A Livingston, Montana man has been faced with fines of $85,000 by the Food and Drug Administration for developing and selling topical bloodroot and graviola products, even though no one was injured in the process of either the manufacture or sale of the products.
Toby McAdam, owner of Risingsun Health, whose website is BloodrootProducts.com, manufactured black salves, oils and capsules as a treatment for diseases, including skin cancer.  In 2010, the US Justice Department brought a case against him and his company on behalf of the FDA.

McAdam did claim that some of his products did treat breast cancer, asthma and epilepsy, according to the FDA.  Understand there is a significant difference in claiming to "treat" a disease, and claiming a product "cures."
Understand, as I've pointed out before, that our Constitution does not allow the central government to be involved in approving drugs or food.  Second, there was no crime committed here because there is no victim.  The central government is acting as both victim and prosecutor, which is a serious conflict of interest, something that Ammon Bundy attempted to demonstrate during the Malheur Wildlife Refuge occupation in Oregon in 2016.

The Montana Pioneer reports on what took place:
The case was resolved when McAdam signed a consent decree on Nov. 4, 2010, that barred him from manufacturing and selling unapproved new drugs and products with unsubstantiated medical claims. The consent decree also required McAdam to hire an independent expert to review the claims made for future products and to certify that all claims violating FDA regulations have been omitted. McAdam further agreed to provide for monetary damages if he continued to violate the court order.
Although manufacturers of dietary supplements and topical therapies are not required to obtain FDA approval, products with unsubstantiated medical claims are considered new drugs and therefore require considerable proof of safety and effectiveness prior to sale and distribution. The FDA contends that the “new drugs” sold by Risingsun Health are unsafe and ineffective in treating the diseases they claim to treat.

“The FDA is committed to ensuring that consumers do not become victims of false cures,” said Deborah M. Autor, director of the Office of Compliance in FDA’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, in an Oct. 13, 2010, press release.

“I’ve done everything the FDA wanted me to do in the consent decree,” said McAdam in an interview with the Montana Pioneer, “including obtaining an outside expert to review the labels.” He said he sent the new labels to the FDA for review, but that he never heard from them.
McAdam said he was forced to sign the consent decree and disagrees with portions of it, particularly a section that indicates the FDA would issue approval for his products if he provided accurate labels that did not make unsubstantiated medical claims. “They are supposed to put it in writing,” said McAdam.

But, according to the FDA, McAdam has never been in compliance with the court order, nor does the FDA issue approval for dietary supplements. The FDA states that McAdam failed to cease operations per the orders of the consent decree despite several warnings and that they never received any certification by an outside labeling expert. Furthermore, the FDA found McAdam in violation of several new claims and statements made on his website bloodrootproducts.com.

McAdam claims that the black salve significantly reduced tumors on his mother who had lung cancer, reduced a tumor on his dog to a quarter of the original size and that his products were used by a doctor in treating actress Suzanne Somers when she had cancer.
Mr. McAdam claims that the FDA began targeting him in 2006because of the 2004 conviction of Greg Caton, who owned Alpha Omega Labs, which manufactured products, including black salves, that actually injured people, leaving them severely burned.
“And now,” says McAdam, “the FDA wants to ban all black salve sales, “but,” he says, “my products are a different formula and only cause tingling of the skin” rather than the severe burns Caton’s products caused.
McAdam requested to be compensated $8,000 per month since Nov. 5, 2010, for lost revenues and to be reimbursed for his expenses in hiring an outside labeling expert for $3,600, according to the FDA.
He said he would not pay the fine, and had hoped to expand his company to employ 2-300 people and boost the local economy.  Sadly, that did not take place.

In March 2015, the Ninth Circuit affirmed the 2013 ruling that McAdam was guilty of civil contempt by selling his products online via Amazon and Facebook, issuing nearly $85,000 in damages and attorney's fees.

