"A Toledo Municipal Court judge who declined to marry a same-sex couple said . . . his decision was based upon his ‘personal and Christian beliefs.’ Judge C. Allen McConnell said in a written statement his refusal . . . followed his beliefs developed over many years."
I wonder if he could have used the same reasoning if a couple had come in dressed in matching Confederate Battle Flag outfits. Would he have been duty-bound to marry them?
“‘I apologize to the couple for the delay they experienced and wish them the best,’ Judge McConnell said. ‘The court has implemented a process whereby same sex marriages will be accommodated.’”
Judge C. Allen McConnell is black and heads up the local NAACP in Toledo.
Comparing same-sex marriage and same-sex sex with the struggles of blacks trying to secure equal rights including voting rights has become a popular tactic of the same-sex movement. Most African Americans are insulted by the comparison.
For all recorded American history, same-sex marriage was never considered. There was no basis for it constitutionally, morally, or historically. In fact, when President Obama ran for President in 2008, he came out against same-sex marriage.

Obama Meme same-sex marriage
[It was a lie...just told people what they wanted to hear in order to be electable Barry Barack is not a Christian was raised as a Marxist.Muslim]

So for hundreds of years in the United States (and most if not all countries around the world) same-sex marriage was not considered to be a legal or moral right, President Obama opposed it (as did Hillary Clinton), more than 30 states voted against it, and then a switch is turned on and same-sex marriage becomes the law of the land and everybody must accept what is immoral, unnatural, and unconstitutional.
As expected, pro-homosexuals want Judge McConnell impeached to make an example of him.

Impeach Judge

How many times were we assured by homosexuals and their supporters that legalizing same-sex marriage would not affect anybody opposed to same-sex marriage.
Tell that to the owners of Sweet Cakes by Melissa that have been fined $135,000 for refusing to bake a cake for a same-sex couple or the former CEO of Mozilla, Brendan Eich, who had been fired after it was revealed that he had donated to support Prop. 8, the California ballot initiative that barred same-sex marriage in California, a ballot measure that was approved by a majority of voters in the state.
Would the owners of Sweet Cakes have been forced to make a Confederate Battle flag cake?
