What We Should Ask Our 144 Soldiers Of Liberty To Do Now

by
When you get knocked down, you have two choices: see it as an excuse to feel sorry for yourself, or see it as a reason to get up and fight. The only way we can survive is to stand and fight. The capitulation vote told us that we may have 144 actual conservatives we can call our Soldiers of Liberty (SoL). They were the House members who voted “No” on the cave. We can argue over the purity of their motives later; but for now, we have to consider them SoLs. Now, we have to clearly spell out what we want from these Soldiers of Liberty.
Here are just a few suggestions.
We need each to join us by saying and adhering to the words of Edward Evert Hale: “I am only one, but I am one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something. And because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do the something that I can do. What I can do, I should do. And what I should do, by the grace of God, I will do.”

Each SoL should hold town hall meetings to teach and explain conservatism and why what is happening is unconstitutional. Each should take a turn at using the one minute speech system on C-SPAN to do this as well. During each speech, the phrase “Where are the jobs, Mister President?” must be said; and once a week, the U6 numbers should be explained.
The RNC must fund media buys to advertise these one minute talks, and the ” teaching conservatism” local meetings and social media has to be used to spread this word. People don’t trust the media (not even Fox); so saying they can get the unfiltered truth at C-SPAN can be very effective.  Using tearjerker stories to show how bad it is, at every opportunity, our Sols must remind Americans that Democrats now own Obamacare.
In the first weeks of this plan, SoLs should read off a list of Obama’s vicious stunts during his shutdown

Once a week, one of our Sols must introduce one bill that would repeal the medical device tax and another separate bill to force Congress and Obama to enroll in Obamacare. These are the soft spots in the liberal’s position. We win them, and we can start to demand that Sebelius gets fired. A SoL should sue Sebelius to force compliance of the Income Verification for Obamacare concession we won.
Since John Boehner illegally bargained away the House’s Constitutionally mandated oversight of federal spending, he must be sued; and the Supreme Court must be forced to rule on this outrage.
We must ask Ted Cruz to sacrifice any future White House plans. If he does, it stops the attacks and accusations that he is just trying to build a base for a run in 2016.