In July 2015, the DOJ stated it was pursuing criminal contempt sanctions against him for "selling dietary supplements and drugs in violation of two court orders."  Think of the irony of that!  An Attorney General, who was himself in contempt of Congress, was pursuing a man for making a natural product that had harmed no one and was claiming criminal contempt.  Eric Holder would resign his position just two months later.
In December 2015, McAdam plead guilty to one count of criminal contempt of court, sentenced to four months in prison, ordered to pay $80,000 in liquidated damages and $4,936.48 in attorney's fees.
What damages?  Who was harmed by his product?
All of this sounds strangely family to that of Samuel Girod, the Amish farmer who is now facing 68 years in prison for producing a natural product that harmed no one.
As for the FDA's hypocritial claim that they made claims about helping others without proof that the FDA claims is valid, remember, this is the same FDA that approved this $7,800-a-month alleged lung cancer drug, which caused rashes and rarely worked.
The FDA has a history of approving drugs that have no only not worked, but made people sick, even kill tens of thousands of people every single year.  That's according to the FDA's own website. 




Where is the criminal prosecution against every member of the FDA?  Where is the complete elimination of the unconstitutional agency?  I hear crickets!  Yet, men who have actually harmed no one are imprisoned and fined beyond comprehension.  This is a travesty and outrage.
McAdam's site seems to be in standby mode for the time being.  Mr. McAdams was contacted by email to be interviewed for this article, but as of the time of this writing, I have received no response.

An expert involved in the approval process for the human papilloma virus (HPV) vaccines Gardasil and Cervarix, is speaking out about the dangers and why you shouldn’t risk your child’s health in getting them.

Diane Harper, M.D., professor and chair of the department of Family and Geriatric Medicine at the University of Louisville, revealed at the 4th International Conference on Vaccination that HPV vaccines are essentially worthless, because rates of cervical cancer in the U.S. are extremely low anyway.
Her speech was intended to promote the benefits of vaccines, but she changed her mind and went in a different direction in an effort to “clean her conscience about the deadly vaccines,” according to The Daily Sheeple.

Dr. Harper, a former vaccine research scientist for Merck, said she wouldn’t be able to sleep at night unless she aired the truth about HPV vaccines.
In her speech, given in Reston, Virginia, she said that 70 percent of all HPV infections resolve themselves without treatment, and 90 percent do so within two years.

This is yet another reason why the Food and Drug Administration should be abolished.  A 56-year-old Amish farmer is now facing 68 years in federal prison because he made a natural health product.
Samuel Girod is the father of twelve and grandfather of 25.  He produces natural products in his own kitchen.  Since 2015, he has been facing a 12-count federal indictment.
WKYT reports:

Girod's troubles started back in 2013 when someone reported his products to the state health department in Missouri.
A federal judge in Missouri put an injunction in place, banning Girod from making some of his products until he met certain conditions. Part of those conditions were inspections of the property where Girod made his products which is where Kentucky comes into play.
Girod's makes his products on the family farm along Satterfield Lane in Bath County.

"I think everybody in the community has heard about it," said Bath County resident, Suza Moody.  "I can't even figure out what he has done wrong.  They live at the foot of the cross and the thought of one of them intentionally doing something wrong is outrageous."
"They are just devastated. I mean when they brought him out in handcuffs. It was awful," said family friend, Sally Oh.
One of his products is called Girod's Chickweed salve.  It's made with Rosemary, Beeswax, Olive Oil, Peppermint, chickweed, Eucalyptus, Lavender and Comfrey.
According to Ms. Oh, the FDS took issue with the labeling of the product. 

It said 'Chickweed Salve' up top, then on down said 'Cures Cancer,' she explained.  "Which for some people it did, but he can't say that. So he changed it to say 'Healing Chickweed,' but they said no you can't say healing. So now it just says 'Original Chickweed.'"
"I mean do you go to jail because you've messed up a label on a product?" asked Moody.  "I thought you went to jail because you did something bad. I mean he mislabeled something? I doubt he knew any better."
Girod has been making the product for over 20 years and sold it in small convenience stores.
The Lexington Herald Leader reports, "The grand jury indicted Samuel A. Girod on a dozen charges, including conspiracy, distributing misbranded drugs and threatening a witness to try to keep business documents away from the grand jury. The witness-tampering charge, the most serious, carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison."

