'Tidal wave' of EPA regulations threatens U.S. 'fracking' revolution
The new rules for oil and gas wells proposed by the Environmental Protection Agency would limit methane from fracking sites, creating new costs that the industry says are "unnecessary." The booming industry, which has helped make the U.S. the world's leading energy producer, is fighting back. Howard Feldman of the American Petroleum Institute told reporters that "there is just a whole lot coming at us," calling it a "regulatory tidal wave."
