Oh really Paul and how did you come to that conclusion?...being that you never served in the military..and who are these mysterious Military leaders you claim to have discussed the issue with? Maybe you should talk to the troops who have to share intimate quarters with those out of the proverbial closet..ya know sleeping quarters, showers, toilets etc...we the people are really tiring of flip/flopers... I voted for ~before~ I voted against crowd ! DADT was fair and was working just fine...now the radical Islamists are on a rampage being that Homosexuality is punishable under Sharia law! Easy for y'all to say it's ok when y'all don't have to battle radicals!

(CNSNews.com) - Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin, the Republican vice-presidential nominee, told a West Palm Beach, Fla., television station over the weekend that he is now okay with homosexuals in the military and does not want to reverse the repeal of the Don’t Ask Don’t Tell policy.
“I talked to a lot of good friends of mine who are combat leaders in the theater, and they just didn’t think the timing of this was right to do this when our troops were in the middle of harm’s way in combat,” Ryan told WPTV Saturday, when asked about the one-year anniversary of the repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell.
“Now that it’s done, we should not reverse it. I think that would be a step in the wrong direction because people have already disclosed themselves.”
“I think this issue is past us,” he added. “It’s done. And I think we need to move on.”
Ryan voted in 2011 against the repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell--and in favor of the military policy that homosexuality is incompatible with military service.