It's also alleged that he did not register his facility with the FDA.  According to the FDA,
Dara Corrigan, associate commissioner for regulatory affairs for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, and David M. Ketchmark, Acting U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Missouri, announced today that U.S. Marshals have seized drugs being held by Notions-n-Things Distribution of Bogard, Mo. Yesterday's seizure follows a civil forfeiture complaint that was filed in the U.S. District Court in Kansas City, Mo.  Federal marshals seized more than 1,600 containers of products that allegedly violate FDA approval and labeling requirements.

U.S. District Judge Gary A. Fenner of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri signed the seizure order on Tuesday, March 27, 2012. The seizure covered three products: Chickweed Healing Salve, allegedly marketed as a skin cancer treatment containing comfrey; To-Mor-Gone, which allegedly claims to cure cancer and other diseases; and R.E.P., which allegedly claims to cure stress headaches and sinus infections, but contains no ingredient information on its label.

FDA requested the seizure, the complaint says, because the products claim to treat or cure diseases but have not received FDA approval, and are not exempt from such approval requirements. Moreover, the complaint says, the seized products contain ingredients that could cause toxic or allergic reactions in consumers sensitive to these ingredients. According to the federal complaint, Chickweed Healing Salve contains comfrey, which may increase the risk of systemic toxicity, and To-More-Gone contains bloodroot, a caustic, corrosive substance that produces a thick scar that can mask tumor recurrence. In addition, the seized products are “misbranded” under the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act.

Dara A. Corrigan, associate commissioner for regulatory affairs, said, "“Two important protections for the public are that a firm may not sell new drugs unless they have been tested and approved by FDA and a firm may not make false or unsubstantiated claims about drugs they sell.  When a firm disregards these protections, it not only violates the law but also creates a risk for consumers, who may rely on a bogus product and forego effective and proven treatment. FDA must and will take aggressive enforcement action.”
Oh, you mean like the FDA's approval of this $7,800-a-month alleged lung cancer drug, which caused rashes and rarely worked?  Yeah, I understand completely now.
No one was injured or harmed by Girod's product.  In fact, many people testify that they were helped by it.  Fine.  I ask the FDA how many drugs they approve that have tremendous side effects, including death, but they are just fine approving it, as long as it's on the label.  How does that actually protect anyone?
The FDA should be abolished right along with the other unconstitutional agencies of the central government and Mr. Girod should be freed to live his life and make his product.  No crime was committed.  If someone believes that he committed fraud against them, that is what the courts are for and restitution could be made.  However, sending this man to prison is not justice, it's hypocrisy when the FDA is allowed to basically engage in far worse behavior. Buyer beware, I say.

Back in July, I reported that five holistic doctors had met untimely and suspicious deaths within 30 days and that five more were still missing. Within days of that report, two more doctors were also found dead under suspicious circumstances, which made 7 inside of a month. Now, within the span of 90 days, eleven doctors have been found dead under suspicious circumstances, and just prior to the writing of this article a twelfth holistic doctor, Marie Paas was found dead due to an apparent suicide.
The woman who broke these stories, Erin Elizabeth of Health Nut News, spoke to Luke Rudkowski and recounted that three of the doctors were found outside in the woods, who died of alleged suicide, four established murders and several who died suddenly for no apparent reason. Even family members have questioned their deaths since autopsies don't seem to confirm a reason for their deaths.

