Cliven Bundy on blacks: Were they better off as slaves?

RangeShowdown
oped: Although Mr.Bundy's venacular and choice of words took some people aback and made them grimace...one must take into account this was said by a elderly rancher with a limited education...what he was speaking to, is that a lot of African Americans have become slaves to government....High unemployment, single moms on welfare, high school dropouts with no future in sight!
Mr.Bundy has a valid point as dependence on government certainly could be considered a form of slavery to the proverbial state!
Let's address the word that made everyone Grimace' ..."Negro" hello this word was used on all government forms related to the question of race up through the 1970's in the 1980's it was replaced by the word "African American" [And by the way that was the word that would have been used on Barack Obama's so called LF Birth Certificate not African American as was used on the fake one ] What Mr. Bundy said using the word "Negro" was said not that long ago by non other than Sen Harry Reid...what did the NYT and the looney left say about that?..'Oh thats just Harry he didn't mean any harm' Hypocrisy anyone?

When did the word "Negro" become taboo? well maybe this addresses the issue: http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/explainer/2010/01/when_did_the_word_negro_become_taboo.html

Harry Reid finally apologized to Barack Obama on Saturday for the 2008 remark he made about him, calling Obama a "light-skinned" black man "with no Negro dialect unless he wanted to have one. I guess it's just a coinsedence that he all of a sudden felt bad for what he had said, at the same time a book was released, quoting him on it. He told Obama that he had used "a poor choice of words", in wich Obama then quickly accepted the apology.

However, in 2002, Obama was VERY offended at what REPUBLICAN Senator Trent Lott said about praising FORMER segregationist, Strom Thurmond. Obama said "The Republican Party itself has to drive out Trent Lott. If they have to stand for something, they have to stand up and say this is not the person we want representing our party." So then, it's double standard Mr. President! If the Democratic Party should stand for something GOOD in our nation, shouldn't they demand Harry Reid to resign?

Maybe they're ALL just bunch of people who think you're a "light-skinned" black man "with no Negro dialect. Are those the kind of people you want in your party? You know, your Democrats are defending Harry Reid. Democratic National Committee Chairman, Tim Kaine said "It definitely was in the context of recognizing in Senator Obama, a great candidate, and future president." Diane Frankenstien said that Harry Reid "just made a mistake."

It's now even being reported that during the 2008 campaign Ted Kennedy had stated that once while Bill Clinton was in the process of disparaging Obama, Clinton had said that 'a few years ago Barack Obama would have been getting us coffee." Maybe, Mr. President you think this kind of language is okay for the Democratic party to use. That's find with me! According to a Mason Dixon poll, 52 percent of the people from Reid's state of Nevada have an unfavorable opinion of him, 33 percent have a favorable view of him, and another 15 percent said they're neutral. Reid is up again, for election in November, and between now and then, I can't see him making things better for himself, or your party.

I take severe umbrage to the NYT article by: Adam Nagourney ... header :

"A List of Cliven Bundy's Supporters, Now That We Know He's a Pro-Slavery Racist "
