The “Faith” Of Barack Obama

Faith allows people to know what evil is. Ideology allows people to justify evil. The faith of Barack Obama is overshadowed by ideology. Those close to him spiritually say that he attends church as often as he can and that he deals with people as Christians ought to deal with people. He has even had Easter services and prays with people. For all I know, he may actually be a Christian. To try and handle the problems of this country and the world, you need God’s help.
Our first President was a man of faith. He should have died several times during the French and Indian War (and also the Revolutionary War.) An Indian chief said that some of his warriors shot at him. But the bullets only left their marks on his coat. He was able to have all his troops ferried across the East River to Manhattan successfully without the British knowing they had slipped away. When morning came, a thick fog rolled in to hide the last boats. His victory in Trenton after Christmas in 1776 was a miracle that helped convince the French to help us defeat the British. Surviving Valley Forge that winter with most of his troops intact allowed this nation to outlast the British and defeat them. Washington’s faith helped establish this young nation as one that would be here for years to come as long as we put our faith in God to sustain us.

The faith of Lincoln and his confidence that God would allow us to once again become a united nation after the Civil War and that blacks would eventually become citizens kept this nation from permanently being divided into the Federal States of America and the Confederate States of America. Our enemies could have used such a division to their advantage to keep us weak. Instead, for the next half century after the Civil War, the United States went from being a strong nation to becoming the strongest nation in the world. And even when our economy collapsed and forces that could have destroyed our way of life were defeated, the faith our citizens had in God kept this nation one that lived up to its motto of “In God We Trust.”

In Obama’s case, Islam and Marxism have determined his actions and thinking. I will compare his Christianity with mine. I have been a Christian for over half a century and was brought up in a Christian home that has voted mainly for Republicans. My grandparents on my mom’s side of the family hated FDR because they were farmers when he was President (and he had farmers plow under crops, dump milk, smash eggs, and kill livestock at a time when people were starving.) The Department of Agriculture wanted to increase the price of food sold by farmers by decreasing its availability. When you consider the rate of inflation and the costs farmers are faced with, they make less now than they did 80 years ago. When my grandparents came out to New York to visit with my family, there was no way they wanted to see the Roosevelt mansion in Hyde Park. They didn’t like him when he was alive, and they didn’t like him after he was dead.

I oppose abortion because it is the extermination of an innocent life. Obama even supports the killing of babies who were supposed to die during an abortion. I am a strong supporter of Israel because the Jews are God’s chosen people; and they have been permanently established in their homeland of Israel, never to be removed again. Obama seems to be willing to allow the enemies of the Jews to determine their future in the land God promised to them. I believe in spreading the Gospel to everyone without restraints. Obama too often sides with those who attack Christianity. I believe in independence from government control as much as possible and keeping most money I earn. Obama believes in an all-powerful government that can seize our money “for the good of the citizens.”
What I dislike most about Obama is his desire to lie to the people (and probably to himself.) A Christian would abstain from lying as often as possible. Obama has made it an art. With the problems associated with Obamacare, his art is becoming more like finger painting than skilled brush strokes. It will take a strong Christian to undo the mistakes Obama has made in office. The ideology that compels Obama to lie appears to overshadow his faith as a Christian (if he truly is one, of course.) The Bible says that we will know them by their fruit. It looks as if the spiritual fruit of Obama is either spoiling or rotten to the core.
A person can claim to be a Christian. But if his actions don’t prove he is a Christian, his words are little more than hot air in a stuffy room.