Family members of several of the doctors have spoken to Erin and she says that they really want to get to the bottom of what is going on. She was also able to connect several of these families so that they can share information and be supportive of one another.
So, what makes the work that many of these holistic doctors so important?
Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez was a very well-known doctor and author who had helped many of his patients survive cancer. We're not talking about through major surgeries and the such and we aren't talking about surviving easily treatable cancers. In fact, Erin referenced that at his funeral, former actress Suzanne Somers said that there were several survivors of late stage cancer present.

"There was patients there who are still alive today, years later, who had late stage… like pancreatic cancer, which is almost, you know, most people don't survive that… the survival rate is very low," she said. "And I have people writing me every day telling me they were cured by these doctors, especially Nicholas Gonzalez, who was an expert in his field."
While Dr. Gonzalez's death was reported a heart attack, the autopsy failed to confirm that and as of today, Dr. Gonzalez's death is a mystery.
As for three of the doctors who were found in the woods, Mrs. Elizabeth said, "It started with Dr. Bradstreet, who was found in a river, but it was secluded area. Then there was Dr. Jeffrey Whiteside, who was found, they looked for weeks and weeks… he was with his family and then just walked away and was found weeks later with a gun by his side and they immediately called that a suicide, and even the local news there said that they made a mess of the investigation."

"And then the last one was someone we knew, Dr. Mitch Gaynor, who was from New York City," she added. "He was found dead in the woods… outside his house. They called it a suicide, but there is still an ongoing investigation."
One of the most perplexing questions is that many of these doctors were also authors and had been on television. Yet, with all of their notoriety, the mainstream media has failed to bring their deaths to the forefront in top news stories.

Elizabeth recalled that when Dr. Bradstreet died, she recalled a national publication attempting to discredit him as a doctor. Apart from Dr. Bradstreet, the only other doctor in this list to make national headlines has been Dr. Teresa Sievers, who was bludgeoned to death in an upscale neighborhood.
So, the question is, what connects these doctors together and why have they all died in a such a short amount of time?
According to Ms. Elizabeth, cannabis oil was promoted by many of the doctors, and so was gcmaf, which has been shown to help people with autism or cancer. She doesn't claim that there is necessarily a connection, but her message is for people not to live in fear because if the deaths of these doctors were connected and there were orchestrated hits on them, then those behind them would obviously look for people to be afraid.

"I don't want people to be afraid," she said. "I want them to feel, especially doctors, who write me everyday and say that they're fearful, I really admire those who aren't afraid… keep practicing and stay strong and be aware, but don't be frightened. Don't be afraid and go into hiding because I really believe that the only way that we're going to prevail with this is to stay strong and stay united."

The North Carolina legislature is about to prohibit us common people from talking about food and health because only doctors can be trusted.
You would think, with a presidential candidate using a non-FDA-approved diet, that this kind of thing would go away.
Instead, I think we are about to see many attempts to suppress people from taking care of their own health under the color of that euphemism for tyranny—“public health.”
Thomas Jefferson had it right: “Was the government to prescribe to us our medicine and diet, our bodies would be in such keeping as our souls are now.” I believe he was speaking in a context where he thought the souls of his time and place were languishing under tyranny. The quotation got paraphrased in the late nineties as: “If people let the government decide what foods they eat and what medicines they take, their bodies will soon be in as sorry a state as are the souls of those who live under tyranny.”

Someone in North Carolina wants that outcome and has enough influence to possibly make it happen. And you can’t assume that it will stay in North Carolina. Like Common Core, lobbyists are perfectly capable of going state by state with an anti-First-Amendment template for the legislatures to pass. If North Carolina sets a precedent it makes their job easier.

Good luck, the Dietetics Board of NC can, and likely will, sue you. If you check out that link to the Bill, scan down to the bottom, you will see what becomes illegal with the enactment of this Bill. At one point it was the “practice of dietetics” however that has been changed to “medical nutrition therapy.” Since life itself can be labeled a “medical condition” it provides a remarkably invasive reach for the The North Carolina Board of Dietetics/Nutrition. 


