Have Terrorists Infiltrated Our Military?

Since 2001, the US military has been heavily infiltrated by terrorists. The identified Dallas shooter, Micah Xavier Johnson, was an Army veteran turned Black Supremacist who then went on to murder 5 police officers on July 7th. He displayed adequate tactical knowledge that enabled him to prolong his fight with the police. He was eventually brought down by a robot strapped with a claymore mine.

This is not the first time that a veteran has turned rogue and joined terrorist organizations. In March, a former US Airman tried to join ISIS by going to Turkey and attempting a border crossing. He was caught before he could leave the United States, and was convicted for 35 years in prison. A US Army veteran from Washington also attempted to join ISIS, and was caught in an FBI sting.

Back in 2009, a muslim US Army Major named Nidal Hasan shot up Fort Hood, murdering 13 fellow soldiers. He was radicalized, but somehow was not detected by the US military until it was too late.

It was already reported that gang members have infiltrated all branch of the US military. Neo-nazis, black power gangs, and muslim radicals all have a presence in the military - either to do harm to the US Armed Forces' mission, or to get military training for future illegal operations. It is not known yet if Johnson became a black supremacist after his time in the military, or if he purposefully entered the military to become a killer.

The United States government is having a serious problem of seditious elements within its ranks - between violent terrorists and those who leak classified material like "Chelsea" Manning. It's time to rethink how to weed out hostile elements from our own ranks.
