The Day the Music Died...Feb 3,1959

Before The Beatles, The Beach Boys or The Rolling Stones ever played a note, Rock 'n' Roll was forever changed by Buddy Holly, a 19-year-old kid from Texas. Buddy's meteoric rise to fame, from the moment in 1957 when "That'll Be the Day" hit the airwaves until his tragic death less than two years later.

It would behoove all the Sharptons,Jacksons,Obamas and Holders of the world to take notice...Buddy Holly was the magnet for race relations and cross over music blending soul, rock and roll, bee bop and country music which reached out to the youth of all genders, race and creed. Buddy Holly and the Crickets were a positive influence on the youth of the late 1950's And for the record Buddy Holly and the Crickets were the first white group to play at the famous Apollo Theater in Harlem!