You may remember that I posted about the evil Dietetics Board of North Carolina when they failed their attempt to stop Steve Cooksey from blogging and coaching people on the paleo diet 


In that case, the Dietetics Board backed down and re-wrote their own guidelines because they knew they couldn’t go up against the First Amendment. But now they are hoping the North Carolina legislator will provide them with cover.
There is a struggle emerging between the old guard of academia/medicine and the emergent, decentralized networks that provide arguably superior information. Academia clearly has it’s place, although I am continually pushed to define or understand exactly what that role is other than protecting hegemony. I put much more faith in markets, self-experimentation and outcome based medicine. That position absolutely FREAKS OUT anyone who is an entrenched academic. Well, tough. Dietetics, as it is currently practiced, is an appalling failure. An auto-mechanic who understands the rudiments of ancestral health is more valuable to our populace than 10,000 RD’s who promulgate the same tired crap. To some degree, this is exactly what is happening. The old guard is getting crushed in a market-based sharing of information and their only response is to make a political/legal power-grab. NOT change their broken, archaic methodology. Instead, they work to create a legal barrier that prevents people from sharing simple solutions to complex problems 


You only have to remind yourself of Michelle Obama’s starve-the-students lunch program to know that our government has dangerous ideas it wants to impose on us. But people are pushing back and educating themselves, even to the point of driving up the price of butter. As I wrote before:

And what about Michelle Obama? She said that moms were confused and bewildered in the grocery store so that they needed better guidance from food labels. But the market doesn’t show us noticeable confusion. It shows us people who disagree with her and who have, despite economic difficulties, expressed their preferences with their pocketbooks. Instead of the low-fat directions from the government, they are looking for sources of food that are high in fat.

But, of course, the bureaucrats want us confused and bewildered so they can “help us”—after they have made all the real help illegal.

Leonard Nimoy's Heartbreaking Battle With COPD

oped: while I agree totally with Leonard Nimoy advising anyone to quit smoking as it does contribute to COPD...there are those who never smoked who develope COPD. The question now becomes what does one do if they aquire this disease? My best advise is to do the proverbial homework...#Research Main stream Medicine claims there is no cure for COPD...and thus prescribes big Pharm prescriptions for treatment with little if any results...and at a tremendous financial cost! Main stream medicine forgoes the hypocritical oath for the sake of profit...a very sad state of affairs...  This also applies to the treatment of cancer as well

When beloved actor Leonard Nimoy was rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment eight days before his death, it signified his final struggle with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), a condition he had battled for years.

Although the “Star Trek” star had quit smoking 30 years earlier, Nimoy said that the damage from the habit didn’t surface until later. And when it did, the results were tragically lethal. The 83 year old, best known for his portrayal as Mr. Spock, died in his Bel-Air home on Friday.

Pulmonologist Alberto J. Polito, M.D., told Newsmax Health that Nimoy’s case is not unusual. Although Dr. Polito did not treat the actor, he said many of his COPD patients suffer the delayed effects of smoking long after they quit.
“It’s my suspicion that Nimoy did a lot of damage to his lungs from smoking, but not so much that it’s effects were felt when he was in his 50s and 60s,” said Dr. Polito, chief of pulmonary medicine and medical director of the Lung Center at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore.

“As he continued to grow older and lose lung cells he reached a critical point of not having enough lung tissue to maintain the oxygen level his body needed.”

There are three degrees of COPD – mild, moderate, and severe. When COPD becomes severe, it causes flare-ups, which are called “exacerbations.” With each exacerbation, COPD patients lose more lung tissue, further eroding their breathing capacity.

Nimoy was apparently suffering a flare-up when he was rushed to the hospital on Feb. 19 complaining of chest pain. Chest pain and shortness of breath are symptoms of an exacerbation. “The airways get very, very tight and the patient cannot catch their breath. It’s a very frightening feeling,” said Dr. Polito.

