: I'm not running for president.
LOWRY: Do you?
MADDOW: I'm not running for anything. Paul Ryan is running for vice president.
LOWRY: Do you? Why can’t you answer? See, you can’t answer.
MADDOW: But wait, I'm not running for anything..
LOWRY: This is the key vulnerability. Democrats have cut $700 billion out of Medicare which you won't or can't defend it. Defend it.
MADDOW: Is it good or bad?
LOWRY: Do you support it? You can’t answer.
MADDOW: But wait. Why are you asking me?
LOWRY: You can't answer. Because you're an opinion maker who is supposed to give us your opinion. But you will not tell us what your opinion is.
MADDOW: What I want to know is the logic of…
LOWRY: Democrats cannot defend that.
MADDOW: Wait. I want to know is the logic…
LOWRY: Go ahead. Defend it.
MADDOW: What I want to know is the logic.
LOWRY: [Laughs].
MADDOW: Wait. Rich, hold on.
LOWRY: Answer me. You're not answering.
MADDOW: Can I say something?
LOWRY: Can you answer?
MADDOW: Can I say something?
DAVID GREGORY, HOST: Let her answer because I want to go back to Bill Bennett on something.

MADDOW: What I want to know is the logic of attacking somebody for something that you yourself are proposing to do? Paul Ryan proposes keeping those same cuts.
LOWRY: Mitt Romney is not doing it, and those are meat axe cuts. Can I make one last point? One last point?
GREGORY: No, no. I'm going to pull back on this. I want to ask Bill Bennett a separate question. This debate will go on.

Moments later, before answering Gregory’s question, Bennett marvelously said, “Yeah, just listening to Rich and Rachel reminded me of the Irishman who walks by a fight and says, ‘Is this a private fight or can anybody get in on it?' I’d like to get in on it for a second, but I'll answer your question.”
Actually, if Bennett would have joined this fight, Maddow might have sheepishly begged everyone to leave her alone like she did when challenged on HBO's Real Time two months ago.
As was evident once again, MSNBC's supposed brightest commentator doesn't do very well when there are folks on the set that disagree with her.
Maybe that's why her handlers rarely let that happen.
*****Update: Maddow took to Twitter moments ago to comment about this being posted by Drudge writing, "Ah, a Drudge link. Welcome, 3-day onslaught of ALL CAPS swearing misspelled tweets & emails informing me that I am gay."

Allen West punches back over Attack Ad..!

Congressman Allen West (R-Florida) is a pro-troop conservative freshman Member of Congress.  As an African-American former military officer with service in Iraq, he has been under constant attack by the left.  So it was not surprising to see the TV ad by the PAC headed by his opponent's father, depicting West as a boxer hitting women and seniors and stealing money from a family.  This ad shows the desperation with which the Democrats want to defeat West.

Above is an image of the ad being run by a PAC headed by West's opponent's father
This race becomes even more crucial with the news that the Rothenberg Political Report, which handicaps Congressional races across the country, has ranked Allen West as the most vulnerable GOP incumbent in the state of Florida.

Surely this news has given his opponents much to cheer and shown them that illegitimate attacks and character smearing lies may be working to get their candidate elected.

Allen West punches back over attack ad

By Kevin Cirilli August 10, 2012

Rep. Allen West hit back Friday against an attack ad in which a caricature of the Florida Republican punches a senior citizen and middle-aged woman.

“Where is the outrage from Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton and the NAACP about this?” West said on Fox News’ “Fox and Friends.” “They’re not going to say anything because they’re nothing but an effective wing of the Democrat party and they have effectively kept them well laced so they can continue to make sure that they have a black electorate voting bloc.”

In an email titled “Disgusting” and sent to supporters Thursday, West wrote: “The ad being run against me by my opponent’s family depicting violence against women and senior citizens is reprehensible. It plays on stereotypes and fear to divide Americans, and it cheapens the very real and tragic occurrences of violence against women and seniors.”

Politico - 8/10/12

Since Allen West came upon the political scene in 2010 he has been a popular punching bag for the left’s attacks while he has steadfastly stood up for our troops and given the halls of Congress a loud and proud voice representing our military and its interests; just as Move America Forward Political Action Committee (MAFPAC) predicted when we supported him in 2010.

He has been attacked by politicians such as Nancy Pelosi and Debbie Wasserman Schultz, insulted by comedians such as Bill Maher and Jon Stewart and harassed by his Democratic opponent, who called him a "coward."

Allen West won't stoop to the level of Maher, Stewart or his opponent, Partick Murphy, so it is up to us to fight these attacks and show the people of South Florida the difference between Allen West, an honorable veteran working to better this country and his opponent, an accountant who is more interested in gaining power for his family and friends.
Patrick Murphy is an accountant who works in the family business and has raised most of his campaign money from those close to his family’s business interests (or from left-wing Democrats eager to see West defeated). He has attacked Col. West as a "coward" while he himself has never served his country in the military and has no basis to make such an insulting claim.  This is the type of candidate Nancy Pelosi and President Obama support.

Allen West represents everything they fear: strong, fearless leadership ready to tackle real problems and say and do what is necessary to get the country back on track.  The choice is clear.

Please help us support Allen West so he can continue to serve in Congress:  PLEASE DONATE NOW !

Sarah Palin Says McCain Camp Didn‘t Have Her Back in ’08

By: Madelein Morgenstern
Sarah Palin Paul Ryan
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said Sunday she‘s excited about Mitt Romney’s selection of Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan as his vice presidential running mate, and predicted that it will invigorate Tea Party voters who were lukewarm about his candidacy.
“I think a lot of, maybe Tea Party patriots have understood, wisely, that they’ve had no choice — of course they’re going to go with anybody but Obama,” Palin said on Fox News. “And now yes, I believe there will be a strengthening, more enthusiasm.”
The 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee said a Romney-Ryan ticket “will certainly offer an alternative to the vision that Barack Obama and Joe Biden have for America.”

Palin said Obama’s philosophy is based on “growing government and taking away personal freedoms” while Romney and Ryan offer a “sound and secure vision for America that understands the free market, it understands what it takes to get the economy roaring back.”
“With Paul Ryan, who’s known for his conscientious concern for our budget and for getting America out of debt, this makes it tougher for Obama to do his continual distracting and dividing and pivoting off the economy because this ticket represents this campaign is about the economy,” she said.
Asked what Ryan and his family have to look forward to in their introduction on the national stage, Palin said he will be scrutinized and vetted, but that “there are a lot of us who will have his back and we will call out the media for their lies, for their distortion as they try to thrash his reputation and his record.”
Echoing themes she’s raised before, Palin said she felt Sen. John McCain‘s campaign staff didn’t always support and defend her in 2008.
“I felt, Shannon, that when I was thrust into that spotlight, didn’t have a whole lot of people in the McCain campaign who had my back and would correct the media because they had a lot of friends in the media and they wanted jobs with the media afterward — they didn’t really defend what I really stood for,” she said.

Will the Left and Right Attack Paul Ryan for His Support of Ayn Rand?

We now know that Paul Ryan is Mitt Romney’s VP pick. Shortly after Congressman Paul Ryan’s appearance at the 2011 Faith and Freedom Conference in D.C., a Bible-waving protester confronted the Chairman of the House Budget Committee and questioned him for modeling his proposed budget after “the extreme ideology of Ayn Rand rather than the basic economic justice values of the Bible.”
The protestor offered Ryan a Bible and advised him to “bone up on what it says about how we should treat the poor and vulnerable” with a specific “focus on the Gospel of Luke.” The protestor offered no particulars but I suspect that he was part of the “red-letter Christian” brigade of social activists who believe the Bible promotes a socialist form of economics. Ryan politely turned down the Bible. He told the protestor that he already had one.

The Bible does not teach socialism of any kind. The first directive of economics in terms of the Bible is found in the Eighth Commandment: “You shall not steal” (Ex. 20:15). This applies to governments, even if a majority of people empower the State to steal from some people so what is stolen (taxed) can be given to other people.

Are conservatives making a mistake by appealing to the works of Ayn Rand (1905–1982), a dedicated and proselytizing atheist whose personal life is not something that anyone but the most consistent libertine would want to emulate? Are any of Rand’s economic views unique to her? Do conservatives really need her writings when they have the works of Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams, Milton Friedman, and many others? Christians have written a great deal on the Bible and economics. Dr. Gary North has written an entire commentary on the Bible and economics — from Genesis to Revelation.

Rand is the author of a number of novels that illustrate an Objectivist Ideology that represent the morality of free-market capitalism and rational self-interest. Does one need to be an Objectivist to be able to account for the legitimacy of the free-market and economic self-interest? No.
Like today’s New Atheists, Rand advocated reason as the only means of acquiring knowledge and rejected all forms of faith and religion. She promoted rational egoism (an action is rational if and only if it maximizes a person’s self-interest) and rejected ethical altruism (individuals have a moral obligation to help, serve, or benefit others). In her 1964 Playboy interview, Rand stated, “Objectivism tells you that you must not accept any idea or conviction unless you can demonstrate its truth by means of reason.” But how does an atheist account for reason given materialist assumptions about the nature of reality? Reason is non-material. In addition, how does Rand know that reason is reasonable? She assumes the validity of reason. If she used anything else to prove reason’s validity, then that proof-point would be more foundational than reason. Her reason-only approach is circular.

Without a biblical worldview there is no way to account for the limited sovereignty of the individual and the inviolate sanctity of intellectual and physical property, themes expressed in The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged. Her atheism did not give her the needed foundation for such claims. She borrowed these foundational principles and separated them from their source. She’s like the “little girl who must climb on her father’s lap to slap his face. . . . [T]he unbeliever must use the world as it has been created by God to try to throw God off Hs throne.”[1] Her observational principles work in her system as long as the majority of people are not atheists.
