Democrats with such low standards that they don’t mind all the scandals in the Obama administration still acknowledge that President Obama could be greatly damaged from them. Because of this, they are telling conservatives and Republicans to stop talking about the scandals, but pretending that it’s for the GOP’s own good.
Caitlin Huey-Burns writes for RealClearPolitics,
“If party leaders have their way, controversy over the IRS targeting of conservative groups and the DOJ’s subpoena of
reporters’ records (mixed with the lingering specter of the Benghazi
consulate attacks) will consume much of the summer, with the scandals
driving a wedge between voters and the president’s party. ‘That could
happen,’ she admits, but then, adds, ‘What also could occur is that the
GOP’s zeal could backfire by galvanizing the Democratic base to defend a
man they see as being hounded by an obstructionist Republican Party.’”
Liberals really, really dislike dissent. That is part of what is behind the slanderous practice of labeling all dissenters racists.
Louisiana State Senator Karen Carter Peterson took to the state Senate floor to demonstrate. Speaking about opposition to “Obamacares,” as she called it, she said, “You know what? You ready? You ready, what it comes down to?” She begins to smile, as if she’s about to blow our minds like some pretentious college professor, as if we don’t already know what she’s about to say. “You ready? It’s about race.” Here she looks around the Senate with a grin, like she just stated something none of her fellow leftists has stated ad nauseum. “I know nobody wants to talk about that,” she continues. “It’s about the race of this African-American president.”
With Democrats running the show, “racism” has become a meaningless term, so it has become fruitless to try and explain to them that, no, it’s not racist to oppose catastrophic legislation.
So how about this: So what? So what if opposition to anyone or anything is racist? What is their point? The “racism” of conservatives and the damage that Obamacare has already begun to do both to the economy and the health-care industry are not mutually exclusive. Whether dissent is racist or not, the arguments against Obamacare still hold up.
So next time you’re called a racist for being a rebel, ask the accuser: What’s your point?
