We're Talking About Sarah's Law

Godfather Politics email header
Unbelievable! The Obama Department of Homeland Security is now INSTRUCTING illegal aliens on EXACTLY WHAT THEY MUST DO TO AVOID DEPORTATION. Don't believe it? It's posted right on the U.S. Customs and Border Protection website.

The guidelines read, in part: "The policies provide that enforcement actions at or focused on sensitive locations such as schools, places of worship, and hospitals should generally be avoided..." and it just gets worse from there.

But that’s not all. Yet another illegal alien, after killing an innocent girl, is walking the streets today... set free mere hours after committing a dastardly crime.

And to make matters worse, simple and common sense legislation that was introduced several weeks ago to stop such foolishness... legislation that would easily pass if brought directly to the floors of the U.S. House and Senate... is STALLED IN COMMITTEE... not because of Democrat obstruction, but because so-called Republican leaders WILL NOT bring it to the floor. And that must change right here and right now.

We're Talking About Sarah's Law
The legislation in question (S.3124 in the U.S. Senate and the companion bill H.R.5646 in the House of Representatives) is named in honor of Sarah Root, a young graduate student who was literally mowed-down at a traffic light by a pick-up truck that was being driven by illegal alien and so-called DREAMER Eswin G. Mejia.

It was no accident. Mejia was street-racing on a residential road at over 70 mph and his blood-alcohol was three times the legal limit by the time police officers were able to give him a breathalyzer test.

And while Sarah Root was lying in a hospital bed, dying from her massive injuries, a judge released Mejia on $5,000 bail, and now, NO ONE CAN FIND HIM.

That's right, a criminal illegal alien, who has no business being here in the first place, is walking the streets, free as a bird, because apparently we don't have a law that mandates that an illegal alien, who is charged with a serious crime, should be detained by immigration authorities.

That's why Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA) and Congressman Steve King respectively introduced Sarah's Law in the Senate and the House.

But Sarah's Law has hit a big brick wall. As far as too many Republican leaders are concerned, it needs to die in committee without ever receiving a fair vote in Congress.

So what's the problem with our so-called Republican leaders? Why aren't they hustling this legislation to the floor of the House and the Senate?

Your guess is as good as ours, but perhaps their attitude is similar to their attitude when it comes to Kate's Law, the legislation named in honor of Kate Steinle, the young woman who was brutally murdered last year by an illegal alien.

According to Breitbart.com: "Speaker Paul Ryan has publicly said he will not push Kate's Law — another law named after another young woman killed by an illegal alien — because he doesn't want to 'clog' jails... 'What we have to figure out is how do we write Kate's Law so that we're not clogging up our jails so much...'"

We say... IT'S TIME TO CLOG SOME FAX MACHINES AND PHONE LINES.

Are we still living on the planet earth? More appropriately stated, are Republican leaders in Congress still living on the planet earth?

Apparently, it is better to allow criminal illegal aliens to clog our streets rather than clog our jails.

Amazing, isn't it? But, unfortunately not surprising... these are the same politicians who pushed through an omnibus spending bill that totally funded Barack Obama's illegal and unconstitutional executive amnesty.

And now, our government is funding efforts by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection to INSTRUCT ILLEGAL ALIENS ON HOW TO EVADE DEPORTATION.

Perhaps the problem is not that our jails are clogged. Perhaps our problem is that the Halls of Congress are clogged with too many duplicitous politicians. That is the message we need to send to these so-called Republican leaders.
