Nancy Pelosi’s Answer About Loretta Lynch Is Her Most Absurd Comment Ever

Democrats have been hounding Attorney General Jeff Sessions to recuse himself from any investigations involving the Trump campaign and Russia.
So reporters asked Nancy Pelosi a question regarding a similar situation that had involved Loretta Lynch and the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s illegal private email server.
Pelosi’s answer was one of the most ridiculous things she’s ever said.
Attorney General Jeff Sessions recused himself from any investigation involving the Trump campaign and Russia after it was revealed he met twice with Russia’s Ambassador.
While the media and Democrats tried to play this up into a major scandal, Sessions’ meetings with the Ambassador were perfectly normal.

But Democrats weren’t satisfied and tried to manufacture a greater scandal surrounding the meetings.
In response, some reporters asked Nancy Pelosi to consider the irony in Sessions’ decision to recuse himself, while Loretta Lynch refused to step aside from the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email server – even after it was revealed she had met with Bill Clinton for 30 minutes aboard her government plane.
Critics were outraged to learn of this meeting and believed it demonstrated the fix was in for Hillary.

The Daily Caller reports on Pelosi’s answer to the question:
“There couldn’t be a starker difference,” the House Minority Leader stated. “Attorney General Lynch had a social encounter, serendipitous, some might say, that the former president of the United States came by to say hello and they discussed their grandchildren.”
“She did not have a major role in the Hillary Clinton campaign,” she continued. “This is a completely different thing. The reason we have been saying that the Attorney General Sessions should step aside and maybe should never have been confirmed is because he was a surrogate.”

“He was a very important part, one of the first people in the Congress to endorse President Trump, and now we see that he — although he has not told the truth about it — had conversations with Russian officials.”
“This couldn’t be more stark in terms of relationship to the campaign and who the attorney general was speaking to,” she repeated. “No, they’re completely different, day and night.”

Critics were astonished Pelosi would make such a claim.
While it’s true Lynch was not a campaign surrogate, there had already been reports that Hillary intended to keep Loretta Lynch on as Attorney General should she win the election.
And Bill Clinton had appointed Lynch to be the United States Attorney for the Eastern District of New York.
Both were staggering conflicts of interest.
But Lynch still refused to remove herself from the investigation.
Instead, she merely claimed she would accept whatever recommendation the FBI handed down.
However, many viewed the investigation as tainted after Lynch had met with former President Bill Clinton.
And now, many view Pelosi’s defense of Lynch as pure partisan politics instead of a well-reasoned argument.
