My very first and last poem...it was published just prior to 911...freaked me out ...!
Dedicated to those who fight Terrorism...
'The Millennium 500'
The Lord is in High Gear~the Devil in Low
Along comes the New Millennium
with just a quarter mile to go~
Our Lord's Pit crew stands ready to go
The Devil shifts into high gear to bring us his wrath
His pit crew stands ready all fired up with high-octane gas
Our Lord smiles down on us~and with a wink of his eye~
He crosses the finish line ahead of the class
When all is said and done the moral becomes~
Faith is much faster than high octane gas....!
