Do You Want a President Who Snorted Cocaine, Drank to Excess, and Hung Out with Communists or a Prankster?

by: Gary DeMar
Some of you will say “Neither.” I get the point. But for the sake of argument to show how journalism has sunk to a new low, indulge me a little.
The Washington Post went back to 1965 to find some dirt on Mitt Romney that they could publish that would disqualify him to be president. That’s 47 years ago when he was a teenager! And what did the “journalists” at the Post find that was disqualifying? He was involved in a minor hazing incident and some pranks. For a different take on Romney’s high school years, see the article in the June 2012 issue of Automobile Magazine.
Let’s put Mitt Romney’s pranks in perspective next to what Barack Obama admits he did. This is from Ben Shapiro at Breitbart:Obama, by all accounts, was a habitual drug user in high school. He tried cocaine, he admits in Dreams From My Father; he “tried drugs enthusiastically.” The Chicago Tribune reported back in 2007 that Obama thanked the “Choom Gang” in his high school yearbook; “chooming” was Hawaiian slang for smoking pot. The Honolulu Advertiser reported that Obama’s senior portrait “prominently displayed . . . a package of ‘Zig-Zag’ rolling papers and a matchbook.” . . .
In his memoir, Obama talked about routinely getting high. “Junkie. Pothead,” he wrote. “That’s where I’d been headed: the final, fatal role of the young would-be black man.”

I suspect that Obama learned from Bill Clinton, the master of obfuscation, when he said that he “did not inhale.” Obama did more than inhale; he made sure to draw it in deeply.
There’s also Obama’s truth telling about shoving a little girl named Coretta and eating a dog, a Golden Retriever, nonetheless.
Obama wasn’t much of a student either. It’s really hard to confirm his comments about his academic work since no one has ever seen any transcripts!
Then there are Obama’s Communist ties. It’s one thing to experiment with drugs, but it’s another thing to drink deeply from a philosophical system that is contrary to the Constitution he took an oath to uphold. The youthful Obama hung out with noted Leftist radical Bill Ayers and Frank Marshall Davis. You may not know much about these two men. “In 1969 [Ayers] co-founded the Weather Underground, a self-described communist revolutionary group that conducted a campaign of bombing public buildings during the 1960s and 1970s, in response to U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War.” Ayers is married Bernardine Dohrn, who also was a leader in the Weather Underground organization. Here’s what she said after learning of the brutal Tate-LaBianca murders in 1969: “First they killed those pigs, then they ate dinner in the same room with them, then they even shoved a fork into the pig Tate’s stomach! Wild!” She claims she was being “ironic.” Former Leftist radical David Horowitz’s accounting of Dohrn’s comments are important:
In 1980, I taped interviews with 30 members of the Weather Underground who were present at the Flint War Council, including most of its leadership. Not one of them thought Dohrn was anything but deadly serious. Outrageous nihilism was the Weatherman political style.
Does any of this matter to the liberal establishment? Yes! Obama is one of them!
