A "Reckless Disregard" for the rule of law..the Obama administration et al

Obama Embracing Role of Dictator Once Again » Obama dictator
Patriot,
Michael Barone, senior political correspondent for the Washington Examiner, recently wrote a hard-hitting look into what he describes as, "Barack Obama's 'Reckless Disregard' of the Law."

"Reckless disregard. It's a phrase in legal writing that means 'gross negligence without concern for danger to others.' And it's a phrase that characterizes much of the attitude toward law of an administration headed by a man sometimes described as a constitutional scholar."

In crafting his argument, Barone cites several examples of the impact "reckless disregard" has on systems, policies, and people...

"Amnesty: In an attempt to keep a campaign promise, our lawless president boasted, "I just took an action to change the law" when he issued an order barring prosecution of millions of illegal immigrants. The order's disregard for current laws has wreaked havoc on our judicial system, handcuffed federal, state, and local law enforcement and immigration officials, and put the lives of those millions of immigrants in a heightened state of uncertainty.

ObamaCare: More than three dozen times he has unilaterally ordered non-enforcement of politically problematic provisions. And the entire structure of the act is in peril because of one of those actions in the King v. Burwell case heard this week by the Supreme Court.

Marriage: Adding to his list, our nation has been in legislative and judicial chaos since the Obama administration 'deemed' that the Defense of Marriage Act was unconstitutional and refused to uphold the federal law, which led to a hearing at the Supreme Court. The majority Justices, in utter judicial hubris, misguidedly ruled that they could redefine 'marriage.' The lives of tens of millions of Americans on both sides of this issue have been impacted by the Obama administration's 'reckless disregard' for the rule of law."

Now, in "reckless disregard" of Congress, the Obama administration's FCC has seized control of the Internet. The President is targeting the Second Amendment though the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (BATF). Executive Orders are being considered on IRS regulations, which will raise taxes. And new EPA mandates will further hurt the coal industry and harm American businesses and business owners.

+ + In light of our President's contempt for any law that stands in the way of his agenda, we need strong congressional representation that will stand up to the Obama administration and uphold the Constitution and the rule of law.

Sadly, as we have seen over the first 60 days of this Congress, key leaders have abdicated their constitutional authority to a power siphoning, tyrannical regime. This spineless abdication must stop now!

We are calling on tens of thousands of American patriots to rise up and demand that our lawmakers hold the Executive branch accountable, as we will, in turn, hold them accountable.

Liberty Counsel's Mandate to the 114th Congress declares in no uncertain terms that we expect them to Stop our Lawless President.

It is time that we, the people of the United States, demand that the Executive Branch returns to the rule of law - and the Legislative Branch starts hearing us! We elected them. Elections have consequences.

Thank you for your patriotic response,

Mat Staver, Chairman
