President Barack Obama has been hailing his administration’s deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding its nuclear program as “historic.”
He’s not wrong. It’s a historic deal, alright. Historically stupid.
Further evidence of that fact — should any be needed — came in the form of a Tweet from Iran itself early Saturday morning:
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the second “supreme leader” of the nation of Iran, tweeted this picture of what appeared to be the silhouette of President Barack Obama holding a gun to his own head in a suicide attempt.
“We welcome no war, nor do we initiate any war, but if any war happens, the one who will emerge loser will be the aggressive and criminal U.S.,” the full quote attributed to Khamenei said in the graphic (H/T The Blaze).
The Iranian leader has often taken to Twitter to blast U.S. and other world leaders, even immediately following the completion of a deal between his nation, the United States and several other world powers:
This is the man with whom President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry believe we have struck some kind of grand bargain to keep a nuclear weapon out of the hands of radical Muslims and preserve peace in the Middle East.
I guess it makes as much sense as anything else this administration has tried to do. Unfortunately, that’s not saying much.