“Flare ups are often triggered by infection, changes in the weather, or exposure to substances that are irritating to the lung. In an acute flare up, airways get very tight and patients must be hospitalized. That’s debilitating and they lose their normal level of functioning. It’s a hit to the system,” he added.
According to Dr. Polito, the tragedy of COPD is that, although there has been progress on how to treat the symptoms of the disease, no significant strides have made in terms of a cure. Meanwhile, the number of people diagnosed with the disease is climbing as the American population ages.

“There have been many strides made against heart disease and, although we have a ways to go, we have made progress in treating many types of cancer. But COPD has completely bucked that trend,” said Dr. Polito. “The death rate keeps going up and up and up.”
Studies show that about 8 percent of people hospitalized for COPD die in the hospital, and one in four who are released succumb within the next six months.

“Being hospitalized for COPD is a big deal. The mortality figures for those who die in the hospital from COPD and heart attack are about the same,” said Dr. Polito.

In the last year of his life, Nimoy made it his mission to warn others about COPD, often taking to social media to warn against smoking, which is the primary cause of the illness.

Although he was able to make public appearances during his fight with the ailment, he used an oxygenator, a portable device that helps people with COPD breathe.
COPD is the third leading cause of death in the U.S. behind heart disease and cancer.

Before he quit in the 1980s, Nimoy was a three-pack-a-day smoker. He said he was shocked to be diagnosed with COPD decades after quitting.

“I didn’t think it was fair,” he told the interviewer.

Last year he took to Twitter in an effort to help others avoid his fate:

“Smokers, please understand. If you quit after you’re diagnosed with lung damage it’s too late… learn my lesson. Quit now. LLAP (Live long and prosper).”

17-year-old Cassandra was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. With her mother's approval, Cassandra refused chemotherapy. The State of Connecticut stepped in and gave an order to remove her from her home and administer the treatments. Now, she is filing a lawsuit against the state.   

According to court documents, which list her as "Cassandra," she was diagnosed back in September 2014 with Hodgkins Lymphoma, a cancer of the lymphatic system, which is part of the immune system.
Cassandra decided that she did not want to undergo the chemotherapy and her mother supported that decision.

"She has always—even years ago—said that if she was diagnosed with cancer, she would not put poison into her body," said Jackie Fortin, Cassandra's mother.
However, in November of 2014, the Connecticut Department of Children and Families (DCF) petitioned a court for temporary custody of Cassandra in order to force Cassandra to receive the chemotherapy.
Both Cassandra and her mother complied with the order at first and Cassandra received the first two treatments of chemotherapy in the same month. However, after completing her second treatment, Cassandra ran away to avoid having to receive further treatment.

Upon her return, Cassandra continued to refuse treatment.
DCF then petitioned the court again. After hearing testimony from Cassandra's doctors, the DCF demanded Cassandra be removed from her home, taken into their custody and forced to receive the chemotherapy against her will.
Cassandra and her mother appealed the decision. They claim that the state should recognize its "mature minor doctrine," a provision that deems that deems that certain minors are capable of making major decisions on their own.
Michael S. Taylor represents Cassandra's mother and argues, "It's a question of fundamental constitutional rights–the right to have a say over what happens to your body–and the right to say to the government 'you can't control what happens to my body.'"

"That really ought to be up to Cassandra. It ought not to be for the state to jump in and say 'well, regardless of your decision, we think we know better,'" said Taylor.
Mr. Taylor argues that there is a fine balancing act going on here, one between a serious need for treatment and her right to refuse that treatment. "There are a lot of ways the state recognizes that people who are under 18 can be mature enough to make very important decisions," said Taylor.

Not surprisingly, Taylor points out that in Connecticut one can drive a car at 16, murder their unborn baby at 18 without parental consent and that you can be charged as an adult if you commit a crime while under the age of 18.
I do agree that this is no place for the state to jump in. I also agree that it is Cassandra's body. On top of that, I think I would question whether her mother is acting appropriately in this manner. Is there no parent out there that loves their child enough to want to do whatever they could to provide the care they needed, even if they didn't want it?
How often, as a child, my parents provided certain care that I didn't want because it hurt or was uncomfortable. I'm glad they did it, but they didn't need the state sticking their nose in our family's business.

