The hashtag #DemocraticWhores is trending on Twitter. The reason: a
surrogate of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) used it at a campaign rally. The surrogate, Dr. Paul Song, was bemoaning the politicians and corporations that are in bed with each other.
"Medicare-for-all will never happen if we continue to elect corporate Democratic whores who are beholden to big pharma and the private insurance industry instead of us," Song declared.
This did not sit well with supporters of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton:
Song later apologized for his remarks and clarified that he was not referring to Clinton:
