Dear President Barack Obama,
As a citizen of the United States, I am guaranteed the right to demand that you prove that you meet the qualifications to serve as President of the United States. The First Amendment says that I not only have the right to free speech, but I also have the right to petition the government for a redress of grievances and I am exercising those rights here and now.
Ever since you announced your candidacy for president back in 2007, there have been questions about your birth and whether or not you actually meet the requirements of being a natural born citizen. Five years later, there is still a cloud of controversy surrounding your eligibility and you have done nothing to make that cloud go away. In fact, all you have done is to make the cloud grow bigger and denser by not only refusing to give proof of your eligibility but by your efforts to hide and protect your background.
I could spell out all of the questions and uncertainties surrounding your eligibility, but you know what they are.My grievance that I would like to address is with your refusal to comply with the U.S. Constitution, federal and state laws that demand that you provide the necessary documentation required to prove your eligibility. If you do meet the eligibility requirements, then why have you gone to such extremes to hide your information? Why did the state of Hawaii have to pass legislation specifically designed to hide your records?
