Boehner: Could Jail Lois Lerner but Won’t; Waiting for Eric Holder to ‘Do His Job’

oped: Well John how about growing a pair of cajones' to go along with your boner...the simple solution would be to arrest both of them for the contempt charges and submit to the next inline acting Attorney General...send a message to all corrupt heads of departments that this will not be tolerated anymore!
You have the authority, either use it or step down and let someone who has cajones' take over the gavel!

Republican Speaker of the House John Boehner spoke with FOX News’  Sunday Morning Futures  with Maria Bartiromo on Sunday (Watch Video Below)  talking about the newly announced Select Committee to investigate Benghazi, as well as the Obama IRS targeting of American citizens for their political beliefs.
MARIA BARTIROMO:  Let me ask you about other facts that people want to know about, and that’s the IRS.  We know that Lois Lerner has now been held in contempt of Congress, refusing to testify on targeting of non-profit groups. What’s next, how does this…will there be a Select Committee there?

REPUBLICAN SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE, JOHN BOEHNER:  The contempt charge has gone to the attorney general. And it’s up to the Attorney General Eric Holder to prosecute this and to assign someone to prosecute the case.  Now, will he do it? We don’t know. The ball is in his court.

Boehner then is asked by Bartiromo if the House has the authority to arrest Lerner, the “retired” former head of the Obama IRS tax-exempt organizations division. Boehner responds that while Congress has the constitutional authority to arrest Lerner, he’s depending on corrupt Attorney General Eric Holder, who himself was held in contempt of Congress, to “do his job.”

Boehner, clearly uncomfortable with the question, as indicated by his sudden hesitation and stuttering at the question,  seems to say that because it hasn’t been done before, that therefore it can’t be done.

BARTIROMO:  But you can issue an arrest for her, right?

BOEHNER:  There’s a provision in the Constitution that has never been used…and uh, and so, that’s a…I’m not quite so sure, uh, we want to go down that path.

BARTIROMO:  So you’re not looking to do that?

BOEHNER:  No..I, I..it’s never been used.

BARTIROMO:  Why not?

BOEHNER:  Uh…I’m not the historian here. But it’s never been used and I’m not sure that it’s uh, uh, an appropriate way to go about this. It’s up to Eric Holder to do his job.
