The Washington Standard reports
A Utah sheriff has put out the word that he will not allow his county to be overrun by the unconstitutional Bureau of Land Management and the US Forest Service, and has gone so far as to warn the BLM that he will “deputize everyone and arrest all federal agents” should they enter his county in a similar manner to that of those in Nevada and Oregon. Now to some this would be taking things too far. Who does this sheriff think he is to threaten federal agents with arrest?
Sheriff Marty Gleave has been serving the countsy he is in as sheriff for nearly 25 years. According to Gleave, all he has seen is that things “get progressively worse and worse and worse with the so-called land police.”
Well, the kicker is that he is right. There is no doubt that the intrusion of federal agents and agencies has gone way past normal. If we look to the Constitution, we find that it is not only abnormal, it is downright illegal.
The idea of federally controlled and policed lands is foreign to the Founding Documents. It runs counter to what our Constitution tells us about federal land. There is a limit to what the government can own and the reason for owning that land.
The Constitution reads
To exercise exclusive Legislation in all Cases whatsoever, over such District (not exceeding ten Miles square) as may, by Cession of particular States, and the Acceptance of Congress, become the Seat of the Government of the United States, and to exercise like Authority over all Places purchased by the Consent of the Legislature of the State in which the Same shall be, for the Erection of Forts, Magazines, Arsenals, dock-Yards, and other needful BuildingsOur government has become overgrown, and as the Standard reminds us, we have been warned what happens with overgrown governments.
Until we are ready to eliminate and decentralize the Beast, we don’t need to complain about it. The Beast has shed its chains and has shown us its true form. The People must either restrain it, which is unlikely, or kill it. There is no other solution.
We need more men like Sheriff Gleave. May God raise them up to stand and do their responsibility.
