After the tragic news that a Malaysian passenger plane had been shot down by a surface-to-air missile, President Obama continued on his fundraising tour. He opened up his speech in Delaware, shortly after news of the devastating occurrence was reported, with only 40-seconds devoted to the major international crisis. Immediately thereafter, he proceeded to tell jokes and attack Republicans.
In that 40-seconds, Obama made the comment that the plane crashing into the ground ‘could be a tragic event.’ That statement brought criticism from even usual Obama sycophant Piers Morgan who called the president out on Twitter for his insensitive words and actions.

President Obama massively dropped the
ball just now. 23 Americans killed and he says 'it looks like a terrible
tragedy' then back to jokes?
Let me help, Mr President - it IS a
terrible tragedy, and it's more probably mass murder of your citizens
& many other nations' citizens.
Obama joked and went on a partisan attack in his first appearance after
the plane was shot down and refused to cancel his fundraisers that
night. Given these inappropriate responses, what do you think Obama
said on his official Twitter feed?
Did he offer condolences to the families of those who perished in the
crash for their loss? Did he offer an prayers for those who died? Did he
encourage people to have a moment of silence in honor of those 295 who
died, 23 of whom were reportedly Americans? Did he call out those who
shot down an unarmed passenger plane?
None of those things can be found on Barack Obama’s official Twitter feed. Check it out for yourself.
As with his refusal to cancel his high dollar fundraisers, his
failure to utter one word on Twitter or on Facebook, instead focusing on
his continued partisan division and cracking jokes in speeches, speaks
volumes as to Obama’s priorities.
