The “religion of peace” has struck again, murdering at least 86 innocent people in Maiduguri, Nigeria over the weekend.
Nigerian media is reporting that on Saturday night Muslim terrorists from Boko Haram marched into a village in Nigeria where some 25,000 refugees had been relocated and began shooting. The terrorists also firebombed huts with homemade incendiary devices, and at least three suicide bombers detonated themselves amongst the terrified populace. The attack continued for almost four hours, and the survivors’ stories are as horrifying as you can imagine.
The militants drove into the village in two cars and on several motorcycles, and immediately began shooting and setting homes on fire. A spokesman for the Nigerian military, Colonel Mustapha Ankas, described how the carnage unfolded.
"While people were running for their dear lives ... three female suicide bombers attempted to make their way into the crowd ... and subsequently got blown up," Ankas told the media. Another government official on the ground in the aftermath said that there were 12 bodies burnt beyond recognition. "We can't even pick those ones, they were seriously burnt.”
However, the worst part of this ordeal may be what witnesses report is the most haunting part of the attack. As the firebombed huts and homes burned, surviving villagers say the screams of the burning children were the loudest sound in the night. It seems that yet again, the Muslim terrorists have managed to surprise and dismay with the level of devastation that just a few of their number were able to cause. The sheer inhumanity of the attack is staggering, as at least 86 people have been found dead and many of their deaths were too horrible to imagine.
This was the third attack that Boko Haram has unleashed in Nigeria over the last week, and unsurprisingly all of the attacks were carried out against the weakest in Nigerian society. Boko Haram prefers to attack soft targets like churches, marketplaces and refugee camps. Over the last week, more than 100 innocent people have been murdered by the evil terrorists of Boko Haram -- and they show no sign of slowing their destructive rampage.
But of course, this is not supposed to be “real” Islam. Sure, across every majority Muslim nation in the world violence against non-Muslims is a regular occurrence. Sure, in every majority Muslim nation, non-Muslims hold a lower place in society than Muslims. Sure, in many nations where a significant Muslim population exists danger of Muslim violence has become commonplace (think Nigeria and Germany). But the liberals tell us that nothing Muslims do actually represents Islam. I’m not sure what they think Islam is, but it’s definitely not the stuff that Millions of Muslims do. Weird, right?
