Determined not to let a British soldier who had been violently attacked die alone on a London street Wednesday, a mother and daughter braved the suspected killers still standing nearby in order to stay by his side, the Daily Mirror reported.
Gemini Donnelly-Martin, 20, and mother Amanda Donnelly, 44, talked to one of the suspects and then tended to the victim, Drummer Lee Rigby, according to the Daily Mirror. They prayed and Amanda cradled him.
“We did what anyone would do,” Gemini told the Mirror. “We just wanted to take care of the man. It wasn’t brave. Anyone would have done it. It had to be done. They (the killers) said women could pass.” …
