(POLITICO) — President Barack Obama will travel to Colorado on Sunday to meet with the victims of the shooting tragedy and their families, the White House announced Saturday.
Details on the president’s visit and the Colorado event remained fluid as local, state and federal authorities continue to deal with the aftermath of the shooting at an Aurora movie screening that left more than 70 people shot, including 12 dead and many more in critical condition. . . .
Obama will fly to San Francisco later Sunday after his visit in Colorado. He’s then scheduled to return to the campaign trail with his first stop Monday at the Veterans of Foreign Wars national convention in Reno, Nev. Obama then flies back to San Francisco Monday afternoon for a pair of fundraising events.