"When experts -- such as the several physicians involved in this case -- tell us with certainty that a child will die as a result of leaving a decision up to a parent, then the Department has a responsibility to take action. Even if the decision might result in criticism, we have an obligation to protect the life of the child when there is consensus among the medical experts that action is required," countered the DCF.
It's almost comical the level of hypocrisy the state puts out. I can tell DCF that it is with complete certainty that when a young woman enters an abortion clinic that they are not dealing with their own body only, but the body of another person made in God's image and the procedures performed inside those clinics will certainly end the life of a child. However, I don't see them taking a stand in front of abortion clinics and demanding court orders against underage girls or adult women from murdering their babies, do you? The fact is that they promote such criminal actions.

This isn't about "constitutional rights." It's about proper parenting, taking responsibility and valuing life. While I agree that the state is rather whimsical when it comes to its determination of ages for various ethical and unethical things (abortion), this really is none of their business and they have already shown that they don't care about life, as demonstrated in their abortion policies.

The Drawbacks of Traditional Cancer Treatment

In conventional cancer treatments, the body is bombarded with a large dose of toxicity – drugs and often radiation. This method harms the immune system, which makes it difficult to truly deliver a cancer cure. People struggle with the nausea and go bald from the toxicity of the drugs; this doesn't improve the quality of life much either.
In 1986, the McGill Cancer Center scientists surveyed 118 oncologists who specialized in lung cancer. They were asked if they would take chemo if they developed lung cancer. Three-quarters replied they would not.
It has long been acknowledged that the type of radiation used in the 1960s and 1970s elevated women's risk of subsequent cardiovascular disease. So many women were dying of the long-term adverse effects that it more or less counterbalanced any survival benefit from the treatment itself.
However, it is now said the newer forms of radiation minimize this sort of heart damage. To those of us who work with alternative medicine for cancer treatment, this did not ring true. Sure enough, a large and prolonged study by the Netherlands Cancer Institute showed that modern radiation also increases the risk of heart disease in women who receive it following surgery for breast cancer. Study results were published March 7, 2007, in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute (JNCI).

On Conventional Cancer Treatment

Stanford University doctors compared the effects of chemotherapy to doing nothing in patients with slow-growing tumors of the lymph nodes. The patients whose treatment was deferred for years did just as well as patients who immediately received expensive and unpleasant chemotherapy. Nineteen of the 83 (or 23%) experienced spontaneous remission lasting four months to six years. A review of the study in the New England Journal of Medicine concluded, "...deferring treatment ... may allow for spontaneous regression of the disease."

Medical study shows: untreated patients live up to 4 times longer than those who received conventional cancer therapy

NEWSFLASH: Woops! Study Accidentally Finds Chemotherapy Makes Cancer Far Worse.

The Contribution of Cytotoxic Chemotherapy to 5-year Survival in Adult Malignancies

Chemotherapy drugs are cytotoxic, meaning they poison the cells in our body that multiply the most rapidly, which is how the majority of cancer cells perform. Chemo drugs however don't just kill the cancer cells that are dividing, but any dividing cell, including the multitude of healthy cells all over the body caught in the act of dividing. For those whose 'healthy' cells are multiplying faster than the cancer cells, there isn't even a theoretical chance of success. This explains why chemotherapy is effective in only 2 to 4% of cancers - primarily, Hodgkins disease, Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia, Testicular cancer, and Choriocarcinoma.  

 

For the majority of people who have healthy cell division, you may end up killing the body before the cancer. For instance, there is a high probability that certain fast multiplying immune system cells including our T and B lymphocytes will also die, contributing to our body's inability to fight opportunistic diseases that arise as a result of the treatment.
