The Deep State is in panic mode because a Monmouth University Poll showed that nearly 3-in-4 (74%) say they believe the Deep State exists in Washington.
From the Monmouth Poll:
Turning to the Washington political
infrastructure as a whole, 6-in-10 Americans (60%) feel that unelected
or appointed government officials have too much influence in determining
federal policy. Just 26% say the right balance of power exists between
elected and unelected officials in determining policy. Democrats (59%),
Republicans (59%) and independents (62%) agree that appointed officials
hold too much sway in the federal government.
“We usually expect opinions on the
operation of government to shift depending on which party is in charge.
But there’s an ominous feeling by Democrats and Republicans alike that a
‘Deep State’ of unelected operatives are pulling the levers of power,”
said Murray.
Few Americans (13%) are very familiar
with the term “Deep State;” another 24% are somewhat familiar, while 63%
say they are not familiar with this term. However, when the term is
described as a group of unelected government and military officials who
secretly manipulate or direct national policy, nearly 3-in-4 (74%) say
they believe this type of apparatus exists in Washington. This includes
27% who say it definitely exists and 47% who say it probably exists.
Only 1-in-5 say it does not exist (16% probably not and 5% definitely
not). Belief in the probable existence of a Deep State comes from more
than 7-in-10 Americans in each partisan group, although Republicans
(31%) and independents (33%) are somewhat more likely than Democrats
(19%) to say that the Deep State definitely exists.
I find it ironic that the Deep State is panicked by the thought that the public knows that the Deep State exists, and is too powerful. The Deep State actors, of course, prefer to operate in the shadows, but this poll shows they are now in the light of day. They are now intent on diverting attention from themselves and directing it to Donald Trump, of course, and the Russians.
From InfoWars.com:
“This is real,” Mika Brzezinski said,
suggesting that Trump “may be on to something” as he continues to call
out the intelligence community and highlight their misdeeds and
failings.
“The attacks against the so-called deep
state … by the president and some Republicans actually might be taking
hold,” Brzezinski told viewers.
“America is an idea, it’s not a democracy, it’s not a republic before it is an idea,” said analyst Mike Barnicle.
“And the idea that 74 percent, according
to the Monmouth University poll, believe there is a deep state run by a
military-political intellectual hierarchy, apart from government, and
this is the gift we’ve gotten from Donald Trump.” Barnicle continued to
spout.
“This is the gift we’ve gotten from him surrendering to Vladimir Putin and causing chaos in the country.” Barnicle charged.
Council on Foreign Relations president
Richard Haas declared that “This is not happening in a vacuum,”
expressing concern over how a mistrust in a deep state among Americans
would affect foreign policy.
“Over the next two or three months this
administration is going to face three enormous decisions, what to do
about these tariffs, and what to do about the Iran nuclear agreement,
and the idea that it is consumed by this chaotic churn of people and
what to do about this investigation, the combination of the two, again,
this is about as bad as it gets.” Haas complained.
Those statements come from a MSNBC video with none other than Mika
Brzezinski, daughter of Zbigniew Brzezinski, who was a founder of the
Trilateral Commission and a Deep State player. Robert Haas, President of
the Council on Foreign Relations, is another Deep State player. It is laughable to see Deep State players claiming that the Deep State is a “conspiracy theory”, and that it is an invention of Donald Trump. That 74% of the Monmouth Poll respondents realize that the Deep State exists, by whatever name we give it, is very encouraging. That in the face of this public recognition of its existence the Deep State players continue to call it “conspiracy theory” shows they are in panic mode. They have no other excuse, or explanation, to fall back on. For Mike Barnicle to attempt to bring Vladimir Putin into the picture shows just how desperate the Deep State is.
