Two members of the far-right Nazi Golden Dawn Party are dead and another is injured after a targeted attack, according to police reports in Greece.
Police said that the incident occurred on Saturday, and that the attacker shot his victims at close range before escaping on a motorcycle driven by an accomplice.
The shooter fired 12 rounds with a semiautomatic pistol in front of an Athens office of the Nazi Party. The shell casings came from the same weapon, which has not been used in any previous case, police said in a statement.
The shooting came amid a government crackdown on the party after the September fatal stabbing of an anti-fascist musician in Athens.
A supporter of the Golden Dawn Party has been arrested and charged with murder in this case, although the party has denied the allegations.
The gunman shot a fourth person, who was able to enter the local offices housing the Golden Dawn Party in the suburb of Neo Iraklio, north of Athens, escaping unharmed.
A video shows the attacker carrying a jockey cap, while the driver of the motorcycle was wearing a helmet.
Police identified the victims as Giorgos Fountoulis, 27, and 22-year-old Kapelonis Manolis. Golden Dawn has said that both were members of the party, but has called the 29-year-old injured man a fellow citizen.
