Homosexual Couple Attempts To Force Christian School To Be Pagan

by

I don’t know how it is possible that Hope Christian School in Albuquerque, NM ever considered admitting the three-year-old boy into school, but when they discovered that he was being raised by “two dads,” they rejected his application. As much as it would have been wonderful to do whatever possible to disciple the child in the Faith, the legal mess would have been horrific. As soon as they taught the child about Adam and Eve, the “parents” would have been enraged and perhaps even gone to court. No pre-school wants to have to add a column in the budget for fending off homosexual litigants.
But it is now too late. The “couple” are suing anyway. They want damages, both compensatory and punitive. They also want the child to be admitted as a student despite the fact that the school openly states they are “open to students of any race, color, or ethnic origin who are looking for a Christian environment with an emphasis on teaching Biblical principles and truths along with strong academics.”

The men posing as “parents” are appealing to New Mexico’s Human Rights Act. Just as we have seen businesses move from blue states to red states, I can’t help but wonder if we are going to start seeing American Christian migratory patterns work the same way, with states lacking “human rights” legislation receiving Christian immigrants. If that happens, I have no doubt that some Christian leaders and pastors will preach against this as an offense to the Great Commission. Maybe. But maybe the proper Biblical principle to apply in this situation is “Come out of her, my people, so that you do not share in her plagues.” The bottom line here is that even when modern missionaries move to foreign countries, they typically maintain control of their children’s education.
Insisting the child be admitted makes the insidious objective of this lawsuit obvious: they want to control the schools beliefs and teaching. Christians have the liberty to think religious thoughts inside their own head, but they must not educate anyone else in them. They must submit to playing the role of pagans in public society. That’s the “tolerance” that the liberals offer.

It doesn’t help that the school, reportedly, received $61,455 in federal funds for 2012. The lawyers are now using that as an argument to paganize the school’s curriculum. I could easily spend space castigating the school for this. Taking that money was a wrong decision that was, at best, really naïve. But also realize that this shows how much Big Brother wants to bring us all into his big smothering family. If you think the people behind the decisions to provide that kind of federal loot to a Christian school did not have in mind the eventual ways that it could be used to paganize the school’s identity, you too are being naïve. This is just like the government is federalizing our police through the promise of funds, and just like Obamacare is being used as a weapon to paganize Catholic hospitals and Christian-owned businesses. This is all happening at about the same time and it shows a unity of purpose and vision.
Christians must continue to submit to the civil magistrates (the way the Apostle Paul did, which often meant going to jail for a failure to obey sinful orders), but we need to realize that “Culture War” is no longer a metaphor. All those tasers and electronic-shock bracelets and SWAT teams have a purpose. They are going to use the Pansexual Left and the courts to basically drive Christianity out of the culture at least to the inside of the walls of the churches.

There was always a case to be made against Federal funds, but now it is even clearer that they are poisoned fruit. Christian institutions need to realize that the Pansexual Left is on the offensive. Many more homosexual “parents” are going to be applying to Christian schools in other states in order to provoke these court cases.
Be alert and stay faithful.
