Let's be honest and address just who this would benefit....well it would only benefit those earning over 100K per year...thats just the plain hard truth! All the talking heads on @foxnews praise this as if it were the most fair and balanced tax plan of the century....easy for them to say being that they all earn over 100K per year!
So to be fair and balanced I suggest if they really want this plan it should exempt all necessary Life support products such as utilities,food,housing,basic transportation,fuel,insurance,medical and clothing ..tax the hell out of luxury products all ya want...we the working/retired class can't afford them anyhow.
The problem with our economy is government spending way beyond rational uses...do away with entitlements that cover non citizens (welfare/ medicaid for illegals)...and stop stealing from the Soc Security retirement accounts...
It would also be wise to eliminate foreign aid to all countries...we can no longer afford this luxury as well as supporting the UN...and by all means stop all unecessary grants for rediculous projects that benefit no one but those scamming the grant system...this would be a good start to recovery!
Now to address the so called flat tax...this is fine as long as a couple earning 40K or less and a single earning less than 20K is exempt from this tax...as they cannot qualify for home loans and barely make ends meet...so let's be really fair and address the issue so everyone has a fair and balanced chance in life!...Flat tax rate should be 20% for those earning over 100K...10% for those earning 40-100K . 5% for singles earning 20-40K
