Homosexuals To Christians Bakers: ‘We Will Burn Your House Down, Sodomize Your Son’

Homosexuals To Christians Bakers: ‘We Will Burn Your House Down, Sodomize Your Son’
By Constitution.com

The Christian Herald reported that Texas-based bakers, a Christian couple, Edie and David Delorme, recently declined to bake a wedding cake for two homosexual men because of their religious beliefs. In response, they began to receive harassing threats on their Facebook and Yelp pages.
“Our son got a call where they threatened to burn our house down and violate him with a broken beer bottle. That was probably the worst,” Mrs. Delorme told Fox News. The Delormes also have an 8-year-old daughter.
The Delormes own Kern’s Bake Shop in Long View, Texas. In mid-February, homosexuals, Ben Valencia and Luis Marmolejo inquired about buying a cake for their wedding. When Mrs. Delorme realized the cake was intended for a homosexual wedding, she politely refused.

She told Fox News, “We don’t do cakes that might conflict with our spiritual convictions. It was not something personal against the two young men. We just need to be able to run our business in a way that honors God.”

According to their attorney, Michael Berry, she referred them to several local bakers who could help them. He remarked, “It was pretty civil,” and the two men said, “‘Okay’ and left.” Berry also described the type of harrassment the Delormes have experienced. He told LifeSiteNews:

“The Delormes property has been damaged. They’ve experienced minor vandalism at their home, including their mailbox being destroyed. We reported both the vandalism and the threats they have received to the Harrison County Sheriff. The Sheriff’s office sent a deputy to talk to the Delormes and they are now patrolling the area to make sure no additional acts are perpetrated against the Delormes.
“We hope everyone will approach this situation with tolerance and respect. In a diverse society, people will have differences of opinion. We need to protect diversity of thought and the right for people to disagree peacefully. It would be very inappropriate for a lawsuit to be filed. Both state and federal law protect the Delormes’ right to operate their business according to their faith.”

In addition to not serving homosexuals, the Delormes have also consistently refused to bake cakes that celebrate or include alcohol, tobacco, gambling, or risqué-themed cakes.
