Another day, another concealed carry citizen saving lives.
In Orlando, Florida, a man who fortunately carries his gun with him wherever he goes, saved the life of another person after a crazed attacker stabbed him in the stomach several times.
Jeffrey Hopkins may not feel like it – but he’s a hero.
“… Jeffery Hopkins, jump(ed) from a car and hold the alleged attacker at gunpoint until deputies could arrive. He said the victim sat bleeding on the bus stop bench.

"He wasn't in that much pain, but
he kept holding his stomach because he was bleeding pretty good, like at
least four holes in him," said Macon.
Hopkins spoke to WFTV and said he just happened to be in the right place at the right time.
Hopkins a said at first he thought the man was being punched, but then noticed the knife.
When deputies arrived at the scene, a knife was on the ground next to the bench and they found another knife in the suspect’s pocket.
“As I was getting out, I noticed the guy had a knife in his hand so I went for my gun and took him down,” Hopkins said. “He looked at me very scared. Then realized I was serious and dropped the knife and laid down immediately.”
… “If it was my father or anybody like that out there getting attacked, people need to get involved,” Hopkins said.
Thomas Thorpe, 51, appeared before a judge and refused to have a lawyer represent him.
"Do you understand what an attorney is and what they do?" asked the judge.
"Yes, they screwed us," Thorpe responded.
Thorpe seemed in a hurry as the short hearing progressed, telling the judge he wanted to enter a plea without the assistance of the African-American attorney standing next to him.
"I said not guilty -- I pleaded not guilty and I don't want this negro standing next to me," Thorpe told the judge. "I don't want a negro standing next to me."
The judge expressed some concerns about Thorpe's mental health and he is now being watched as he sits in jail on attempted first-degree murder charges with no bond.

No matter Thorpe’s mental capacity, we
should all be glad that citizens like Jeffrey Hopkins are around to help
us defend ourselves. We at Eagle Rising would recommend that everyone
exercise their 2nd Amendment right to carry because you never know when you could be called on to save the lives of the people around you.
Remember, the police exist to investigate crime and mete out justice; they don’t stop crimes from happening – only the people who witness the crime can keep it from happening.
