According to the podcast “The Axe Files,” Solis Doyle, a former aide on Democrat front-runner Hillary Clinton’s senatorial and presidential campaigns, stated that Clinton “gets tired” and “does it (campaigning) dutifully.”
“You know, (Clinton’s) tired. She gets tired. She does it. She does it dutifully. Is it her most fun thing to do? No,” Doyle said. “Would she rather be looking at policy and going through legislation and working with a bunch of experts on how to, you know, improve the Affordable Care Act? Absolutely.”
David Axelrod, the show’s host, jumped in: “I was in a discussion today and I quoted the famous Mario Cuomo about campaigning — ‘you campaign in poetry and govern in prose.’ She doesn’t seem all that comfortable with the poetry.”
Their comments others about Clinton made by billionaire businessman Donald Trump, as reported by The Washington Post:
“She’ll do a couple of minutes in Iowa, meaning a short period of time. And then she goes home,” Trump said in Davenport, Iowa, a few weeks ago. “You don’t see her for five or six days. She goes home, goes to sleep. I’m telling you. She doesn’t have the strength. She doesn’t have the stamina.”
“Hillary is a person who doesn’t have the strength or the stamina, in my opinion, to be president,” Trump told ABC’s “This Week,” according to The Post. “She doesn’t have strength or stamina. She’s not a strong enough person to be president.”
Fair point. If she thinks campaigning is a challenge, she’s got another thing coming with the presidential schedule. Americans deserve a president who won’t complain about being woken up by that 3 a.m. phone call.
Trump even told a South Carolina crowd that “she’s even lower-energy than Jeb Bush.”
I guess lying really takes it out of you.
