As the city of Cleveland gears up for the Republican National Convention, concerns for the safety have been an issue.
From threats to oust Donald Trump as the expected nominee to the safety of those in attendance, security has been a major consideration.
Recent attacks on police have caused a rise in fears for the safety of law enforcement officers who have chosen to work the event, which runs Monday through Thursday.
However, in a clear show of support, citizens lined the streets of Cleveland on Sunday to show how they felt about law enforcement — and it was a sight to behold.

— MJ Lee (@mj_lee) July 17, 2016This is kind of support our officers need — especially when there has been so much anti-police rhetoric in the media, and savage violence against officers just doing their jobs.
Trump has decried the attacks on police and President Barack Obama’s lack of leadership when it comes to racial tension in the country.
The truth is, there can never be enough appreciation for law enforcement, who repeatedly put their lives on the line daily to ensure the safety of others.
No other groups commit to providing the public with this kind of protection, and cops should be commended for continuing to work despite recent shootings and threats against their lives.
To help ensure safety, the Cleveland police have asked for those in attendance to keep a sharp eye out and to report anything suspicious.
Let’s hope all the excitement at the convention remains on a positive level.#RNCinCLE tip line: 1-800-CALL-FBI. See something, say something.— Cleveland Police (@CLEpolice) July 18, 2016
