Increasing calls to Impeach Obama

The Huffington Post reported today that two-thirds of Republicans they surveyed want Barack Obama removed from office. Yet, GOP leaders are hesitating to take action to impeach America's Campaigner-in-Chief. Instead, they're sticking to their pledge to file a lawsuit against Mr. Obama, rather than draft Articles of Impeachment. Yesterday, Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-VA) told ABC News' "This Week": "We are not working on or drawing up Articles of Impeachment. The Constitution is very clear as to what constitutes grounds for impeachment of the president of the United States. He has not committed the kind of criminal acts that call for that." While I, and millions of other Americans, disagree with his assessment of the Obama presidency, Rep. Goodlatte did throw his support behind Speaker Boehner's impending lawsuit against America's Campaigner-in-Chief, saying: "On the other hand, we do believe that the President is not enforcing the law. And there's a wide array of issues, not just immigration, where we believe that. And that's why the speaker, and many of us in the Congress, are getting ready to take legal action." But the truth is that Speaker Boehner and Judiciary Chairman Goodlatte should be bringing Articles of Impeachment against Barack H. Obama, in addition to pursuing the GOP lawsuit. Conservative Americans are speaking loudly and clearly that they want an end to this lawless presidency. The Speaker insists that his resolution isn't about politics. Rather, it's about protecting the Constitution. But if he wants to do the best thing possible to protect one of America's foundational documents, Mr. Boehner should work with the head of the House Judiciary Committee to immediately draft Articles of Impeachment against a president who has repeatedly failed to fulfill his oath to "preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution"! Our Campaigner-in-Chief's long train of abuses against the American people deserves much more than a lawsuit  to stop his lawlessness. Below are just three (of the many) "high crimes" of Barack H. Obama. Each is a potentially impeachable offense that Chairman Goodlatte and Speaker Boehner appear to be ignoring, or at least downplaying: President Obama has either refused to enforce or has unilaterally changed laws he disagrees with in order to accomplish his stated goal of "fundamentally transforming the United States of America." The President committed a treasonous act by releasing five high-risk Taliban leaders -- men who, Mr. Obama admits, could "absolutely" return to terrorist activities. America's Campaigner-in-Chief has repeatedly lied to cover up or hide the truth about Benghazi, ObamaCare, and the IRS scandal. Speaker Boehner and Chairman Goodlatte have the power and the reported support of many GOP colleagues to subject Barack H. Obama to a congressional inquiry to determine if he should be impeached.
