oped: Well Eric Donald wasn't my first choice...however he has been addressing the issues and giving specifics on his admins policies for the future on all subjects of importance to the electorate. And the electorate did choose him. Therefore I am on board...you also should be!

In February of 2008, Barack Obama told the nation that “words mean things.” But today, in a very petulant news conference, Barack Obama whined that Donald Trump wants him to say “radical Islam,” as if that will change anything.
I thought words meant things. Using the phrase “radical Islam” would do something. It would separate the radicals from the many muslims who are not radicalized and it would force groups like CAIR to pick a side. It would force sides where many people want to have it both ways, including Barack Obama. It would further define our enemy, which actually is ideological and not a nation state.
It is not a political distraction. In fact, it is something Americans in general have wished Barack Obama would do.
And now, like forcing Obama to cough up his birth certificate, Donald Trump has forced Barack Obama to say the phrase “radical Islam.”
It really is damn amazing. Despite my dislike of Donald Trump, the man has an amazing ability to force everyone else to play on his turf. For the second time in eight years, Donald Trump has forced Barack Obama to play Donald Trump’s game Donald Trump’s way. It is a skill few in the GOP have ever mastered and Trump has done it twice.
I may not care for the guy, but he should be commended for that.
