The V&T Railroad offers daily scenic, narrated steam and diesel train rides winding through the hills of the Comstock from Virginia City to Gold Hill and back, where, during the Big Bonanza in the 1870’s, miners worked one of the richest deposits of silver and gold ever found. This shaped mining throughout the world over the next 50 years.

The Virginia & Truckee is by far the most famous of all American short lines and was brought back to life by Robert C. Gray in 1976, who was one of the passengers on the last train to Virginia City in 1938. Today the V&T is 140 years old and still steaming for you to relive the days of gold and silver mining on the Comstock.
The V&T family wishes you and your families a happy and prosperous year. We invite you to peruse our website and check out what’s in store for 2017. See you soon! https://www.virginiatruckee.com/
