ox News recently announced that its superstar anchorwoman Megyn Kelly would be moving to evenings from her daytime slot as the network revamps its primetime schedule for the first time in 10 years.

According to information sources provided to the Drudge Report, that hour is 9 p.m. — the time slot now filled by Sean Hannity’s show.
“FOXNEWS is set to make its first primetime schedule change in 10 years, the Drudge Report has learned. Superstar newswoman Megyn Kelly has landed the 9p.m. slot, top sources reveal.”
Matt Drudge reports the official announcement will be made later this month.
One hour after breaking the story on his news site, Drudge took to his personal Twitter account to opine about Fox News head Roger Ailes: “Megyn Kelly to 9PM on FOXNEWS means different things to different people. In the end, it’s Ailes doing what he does best: Broadcasting …”

Hannity is signed to a long-term contract that will reportedly keep him on the network through the 2016 election.
Other primetime hosts, Bill O’Reilly and Greta Van Susteren, like Hannity, are in the midst of long-term contracts. Recently, Van Susteren responded to rumors that she would be bumped by Kelly by saying she had a contract for a daily, primetime show.
If confirmed at 9 p.m., Kelly would be up against hosts Piers Morgan on CNN and Rachel Maddow on MSNBC.
Fox host Eric Bolling is already tweeting as if it’s fact, writing: “ALERT!.. some bad news for Rachel!” and “Having a bad day?… not as bad as Piers.”

Piers, in turn, tweeted: “Bring it on” at Megyn Kelly.
Thus far, Fox News has refused to confirm the report.
In July, Fox News Chairman and CEO Roger Ailes announced that Kelly would move to a prime time slot upon her return from maternity leave.
A Fox News spokesperson, however, said no official announcement will be made at this time.
“We will neither confirm nor deny any programming schedule changes,” the spokesperson said. “As previously stated, the network has signed long-term deals with Megyn Kelly, Bret Baier, Shepard Smith, Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity and Greta Van Susteren.”

Kelly joined Fox News in 2004, where she started out as a general assignment reporter based in Washington.
She has previously co-anchored “America’s Newsroom” with Bill Hemmer and now hosts “America Live.”
Kelly holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Syracuse University and a J.D. from Albany Law School, where she graduated with honors and served as editor of the Albany Law Review.
