In May, 499 “Syrian Refugees” Entered the U.S. Guess How Many Were Christians?

The widespread persecution of Christians throughout the Levant has raised international awareness and action to rescue Christians who are facing near extinction at the hand of Islam. In communities were Christians lived in Syria for thousands of years, there are nearly none left. Either they are all dead or they have fled elsewhere.
Despite this tragedy, under Obama, less than one half of one percent of “refugees” being admitted to the U.S. are Christians.

Less than half of one percent.
CNS News recently reported that according to data released by the State Department Refugee Processing Center in May for example, 499 “Syrian refugees” were admitted into the U.S. “with no Christians among them.” Not one.
Of the 499, the State Department data states that 495 of these “refugees” admitted are Sunni Muslims. The other four identify as “Moslem.”

CNS News notes:
Since FY2016 began on October 1, a total of 2,235 Syrian refugees have been resettled in the United States. Of them, 10 (0.44 percent) are Christians: three Catholics, two Orthodox, one Greek Orthodox and four refugees identified simply as “Christian.”
The largest minority group in Syria has always been Christians who account for roughly 10 percent of the population. Before the conflict, Sunni Muslims accounted for 74 percent of the population in Syria.
Yet, according to FY2016 State Department data, 97 percent of the refugees admitted are Sunni Muslims. The remainder are Shi’a Muslim (17), “other Muslims” (27), Yazidis (10), and one refugee who identified as “other religion.”

The percentage of Christians being admitted as refugees into the U.S. is 0.4 percent. Less than half of one percent.

Under Obama, more Christians are being killed than ever before recorded in recent history throughout the Levant. Yet only 0.4 percent of them are being rescued. Instead, Obama is bringing in their persecutors and murderers at a rate of nearly 100 percent.
State Department data indicates this number dropped significantly over the last nine months. Last October, Christians represented 2.1 percent of the refugees being admitted.

CNS News reports that the 499 admitted in May “exceeds the total number admitted during the first three years of the [Syrian Civil War] conflict.”
And, under Obama, these “refugees” are being brought in greater numbers and at a faster pace.
Last February, the State Department created a “refugee ‘resettlement surge center'” in Amman, Jordan to increase and streamline the processing of exporting Sunni Muslims from non-Syrian countries and importing them into the U.S.
According to State Department Data, CNS News compiled the below graph, which details who is being admitted. The bar/color representing Christians is actually invisible.

Earlier this year, the Director of National Intelligence James Clapper testified before the U.S. Senate that ISIS was “taking advantage of the torrent of migrants [entering Europe] to insert operatives into that flow.”
Despite obviously noted threats, Obama’s accelerated process reduces the amount of time taken for “vetting” the refugees from 18-24 months to three months. The increased processing is not only increasing Sunni Muslim refugees entering the U.S., it’s increasing national security threats to American citizens. The exact opposite of what should be done.
Worse still, the U.N. refugee agency UNHCR acknowledged that Syrian minorities “fear that registration might bring retribution from other refugees” and Christians face an incredible disadvantage.

“Without doubt, Syrians of all confessions are being victimized by this savage war and are facing unimaginable suffering.
“But only Christians and other religious minorities are the deliberate targets of systematic persecution and genocide. It’s well-established that many religious minorities in Syria are very reluctant to register as refugees with the United Nations because they fear facing even more persecution.”
Yet, under Obama, less than half of one percent of the refugees being helped and entering America are Christians.
