Let's be honest...both sides of the aisle are guilty as charged...when it comes to the Social Security/Medicare debate. Both would be solvent today if there was a lock box on the funds...Democrat as well as Republican administrations have been stealing from the funds since inception. Now comes the Obamacare fiasco here we go again...massive stealing from the fund to the tune of 716 billion....this is no different than the stealing from the 'Medicare' fund to supplement the funding of 'Medicaid' for Illegal Alien medical programs which fund 'Anchor Babies' /Abortion Clinics 'Planned Parenthood'
As for Social Security maybe it is past due time to put all Congressmen, Senators as well as the President and VP into Social Security retirement / Medicare programs..They are Civil Servants and work for 'we the people'...should they not also receive the same benefits as we...they should not be entitled to extravagant retirement programs!
I suspect if they were placed into the same retirement system/medical as we...they would not raid the cookie jar...as it would effect their benefits! nor would they make it a career job...it was not intended to be..per our founding fathers.
