Dear Fellow American, Like you, I'm sick of the "BS" in Washington. Congress and the White House are incapable of solving this nation's most pressing issues for one reason—they refuse to work together. As a result, you and I have suffered and our country is no longer the shining city on the hill. This special election to replace disgraced Congressman Jesse Jackson, Jr. will decide who holds the bargaining chips in Washington moving forward: Barack Obama, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi and their army of progressives, or middle class Americans like you and me, who believe in limited government, fiscal responsibility, and family values. I don't have to tell you there's only one acceptable outcome. I'm running to restore in Washington the "let's work together" spirit of President Reagan and force both Republicans and Democrats to put the partisan bickering aside and do what it takes to put America first. It's on the South Side of Chicago—the president's own back yard—and radical allies like Mayor Rahm Emanuel will go to great lengths to keep this seat in the Dem column. But the political climate is in our favor and we can win this race for three reasons: Turnout is lower than average in special elections, and Republican voters make up for in enthusiasm what they lack in numbers. There's a bloody 16-way primary for the Democratic nomination including former Congressman Mel Reynolds, a convicted felon who served 8 years in prison for sexually abusing a 16-year-old campaign volunteer. I offer a unique blend of conservative values and strong relationships within the community that make my campaign a force to be reckoned with. Winning this race will be a game-changer for Republicans. I am exactly what our party needs right now: a minority who stands for our conservative values, but understands the other side, and more importantly, is willing to work with the other side to get the job done for all Americans.
