SARAH PALIN CALLS ON OBAMA TO STOP CHRISTIAN BASHING

Just like the state it calls home, Fort Hood is big. The Killeen, Texas post is the largest active duty armored post in the U.S. Due to the quality of life offered to soldiers and their families, Fort Hood is nicknamed The Great Place. Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin discovered the people based at Fort Hood are worthy of the tag "great" as well.

In a Facebook post, Palin wrote:

"I had the honor of visiting Fort Hood in 2009 during the "Going Rogue" book tour and meeting some of the great men and women in uniform who serve our country there."

She went on to feature an article from Todd Starnes about a shocking pre-deployment briefing at Fort Hood. During that briefing, troops were told that evangelical Christians and the Tea Party were a threat to the nation.

Palin expressed outrage. "Not only is such a thing unfathomable, but as shocking is that the Commander in Chief has not used his authority to stop this nonsense. I think the troops at Fort Hood who lived through a terrible act of terrorism a few years ago know better than most that Christians aren't the ones using religion as an excuse to attack our nation."

On November 5th, 2009, former Army Major Nidal Hasan went on a shooting rampage at Fort Hood, killing thirteen people and wounding dozens more. One of the individuals killed was a pregnant mother who's unborn baby also died.

The Muslim terrorist said he was “defending his religion.”

In the article highlighted by Palin, Starnes writes about a soldier who attended a briefing earlier this month and said the counter-intelligence agent in charge of the meeting talked at length about how evangelical Christians and groups like the American Family Association were “tearing the country apart”. The soldier, who fears repercussions, is not identified.

Another soldier also spoke to Starnes and said while Christians were targeted at the briefing, next to nothing was mentioned about Islamic extremists. The soldier also said those in the pro-life movement were painted as radicals.

Palin is calling on President Obama to put a stop to such discriminatory speak toward Christians in our military. The White House has yet to respond.
