Your Vote Doesn't Count as Hollywood Pours Money into Democrat Campaigns

Two big stories hit the internet today. The first one is how corporations, special interest groups and, well connected individuals are manipulating the political scene.
The following study from professors from Princeton and Northwestern Universities on “Testing Theories of American Politics: Elites, Interest Groups, and Average Citizens” is getting some attention. It asks, “Who governs? Who really rules? To what extent is the broad body of U.S. citizens sovereign, semi-sovereign, or largely powerless?”

“The statistical research looked at public attitudes on nearly 1,800 policy issues and determined that government almost always ignores the opinions of average citizens and adopts the policy preferences of monied business interests when shaping the contours of U.S. laws.”
“The study's findings align with recent trends, where corporate elites have aggressively pursued pro-amnesty policies despite the fact that, according to the most recent Reuters poll, 70% of Americans believe illegal immigrants ‘threaten traditional U.S. beliefs and customs,’ and 63% believe ‘immigrants place a burden on the economy.’”

The same day the above article appeared about the study, another article, unrelated to the first one, proves the point. While the media have been focused on the suicide of liberal comedic icon Robin Williams, news is coming out on how the Hollywood elite are pumping money into Liberal Democrat campaigns. Who are they?
“Hollywood stars are opening their wallets this election season to help finance Democrats’ campaigns nationwide in hopes of keeping a party majority in the Senate, with Kentucky Democrat Alison Lundergan Grimes receiving the lion's share of the money.

“Actors Ben Affleck, Nicolas Cage, Danny DeVito, Cameron Diaz, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Garner, Tom Hanks, Jerry Seinfeld, Mike Myers, Jack Black, and Jon Hamm. In addition, producer J.J. Abrams, along with directors James Cameron and Steven Spielberg also gave the maximum $5,200 donations.
“But those aren't Grimes’ only donors. Woody Allen, Leonard Nimoy, Ted Danson, America Ferrera, Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, DreamWorks CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg, and ‘West Wing’ writer Aaron Sorkin have also opened their wallets for her campaign.

“Barbra Streisand, once again, is one of the key Hollywood donors this election season. She's given $10,000 to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and $2,600 to House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.”
This short film clip will explain it all:

Hollywood is one of the most guilt-ridden industries in the country. These people make tens of millions of dollars while tens of millions of average schlubs eke out a marginal living. So instead of using their wealth to create jobs, they instead elect politicians who will use the force of law to compel us to be charitable. That way these Hollywood types can sleep at night believing that liberalism absolves them of voting for liberty over compulsion.
