Dear Fellow American, Thank God it's not Barney Frank! We dodged a bullet recently when Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick ignored Barney Frank's pleas to be named interim U.S. Senator after John Kerry was sworn in as Secretary of State. But we're not out of the woods yet. Believe it or not, Rep. Ed Markey, the Democrats' likely nominee in the special election, is even more radical than Barney Frank! And I don't have to tell you the last thing we need is another radical liberal ideologue in the U.S. Senate. The good news is that we can prevent Ed Markey from getting to the U.S. Senate, but I need your help. You see, to get on the special election ballot, candidates need to submit 10,000 valid signatures from registered voters by 5:00 PM on February 27. The Democrats are hoping in vain that it can't be done and that we won't have enough time. Collecting signatures sounds simple, but Massachusetts law makes it nearly impossible to succeed without hiring a professional signature collecting firm. That takes a lot of resources. Our goal is to raise $150,000 by midnight tonight to secure the resources we need to make sure we elect the right person to the Senate. And I'm counting on you. Will you make an emergency contribution of $25, $50, $100 or more to give us the resources we need now? Every dollar you give right now will go directly towards electing another Republican to represent Massachusetts in the Senate. Signatures are due to the Secretary of State in less than two weeks and then the race will begin in earnest. The clock is ticking, so your immediate support is critical. Winning this seat isn't as far-fetched as you may think. After all, Scott Brown won the special election to replace Ted Kennedy three short years ago, and he and Elizabeth Warren faced off in one of the most hotly contested races in the nation last fall. Trust me—there's a reason why the 2012 race was the most expensive in U.S. history... Democrats may have a significant voter registration advantage in Massachusetts, but voters are sick and tired of the partisan bickering and gridlock. This, combined with traditionally low voter turnout in special elections gives Republicans a great chance to pull off another upset. But every minute we waste talking about how we can win is one minute we aren't spending working to win this race. So please — RIGHT NOW — follow this link to contribute $25, $50, $100 or more to help send a conservative voice to Washington. Thank you in advance for your support. Sincerely, Sean Bielat Conservative Candidate for U.S. Senate Major, Marine Corp Reserve P.S. This race is critical because someone has to stand up to Obama and the Senate Democrats — and win! But in order to compete, we urgently need your help to raise $150,000 by midnight tonight.. Please follow this link to make an emergency contribution of $25, $50, $100 or more right away.
